Would never eat out of here again I had a biryani with the prawns chicken and lamb and have not stop been sick and bad stomach had a real bad case of food poisoning would definitely not order here again be aware if you don’t want to be ill done eat here customer service was very friendly food not so 🤢🤢🤢

Literally the politest and best service in Surrey. They’re chef is magical and all of their dishes are perfect flavour and spices always fresh.

Excellent food, wonderful flavours we particularly love the chicken shaslick and madras chicken. The spinach cauliflower and aubergine dishes seem really freshly cooked and far better than many other restaurants we have tried. We have meals delivered regularly and the service is always friendly and delivered to our door with a smile. We highly recommend Esher Tandoori

We ordered chicken bhuna and lamb Madras and both of them had the same sauce, with the Madras being more spicy. Lamb was very tough and felt like mutton rather than lamb. Very disappointed with the taste and will not recommend. We were carried away by the reviews which we feel is misleading!

0 Stars if i could, i ordered a takeaway this stuff is full of grease, the meat is tougher than leaver and so so dry, i could almost taste sand in the meals like a grainy gritty crunch which is vile , I am convinced all these reviewers are fake or payed because this is by far the worst food i’ve ever eaten in my life , the place even looks unhygienic the food is horrendous DO NOT GO HERE

We ordered delivery from here based on the great reviews it had received both on google and Uber eats. We were very disappointed with the quality of the food. The sauces were all very thick and grainy with coconut chunks and extremely sweet. We ordered the lamb korma, chicken tikka and butter chicken and they all tasted very similar, just a different colour. We also ordered the vegetable samosas and they tasted as though they were from a box in the freezer aisle. Would not recommend.

I would highly recommend this restaurant I’ve been using it for awhile and I’ve got the best experiences with it very pleasant staff the owner is a lovely guy and make sure that everything is spot-on definitely the best restaurant in Esher 5 stars

Food was okay, but the service was awful. Was waiting for 50 minutes and called for an update for the order. The man then complained about it would take longer because they were in Esher however I checked the route and it was only 11 minutes. Additionally, they said that they couldn’t give us the lemonade we’d ordered and said to get a refund via Uber eats however Uber eats did not give us a refund.

Fairly mediocre, run of the mill “English-style” Indian restaurant i.e. simply meat mixed with sauce- no vegetables- no real thought goes into any of the dishes. The tell tale sign is the length of the menu- which is waaaay too many dishes for any real quality. For a marginally higher price, Bombay Social is way way higher quality food (its our usual). Was worth a shot but wont be coming back.

I discovered this place by a pure accident, I checked the 'King Prawn Butterfly'and that was spectacular. I also tested Lamb Rogan Josh - fantastic. Samosas are just right, big and tasty food + nice sauces. Nice atmosphere and excellent customer service. Prices went up a bit, but taste still the same. Very much recommended.

This was our first time with using Esher Tandoori .Our food was delivered 40 minutes after ordering. It was piping hot. The meal was tasty, fresh with ample portions. The delivery man was friendly. Will definitely order again.

Sub standard takeaway food. Lamb chops meat was off and chicken tandoori was reheated old food. Fish curry just had 70% soggy potatoes and a few flakes off fish.. Massively overpriced £70 for 3 people. We ended up throwing the majority of the food away. Restaurant were not interested in collect the food to inspect.. !!

Timing was shocking and the food was only so so at best

Meat was ok. No spice. So I say no spicey no likey! Even the Samosas were plain! I wont be ordering again unless you up your game?!

Our curry delivered last night was only Luke warm, my biryani vegetable was under cooked and the Bombay aloo was very plain, they hadn’t cooked it using onions. The popadoms were the only thing that was good. Always used Dial India previously as they were superb, sadly they seem to have gone. Guess I need to look for a different curry house.

Very slow delivery (2.15 hours when we were told 45 minutes), no phone call to let you know it's going to be late or anything like that, food expensive and not exactly exceptional: e.g. veggie options clearly made with frozen mixed veg.

We are visitors to the area after horse races. Rang and booked up, was told they didn’t serve alcohol but we could bring our own. Double checked if there was corkage or any other restrictions, told no. Turned up with a bottle of wine in hand and had a rude and aggressive attitude towards us, that no we could not bring any alcohol and whoever said on the phone was wrong - we queried being told this on our booking, and asked why were the tables set up with wine glasses?? Answer was wine glasses were there for soft drinks like cans of Coke?? Why not use straight glasses as one would expect. Misleading information and very rude on arrival.

Curry was tasting incredible - however I was a little concerned after seeing a dead body (corpse) just laying down in the bathroom... Please keep up the good work.

I have been a customer here for years and order at least every few weeks. Recently, I found that they appear on gourmet society where members receive 2 for 1 on mains mid-week, and so I became a member given that I frequent so often at Esher Tandoori. I then called up to make an order (I usually do it online but wanted to ask how to get the discount) but was then told by the restaurant that they have never heard of that and cannot accept the offer. The most unhelpful service I have ever received. I would expect from any restaurant that respects themselves and their customers to at least ask to see this discount (or check themselves), and if they see that it DOES exist then to agree to abide by that for the customer and then call up gourmet society and remove themselves from the list. They have just lost three customers because of the way they handled the situation.

Ordered via their app. Very convenient. Food was ready to collect exactly on time. Always a consistently good meal.

Lovely food, hot & fresh & when I googled you guys so pleased to see you’re a restaurant also - next date night we will surely come!:-) PS - the yoghurt & mint dip with the poppadoms has garlic in (yum) It’s these little touches that make the different!

What a sad return to our favourite curry house. 3 sober middle aged chaps politely asked for a table at 9.10pm last night and were told ‘no’. Given 5 out of the 6 tables were empty this was most bizarre. Certainly no apologies from the staff. We used to eat in here monthly for many years but so sad to see the decline recently.

Really the best curry in the area. I’ve Reccomended it on Facebook and to my friends many times. Unfortunately the delivery let’s the side down. We ended up waiting an extra 45 mins for our order. I was told it was 15 mins away then when 15 mins lapsed I gave it another 10 and was told it was 4 mins away. It finally arrived another 15 mins later by which point we were very hungry and very tired. I understand that things can happen that cause delays but communication is key. If we were told unfortunately there’s a problem with the driver and your order will be delayed we would have collected it.

Used them for the first time yesterday. Excellent experience. I had actually forgotten to add popadoms to the online order so called them direct and they offered to send them free of charge though I happily paid. Delivery driver was super punctual. Food was varied (we tried about ten starters and five mains) and excellent throughout. Everything that was ordered was there and chutneys (especially the mint sauce) came in generous amounts. Will definitely be using them again!

We had spent about 18 months trying to find a new regular curry house after our local one closed. This is the best one we've had in that time. Highly recommend.

Guys, what happened tonight? Almost two hours after ordering via the app. Phone constantly engaged. Food order then arrived 1 rice short. Mistakes and issues occur, but how about giving people a heads up when food is running excessively late?

I ordered takeaway via their website! Very easy to do including a 10% discount 👌🏻 Safe and Covid proof pick-up and the curry was delicious. The owner also gave me 2 poppadoms which I didn't pay for! Would highly recommend to order during lockdown and hopefully dine there in the future.

Absolutely fantastic service, food to die for. Had occasion to speak with the owner who could not be more helpful with a minor delivery issue which he has attended to personally. Looking forward to our mouth watering anniversary treats this evening.

Order did not arrive. When order exceeded the suggested time we contacted the restaurant who told us that the driver had left and would be with us in 5 mins. 15 mins later we called again and were told that the order had not even been started an hour and a quarter after ordering. Very disappointing.

The worst experience I've ever had, took almost 3 hours for the food to arrive. I was repeatedly told that it had left the building for delivery but was lied to as it turned out it hadn't even been prepared. I can't give less stars but I wish I could. Wasn't good enough for the 3 hour wait, avoid!

Delicious food and great service. I ordered a curry from here through UberEats and said that I had a gluten allergy. Straight away I got a phone call from the restaurant informing me that there were no allergens in that dish but that the kitchen was not a gluten free environment - although I knew this already and was happy to proceed, I appreciated the phone call to reassure me anyway. The man on the call was very friendly and informed me that the curry I had chosen was very mild. I had not realised this and when I sounded unsure he offered to upgrade my curry to something else, free of charge! He recommended a spicy mint dish named Captain Patilla, and even offered to add in some rice as I had not ordered any. The curry was delicious, a bit spicier than I would usually go for but tasted amazing with really tender chicken and the mint really gave it an extra kick of flavour. It arrived on time with a friendly delivery boy and although I declined the rice, it came with complimentary popadom and mango chutney (yay). Definitely eating here again.

Total nightmare some of the food was wrong and or missing. Tried to call the restaurant went through to voice mail even deliveroo couldn't reach them. Shame shame shame bad customer service !!!

The most authentic Indian restaurant you'll find in Esher. Lamb Dhansak and the lamb biryany was wonderful as well as the tandoori prawn starter. The service was fantastic. Bring your own wine or beer and your set for an excellent evening!

Love this place. Decent, quality food at a decent price we go back to this place time and time again. The lamb is a must. All food perfectly seasoned. We live a little way away and food was piping hot thankyou again for a wonderful meal. Would recommend to absolutely anyone

OK food but its definitely geared towards take away, the phone rings constantly and staff are always in and out resulting in a cold draft in the restaurant so take a coat. And on a busy night you'll have long waits for food as they do so many take away.

excellent food and great customer service - we have been using Esher Tandoori for the last 14 years but particularly in the last 6 months they have proven they are the best takeaway in the area. Now they have an online ordering system (inc. an app), it's easy to pre-order and have your food delivered.

After driving for 5.5 hours back from Cornwall and then dropping my girlfriend off at Battersea I really fancied a curry! I've sadly seen the Panaha fall from grace in recent years so I came here for a takeaway... What a fantastic choice I made. I ordered chicken dhansak and mushroom rice (which were both exceptional) with a garlic naan and veg curry starter. Great experience and great takeaway service and a lovely meal (especially with a bottle of Barolo)

Big group of us went to Esher Tandoor last night, it was lovely, food was fantastic, service was brilliant could not fault it, in fact we are returning with the whole of our Rugby team today.

Been ordering regularly from Esher Tandoori for four years plus, and I don’t think I’ve posted a review before. Had family over this evening, and they were keen to try the food we’d been raving about. Esher Tandoori delivered big time - all the usual favourites hot and on time, but with extra generous portions of salad, chutney and mint sauce, along with a complimentary house special vegetable side dish. Excellent as ever, thank you - six out of five stars! 😀

I am not from the area, but when I am here I have to get a curry from this restaurant. The food is top quality, nothing compares to it. Bahar is a very nice guy and will look after you. If I could give this review 6 stars, I would!
