Espresso in Edinburgh, City of

Quería apoyar a la Galería Nacional con una rápida parada de café. Desafortunadamente el café fue el peor que he probado en mucho tiempo - era insípido. Incluso me preguntaba si la cafetera no funcionaba. Las mesas no se despejaron lo suficientemente rápido. Pasteles muy caros. Lo siento, no volveré.

Coffee was shocking. Lukewarm latte and flat white. Flat white cup half empty. Staff unpleasant and tables dirty. It was not overly busy so no excuse. Will not be back.

We stopped here today before looking round the National Art Gallery. This is a lovely cafe as you first come into the gallery. I had a cheese scone & a latte, scone was lovely but the coffee was a let down not very hot and nothing special taste wise. It was pricey but then we were in Edinburgh and it's not cheap.

Entró en la Galería Nacional para reunirse con un primo de Newcastle. Personal encantador, excelente café y muchos pasteles deliciosos. Definitivamente apareceré allí nuevamente en mis tríos mensuales habituales a Edimburgo.

I was served by Ellen and Diana and let me tell you it was an out of body experience. Ellen must have a magic touch because that coffee... Heaven. Amazing customer experience and a great brew, what more could you wish for?

Very tasty food with a lovely selection of cakes. Dairy free, gluten free and vegan options available. Great service and very attentive with kids.

Great little cafe within National Gallery on The Mound. Always a friendly welcome. Still keeping up standards with the best coffee in Edinburgh. Excellent way to start a day, especially if you add one of their amazing cakes.

Lovely coffee and hot chocolate but my goodness the service is shocking. Angry red haired lady shouting at customers and refusing to allow them to move when a suitable table becomes available allowing the whole party to sit. I understand busy environments and how stressful they can be but if you don’t like customers the. Why oh why would you put yourself in such a difficult situation.

Friendly staff, good coffee and scones, plus a nice place to relax after visiting the gallery. Have been every time we go to Edinburgh.

One of my friends was visiting me and we decided to pop into this cafe as we have never been here before. I can say we found it adorable with amazing coffee. Diana, who made our coffees, greeted us with a smile and made it very enjoyable and welcoming for us. Would definitely come back!

During my visit at the National Gallery I came over to Espresso Cafe and I ordered coffee and scone. Diana and Davide were really nice and outgoing. Scones were fresh and delicious as well as coffee. I'd definitely come back soon.

A chance to take a rest and refresh with coffee and cake. Friendly staff, very quick service and delicious cake, very good coffee. Good value for money.

Had coffee here when visiting the Gallery. The coffee was fine and loved the choice of background music.

Stopped off here for a re charge of batteries after looking around the National Gallery of Scotland. Pleasant little place. Some absolutely gorgeous cakes for sale and your order comes on a nice little tray with a reproduction of one of the paintings on it which I though a nice touch. I had tea, a lovely brew in a big mug and also had an Empire biscuit which was delicious. My chill out only slightly spoiled by the usual drone of 'listen to me' voices from a party of tourists from over the pond. Service was excellent, the girl on duty was rushed off her feet but remained very friendly and efficient.

This great little coffee shop within the Scottish National Galleries is the perfect start to the day. Friendly staff and amazing coffee. Carrot cake is outstanding. Perfect for a quick coffee but also has range of tasty sandwiches. Definitely will be back. Well done.
