Fantastic Chips - just the way I like them and super generous portions too!

Smoothie was not fresh, far too sweet to be natural. Saw frozen kale. No taste of banana. It tasted artificial. The description was misleading. I drink a lot of fresh smoothies and feel refreshed due to the real fresh products. Maybe there was some real bits in but as fresh…..I felt awful after as it was filled with artificial sugar.

It was amazing, great food and the staff are friendly very good food was still hot when got home 5 stars

High end price for an average breakfast. For such an ‘artisan’ experience I expected a bit more. A full English consists of one rasher of bacon, one sausage and 3 strips of mushroom placed on the plate like a barcode. Not even a whole mushroom! Padded out with a single slice of toast and a hash brown. For the price they are charging this was disappointing. I didn’t have a coffee but one of the friends I was with opted not to finish hers as it was (her own word) ‘meh’. Such a shame as the cafe itself is light and bright, good space to sit. Unlikely to go back and won’t be recommending.

I've been living in Addlestone for the past 3 years and it's only this year that I started to go there.. what took me so long?!? I've been there many times now and tried various things on their menu. Great food (and generous portions), reasonable price and staff are always friendly and make you feel welcome.

Food is excellent definite the 12-inch pizza £4.95 Monday to Thursday and pie chips and curry sauce never had a problem made us very welcome and had a laugh with the owner will see you next season from the three Mancunian lads 👍👍

I would expected by now that the coffee would be served in cutlery by now, as the takeaway/waxed cardboard cups is what I expect from thecheaper coffee places the likes of Greggs/McDonalds

We discovered Esquires soon after it opened in Addlestone. We generally stay in the Premier Inn just round the corner and prefer a light breakfast or just a coffee. The staff have always been very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The coffee has always been very good and the pastries fresh. A nice touch is that they will warm them up for you. The breakfast offerings are exactly the sort of thing we like so that is always an added bonus. Will definitely continue to use them when we are staying in Addlestone.

Short lunch break and served promptly. Lovely balti chicken ciabatta with a nice bit of salad, massive ‘regular’ cup of decaf latte. Tucked away in Addlestone One development near cinema, and worth a visit.

I'm a regular visitor, service is always good, coffee is excellent as is the bacon sandwich, not used much for lunch, so can't comment. Full English and derivatives are excellent.

Fresh fish and huge amount of lovely chips, cooked to order and piping hot. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Loved the plaice (no pun intended). You can’t go wrong! Bill & Anne McHugh

I've had fish n' chips all over the world (literally) and this spot is the best I've had to date. Family owned and operated. The purveyors of this lightly breaded whole cod filet cooked to order, sell a host of other assorted mouth watering delights. They treat everyone who enter like family, and are always very generous (almost too much so) with the chips. Excellent for take away!

If you haven’t used them before I suggest you do! From burgers to fish to kebabs, we have never had a bad experience ordering from these guys. Great value for money and good ingredients, would highly recommend.

First time I've ordered from them and it's my last no mayo in burger and the chips taste like they have been swimming in salt can't taste the chips when they ask I should of said no I'll do it my self 😠

First time ordering a take away from this place. I didn’t order anything too confusing yet one of the two people behind the counter didn’t seem know what day it was and seemed my order had thrown him a little off balance ? I just simply ordered small chips, saveloy and a large sausage, the more switched on of the two men asked if I wanted salt and vinegar which I replied yes please. I then leave with said food. I arrive home to find I have half cooked chips without salt and vinegar, a Luke warm saveloy and no sausage. Shame because I had heard good things about this place when I moved to the Area this year!! Come on fellas… it wasn’t a tricky one!!

We’ve ordered from here a few times. Food portions are generous and the batter on the fish was thin and crispy and not oily as requested. It was just like eating there. My brother who owns a take away absolutely loved his meal. The neal was packaged really well and food was piping hot and on time. Looking forward to ordering again.

Total shambles barista spilt my daughters latte on me whilst putting mine on the table . When my breakfast came the poached eggs were over cooked when I complained I was told by the chef “ I’m the chef they are fine. When my daughters poached eggs with Avacado came the whole dish was stone cold so she took it back and asked for her money back . I am so disappointed in both the service and the so called chefs attitude I will not be recommending and would advise you to avoid this farce of a coffee house .

Called in for a coffee - great to have somewhere independent rather than usual chains. Coffee was perfect and cafe is very comfy.

Dear Sir/Madam, I have used your chip shop for many years. But recently I’ve noticed your chips aren’t proper chips. There seem to be a lot of small crunchy bits in the bag, as if it’s from the bottom of the fryer. Apologies for pointing this out but I needed to air my view. Thanks.

The place good, food good as well,but for me the fish should be more dry of oil and the worse thing is that can entry the people without mask as nothing and after 10 mins inside is when wear the mask.where are the social safety rules?

AJ and his team provide a wide range of lovely, high quality food and drinks. Very spacious and very light with windows down two sides. Very handy for 'The Light Cinema' next door so visit before or after.

Fantastic food, fresh, very generous portions, lovely batter firm chunky cod and REAL chips. Best in the area.

First time using this chippy. I ordered for delivery. Arrived within the time they specified. Food was hot and well packaged. Cod was really nice, the chips are to. Cannot fault the food or service, will use again either by delivery or popping in! Nice to find a decent chippy who delivers, give them a go.

Says open and phone was even busy at one point but I tried more than enough times and they never answered. If you got a business you could at least act like your actually running it ! Absolutely useless

We always eat here during our stay and I can honestly say the fish is the best you will find anywhere. Skinned with a light batter and a generous portion of chips. Eat in the restaurant or out of the wrapper, delicious either way

Absolutely terrible food .. Had to drive it back for a refund.... It was that bad ... Very rude verbal response from the owner... Steer well clear

Great take away There was no chicken and mushroom pies in stock so had a call to explain and I decided to try a chicken kebab off the first time . Got to say delicious, very happy !!!! chips not greesy and chicken nuggets are the best . Great delivery too can highly recommend 😁

The food was collected to be returned. The batter on the fish was thick and gloopy. Fish tasted disgusting and exactly the same as the chips. Everything we ordered was swimming in oil. Very disappointed.

Best chip shop in the area. Fish is a great size and is always cooked fresh, I have also tried there kebabs and they are just as great.

Our first time in Addlestone and the reviews guided us here. We walked past another chippy on the way, that was almost as well rated, and they were really busy. When we got here there was only one other customer, which made us wonder if we'd chosen the wrong place. The reviews were right. We got fish and chips, plus curry sauce and a cheeseburger. It was all really nice, even after a walk home. Their curry sauce is really good and the burger was fantastic. There was a bit of a wait, but definitely worth it. We'd definitely go back.

Fantastic fish would recommend this fish & chip shop to anyone, the skin on the fish has been taken off , what a difference it make's not having the skin on, very friendly and they make you welcome.

It only gets 1star for the fact it does gravy.. And only chippy ive found in 16 years after moving from Manchester that does it down south outside of that it deserves a minus...they can't even get chips to taste half decent

Always good value for money with huge portions and a very enjoyable meal. Batter can be a little soggy underneath at times, but the fish is nicely fried. Plus, they do home delivery!
