First time back after their revamp and totally changed with great coffee and great food options, will be back for more soon

Wow!So much better now under new management and redecorated. Friendly. welcoming staff. Huge range of food options, savoury and sweet. Lovely atmosphere, music and surroundings. Thank you for a great experience.

Recently refurbished. Plenty of staff to look after you. Food and coffee was lovely. Good selection of vegan food for my friend. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I walked in and asked if there were any gluten free cakes and the answer was no, so I walked out again. I've got coeliac disease, so I can't eat gluten. There are a lot of us out there. If not coeliac, then gluten intolerant. It's already miserable enough having this disease without going to a cafe to find you can't eat anything. It's 2024 for goodness sake not 1985! It's just lazy. There was of course a cake for the Vegans. There always is. Anyway, I left and went to a place that isn't living in the dark ages with at least 3 gluten free choices.

Coffee is so bitter!!! The staff are so unfriendly and the atmosphere has completely changed since it has re opened!! I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time I visited as they were probably being watched and that they were just settling in however, the second and third visits were the same. The lady in the purple hair was so incredibly rude looking customers up and down judgementally. With almost £9 for a bagel?! The prices are insane and not worth it for what you are given. Will not be returning as I am absolutely shocked by the lack of hospitality shown and the overpriced bitter coffee and food! Management is appalling and staff should be trained better on how to greet customers. However, 2 female members of staff were exceptional to us but, the female manager instantly shut down all hospitality shown by them. Awful.

The coffee was really bitter and didn’t taste good. I didn’t finish my latte. The cinnamon roll was pretty decent though.

Given dirty coffee cups by a dirty scruffy girl who needs to tie her hair back- no apology- very good cinnamon bun. The coffee was returned in the same cups and wiped- disgusting- manners please

Lovely cafe in Dorking high street. Plenty of choice for breakfast and lunch. A little pricier than other local cafes but definitely worth a visit

We had 2 coffees and a granola, fruit and yogurt breakfast. They were fine although the strawberries had obviously been defrosted as a. Couple of them were warm! After we had eaten I needed to use the restroom. The toilet was dirty both inside the bowl/pan and around the outside of it. There was a small amount of toilet paper on the roll and there were no others in sight! The cakes that were on display l did not look fresh at all. The staff were nice so I told them they needed to stock up the restroom but didn’t mention the state of the toilet. I knew we wouldn’t be going there again.

Just popped in for a quick drink with my partner to kill some time as we know the coffee is good. Coffee was good and prepared by a young friendly gentleman, however, the girls that were on shift were unprofessional and loud, like they were having a night out down the pub instead of being on shift. All sitting in the window alcove, chatting quite loudly about private things I won’t put in the review for the girls privacy. One girl walked past us filming herself on her phone. Another was eating her Kokoro in front of us with her fingers, licking her fingers and not washing her hands which is highly unhygienic if she is making coffee. As I said, the young gentleman made lovely coffee and he was friendly and professional, but the girls on shift with him. Felt bad for sitting in. Girls watching us like we’re inconveniencing them being in the shop. Such a shame. Was such a lovely coffee shop at one point

This used to be a lovely place to sit and have a quiet coffee. Unfortunately now it is impossible to relax due to the nature of the staff. They were being unbelievably loud, shouting, and swearing! to each other across the cafe. completely unprofessional. One member of staff was walking around filming herself on her phone. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and hearing. Will not be returning.

I visited here at 9.15 in the morning and there was only a couple of other people that had already been served. Firstly Waitress / barista looked us up and down - eventually got breakfast some 35 minutes after ordering it …. And it was wrong . Explained this and she did say she would change it but it seemed to be a lot of effort for her! When the correct order eventually arrived after another 15 minutes - the eggs were like rubber and inedible . I was told the eggs are cooked in a microwave- and they are short of space . - and the staff wouldn’t eat them either and they taste awful. If they are short of space they should t offer them on the menu. It appeared they were cooking most things in a microwave . The whole place appeared fairly grubby but not knowing the area and looking it up on Instagram it appeared ok ! I was begrudgingly given a refund despite being looked up and down countless time again.

Cooker wqw hood but we ice not so good I took empty coffee cups back with cake plates and offered to take the toast ( just plain toast ) but was told to go and sit down - nit impressed

On several occasions we have experienced severe hygiene issues with the food here. I was also served a dairy coffee instead of the oat one that i ordered and only made aware once i was about a quarter through drinking it- could be awful if i had a severe dairy allergy. On both occasions they have not apologised or attempted to resolve the issue, not impressed and wont be returning any time soon.

They even took a photo of my dog so I can see him on the wall whenever I go in during the working week! The staff are always very helpful.

The table was dirty so I asked to get the table cleaned. The waitress came over and. Cleaned the table but was too short and could only reach 2/3 of the table leaving the table dirty. The cutlery was also dirty which was a huge disappointment but which list the 3 rd star when the food arrived it was cold.

This is one of those places that think a cappuccino needs to be the size of a bowl of soup!! Milky coffee and frothy foam. Far cry from the 1/3-1/3-1/3 espresso/milk/foam. Disappointing

I was due to be at the Crossways Baptist Church to give a talk to the Dorking Historical Group. As there is only one train a hour from where I live it meant I was going to arrive in Dorking well ahead of time. All the coffee places in the High Street close at 6pm other than this one which closes at 8pm. I could have gone to one of the pubs in the High Street but that wouldn't have looked very good. This is a nice pleasant place with friendly staff. The Americano I had was as I like it - black and strong. I also treated myself to a piece of Carrot Cake which again was very nice. I recommend this place if you are on Dorking High Street and after a drink.

We stumbled upon Esquires having left another cafe in the town due to poor (non existent service) and couldn’t have been happier we did! A round of coffees, a couple of toasties and a full fry up later we were very happy customers! The service was fantastic, all staff more than happy to help and the food service quickly and more importantly tasted great. We will be back!

Lovely and friendly staff, delicious food, and ever so tasty coffee! Its my new favourite coffee place!
