Encore Cafe at The Core in Solihull

A friendly little cafe adjoining The Core in the centre of Solihull. Everywhere was immaculate with very clean cutlery and crockery. The menu was simple but the food was fresh and well presented. Very reasonably price, too. Recommended.

Watch out for a man with no Core uniform that you only see very occasionally, he put cake's out for sale that are still frozen, brings orders for 2 tables at a time and delivers them to the wrong tables. All the staff there are very friendly except this man that I've already said you only see him very occasionally which is a good thing because he totally spoils the atmosphere of the Core cafe.

We were in the town centre and decided to get something to drink from here. There is the theatre here and also the library is here. The place was quiet with only a couple of tables with people on. The menu selection wasn't overly big typical small cafe style. I had a cappuccino which was ok. Overall the decor is nice, big windows to see into the centre area outside going into touchwood shopping centre. The theatre entrance in here and also access to the library. The staff seemed friendly. The place seemed clean. Prices aren't too bad

Good food and friendly staff. However, incredibly, they now charge 50p for a very small jug of hot water to top up you very small pot of tea. I spent £17.50 there today so was not happy with this new charge. I cancelled the hot water!!

We visit this cafe 3 times a week,the hot drinks are the best I've had in any well known Coffee shop and cheaper.The staff are always pleasant.It's a very clean Cafe which I can't say that about some in Solihull,toilets are clean.This Cafe is a little gem.

We visit the Cafe 2-3 times a week and never disappointed.The Cappuccinos are the best I've had anywhere including the well known Coffee Shops.It's a very clean Cafe and very relaxing.The food is nicely cooked to order.This morning we were served by S-Nathan who was very helpful and friendly.

Nice clean café with a limited but very good quality menu. The staff are very friendly and professional. Although on the down side the men's WC is a disgrace.

This cafe services the library and theatre but is available to all. The menu is fairly limited but adequate. When we visited Christmas special lunches were available. Tasty. Prices were good; service fine. The ambiance is a little clinical but is fine. In this post-lockdown covid period it is important to note that tables were quite well spaced.

For weeks now I have been visiting the cafe in Solihull Library, Encore Cafe The Core. All staff are always cheerful, friendly & helpful. The food is always freshly cooked, well presented & served at the table. Thank you to all involved from the counter to the kitchen staff. I often bring a friend once a week & he loves his food here as much as I do! 😉 10/10!

Table service at the outdoor seating was really good and the staff were friendly and helpful. A limited menu due to restrictions but we had a lovely lunch.

Nice large cafe near to the theatre and the library and the touch wood centre.nice big glass windows so you can drink your coffee and watch the day go by.the encore serves drinks snacks etc and counter staff are very helpful and friendly.

Great community centre with library, cafe , and theatre. Much better value than the major chain outlets and some really interesting exhibitions.

This place is not to be missed but I’m sure it is, Breakfast lunch or just a drink it’s clean and the staff are amazing they give it that homely feel, Carol lady on the till makes the place is ace very helpful with choice and info

I use the Encore cafe regularly and I can honestly say the service is consistent. Nice food freshly prepared, friendly staff. Excellent

Absolutely lovely. Reserved table on arrival, the tea was regularly refilled, the selection of sandwiches and cakes was lovely. At only £12per person, fantastic value for money.

Catch up with friend, we went to Encore cafe for a hot chocolate, which was delicious, after a walk round shops decided to visit again for lunch which was delicious, busy cafe but staff helpful, only moan was we sat by window and lots of cigarette ends outside which isn’t nice when you are eating, but will definitely return.

Was severed by a lovely lady called Carol, she was really friendly. We ordered breakfast which was absolutely delicious. Nice and friendly place to come and visit.

The staff are so friendly and happy to help with anything. The food is delicious. Definitely worth a visit. It does get busy around lunchtime, but is worth it. They also serve afternoon tea which is also lovely.
