was a bit bafffled by the £30 extra lobbed on for the belly dancing ( which we could have done without) and should have been waened that it was extras - would have booked for a beey dancing less day

Very friendly and relaxed service, great food and lots of choice. The same for the drinks menu too. On a Saturday night they have a great musician, and some traditional dancing, which was different. A pleasant evening.

We really enjoyed ourselves the staff are efficient, warm and friendly. Initially when you walk in you feel as if you have been transported to a basement in SoHo with the eclectic deco of Spanish and Mediterranean multicoloured paintings on the wall to the entertainment a vocalist/guitarist with renditions of your favourite songs from well know artists including 'New York New York' and 'Pretty Woman', along with a belly dancer, the guests seemed very relaxed especially the ladies.... some even got up to dance. This is a relatively new restaurant opened within the past year or two. The food not too spicy but good sized portions, the aubergine starter and carrot salsa were delicious and a wide array of dishes for a Turkish restaurant definately a good choice in the heart of suburbia that's Orpington High Street.

We regularly eat in or have takeaway from here and are never disappointed. Great Turkish food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Good value for money

This is a fantastic restaurant. The food is top notch and the service is brilliant. The lamb shish is the best ive ever had in a turkish restaurant. Cant wait to come back!

Very nice food, good price, and the customer service is good. I keep going back to this restaurant. There are a lot of Mediterranean restaurants in Orpington but I feel this is the best and the most valuable one with good quality of food.

Called up 3 times to make sure we were sitting out the back!!!! And when we got there we were told that they had no space for us...

This is one of our takeaway favourites and we decided to try the place out now it is open for outdoor dining. We were not disappointed; we got the meat lovers meal which we always get and it was very tasty and well presented. Would definitely recommend.

The food is consistently delicious, The staff are friendly and warm and remember me and my preferences. And I also especially love the music nights and so does my 9 year old son who says this is his new favourite place to eat out.In this lockdown there is few if any places to enjoy live music at a decent volume for a great meal, drinks and music.

Food and service average. Had to ask twice for my hot drink ordered before meal. Personally, I found restaurant dark without lighting, as it was a cloudy rainy summer day. I wasn't that keen on the place for a first visit.

Tuve el pollo en brandy, crema, salsa de champiñones. De acuerdo, el pollo era filetes de debajo del pollo, así que fuera de sus pinchos de pollo. La salsa sin brandy y 1 rebanada no bromeo de champiñones.Uno de mis hijos comió la cazuela de cordero, que tenía tan mal aspecto como el mío, excepto por pensar que el gato era responsable de cómo se veía esta vez. Una vez más fue cordero finamente picado en cortes completamente incomible.Los demás en la mesa comieron pequeñas cantidades de su comida, pero todo fue realmente muy pobre. Sin distanciamiento social, sillas espalda con espalda. La mesa de servicio de camarera junto a nosotros tenía su bollo prácticamente en nuestra mesa. La puerta se mantuvo cerrada para que no entrara aire fresco. El personal llevaba máscaras, pero el 90% del tiempo las tenía debajo de la nariz. Me sentí tan incómodoEsperó 20 minutos y luego tuve que pedir un menú.Tengo alergia a los lácteos y solo pude comer el salmón. El salmón salió con una salsa en la ensalada y una salsa en una olla, le pregunté a la camarera si no contenía lácteos, lo siguiente que supe fue que otro camarero estaba quitando la salsa de la olla y luego vino y tomó mi plato, regresando con una ensalada desnuda, el mismo salmón y patatas. ¡Muy desagradable! ! ¡No se puede simplemente limpiar el alérgeno y esperar que un cliente coma del mismo lugar! Trozos de arroz seco en mis patatas. ¿De donde?El plato principal se sirvió antes de que se llevaran los platos de entrada, hubo que llamar a alguien para pedir bebidas.La comida habría sido casi 100 para una familia de 4. Solo refrescos. Solo fuimos allí para comer fuera. . pero nunca volvería.

Bajamos como parte del plan de salir a comer para ayudar. El lugar parecía demasiado concurrido y definitivamente no había distanciamiento social en el lugar. No tuvimos que esperar demasiado para la comida y la comida era muy buena y teníamos buenos tamaños de las porciones: muy buena relación calidad-precio, incluso sin el descuento del gobierno. Sin embargo, el personal se apresuró y fue caótico, por lo que el servicio fue extremadamente lento y doloroso. Nos dimos por vencidos con el postre porque esperamos tanto tiempo, así que recibimos la cuenta en su lugar, pero incluso entonces tuvimos que pedir más de una vez. En cada punto que necesitábamos algo, teníamos que llamar al personal y esperar en lugar de que vinieran a nosotros para ofrecernos bebidas, menús, pedidos de postres, etc. Además, sus viejos menús en papel y los menús principales en los libros se estaban reutilizando y obviamente no limpiaban o tiraban, y las mesas y sillas no se limpiaban a fondo entre sesiones. Había una botella gratuita de desinfectante de manos en cada mesa. El personal no fue grosero y la comida fue buena, pero no fue una gran experiencia y no pareció muy amigable.

We had a table booked in advance but we're asked to wait outside for an hour. What is the point of booking!?! Won't return!

Tenemos que aislarnos por nosotros mismos en este momento, ¡pero Éfeso está abierto para entregas! Nuestra comida fue fantástica, ¡y mucha! La ensalada era fresca y crujiente, ¡el cordero koftes estaba delicioso! Las alitas de pollo de mi esposo estaban deliciosas con mucha carne.Nuestro conductor de entrega fue muy amable, puso la comida en la puerta y retrocedió un par de metros mientras la recogíamos. Visited on a Friday and despite Coronavirus the place was quite busy.The service was excellent and so was the food. Couldn't fault anything until the live music started. We were seated by the window as far from the live musician as is possible but the volume was so loud we could not converse without raising our voices and leaning in to hear what was being said. We are not old or hard of hearing. Others were having to do the same which simply added to the noise. Sadly we won't visit again on a live music night unless we hear from friends that a wise decision has been made to moderate the volume.It's a great shame because otherwise this a very good establishment.

Rude personal, when booked a table, they do not care what table just give you a last table as he sees..Why bothering to make an reservation then!!..We left , never go there again..

We had a lovely time at the special Valentine's dinner at Ephesus. The food was absolutely delicious, and we loved the decoration of roses and balloons. It really did feel like a celebration. The service as usual was great and my fish was cooked to perfection (always a great sign of a skilled chef in my opinion!). Would definitely spend Valentine's day there again in the future.

First time at this restaurant for a mid-week birthday meal. Quite busy, especially for a Tuesday night, but maybe this is the norm. Took a little while to get served, but we were socialising so that was fine. Shared 3 different courses for starters which were lovely. Main courses were delicious, and very generous portions. Altogether, a very good experience, would go again and recommend to others with no reservations!

50th birthday celebrations on Saturday night did not disappoint. Food was fantastic, recommend the lamb beyti traditional dish, staff were great and attentive, live music and belly dancer. Been here a few times now and throughly recommend it. See you soon..👍

We made a booking online and received confirmation that this was done then one and a half hours before we were due to eat we received a message saying that our booking had been cancelled....no reason whatsoever!!!!...a complete lack of professionalism and customer service..we contacted the online booking company who are taking this forward..wouldn’t eat in this place ever again due to there incompetence

Ten of us dined at Ephesus on Saturday to celebrate 3 birthdays in our group. We had a super time, great food, good service and entertainment. It was a jolly evening and reasonable price.

Eight of us went for my birthday treat this evening on possibly the worth weather conditions for many years. The food was fantastic and the staff were so attentive. We will definitely come back again and agaian an.....

What a lovely restaurant serving delicious Turkish Mediterranean food. From stepping through the door until we left the whole experience was fantastic. The decor was trendy, clean and not cramped. We were met by lovely attentive staff, given Olives & beautiful bread whilst given time to make our choices.They offer a full menu & a lunch time deal of 2 courses for £8.95 of which I chose Bruchetta for starters and Lamb Kofte Kebabs as my main, My sister chose a vegan choice falafel.

Food is amazing staff are very attentive and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need, very generous with their bread

Logré reservar una mesa de último minuto para 4 para una celebración de cumpleaños en la calle 21. El saludo fue cálido y había un ambiente encantador con música en vivo. Todos tuvimos diferentes entrantes y platos principales. Fueron bien recibidos. Disfruté el mío inmensamente. El servicio fue bueno y sin prisas.

La comida aquí fue genial. Habíamos comenzado a mezclar meze, lo cual fue muy bueno. La carne que tuvimos después estaba muy bien preparada y muy sabrosa. Todo el personal fue amable y atento. Aunque no estaba muy ocupado, todavía había música en vivo: un guitarrista solista, lo cual era justo. Volvería de nuevo.

My second visit, have to say it’s my favourite restaurant. Food has always been great quality and very tasty. The atmosphere and entertainment at the weekends is also very good.

Had our works Xmas party here, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was good tasted lovely. The belly dancer and dj were entertaining over all a great night had by all, would definitely go again

Went there in a large party, and not disappointed. Food very good, with a wide choice, which could be accomodated according to tatste. Decent size portions. Excellent disabled access to tables and toilet. General toilets upstairs, but we were allowed to use disabled (Thank you for that) Staff friendly. Went on a week night and that was good, not too packed.

Another enjoyable evening. A large hen party and the staff were amazing, the food was delicious and the alcohol flowing! Great entertainment and great atmosphere. Well done all!

Había algunos buenos platos para compartir disponibles por un precio muy razonable y la comida era simple pero muy agradable. El personal es animado, atento y rápido. Realmente hicieron que nuestra ocasión especial fuera genial. También hubo un artista solista que brindó excelente música de fondo y luego más animado. Música cuando llegó la bailarina del vientre. Muy divertido y a un precio muy razonable.

I've been a few times but the food this time was poor. The kofta was strange and the desert very poor. Best part was the front of house staff

This was booked as a group booking, the waiters were charming, quick and efficient, choice of 2 or 3 courses, all at a very reasonable price that certainly wouldn’t break the bank. This was a lunch time venue.

Many thanks to all the staff for making our night so relaxing. The food, wine and service were all excellent. The set menu is good value. We will be back soon, thanks again.

We were visiting Orpington and took friends here for lunch. The selection and quality and value of the £11.45 three course set menu was superb. The service was equally superb. What a pity I live 1000 miles away!

This is a lovely place to spend your time with friends and family, either lunchtime or evening. A Relaxed atmosphere, wonderful friendly staff and great food. Weekend evening entertainment is enjoyable with a good choice of songs sung by the guitarist.

Went in a group of friends. The food was delicious and the atmosphere very friendly and fun. The singer (I think his name was Ken) was amazing. He played the guitar and his range of different music was incredible. Also he was singing from before we arrived at 8 ish to about 11 with his only break while the belly dancer was performing. After 11 he then acted as DJ with perfect selection of music. The Belly Dancer was great entertainment too. A lovely evening.

Went with relatives visiting Orpington. Warm welcome, I had booked and the restaurant was very popular. Good choice of vegetarian and meat/fish dishes. Drinks included Turkish beer and wine. Very helpful and cheerful waiting staff. Drinks on the house after the meal. Live music helped the lively atmosphere. Seating was fine, not too cheek by jowl. My nephew and his wife said it was the most enjoyable restaurant that they had visited for a while. £103 for three including all drinks and service charge. I will go again!

A Monday night visit, and the staff made this a very special night for our daughter’s birthday celebration. Food was wonderful, as was everything else. Will certainly be back.

I ate there with a friend on a Friday night. The atmosphere was excellent, service generally very good (apart from offering and then failing to bring chilli sauce for my friend) and the food was excellent with good beer and wine that wasn't overly expensive. All in, a pleasant surprise and the main thing that would enhance the experience would be not looking out onto Orpington High Street but hey the owners can't help that! I will eat there again.

Came here with group of friends. The staff were very attentive and made us feel comfortable. We went for a couple of mixed grills and the portions were more then what we expected. The cocktails we fresh and great.. will be coming back

Me impresionó mucho este restaurante informal. En primer lugar, y sobre todo, la comida se preparó en el local y se hizo con un alto nivel. Los favores fueron sutiles y la cocina claramente se enorgullece de su trabajo.

Been here twice for dinner, both times on a Friday when they had a live band there who were very good. The portion sizes are huge and very nice, lovely service too. The meze platters are delicious.

We ate at this lovely little restaurant last night. The food is very good traditional turkish food, well cooked and presented. I had a vegertarian option and hubby a shish both meals were excellent. The service is amazing typical turkish hosts . I loved the fact there was music on too live music I hasten to add! We were very impressed and will be returning. It says a lot as there seemed to be regulars returning . Anyway highly recommended .

A very welcoming restaurant with a vibrant atmosphere. Engin looked after us so well. A very attentive & charming host to all his customers. The food was tasty, reasonably priced & generous in portion size. The musician was excellent. All in all, a real gem in Orpington!

Booked over 2 weeks ago birtgday meal, explained I would have a disabled person with me, tried to squash 6 of us on a 4 person table in the corner, disgusted they didnt care, table wasn't ready tried to scramble put extra seats in, told them wasn't happy shrugged their shoulders at me didn't care, told them I was leaving response was. Don't care.

Once again visited Ephesus for lunch. There is nothing about this restaurant that is unpleasant. As usual service and food were excellent. Very well cooked and presented. Very reasonable both for lunch and dinner. Wine good. Will be back again soon.

We have been visiting Ephesus since it first open and it is still one of our favourite restaurants for its friendliness and tasty food. The new owners and staff continue with same tradition of hospitality displayed by the previous owners. For my northern father it's his number one choice! Our family and friends all say what a lovely place.

I know this restaurant very well as I have been many times ovet the years.Went for dinner with my husband and we really enjoyed the so well cooked and tasty food, great service as usual and cosy atmosphere.

We went to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. It was a lovely evening and the staff tried really hard but were pushed with so many customers. The drinks were good, with a wide range of cocktails and most of the food was as you would expect. However, the main meats were a little dry and needed a bit more seasoning for my tastes. However, I would recommend this restaurant - it was fun and good value.

I haven't been to Ephesus for sometime, but I fixed that last night and certainly won't leave it so long next time..

Went to Ephesus on New Year’s Day with 6 friends and had a great time. Bearing in mind the staff didn’t leave until 5am following New Year’s Eve we thought they were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The service was excellent, not intrusive but there and also the waiter noticed a corked wine and replaced this and we didn’t even notice. The food as always was very good. Cooked properly and hot. No one had to wait for their meal, all served together. Going back in a week or two.

Used to be my go to restaurant for a fun night out.

Although we have lived in Orpington for many years, this was the first time in Ephesus (the last time we were here it was Pizza Hut!)

Great little bar the service is excellent and the food very flavoursome and hot. Cant stand cold food. My friends and I go there for lunch and the set is very varied and good value for money.

The service was good but the value for money in respect of the price per head was poor. To pay £50 per head for a glass of presecco and a prawn cocktail with a mixed kebab dish for main is to say the least expensive even for a NYE. I appreciate the cost of the entertainment but even taken that into account it is pricey as that is there most weekends. (When I have been previously in the year). It left a poor opinion on an evening that was being looked forward too.

Booked here well in advance for Christmas Day with my son and daughter (it’s a difficult time at home having lost their Dad so we now go out to eat). I called the restaurant and visited to check we were booked and advise of our menu choice - Christmas dinner!

We went to this restaurant for getting together with our family on Christmas. The staff was so lovely, very attentive and thoughtful. I can't say any negative thing about food because of It was gorgeous especially roasted turkey which is I had. Also cocktails were very fancy. It was clearly marvelous meal!

The staff here are very friendly. The waiter in particular was very attentive without being too overbearing. The food was of good quality and the place had a terriffic atmosphere. The live music playing towards the end of our meal was very good. One advantage of this place is the opening hours. It's open in the afternoon as well as evening. I've heard that there is belly dancing here from time to time, although I never experienced it on this occasion. I love Turkish food and will happily eat here again.

We had our Christmas work do here From when we got here it was a disaster We waited 45 minutes for a drink 2hrs from when we sat down we got our starters Food was poor I rather us all gone to McDonald’s

Prompt friendly service and good house wine let down by bought-in dishes and lack of fresh ingredients. Fish grossly over-cooked (like an all-terrain tyre). Far too much salt. Might be of interest if you are no judge of good cuisine and like a lot to eat. Sorry but this was my worst experience for a very long time and I shall not be going back.

We have been to that restaurant during Christmas pick time with bigger group of friends. I wouldn't say welcoming was very warm but maybe because of extremely busy evening. To avoid waiting and confusion with orders we have pre ordered food according to the list provided DAY BEFORE. we had to wait 1 hour and 10 minutes (!) to be served with starters. We had to wait additional 40 minutes, nagging serving staff to give us mains! Although food was very tasty, waiting time killed all the pleasure of the evening. I would not mention here about price for the meal itself which required mortgage application to be approved.

The food was ok, but the problem was it was all Luke warm. Not sure whether this was the restaurants fault or uber delivery, so I have to hold back on my judgement and try it a second time.

Usually quite a quiet restaurant, so finding a seat is no problem. The staff are welcoming & helpful. The house red wine here is very good. The food is so tasty- I opted for a mix of chicken Shish, kofte and lamb Shish, served with rice & added a side of chips! Needless to say, very filling. I even followed this with a baklava desert- again very tasty! Maybe not my last visit...

An eclectic feel in the restaurant with a pleasant playlist playing a just the right tempo and volume to create a relaxing dining environment.

Went for a birthday celebration. Rhe restaurant was very hot no air con and as it was very full it was uncomfortably hot. Staff were very friendly but as there was not enough of them service was lacking. Had to ask for water 3 times and side order arrived when dinner was nearly finished. The birthday Alce of cake was nice also offer of a free drink at the no of the night was a lovely gesture. Starter not too good but main meals nice. Good belly dancer.

Any evening drop in ... last minute meal out food was good and the live musician who played a good range of easy listening music at just the right volume to allow chatting or if you preferred as a few did, a dance with the wife..

Never judge a Book by its cover!!! This little Restaurant doesn’t look much from the outside, and at 17:30 in daylight it can look a little untidy, but, wait!!!

I took my dad here, for lunch, he has been to this restaurant quite a lot in the past. But, it is a 'New Ephesus' a family run restaurant. The family team are very friendly and enthusiastic, to make you enjoy your meall. The fixed price menu is 'exceptional value', food is nicely presented, excellent quality, and great portions. Friday and Saturday has live music according to the card, also takeaway is available, at discount. It appears to have a known regular clientele.

It's a mix of Greek and Turkish. Portions are a good size, the Turkish wine is excellent value and the free Turkish coffee was very welcome. £48 for two including wine, main courses a soft drink and tip. Excellent value.

Went to celebrate my husband's birthday. Booked but it wasn't too busy guess it was holidays so people are away

Went there with a friend this evening, Monday 6/8/18, it was his first visit to this restaurant and was he was duly impressed. Excellent service and tasty food, the home made lemonade was so refreshing for today's humid weather.

We have visited a few times now and have always been most pleased with the quality of food and service. I would definitely recommend.

We found all the other restaurants closing before ten and thought it would have to be a curry but luckily Ephesus was just warming up.

We dropped in quite by chance and enjoyed an excellent set lunch. The staff were friendly , the house wine was good and the food of a very good standard. My salmon was moist and my partner’s stifado really tasty. Our bill with 2 courses plus drinks was well below £40

Food was really nice the seafood very good. Staff were nice.although could probably do with a few more as got a bit busy. And the wait for attention could of been better.but the food made up for it.

Our daughter had her 40th birthday here. The food was lovely, the service was excellent and the staff attentive. All in all we had a great time. We will definitely visit there again on our own.
