My husband and me are regulars at EM’s so today when we visited we were saddened to see that she is closing down today. The baking has always been first class and the friendly staff, amazing. EM’s will be greatly missed in Dingwall. All that is left for me to say is that we wish Emily and her staff all the very best in the future. A truely brilliant baker.

When you have a true hidden gem like Ems & Co on your doorstep, you always feel a little reluctant to shout about it too loudly...but in this case, it would be completely unfair not to! Ems & Co isn't very prominent to see from the main road but when you get inside and walk through the serenely decorated seating area for the first time to see the vast array of delicious patisserie and savouries waiting for you to choose from, you very quickly understand what all the fuss is about. We don't recall seeing such an extensive selection of cakes anywhere within the area or for that matter outside the central belt in Scotland. We're still trying new things each time we visit and the quality is superb, everything not only looks good but tastes brilliant. For us, prices may not be the cheapest around but you're getting the best quality around so value for money is entirely fair. And finally, the lovely people serving in Ems & Co are always extremely friendly and genuinely attentive.

This is a great place - fantastic selection of beautiful artisan baking - sweet & savoury. Pricey but definitely good value for money. The sausage roll, served with salad, might not sound like much - absolutely delicious!

My daughter, having recently moved to this area, had raved about Ems & Co so we made a date to have coffee with one of her friends. I was certainly not disappointed….what a find! The coffee is fantastic and, accompanied by a cinnamon bun, It just made my day. Normally I have a fixation with home made scones but this is surely a rival! Seated outside on the station platform, we must have been the envy of trains stopping there. Really friendly staff, including the lovely baker, Emily, completed this picture. Such a pity that I live 160 miles away but maybe better for my bank balance!

Fantasic, you have to come here!! Had the Feta and butternut squash quiche, earl grey tea and huge Almond croissant. Staff delightful. All I would say is that it was dlightly chilly (doors open onto railway platform and outside tables) but understand this may be for Covid purposes.

Been a few times for brunch or soup with some friends. Their Sunday Brunch was excellent, some great options but my favourite was the parsnip soup with bread. So beautiful! Also, the hot chocolates are fab.

Tucked away right on the platform of Dingwall Station this little gem is a delight . The food is all homemade and a delightful selection of savoury bakes , soup and tempting cakes. Service complements the culinary delights. How wonderful to have a pot of tea served with bone china cups. Looking forward to my next visit.

Today we visited Em & co at lunchtime we only called in for a drink but when we saw the food being brought out we decided to eat so we had a pork & Haggis sausage roll wow what a taste and flavour I asked waitress and she said they actually made them. The Quiches looked fantastic as did the homemade cakes. So if we ever visit Dingwall again we definitely be paying another visit oh and by the way it’s attached to the train station platform

Stopped here for a late lunch. The selection of home made quiche, frittatas etc was superb but made it difficult to choose. I had smoked salmon and cream cheese quiche and my wife had roast vegetables frittata both were delicious and served with an amazing salad that was so full of flavours. I saw the cake selection which was irresistible and had the strawberry Victoria sponge which was amazing. The place was spotless and all of the staff were warm, friendly and very efficient. We stayed at Taigh Ailean for our trip to Skye. We also had the opportunity to eat dinner there (Breakfast was included with our stay.) The dinner was so delicious! The view is lovely as you can see the loch from the windows of the bar. All the staff is fantastic and so friendly! I had a great dinner and I would describe it, but the menu changes to suit what is in season and available from the sea. Whatever you get, I guarantee it will be the best! Make sure you call ahead and get a reservation as it fills up quickly. I know that they also have live music, which would be great, but we didn't have any while we were there.

We had some really delicious cake and tea. I would definitely recommend the banana chocolate cake and the apple caramel cake. The service was really nice and I would definitely stop there again.

Agree with the other reviews. This is an unlikely place to find at the end of the world. We felt welcomed and in the main enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the cost for the 2 of us. £200 for a snack, breakfast, plate of curry and a bunkhouse bed with no shower and a outside toilet seemed breathtaking expensive. To put this into perspective, we go to a nice hotel each year for a winter break, that's more than we pay per day at the hotel with vastly more civilized amenities. I do understand there are logistics involved at Cape wrath. However for an 'ordinary' local Scottish person I'd be looking to stay at sandwood bay and make a lunch trip to the cafe as I simply can't justify the cost/value. However, it is altogether improbably situated and a must experience if you are doing a long walk. Just be prepae your expectations.

Food was nice and service was, for the most part, friendly. One server seemed to be having a bad day. Brusque and barely civil. Very expensive for what was served.
