Not great, the food was very slow and for some reason all dishes were covered in fried onion without any mention in the menu (including a ragù gnocchi that really didn't need it and a risotto that lost it's tastes completely) very small kids portions

We had a a lovely meal on Sunday lunchtime (3rd November 2024).The food was wonderful, mains of Chicken, Beef, and Belly Pork and a trio of puddings. The event was a catch-up with friends and colleagues we had not seen over the last ten years or so. Lauren and her colleagues did a fantastic job in proving food and drinks in a timely fashion. Thank you very much team.

We like to come here for our Sunday lunch. We tend to walk here from Weybridge because the food and service is A1. Not had a bad experience yet. The staff are always happy to help and always bring a smile. The price is very reasonable also. We must not forget the extra servings of Gravy, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding should you want it. Lastly its always a joy to have Jannis at front of house and also serving. She holds the whole team and experience together. Were it not for Jannis I think the service would be at a loss. See you soon.

We chose The Bridge as the venue for Dad’s wake. After a difficult day, the Bridge staff were so kind - nothing was too much trouble and they looked after our 65 guests so well. The buffet was tasty and the room with its Thameside terrace was the perfect venue. Many of us stayed over, and the rooms are extremely comfortable. The a la carte breakfast the next morning was very welcome and delightfully unhurried. All in all, we could not have been better looked after.

Food good quality but steak meal was small. Chips in a basket which disguises how little there were until tipped out on the plate. One small mushroom and one small tomato. The plate had bare patches on it before I started. Come on guys, mushrooms and tomatoes cost next to nothing. Finally a 12.5 % service charge was added which is optional but who wants the embarrassment of asking for it to be taken off? It won't stop me going back as I like the atmosphere and it's next to where we are staying but these little irritations could put some others off.

Discussing! I ordered chicken burger and this was inside! Was told that its cooked and is not old, but i mean i had burgers everywhere and never ever seen this! I am also a cook and i know what cooked looks! The waitress couldn't care less of our complaint but just tried to justify that this is how its supposed to be as its a cooked lettuce! No regards of customers satisfaction at all. We come here very often and to be treated like this? Totally unacceptable! I will be contacting head office about this. Update; At the end of the meal another waiter came to clear the table and again we said that we were not happy. He said the salad has turned like that because of the heat but he said he will go into the kitchen to check and come back to us. He disappeared and never came back! Not even for curtesy to let us know whatever his findings were! Very poor customer service. We were regulars here and brought our friends and family too. Not anymore.

The reception staff did the correct thing to question the maid who cleaned the room but obviously denied it.Very disappointing. Not to mention the amount of bugs which got into the room which is understandable due to staff not being able to control it but the massive cobwebs in the corner of the rooms could have been dealt with.

This pub from arrival looked amazing, even upon walking in and being served! Very good service and great selection of drinks, inside looks and feels amazing. However I was served a roast dinner here, the rolled pork shoulder! Unfortunately on this occasion I decided to eat all of my dinner and save the meat for last… what a mistake. The shoulder I received was literally a giant ball of fat! NO JOKE… not even a slither of meat. Problem was it looked alright on the outside because it had crisped over! But yeah unfortunately the pub weren’t interested in doing anything for me what so ever because I’d ate the rest of my dinner! Sometimes I like to save the best bit till last right. The staff basically didn’t care what so ever, even though it was clear to see there was a huge ball of fat on my plate once I’d cut it in half! You could even lightly poke the side of the plate with your finger and the ‘shoulder’ would wobbly like a lump of jelly, absolutely horrendous, how the chef didn’t notice this one. The staff basically ignored me as if this was a joke, embarrassing, I even said at least perhaps a free beer but I wasn’t even given a response which is belittling really.

Saw a bartender making two apperol spritzer, however she ran out of sparkling wine halfway through the second one. She added more ice and topped that one up with additional soda water so that it matched the first one in appearance only. Food we ordered was running out, so we had to make adjustments, which is not a problem in itself. However half of my chips were stone cold, while the others were scalding, the Sausages were cold and I was missing my "charred hispi". I requested the veg and was answered with "you what"? I pointed out the menu and this was brought out later, but what arrived was not charred hispi, not charred at all. I received soggy, boiled cabbage with 4 stray peas at the bottom of the bowl. The burger that had also been ordered was sadly flavourless, although it did look good. Very disappointing especially for the price paid.

Have stayed for one night with my wife for our anniversary. I always sceptical staying at pubs. Normally run down but heavily overpriced for the comfort ( or not) one gets. Not here. We had a beautiful room with lots of character put into. Little record player with vinyl. Good coffee machine and good sized bathroom beautiful done up. Good water pressure for a shower when one is used to German standard. Staff was throughout our stay friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was plenty with little buffet and a la carte ordering. All in all, great place. Highly recommended.

Looking for great food and service? Walk out of The Bridge Hotel bar, turn left and spend 1 minute walking over Chertsey bridge and into the King Fisher pub. What started out as just a few acceptable niggles soon turned into a disaster of a birthday meal, you'll be able to see from my previous google reviews this is the first negative I've ever left as typically praise good service/work and just never return to business's that provide poor service but given the other recent negative reviews about this venue I thought I best save someone else the misfortune and a ruined evening as a result of dining at The Bridge Hotel bar. We arrive as a group of four and after a drink at the bar we are seated at our table we had booked earlier in the week, the staff are friendly and ask if we would like water to accompany our beers/G&T's and bread and olives. We advise yes but bizarrely are provided 2 glasses for the water and 3 pieces of bread, making light of the situation I voice to waitress that which one of us will be going without the bread? No acknowledgement or response from the waitress we assume its simply an over sight and surely they would bring one further piece, sadly not the case but hey its bread and we will soon be tucking into the meal so not overly worried. We order our mains and my meal comes out first, the burger and chips! Looked decent but as the other 3 meals had still not arrived I wait a further 10 minutes, then the second meal arrives and now we wait another 10 minutes for our partners food to arrive who have both ordered "Beetroot & Mushroom Puff Pastry Roulade" It's essentially a plate of beetroot with a hint of pastry laid on top of even more beetroot for £17.. The waitress arrives and ask's if all is okay with our meals and when I advise that our partners were not happy with the meals she confirmed that they've had complaints previously about the dish I ask why an earth is it still being sold or not improved?? At this this stage I request to speak to the manager as I'm not happy with the standard of service or food especially as its not exactly a fast food restaurant we've stopped at for the evening. The manager arrives and ask's what's the problem, in a very stand off attitude straight from the start, I explain the issues and that we were not happy with our partners dishes and that the waitress herself confirmed there had been issues previously. The manager advised the Beetroot & Mushroom Puff Pastry Roulade dishes would be removed from the bill and asked if they would like any other dishes but as all the fish dishes were sold they decided not eat at this stage. Now during this complaint process mine and my friends meal has gone cold, my friend ask's if his can be reheated (correct me if i'n wrong here but any normal restaurant would throw this dish away and start again but no it was literally just re-heated and obviously now burnt & dry as a bone so he didn't eat that meal either. At this stage the evening had gone massively down hill as we were all hungry and fed up with the service, the manager presented the bill and advised he had provided a discount, I was still charged for the cold burger and the manager continued to talk over me when I was explaining the evening was completely ruined as result. Reviewing the other recent negative reviews regarding the food its clear something has gone wrong recently with the kitchen as it seems many others have enjoyed good grub previously but those that have had the similar bad experience to myself have received very similar service, to many other good restaurants in the area to risk dining at The Bridge Finished off the birthday meal with a McDonalds, at least it was hot!

We were very disappointed with our Sunday roast I’m afraid. Some menu items were unavailable so we both opted for roast pork. My meat was lovely, but my husband’s offering was half the size and not nice. This was swapped without question though. After this we had to prompt for everything and wait for ages - e.g apple sauce, the bill, the card machine and in particular ice cream - when it finally arrived (after prompting and a lengthy wait) it had clearly been sitting out for a while and was about half melted. The service was friendly enough when it happened but was otherwise really poor What a shame - The Bridge promised a lot (it’s a lovely venue ) but alas it did not deliver for us.

We booked online for the Sunday menu. When we got to the restaurant, we were told to sit, wherever we like and come up to the bar to order food. This is not the experience we had booked for. We were not advised when we entered the restaurant of any menu items that were not available, so we all made our choices, Roast dinners, of course, as it was Sunday. Went up to the bar to order as Requested Only to be told there was no roast dinners left. So we went back to our table and made alternative choices. From the very limited menu. Went up to order for a second time, and one of the two menu items that we chosen were not available. We rang up the restaurant over the bridge, the Kingfisher they were able to accept our booking at short notice, and they had a choice of two roast dinners still available at 7:30 that evening. So we upped and left without even having a drink at this establishment

The Bridge was our preferred pub for family celebrations and evening out with my wife, we have been there for many years but recently we had one of the worst experience ever. We booked a table to celebrate my daughter christening, on the day of the even when we arrived at the pub there wasn’t any table booked for us, our guests were standing awaiting to sit. I spoke with the manager who was arrogant and unable to deal with the situation. He suggested us to take a table with high chairs but didn’t notice that we had a disable person in wheel chair, he just told us if you don’t like this table you can go somewhere else. He didn’t apologies for what happened, didn’t try to find any other solutions. It was too late to go somewhere else so we had to wait and at the end we had to split the people in two different tables. The tables were dirty and even if we asked to clean, nobody came so we had to move the plates in another table and use tissues to clean. The food took so long to be served and the quality wasn’t great, the steaks were overcooked and the fish wasn’t great neither. Overall was a terrible experience, we were so embarrassed with our guests, we will never go there again.

She was very attentive throughout our visit and made sure that we had everything we wanted. The full English breakfast was lovely with good quality and tasty ingredients and it tasted freshly cooked and it was hot too. The second time (mainly because of our first positive experience) we went for dinner and again the food was delicious and atmosphere was very nice. This time we were greeted by Tom and again we were made to feel very welcome. We will definitely be going back to The Bridge again and I'd have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who is looking for a clean, welcoming atmosphere and tasty, freshly cooked food.

Not cheap, but the food was excellent and the staff were lovely always there when needed but not in your face. Would recommend and return.

Would have liked to stay longer and enjoy a drink in the garden by the river but not allowed after 9.30 due to hotel rules 😞

The staff couldn't care less, the wait for food and drinks was long, the roast potatoes were rock hard, the room was hotter than the food. My recommendation would be Sunday lunch at The Olde Swan in Chertsey.

This is a really lovely place, right on the River Thames, plenty of places to sit both inside and out. We have eaten there for the past 3 days, the food has been top notch and we feel reasonably priced. *yesterday we had to return the mac n cheese side, we felt the sauce had split. We were offered a replacement or reimbursement with apologies. Great choice of menu too.

We visited The Bridge on Sunday evening while staying at the nearby campsite. The young chap behind the bar was really pleasant and chatty and the terrace outside was perfect for a summer evening, sitting right next to a small offshoot of the Thames with baby ducks, coots and grebes for entertainment. However we made a major mistake ordering the Sunday Roast. When it arrived the waitress told us the plates were very hot. Unfortunately the food didn't match the plates and had clearly been sitting around for an awfully long time. The vegetables were almost cold and barely edible. We waited for the obligatory, "Is everything ok with the meal?" from the waiting staff but I reckon they knew what reply they'd get so stayed away from the table. The lady at the next table moaned about her food too. Needless to say we voted with our feet and left.

Staff is just a disaster....lack of training... We've ordered through the app....food come first( food was decent) ...the drinks just after 10 minutes..(very far from what you see on the app ) Spiderweb everywhere on the terrace... It's such a shame that such a nice location by the bridge & river can't be run properly by the management

Well after a very disappointing experience in a neighbouring pub across the river we came back to the bridge to try and rescue our Sunday lunch, the lady that served us (Jess) nothing was too much trouble, she went out of her way to make sure everything was spot on.The food was lovely the service was superb. I can not recommend the Bridge more highly

I liked the pub. I wouldn't go there for food as it was really expensive for what it was, which was pretty standard, truth be told. Our food came out to the table at really odd times so my daughter and partner were left waiting 10 minutes after my food came out before theirs did, with no comment or apology given. Other than that, it was ok. Parking for cars was fine. Looked nice. Range of beers.

The food was OK, the place wasn't overly busy but it did take ages for our food to come out although it looked like there was plenty of staff around. The restaurant does have a lovely setting and right on the river.

Do not order the pasta! Absolutely appalled that I asked for carbonara pasta and was served the slop in the photos and charged £8.99! I politely said I think they may have served me macaroni cheese instead as there was no ham or bacon in the sauce. The last didn’t offer to change it or even add ham to the dish- instead she pulled out another freezer pasta trays meal and showed me that it doesn’t have ham in 🙈 The manager refused to change it and said that it has ham flavour not actual meat! I asked if I could change it to lasagne to which he said no. Just awful service and food - such a shame for what appears to look like a nice upbeat pizza place.

Went to celebrate my sons birthday and the front desk staff were great and placed us in a nice quite place. But unfortunately the roast dinners were terrible the roast potatoes were rubbish, the Yorkshire puddings were re-heated and the mash was lumpy. Gravey was not pleasant at all but the Turkey was great. Drinks were great. Don't think the fish and chips my little one had was brilliant he said the batter wasn't like the picture shown on the tv screen, the fish batter wasn't crispy at all overall a disappointment with food, but service and drinks were great.

Poor, nothing more than average. Visited midweek, and impressed with both the reasonably priced set lunch menu and the accompanying service. Living locally, decided to visit on a Sunday, which was a complete contrast to our midweek experience. Portions was small, namely, the scallop starter and roast pork main. However, what was most disappointing is that both the pork and beef roast (albeit beef reasonably sized) was cold. Convinced the Yorkshire puddings are merely placed on plates by FoH staff without being reheated prior to being served. Appreciate commercial kitchens can be short of room at times, particularly on a Sunday- however, this is not an excuse for cold food, especially considering the presence of large Rational oven in the kitchen. Both bar staff were remarkably hospitable and leaps and bounds better than their esteemed colleagues in the kitchen.
