Went in for cocktails the staff were great and cocktails fabulous for a great price, I would definitely recommend it

Terrible cocktails, they sound good on the menu but made from premix. Food took ages and was mediocre at best.

The best cocktail bar I’ve been to in a while. Service excellent, cocktails excellent, venue excellent! Would highly recommend to go and sit at the bar and speak to Raj to rustle up cocktails specific to your liking. Overall fantastic!

We stopped here for dinner before a gig around the corner. The food ranged from neutral to downright awful. We had the empanadas, the corn fritters, the beef pinxtos, the chicken tostadas, the patatas bravas, and the tortilla chips. The patatas bravas were by far the best item we got. The sauce was decent. The empanadas were advertised as being different kinds (spinach and chickpea, vegetable, etc.), but they only contained corn. So that was very disappointing. The corn fritters lacked flavor and were quite dry. They also contain a lot of mushrooms which were not advertised. The chicken tostadas contained very wet and flavourless shredded chicken, except for a chimichurri which tasted like boiled cabbage and mint. The similarity to cat foot was too much for us. The beef pinxtos were not what you'd expect. There were potatoes and shredded beef that were really pressed together to make a kind of savory cupcake, topped with the same chimichurri. It was all very mushy. Finally, the tortilla chips were truly inedible. They were thick, unsalted, and undercooked corn chips served without any dips. Huge disappointment and very poor South American-inspired food, even for England.

Booked the Bottomless Brunch recently, both the food and cocktails were great. Purchased an extra dish with the tapas (BBQ chicken wings which were amazing). If your a gin lover the Bramble is also a must! Raj and the staff were all very friendly providing great service. Even popped back in the evening for a drink where they remembered us from the day. Great music, nice people, lively atmosphere - here is somewhere to add to your list of places to visit.. we will be back! :D

Booked the bottomless brunch and was not disappointed! Great venue, lovely staff and a good selection of tapas - the chicken wings were so tasty! We came back later in the evening and the atmosphere was vibrant with good music and great service! Would book again :)

Honestly the best place to go to in Nottingham. I’m from Derby and will happily travel to Notts just to see Yuvii and the team. Drinks and food are absolutely spot on. The atmosphere is pure vibes. 10/10 recommend.

All-round 5 stars. The music is different every time I go in, and the place is always kept clean. The food is served hot and fast as well as there being a great range of cocktails (my recommendations being 'Wray of Life' and 'Man Goes Bananas'). And the 2 for £12 deals are amazing! The lamb chops and crispy squid are also a good choice. The vibes are immaculate. Definitely recommend visiting!

I couldn't recommend this bar enough! The food is epic! The drinks are awesome! And the service is even better! Me and my partner have been here 3 times already and 100% will keep coming back. If you don't already know about Escobars pop in and give it a go, you won't be disappointed!!

How I've passed this place in the 2 years its been open I don't know??? First time visiting tonight and I can honestly say that they made me and my friend feel like family and regulars... cocktails were perfect and the staff were so attentive. The place was clean and really warm and welcoming. Good selection of drinks and food. Will deffinatly be coming back next weekend before a show. Thanks guys

This is a lovely bar. Drinks and atmosphere were to die to for! Unfortunately the food (though tasteful) was NOT coeliac safe, after being advertised as gluten free!! After having a lovely meal, the evening was some what ruined due to this important, ignored detail! I believe this needs to be sorted very quickly as it can result in more dreadful consequences!!

I got mad cow disease from the food here then later found out they have a 1 star hygiene rating despite having a 5 star sticker in their window

Yeah the owners can’t handle a little bit of criticism without crying like babies. Food and service well below escoPar. It’s well known in Nottingham hospitality industry to avoid this place!

Decided to try this bar out after hearing good things.. . Pablo Escobar died in the 90's and the 'tapas' they served probably died with him. Garlic chill prawns- burnt garlic so badly still had a bitter taste in my mouth hours later. The 30 minute wait between receiving 1 dish and the other 4 didn't help either. Sweetcorn fritters were fried in oil older than the building itself. Speaking to staff about our poor food was a complete waste of time, even Speaking to manager made no difference as he was blasé about our concerns. All in all £50 wasted on probably the worst food in Nottingham

Service was ok, ordered a strawberry cocktail and had people order after me get served before me which seems a bit odd don't think I'd go back, quite a dark setting and the music outside was better then inside. Based apon the uncomftable sarcastic comment going from the owner I shall rate this now correctly.

We have been coming here for years, partly because of the cocktails and decent food, but primarily because of the fantastic Hispanic atmosphere created by the staff and the music. However despite the INSANE price increases (which we wouldn’t mind otherwise) all the Hispanic music and vibe which would usually go with the name Escobar; has now been swapped with very heavy and very loud rap which I imagine is the reason it has been empty the last three times we have been. Disappointing. Honestly it has so much going for it if it could just either readvertise or go back to the original spirit of the bar. Shall not be returning sadly, the end of an era for us.

Replaced the Indian restaurant. This is a nicely decorated cocktail bar and tapas restaurant, run by a great bunch of people.

Can’t comment on food as we only had drinks but wow the place is decorated so lovely me and friend nipped in while out for her birthday and to be honest wish we had stayed longer we were greeted at the door by the owner and a server sat down straightway and told about the offers I ask for a fruity but strong drink and the owner had a whole new cocktail made for me based on what I liked and it was the most amazing cocktail! Even put our drinks on a plastic cup for us as we had to run for the bus back to derby. Definitely be returning.

We was in Nottingham for a business meeting so we thought we’ll treat our self for some food and cocktails after a long day of work, It wasn’t that busy but didn’t expect it to be busy due to a being a weekday as everywhere else was dead. We was greeted by a young lady who sat us down and had informed us of the cocktail offer, 5 mins into our evening, we ordered our cocktails I had ordered the blue steel which were gin base and must I say they were amazing. My partner didn’t like gin so he went for a whiskey based cocktail and they were also delicious. We then ordered our taps plates, we had ordered the crispy squid, salute chorizo and the jalapeño hotshots and Beef pintox and many Moore dishes. They were all very delicious and tasted fresh. The staff were very friendly and attentive and made sure they were their if you needed anything.

This place has been flooded with fake reviews from the owner and there family. All the recent reviews are completely fake. The drinks are watered down the food is subpar and the management are quite frankly weirdos. You are much better going next door if you are looking for a real tapas bar.

Visited Escobar last year with my daughter and we really enjoyed it so we decided to go back. The minute we walked in, we was greeted by the waiter. We was showed to our table and was informed of the offers that was running. The drinks order was taken very quick and didn’t take long to be served. The cocktails were very delicious and looked amazing. The food was out of this world, I could not fault it one bit. The food didn’t take to long to come which was a good thing as we very hungry. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Nottingham. Will definitely be back again

I had a particularity bad experience here when I received my food I noted to the manager that I believed for it to be rather cold and when I informed the manager he threatened me and demanded that we leaved. The cocktails where also very questionable with peculiar blends of ingredients.

Wow, the service was diabolical. Looking at the responses on google clearly you have no customer service skills whatsoever. Please confirm my post by posting a reply with no apologies or acceptance of your service. This establishment is clearly run by people with a limited business mind. I would hope your learn from your mistakes but based on they responses I'm seeing it's just a wish upon a star. Maybe I'll come back once you have changed your name and staff but I'm expecting you'll last one more summer at best. (Thanks for the reply point proven)

Would not recommend , the food was appalling and the service was disgraceful . They do not deal with negative reviews. I would save your money and recommend the bar next door .

Well, what can I say about this ‘restaurant’ if you want to call it that. First off, we ordered drinks upon arrival everything was going smoothly, we were then asked to order our food, to which we ordered, the guy who was taking orders had messy hair but did not catch his name, he took our order for our food, we ordered 2 platters to share between 5 people, at 25 pounds each, I left the restaurant starving as there simply wasn’t enough food. Our food took over an hour to arrive, this is because the person who took our order didn’t actually put it through the till, we spoke to a waitress who said our food would be 2 minutes and was on order, we waited a further 10 minutes and was then informed by the original waiter there was nothing on order so we had to order it again because he thought we didn’t order anything (bizzare) and got told we never ordered it with him, basically calling all five of us liars. Now this is where it gets interesting, after the poor food and poor service we then wanted to provide a staff member some feedback on our experience (we believed he was either the owners son or some form of management) he then went into complete denial and had an arguement with my friend in the middle of the restaurant, he then walked off and slammed the window at the back of the restaurant and shouted “don’t start on me I’ll knock him out”, the owner then came out and said the best he could do was offer us another round of drinks for free, to which we declined because we couldn’t wait to leave. I will never return, I’ve never had an experience like it and left the restaurant in shock.

Really weird atmosphere. The venue was cold, and there was no hot water. We were there for about an hour and the same songs were played on repeat. One guy stood behind the bar, another greeting and take orders, and one girl doing all the work (making drinks).

The best mocktail I've ever had was served at Escobar. It was fruity! I'd definitely recommend.

First time visiting Escobars in Nottingham , very relaxed atmosphere and was promptly greeted by Raj who made sure we were comfortable and took our orders throughout, the cocktails and tapas were top class and the staff were friendly and professional . Brilliant place we will definitely be visiting again !

We ordered 2 Cosmopolitan cocktails and 2 orange coloured drinks arrived which did not taste anything like the cosmo's we have drunk for the last 40 years. We took them back to the bar and told them. They tasted them and agreed and remade them. The next 2 had the correct pink colour but tasted like alcohol free fruit cocktails, nothing like a cosomo. We took them back and asked for our money back and they said they would not return the money and physically forced us to leave. When I asked how they made them they did not even know that a cosmo has lime juice in it and laughed when I told them it did. Maybe they should try Googling what's in a Cosmo. I would suggest going to one of the other cocktail bars in Nottingham where you can seem them using fresh ingredients.

My boyfriend and I ate here last night. The food was ok but wouldn't go back. It was also very loud and had bright disco lights when eating which was odd. We could get past all that except both of us were sick overnight and feel ill this morning (and we didn't have cocktails;))
