My mum and I came here so often as the food was always amazing and the service was great. We visited today when a young girl had cooked our food. My mum wanted a soft runny egg roll, instead we got a crispy egg and they had not even offered a refund. The lady that served us was lovely. The manager didn’t even speak to us or apologise. I know people make mistakes but for not bothering to rectify the roll that was unedable. I don’t think we will be back.

My wife and I visit this unassuming little cafe fortnightly for breakfast. Wow, the food is extremely good in both quality and taste. They have worked on presentation and staff are really friendly.

I visited here on the way back from the Library yesterday (Tuesday), and found it to be quite a pleasant establishment, it is not long open, having been a charity bookshop in a previous life, there were a couple of young people there as well having coffees; I just had a white coffee and a piece of Victoria sponge, the staff are nice and bring your order over to you, a bit like in the theatre café.

Dropped in here for lunch with a friend and had soup and sandwich. Sounds dull? No! The soup was home-made and absolutely delicious. Sandwiches were freshly made on a choice of different breads with a side-salad and idvididual pots of tea. Total for the two of us was just £12. The service was extremely friendly and helpful and we were treated like honoured guests. We sat on leather sofas in a lovely warm peaceful environment and there was even free Wi-fi. Really pleased to have found this place and will definitely go back again.

We popped into Espresso Coffee House after installing another visitor information touchscreen installation in Perth Bus Station. Espresso is the nearest quality coffee establishment (just a 5 minute walk from the Bus Station). The owner Howard and the staff have created a warm, homely environemnt with free Wi-Fi. They also provide local knowledge of things to see and do in the city. They even print off maps and annotate walks to preferred points of interest. The 2 large lattes we ordered were absolutely fabulous, especially as I like mine piping hot and quite strong ! Many thanks for the fabulous coffee and hospitality Espresso.

Fantastic find. Brilliant food cooked to order with generous servings. Service is first class with really friendly and helpful staff. Great prices and even do kids meal deal so my daughters ice cream was cheaper. My teenage son loved the smoothies as well. This is our new favourite place to visit when in Perth. (Toilets are clean and modern) Highly recommend.*****

I went to a favourite place for the day, Perth with a friend. We love Perth and decided to go near the end of June this year. However it must have been the rainiest day of the year, absolutely pouring!! This did not put us off as we went into shops with friendly staff everywhere. We went into Expresso cafe and ice cream parlour. The first thing we were aware of was the warmth as we were soaked and cold. Received a warm welcome from the owner, who gave us a lovely smile! We sat on very comfortable seats and had a coffee and toast with jam and butter. Delicious! Really good quality coffee and best of all it was hot! seemed a good choice of breakfast, lunch, snacks. The owner said the home made soup was different every day. The day we were there it was carrot and coriander. We will keep this place in mind when we next visit Perth. Very friendly. Quite a big spacious cafe and children's seats as well also you can't miss it right on a corner. The owner said they are busy summer and winter and am not surprised.

Perth station is the biggest dive in Scotland - so if you have to wait its best to get out and get a coffee somewhere else. I really liked espresso coffee house - the staff were friendly, the coffee fine and the scones excellent. I'm not sure I would come here for a meal - but for a snack and pitstop its good.

First time we've been here decided to stop for a coffee. After we had seen the selection of home bakes decided to have these also. The waitress couldn't have been more helpful. First class service and the cakes were to die for. Very reasonable priced.

I’ve been a customer at this café for many years and have usually found the staff friendly and welcoming, one of the main reasons I’ve returned. However, my recent visit was dismal. I have never been treated so badly in any cafe. I went in at 5:55 PM after a difficult day, hoping for a peaceful and relaxing haven. Instead, I was ignored for the first several minutes, and when finally acknowledged, I was pushed to ask for a takeaway rather than a sit-in option. I don't remember the younger junior staff member whereas the other staff member I'd seen on some occasions. But as a pair, and especially the senior member, they worked diligently to be the epitome of unfriendliness. I ended up accidentally ordering caffeinated coffee instead of decaf because I felt so uncomfortable. At 6:10 PM—just 15 minutes after I walked in and 20 minutes before closing—the staff had already made it very clear they wanted everyone out. When I have gone in just before 6:00 p.m before this was not the case. This pair took my cup away, the senior gave me a dirty look, they turned off the music, shut up the fridge, and began banging, clattering & the senior swept right around my feet. She also opened the door, ostensibly to sweep outside, but it brought a freezing gale of sub zero air right where I was sitting. By 6:20, I was the last customer because the others had already been hounded out and I couldn't stand it anymore which was the obvious plan. It could not have been clearer they wanted to leave themselves at, or ideally before the stated time of 6.30 rather than close the shop then. I cannot imagine treating anyone this way, never mind a customer. I understand the desire to clean up before closing, but the way this done was rude, selfish & unprofessional. If you want people out at six o'clock you should change the opening hours and tell people at quarter to 6 that you will be closing in 15 minutes. I was left feeling that I had done something wrong when actually I was a customer who walked in 35 minutes before closing. I hope this experience was an anomaly, as it doesn’t reflect the service I’ve come to expect from this café over the years.

Stayed overnight hotel at Moulin Hotel was happy with Hotels location and Hotel itself was lovely very quirky. Rooms nice clean and comfortable. Had meal in bar area as we had dogs with us which was nice had a great atmosphere and staff were really nice. Restaurant itself was good we had a lovely breakfast there without the dogs. The Hotel is situated a mile from Pitlochry so a good location very quite. Good area for walking. Definitely would return.
