Authentic Italian food, very good price-quality ratio. The service of the waiters Giacomo and Ursula was perfect. Even my dog ​​was able to stay at the table with us. The food is really great. The salmon penne was my favorite and we returned the next day to enjoy other dishes.

I stopped by after a 4 day bike tour, tired and very hungry. I had a warm welcome and they offered to keep my bike and gear safe in the back which was so appreciated. The food was delicious and hot (I had the chicken in mushroom cream sauce) and the staff very friendly. Would absolutely recommend and will be back next time I'm in the new forest!

Disappointed to be totally honest, has the chefs special , king scallops, frozen and well over cooked , rubbery , main was veil in a white wine and mushroom sauce , very tough , lovely restaurant in a lovely town , why can they not get fresh ingredients and food cooked right , sorry but just not good enough

Really was looking forward to this after staying in the area with the family, ordered a take away and sadly when I finished my plate of spaghetti bolognaise there was a hair in my food. This is awfully sad, I’m a bit upset really.

Absolutely lovely. The food was delicious, the garlic bread being a particular delight. Service was friendly and efficient, portion size and pricing very fair, and the atmosphere was warm without being noisy. Highly recommended.

Do not recommend. Appreciate that restaurants can be busy but do not seat customers who haven’t reserved if you’re going to be rude and ignore them for 15 minutes. No acknowledgment or apology, walked out. Good birthday meal with my husband. Went to the Italian on Southampton Road instead!

Unfortunately didn't get as far as eating any food. We arrived and was greeted by a very rude front of house! We was sat down and ignored for 15 minutes and chose to walk out. I was recommended this place by a friend because of the food but I would never step foot in this place again. If you would like a Italian restaurant that ticks all the boxes but treats their customers like sh*?t then this is the place for you

Beautiful food & service. The Black Tiger prawns were lovely with a subtle chilli kick, husband had the selection of meats & cheese which went down a treat. Shared a lovely bottle of Nero D'Avola which was a perfect temperature. We both went for the Saltimbocca which was delicious then Affogato, heavenly!

I had the panna cotta dessert, and it was the tastiest thing I have ever eaten in my whole life, 10/10!

A genuine Italian 🇮🇹 Experience! I especially loved the automatic addition of port to the cheeseboard, good idea 👌 Chilli 🌶️ oil was also homemade and packed quite a punch 🥊

Me and my partner decided to give this place a try the other week and wow. Words can not describe how good the experience is. I had a pizza topped with goats cheese and it was delicious. Pudding was fantastic and the wine was spot on. Highly recommend if you enjoy your Italian food, flavours are great and the atmosphere is perfect.

We chose this restaurant as it was recommended to us. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who took us to our table and took our order. The starter arrived which was lovely, however we hadnt finished our starter when they brought our main dish out and we felt we were being a little rushed before they took orders for a large party that came in!! Once we had eaten our main we then waited a long time before we were offered dessert.

We visit regularly. The team are so nice, nothing is too much trouble, the food is always tasty. I would highly recommend.

Nice but beware...there was a slap on 12% service charge at the bottom of the bill!!! £42 !!! It should be law against it. Customers who don't know to look would pay it. Robbery!!!

From the moment we entered Dolce Vita, we were made to feel extremely welcome by the team, everyone seemed happy and engaging. Our main server sharing jokes and insight into the food and drinks we'd enjoy. We were shown to our table where we ordered drinks and studied the main and specials menus. Most of us ordered the salmon bruschetta form the special menu as a starter, which was enjoyed by all, with most of us opting for a variety of fillet steaks as mains. I ordered the "Filetto Bossciola" a good size fillet in a Madeira and mushroom sauce, lovely ! As we were enjoying the evening so much, we continued onto desserts which everyone also loved. Gelati Affogato was a highlight here. The great food was enhanced by the brilliant service in an immaculately clean, modern restaurant. A superb evening all round.

My partner and I had an amazing meal accompanied by our 17week old daughter. Each meal was amazing and all staff couldn't do enough for you. Friendly and accommodating. We shall return on our next little holiday.

We visited here on Friday for date night and were taken back by the incredible service in Dolce Vita. From start to finish all staff were extremely attentive and made us feel welcome from the get go. We really appreciated it! When inquiring about the wine menu, a gentleman explained and recommended each option to us. Food service was very quick and all 4 of our dishes arrived hot at the same time. The atmosphere here is perfect as even on a busier night the seating doesn’t feel packed. If you do come here please order the garlic bread! Pricing for the pizza and pasta is reasonable and all in all it felt like an authentic Italian restaurant that was a lovely surprise for our trip!

Staying locally and found this restaurant. I'm glad we booked as it was full. The lady was so lovely and sweet, she couldn't do enough to help. I had brushetta to start, but there was too much salt on this dish. Then carbonara, this was nice but needed more seasoning. Fore alarm went off at the end of our meal, but that was no ones fault. No car park. I would visit again if in the area

This is by far one of the nicest Italian restaurants l've been. The food was exceptional I had the Filetto Forestiera which I highly recommend. The 7oz Fillet steak with wild mushrooms, garlic, onion and a cream and white wine sauce was beautiful with all the flavours. My wife had Penne al Salmone which she loved. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and tentative to all guests.

While we were on a 2 night getaway in Lyndhurst we decided to visit Dolce Vita for our first evening meal, about a 7 minute walk from the hotel we stayed at. Visiting in the middle of winter meant it was pitch black on the way there but when we arrived we received a wonderful welcome. We all had a 3 course meal. The menus were written in Italian and English, this definitely helped in choosing our orders with the aura of the Italian restaurant, my "Del Boy" Italian perhaps not so much! The manageress was so apologetic about them being short staffed but if they were, we genuinely didn't notice. The time between ordering to being served was minimal. Fabulous service and fabulous food, my sons pizza was melded and served in the shape of a bear-a nice touch which he loved! Great value for money, great food, great service and a great welcome! Thank you for having us!

We booked a table to have dinner here as part of a birthday trip for my mum. The service was wonderful, when they heard it was for my mums birthday they even bought over dessert with a candle and sung to her! The food was absolutely delicious and all of the staff were so lovely. We will definitely be coming back here the next time we’re in Lyndhurst!

Returning customers. Lovely as always. Really friendly service and amazing food all freshly cooked. Felt slightly rushed tonight as normally we wait longer between courses or for food to arrive. But I think that’s because they had a big party in so they wanted to get our orders cooked before they had theirs. Will definitely return though. Good value for money and good portions.

The staff and quality of food lived up to reputation especially seeing there were 12 of us on a Saturday evening and they were very busy. Great atmosphere, quality food and will return.

Very good atmosphere and friendly staff + kids pizzas were great. Didn't particularly like the fact they add 12% service charge automatically and prices on the bill were more expensive than the menu (we were given an old menu apparently). Also one dish wasn't as listed on the menu, didn't get told and still charged full price. They said "sorry we ran out"! 🙄

The food was lovely, the service was friendly and attentive. The food came quickly. The restaurant felt very well presented, the tables were well set and everything was clean. The toilets- which often say a lot about an establishment- were extremely well presented and absolutely spotless. 3 of us ate at lunchtime with mains, sides and deserts (although without alcohol). The bill was £85 which seems pretty much fair value in today's world. Definitely recommended and would return.

My wife and I stopped in on a Sunday on the way home from a day out. We were warmly greeted and instantly felt at home there. The menu has plenty to offer. It really feels like an authentic Italian restaurant. The decor is beautiful and fits the way the staff treat you. I had the prawns for starters, steak for mains and Creme brûlée for dessert. All washed down with a lovely red. A wonderful experience. Please go try it for yourself.

Very nice. We had a complete tour of the menu: appetizers, main, dessert, wine - and liked every single thing. We will not be back soon, but when we are back in New Forest for another vacation this will be a dinner for us. Note that the restaurant is closed in the afternoon and reopens at 5 every day, opposed to what Google shows at the moment.

Staying near by we visited Dolce Vita twice during the week we there. Carlo was a great host, the food presented had an authentic Italian “famalia” style, we especially enjoyed the affogato dessert. Even the wine selection was impressive and reasonable. I would recommend Dolce Vita as a deserving five stars.

Arrived at just after 5pm on a Saturday and luckily they could squeeze us in, so be sure to book if coming later! Food was lovely and service efficient and friendly.

Reviews are accurate. Excellent portions, good price and great service we received. I rarely order a bolognese outside of home but they have nailed it. The scallop special was really good too. Would definitely come back

We went for an authentic pizza and we were not disappointed! There were plenty of pasta options too. The service was great, prompt and friendly but not rushed in any way. We sacrificed starters because we wanted to try the dessert menu and, again, not disappointed! We will absolutely go again, but possibly a little later than 7pm when it was very noisy, but settled down quite soon after that. I totally recommend!

Had a meal here on Tuesday evening and it was delicious! I had garlic bread and spaghetti bolognaise and my partner had minestrone soup and tagliatelle with prawns. I also had tiramisu. It’s run by authentic Italians and they are friendly and welcoming. I cannot recommend enough.

Staff were initally friendly enough, but after ordering we waited ages for our meals. When they arrived both had been made as calzone, when one should have been a flat pizza. Staff apologised and offered to remake the pizza order, but as we were starving by this stage we agreed to accept the mistake. When both calzones were opened they were all plain dough and no topping on one side and the other side had barely any topping and what it had was completely tasteless. Not the full calzone you would expect from a decent Italian restaurant. Would not recommend or return.

If you’re in the area, you need to book up and dine 👍. You will not be disappointed with your meal. Enough dishes so everyone is accounted for, and a clean and friendly environment also. The main man is very helpful, and although he was always busy, takes the time to interact and ensure you’re happy. Sorry no photos, food didn’t last thot long

We ate here tonight totally unplanned and it turned out to be the best meal we’ve had since being in the New Forest! The food is fresh, tasty and seasoned to perfection and the service is friendly and attentive. A lovely atmosphere. Would recommend the Tagliatelle Gamberetti & the Spaghetti Carbonara, with a creamy lemon sorbet to finish! Thank you.

Lovely little family rum restaurant in Lynhurst. Reasonable prices for food and the quality was super. Loved that any pizza could be made as calzone. I had this and it was as good as I've had anywhere. I thought the alcoholic drinks were up at the more expensive side which was a wee bit disappointing. Overall we would thoroughly recommend this for a meal out.

We decided to try Dolce Vita for a change and it did not disappoint! We had the Calamari and Stuffed Funghi Ripieni to start, followed by the Scaloppine alla Crema and the Linguine Gamberetti E Broccoli, which was the star of the show with loads of prawns and fresh tenderstem broccoli and little kick of Chilli! 😋 We also shared a Tiramissu which rounded the meal off perfectly. Food was all cooked fresh and was delicious, and Staff were friendly and very attentive. Lovely little restaurant and will most certainly return to sample some more culinary delights at reasonable prices!

We stopped by on our way to Southampton and they gave us a table straight away without booking. The service is great and the food is tasty.

Had to wait an extra 5 mins which was fine but received completely undercooked food. Two pizzas and chips, none were even close to cooked and had to be put in the oven for 5 mins at home to finish cooking. Very poor, particularly for the price. Won't be going back. The staff were friendly in the restaurant.

I turned up unannounced at the restaurant this evening and they found a table for me despite a busy looking diary on the front of house desk. I’m from an Italian family but honestly they served me the best spaghetti carbonara I can remember ever having, an excellent glass of house red to compliment the pasta. We were staying in Lyndhurst as a family group to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. I picked this restaurant, as it was within easy walking distance of where we were staying & when I telephoned to make the booking, they were very friendly & helpful. When we arrived at 7pm the restaurant was full (Easter Saturday), but our table was all ready. There was a bit of a mix up with drinks, but was all put right. Orders were taken for starters & main for 10 of us) Gain, there was a little bit of a mix up wit( the starters, with only half of them arriving, but the rest came soon after with many apologies. Food was good & reasonably priced. We were all offered a lemon cello to finish the meal.

Dolce Vita is certainly an "italianised" restaurant for the UK market. Stuck in the 80s, with its surrounding and the menu items. The calamari as a starter were slightly chewy and the scallops didn't need the mushroom sauce. The biggest disappointment was the pizza, the base was more like a focaccia and I am not sure the base was made fresh. In Italy, all pizzeria have the oven as open view to the guests, but there was no sign of the oven in the restaurant I also found it very upsetting the waitress was waiting behind us when paying and the credit card machine had 15% - 18% and 20% as option for the service, and we felt overlooked and pushed to choose 15% as option for the service where a 10% would have been plenty and actually too much!
