Queues for ages. 2 speeds, slow and stop. Spend my life queuing in this place for drinks. Loads of staff stood about playing with their hair so not very hygienic. The place needs re modelling with a separate counter for ice creams to speed up the service. The food is limited, pre prepared and cheese with everything it seems.

I came here with my grandson, we shared doorstep toast which was delicious and the staff were very friendly, helpful and it has a good atmosphere too highly recommend 👍

We visit every Sunday and in the week sometimes. The food and drinks are great and the staff are really friendly. We are delighted that you now allow dogs into part of the cafe too.

If you like to watch a dog chewing on it's crotch whilst you try and enjoy your spiced latte, this is the place for you. The hygiene is questionable. The floors, tables, toilet are filthy. The ice cream cones were stale. Loads of staff stood round doing naff all! I've been going to Esposito's for the last 8 years, never again!

We have been using this cafe for a few years but since they have officially allowed in dogs we are looking to go elsewhere. I have also seen staff members come out to feed dogs with treats stroke them then go back into the kitchen without hand washing. There doesn’t seem to be any escape from dogs these days worrying if you are allergic

Its my first time visiting & I think it’s a disgrace they don’t have anything on there menu with brown bread, I have a medical complaint, meaning I can’t eat white bread, I won’t be going again that’s for sure .

Coffee is good although expensive but the staff are useless !!! They stand & look at you whilst completing other orders never acknowledging you & run around like a load of headless chickens pretending to be busy with absolutely no leadership visible.

Lovely visit on a very cold snowy day , enjoyed the coffee , ambience and great staff who were only too willing to help me .

I love this place, but the amount of dog sitting in there with their owners is very off putting and unhygienic. It quite clearly says no dogs outside. I want to enjoy my pumpkin latte whilst not watching someone else's dog licking and chewing on their own crotch. Leave it outside, it's animal!!!!

After participating in the weekly Widnes Parkrun I thought I would reward myself with a Cappuccino which sadly tasted a bit too watery for my liking, I will come back and try a cup of tea instead. Staff seem nice and it’s got a lovely view of the bandstand so will return for the birthday parkrun in January.

Used always come in with my sister,havent fir a few months but tried their new pumkin latte ,loved it.service was fast and friendly

Waited in a queue for half an hour for 2 drinks. Couldn't believe how poorly organised it was with 5 members of staff behind the counter and dirty tables everywhere.

One of the worst cafes I have ever been to. Table wasn’t cleared from previous customers. Their dirty plates and cups were still there when we left! Had to wait in line for 40 mins only for the order to be wrong. Felt sorry for a few other customers who had drink orders forgotten about. Do yourself a favour and avoid and enjoy the park instead

Esposito's coffee is always on point and is the perfect reward after a long walk around the park. You can't beat freshly ground Italian coffee. They have a variety of plant milks to choose from, which is why I continue to go back :)

Great cafe Great choices of coffee and food on offer. Nicest coffee I have had in a long time. Try the flat white with coconut milk. Deal breaker!

Queues are necessary I understand that but the small parlour in Victoria park has people completely blocking the footpath and would contravene Covid rules. It also smells of bad drains there right outside of the window of the parlour. Victoria park in general was appalling today with all kind of activities like football training, tennis, picnics, crowds etc. This cafe is not responsible in its entirely but i do think its not helping. It was not lockdown by any stretch of the imagination!!!

Esposito’s is great! Lovely service and a menu to please all. From the height of summer to the middle of winter,a cold ice cream or a hot coffee at a good price is always there for you during picnics in summer or autumn and winter walks.

In a lovely location in Victoria Park. The inside seating area is closed at the moment but you can order to take away and there are plenty of seats around the park to sit on especially when the weather in nice. They are really busy when the weather in nice but worth the wait as the service is efficient, the staff are friendly and their prices are reasonable. Worth a visit if you're in the park or in the area.

The cafe is in a great location in Victoria Park. It doesn't matter what time of year you visit the view is good.Coffee is great and the food is good to.The staff are always very friendly.I often use the cafe for one to one meetings or just for a quiet place to do work. I would recommend it if you are in the area.

Started going Espositos early last year when the weather was nice and would go for a walk in the park. I can’t speak for the food or ice cream from here but the coffee is incredible. I’ve tried pretty much every coffee on the menu over the last 18 months and never been disappointed once. However the biggest treat came last weekend when me and my better half called in. I ordered a coconut latte with sugar free vanilla and I cannot express how nice it was. I’d go as far to say possibly the best latte I have ever had. Staff are always lovely and polite and they offer a loyalty scheme (if you remember to take your card each time.) Cannot fault this lovely little place and would easily suggest is serves the best coffee in Widnes.

Came here for lunch after cycling. The group had a mixture of sandwiches. I had doorstop toast, which really is a doorstop!. Oh and a large tea which came in a huge mug ( A proper mug of tea ). All the food looked lovely and fresh. Would most definitely make a return visit.

Went here yesterday whilst in Victoria park. They do nice coffee and ice creams. The cakes looked nice but we resisted !

Great location with no competition close by.It’s very expensive so if you have more than one or two children it’s going to be an expensive visit.Some regulation is needed

Nice little ice cream shop HOWEVER very expensive. Took my 2 year old and 3 year old grandchildren to the park on a hot day, went to ice cream shop to get them an ice cream and an ice lolly. Cost £4.05 for a lemonade ice lolly and one scoop of vanilla ice cream in a tub. If you want a cone it’s 50p extra. Extortion prices especially in a family oriented park.

We called in just as the guys where cleaning up but they kindly let us use the wc facilities very much appreciated. Polite young gentlemans.

Attended between 17.10 and 17.20, already checked online before visiting to make sure it was open and it states 6pm on website so thought we could make it in time for a quick coffee and an ice cream but no chance it was closed! Shutters were half down, we were sort of glad tho because as we walked past there was an awful smell like drains

Visited here with my young family. The premises were lovely and clean and I could see a lot of work was going into the running of the cafe. However, I was served by a young lady who lacked basic customer service skills. She was quite impatient and ignorant to the fact that I had two young children with me who were struggling to choose and seemed keen to get rid of me and move onto the next customer. It was a Sunday and the cafe was very busy but nonetheless, I felt rushed as I parted with near £25.00 for a couple of coffees, cakes and two sandwiches. The food and drink was very nice but overpriced. I will return at some point but it will only be for a treat as I couldn't afford to dine here often.

Lovely friendly cafe serving fabulous coffee cakes and snacks. It really is a little gem and an ideal addition to the park. I can certainly recommend the focaccias and cakes all freshly made that day

Lovely atmosphere great staff food and drinks always good. Clean and comfy surroundings. Good parking, outside seating for smokets, dog walkers and when the weather is good .

We bring young people here to do job search as the wifi is good and the staff don't hurry you out. We like the drinks - great range and manage to provide unsweetened soya milk - always a bonus.

I went to Esposito's for a coffee meeting, as we was waiting for the Wheels For All session to start. I was really pleased with the café as the coffee was lovely, reasonable prices, nice surroundings and happy staff.

Kids love coming here for ice-cream. Lots of flavours to choose from and good coffee for the adults.

My boys love it, everytime we go the park they always have an icecream, i wondered what all the fuss was about so i ordered myself one, strawberry and cream, OMG im hooked.The nicest icecream ive tasted in a long time,

What a find! I had no idea that there would be such an excellent gelateria in Widnes! Victoria Park is made even better when walking round with one of Esposito's ice-creams.

Outstanding service as always! The staff are really helpful with food intolerances, checking all ingredients and they continue to make a gluten free and dairy free sandwhich every time I visit.

Visited on a cold wet Saturday morning having just completed the parkrun in Victoria Park outside. Very warm and welcoming, toilets clean. Had an americano and a tea with "doorstep" toast and marmalade (and it was). Very friendly and efficient. I was tempted by the lovely selection of rolls available as well (good on vegetarian options),and took away a mortadella,salami, emmental cheese and tomato roll (topped with pumpkin) Excellent.

Just what Victoria Park needed, good quality food. Gone are the half hearted butties put together but only when they had fillings. In are tasty things that make Esposito's a destination in its own right.

The new Esposito's that has recently opened is a decent place to refuel on a walk around the park. I'm yet to try the cakes, but the coffee was very good. It wasn't bitter and was hot. I would recommend this cafe. I'm hoping to go back soon to try the cakes.

I have visited here several times since it's opened and it serves great food and coffee, a real asset to the park. My nephew has a serious dairy allergy and the staff are always helpful at going through what ingredients are included in certain items. However as a new mum I regularly visit the park with my young baby and dog, it's now too cold to sit outside for my baby but I can't go in because it's not dog friendly. I think Esposito's is missing out on a big market as most people in the park in winter will be dog walkers. If it had a small section that was dog friendly I am sure it would prove very popular, unfortunately today (end of November) I had to walk past and miss out on a nice lunch and coffee as it was far too cold to sit outside.

Following the Saturday parkrun we decided to have a post run coffee. It was very warm and staff were very friendly. There was a bit of a rush but staff coped and there was an excellent selection of home made cakes and sandwiches, we decided to have a couple of cakes with our coffees. pleasantly surprised and will go back after Parkrun.,

Messed up orders, running out of food, staff not knowing the menu, we think it was a bad day for them, i have heard good things about this venue but on our visit to the park it just never worked.

This review is for the new Esposito which has just opened. I really enjoyed the cakes but the coffee was horrible and had a disgusting fruity after taste maybe this is because of the coffee bean they use but me and my partner found the latte’s undrinkable , I would visit again but I would just stick with the cakes and fresh sandwiches

Great friendly place to stop off for a coffee. Staff are efficient and very friendly. I had a latte and Sausage muffin, both were fresh and piping hot.

Perfecto para caminar en el parque local. Un montón de sabores. Buen tamaño de las porciones. Hecha está abierto hasta las 6 pm, como se casa en bicicleta del trabajo y tiempo. El día de trabajo hace más fácil conseguir a través de poco. Tiene instalaciones de wc. Está limpio y muy bien ubicado. Personal agradable

Great choice of ice cream flavours and at a great price. I always feel completely ripped off by Kelly's ice cream vans at a minimum of£2.50 per cone so this was a pleasant change. Well done Esposito's. We will definitely be back

Served quite quickly even though there was a queue. One scoop is £1.60, 2 scoops is £2.40 and 3 scoops is £3.20. They have speciality cones for an extra 30p which is either choc dipper or sherbet dipped.Hot and cold drinks are also available. I had the toffee and honeycomb ice cream and my husband had the Tiramisu flavour. We had one scoop each and that was enough! The ice cream can rival the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm and it's half the price. I would definitely buy ice cream from here again next time I visit Victoria Park. There is plenty of choice of flavours, but not much choice of toppings. I think the toppings area could be improved.

I went to Victoria Park as a big group with my family and friends.It was a very hot day and this place is conveniently located next to the playground for the children.We went over to get some ice cream as many of the people in the park were visiting.It is a small shop but is cool inside,a relief from the heat and the ice cream was very well priced and had a good range of flavours.Everyone in the group who got one was satisfied and my ice cream (toffee fudge) was amazing!This is some of the best ice cream I have had for years and this place is a must go for any food lovers.I will be back again soon!

Lovely range of good quality ice cream with a range of cones. Good sized scoops too. My only gripe is that the servers should wear gloves or even a napkin to handle the cones and utensils as they are mixing this with handling money plus a server's hand did feel bit clammy when handed the change, not their fault when they're so busy but should be kept seperate from handling the food. Apart from that great!

This is such a lovely place in the park, great use of an old disused park building. We waited quite a while to be served, which was acknowledged but not great. At least we saw the server wash his hands. There were about 10 different flavours of ice cream, the toffee honeycomb was delicious, really tasty and a lovely tasty cone too. We will return. Please update your website, as it says you are open till 8pm, but in fact you close at 6pm.

First time at Victoria Park, to our delight we chanced across the ice cream parlour - happy accident :-) A great range of interesting and delicious ice cream flavours, friendly service and great house keeping, eg very clean and well presented. A small amount of bar-type seating inside, but excellently positioned with plenty of outside seating. Tea, coffee and cold drinks also served. All reasonably priced, good sized portions too.:-)

It was a cold day and we wanted to get coffee but there are only 3 seats inside despite there being space for more so we had to sit outside with a young baby (he was well wrapped up!) Coffee and hot chocolate lovely and ice cream delicious too. It will be a gold mine in summer but maybe offer topping for the ice cream?? Will go again when in the park.

Was early for catching the train so reluctantly made a first time visit to the acclaimed park parlour AND BOY WAS I GLAD!!! Was too cold for Ice Cream (but having spotted favourite flavours will be back for some of that in the spring) so went for a Cool and Creamy Caramel Frappuccino. This Frappe was not like the iced-down versions. that you may suffer the misfortune of being handed at your local high street chain baristas, it was so filling and likeable to an angel delight butterscotch! The girl who made it offered her apologies in advance after having confessed to not making one for a while but hey if it turned out to be so wrong, it was so right!

Fab little place right next to swing park. Delicious ice cream and coffee. Highly recommend the chocolate flavour (kids recommend hulk smash!)

Tucked away is a beautifully well presented ice cream coffee shop parlour, right next to the play area. Clean and bright with good seating both indoors and out and water bowls for our four legged friends.Ice creams are generous, well priced and amazing flavours - highly recommended no more ice cream van for me i am converted.

A very impressive and clean little oasis in the middle of Victoria Park, plenty of seating inside and out. Water for dogs and a full range of drinks both hot n cold and also lovely coffee. But wait this is an ice cream parlour - wow well priced great selection and beautiful ice creams and cones to die for - we will be back no more ice cream vans for me!

Lovely little place only just opened, very clean and tidy with a good range of different flavours and different types of cones as well which I'd recommend the Twickers ( remix and snickers mixed) and luxury Vanilla my two favourites and not outrageous in the price
