Good Service brilliant atmosphere Food was lovely

I had dinner with friends, and everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the charred lamb chops and chicken bao, both of which were delicious. The Blues mocktail was refreshing, and the portion sizes were great for the price. The service was excellent—the staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The heating circulation wasn’t ideal, possibly because we were seated in the corner, but it was still manageable. However, there was no heating in the washroom, and it was freezing cold.

My 2nd visit here and this time with guests from the food capital of the world, Istanbul. We were looking for a place which offers great food and ambience in equal measure. However, this time round everything exceeded our expectations. The food and service could not be faulted. Everyone who tended to our table was exceptional but the 2 that stood out were Zachariah and Muhammad (I believe it was his 1st shift at the restaurant). I would recommend the briskt, miso steak and short ribs. We will be back soon with even more guests!

Starters: 6/10 Dynamite Prawns were very nice. The Beef Sushi was not anything amazing but not too bad. Main: 3/10 Cote De Boeuf was presented well and before serving the waiter put on quite the display with the fire and dry ice. Once served I noticed that the steak was very undercooked. I asked for it to be cooked Medium, what I got was more like Rare. I sent the steak back to be cooked further and it comes back well done and too dry. At this point it had ruined my appetite and I asked for the bill and left shortly after paying it. Service: 2/10 No one really came over once we were seated. We were looking around so we can order and in the end I had to flag someone down. Service was also very slow, even tho we arrived when it wasn’t too busy

Great food and service in a beautiful building.

Firstly, the service was absolutely abismal. The waiter was rushing us to order as the kitchen was closing soon. Next, the food was mid. It was average, emre burger is extremely greasy, dripping with oil. Waiter took away my date's plate when I hadn't finished eating, this is extremely rude. In addition, he decided to take away our drinks that we hadn't finished. So disappointed, I don't recommend. REFUND THE PPL DEM

Honestly, can’t fault them. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The service is a little slow (given that I had to ask about the same thing three times) but Anya as our main server, was the very best. Her hospitality is amazing. If I had to rate her hospitality alone I’d say it’s 5 stars.

Was not aware that Steak and Lounge is closed on a Tuesday so was quite disappointed that won't get a good steak today. Then thought let's try out a place I've not been to. So we went to Emre steakhouse. Not having any expectations we ordered the Fillet Steak, and boy how good was the steak. Cooked to perfection and tasted great. Sides was chips and peppercorn sauce. The chips could be better but peppercorn sauce was one of the best I've had. For dessert we had the san Sebastian cheesecake and that was so fresh, soft and delicious. Reminded me of Istanbul. Definitely the best I've had in the UK. Overall a great experience. The place is pricey but dont mind paying for quality food. Service was really good and the place is spacious and elegant.

Beautiful surroundings, very friendly and helpful staff. It is quite difficult to find decent smoked brisket/ribs. The meat here was very moist and fall off the bone tender, by far the best halal smokehouse I have visited. Very much look forward to going back again!

Decor and atmosphere are flawless. Really elegant, ambient, and warm atmosphere. Seating, cutlery, glassware etc. were good quality. Staff were generally really warm and welcoming, although, as a nit pick, no one asked how our food was, and no one saw us out as we headed out. As for the food, unfortunately, it just didn't cut it for me. Add to that the price tag, I really expected to have some really good food. The porterhouse steak I ordered was dehydrated, an adjective which simply should not go in the same sentence in which steak is mentioned. The chips were OK. For a steak meal which is supposed to be premium accompanied by a premium price tag of £42, I really expected the chips to at least be steak cut chips, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The dynamite shrimp was good, exactly as I expected. A slightly smaller portion, but the quality and taste made up for that. Mocktail was again, something I expected to be to at least a decent standard. Unfortunately, the passion mocktail consisted largely of cheap supermarket-tasting mango/tropical juice. Finally the baklava for dessert was not fresh. It was super soggy. For around £8, I was expecting it to at least not be soggy.

The experience was just okay. Not the best. Our waitress wasn’t friendly but I didn’t mind. We ordered items from their small plates. The dishes arrived to our table cold / lukewarm. Didn’t enjoy the beef sushi because it was cold. We were also informed they don’t do a fire show anymore for the beef sushi which was a disappointment as we were looking forward to it. The mock-tails looked great but tasted like something you’d get from the supermarket. But they looked great. We enjoyed the lamb chops though. They were tasty. I told the waitress it was my birthday but she didn’t seem interested. I would recommend coming here for a quick meal but I’d go somewhere else for a birthday dinner. Overall 3/5 because of the interior and building

Myself and a friend visited Emre Smokehouse. We travelled quite far for this place and it was well worth it. The decor is amazing and just the feel of the place is spot on. Our server was Anya, she provided an excellent service and just gave some proper good vibes. Some feedback for improvement - We did have servers come over to us repeatedly, what felt like every 5 minutes asking us if our food was okay, I understand that they was doing this for hospitality purposes. Our food was perfect, it just wasn't ideal having someone come over every few minutes but it's not enough to put us off from coming back again. I would've put 3 stars for the service if it wasn't for Anya. She redeemed everyone else. The two steaks that we ordered were probably some of the best steaks that we have had from anywhere. This is definitely going to be my go to spot, it's worth the drive. I did read the other negative reviews from other customers, but figured it was still worth trying. I'm happy I did. Thanks once again to Anya, your a legend. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the abysmal service my family and I encountered during our recent visit to on Emres 11.10.2024 Our experience was so disappointing that I feel compelled to detail the multiple issues we faced in hopes of bringing them to your attention for immediate improvement. Upon our arrival at the restaurant, we were greeted with a sparse number of patrons present, which raised my expectations for timely service. However, contrary to what one would expect from a quiet establishment, we experienced extensive delays in receiving our food and drinks. We waited for an unreasonably long time, and it became increasingly difficult to understand the lack of organisation and flow when the restaurant was so lightly populated. It was perplexing that there was no apparent urgency in the kitchen, nor any communication from your staff regarding the delays. When the food finally reached our table, there was still a lack of consistency in service. Drinks were delivered at different times, with some arriving long after others had started their meals. It created a disjointed dining experience that was far from enjoyable, leaving us increasingly frustrated as we waited for our remaining orders. Given the delays, I felt it necessary to approach the manager yourself, as it turned out to express my concerns about the situation. To my astonishment, when I raised my concerns, you responded with laughter. This reaction was not only shocking but also deeply unprofessional. I expected a constructive dialogue regarding the issues we faced, and your body language and demeanor were confrontational and, frankly, offensive. It was utterly unacceptable for someone in a management position to exhibit such aggression and dismissiveness towards paying customers. In addition, we faced an issue with our order of steaks. We specifically requested three 250g steaks, only to be informed that the restaurant had run out of this particular item and could only offer us two. Instead of offering alternatives or accommodating us in any way, the solution provided was to purchase a single 500g steak. This inflexibility and lack of consideration for our needs showed a troubling disregard for customer satisfaction. We were left feeling like our patronage was not valued, which is certainly not the kind of treatment one expects from an establishment of your purported caliber. Regrettably, this entire experience was marked by a lack of attentiveness, professionalism, and basic customer service standards. It has profoundly affected my family’s impression of Emres. I want to emphasise that this has been the worst dining experience we have encountered, and I can confidently say that we will not be returning.

We had a lovely meal at emre celebrating an 18th birthday and it was our first time at this establishment. Service was amazing, food was excellent, atmosphere and decor is beautiful! Steaks were cooked to perfection and desserts were gorgeous. Zubada served us and was absolutely amazing! Will definitely be returning.

The fillet steak with chimmicurri was to die for. The service all round is attentive had a slight issue with the burger which management dealt with. Didn’t take anything away from our lovely evening. The chocolate dome pudding was 10/10 and I do not like desserts. Finished off with a Turkish tea. Perfect. Thanks for a great evening we will definitely be back

Place is amazing. 100% going. Atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. Really felt so calm and pleasant. Service by the staff there was great. They were friendly and attentive. Staff were helpful making sure we had what we needed. The food is really tasty and perfectly cooked. The brisket were soft tender. Ribs were cooked perfectly and just fell off the bone. Chicken was perfectly cooked again so soft and tender meat just fell of the bone. Had spicy prawns for starters beautiful crunch on the coating and with juice prawn inside. Spicy mouth was delicious. 100% going again for the Tomahawk. Emre is a great experience as well as the unique food for Leicester. Also the prices are really good for the quality meat on offer.

Food took forever to arrive and we had to chase it as others who came in a long time after us were getting served .We weren’t local and we asked if they could book a cab at the end of the meal and the waitress said they don’t do that anyway you’ve got a phone!!! Worse service I’ve had in years

Awful experience. Service was that of a novice. Food and the steak was dry and cold with no taste whatsoever. Genuinely disappointed as we travelled from Birmingham to get here. If you want to go for the church esque opulence, that's the closest you will get to satisfaction. An insult to all steakhouses to even call this a steakhouse.

Simply the best in Leicester, Raju makes the best stake presentation, great show with the food and they even cut it for you. Second time visiting and it was amazing. Attended as a group of 8 and there were plenty of empty plates and smiles. The steak was perfectly cooked and the starters were to die for. The mocktails were also a decent size in comparison to other restaurants. I had the maple glazed chicken which had a perfect amount of heat/spice and was not overpowering with sweetness. The lamb chops were succulent and were not overly seasoned. Unfortunately there was no space for desserts, maybe next time. Overall great service and great food. Well priced and 100% value for money. My only suggestion would to have the toilets cleaned more often. But apart from that will definitely be visiting again and suggesting to friends and family.

Emre steakhouse is an incredible restaurant. It’s an old cathedral refurbished into a steakhouse. High ceilings, hanging chandeliers and intimate ambience. Perfect for date nights and gatherings. The steaks were incredible. We had the tomahawk, cote de boeuf and porterhouse. Meat was juicy, tender and chargrilled to perfection. Not to mention, the cheesecake is legendary. I think it is the best steakhouse and cheesecake in Leicester. Special thanks to Raju and team, whose warmth and service made our experience even more memorable.

Visited here on a special occasion with my better half ! An old refurbished church with all the original fixtures, the main alter surrounds a vip area, takes a bit of getting used to first but gradually turns into a very intimate setting. Calm relaxed atmosphere,chilled house lounge beats in the background and very attentive staff. Food was lovely,picanha and ribeye both really nicely cooked to Perfection! Twice I’ve been here, a year apart and enjoyed both visits. Second visit was last Saturday, a group of ten. The interior of this church/restaurant is stunning; red carpet on arrival, a fountain with a lily, lit up floor, complimentary and non-invasive lighting; just a stunning venue. We had the same table as our previous visit and some of us ordered the same meals too. All meals were lovely but we missed the big deep fried onion. Staff were attentive and patient. A four star instead of a five star as we ordered three side bowls of chips and only two came, we thought our server maybe hadn’t heard one of the chip orders so we didn’t chase it up but we were charged for three portions on our bill which we had to rectify. Also the coke isn’t nice, at £3.50 a bottle I want something like a coke/pepsi; the brand we were given was not nice; shame. Did enjoy watching the meatball meal being flambè’d and the chocolate domes bursting open under the hot chocolate sauce. I had the brisket (would love more slaw with it though) and cheesecake which was absolutely beaut. Would recommend and would happily visit again…but no cheap coke next time.

Having heard nothing but great reviews of this place I was quite excited to try it and even made sure to only eat a light lunch before hand. On arrival, the premises are stunning, a beautiful old church illuminated and a welcoming red carpet. Stepping inside you are greeted by huge chandeliers, a dry ice fountain, butchers counter at the back with fridges displaying the meat. I was salivating! Once seated, our (non alcoholic) drinks soon arrived and we watched the spectacle around us as warm chocolate melted spheres and flames soared as specials were being prepared and served table side. We continued to watch... After around 20 minutes we managed to attract a waiters attention to order some food. More time passed, drinks were finished and we waited... Food arrived almost an hour later... I looked down at my Tomahawk that I had ordered rare and seeing how thin it was (<10mm at the edges) I instantly knew I was in for a disappointment. It also looked like it had been savaged by a knife wielding maniac as it had been nothing short of hacked from the bone into pieces before being plated and served with a raw piece of garlic, single cherry tomato and sprig of fresh rosemary perched on top. To the side was little more than a drip of chimmichurri sauce and a bowl of fries. I cut into the steak and my fears were confirmed, it was well done and flavourless. Had it not been so late, I would most certainly have sent it back and left to dine elsewhere. My friends porterhouse was equally disappointing and over cooked served with a "dollop" of peppercorn sauce that you could literally slice. Despite ordering some of the biggest steaks on the menu, we both left feeling hungry questioning the true weight. Stunning venue but the food & service were dreadful.

The food was brilliant there was lots of options to choose from you will not be disappointed, the customer service was spot on. The location is good it wasn’t something I’ve been to before as it was like a church but it was very nice inside.

The food is overpriced for what it is….lovely decor but the food is average. I ordered chicken boa the boa was hard and it’s suposoed to be soft, I ordered a side of fries which were mediocre. At the price of the chips I thought they would be home made clearly it was frozen crop. The food took forever coming and when asked they said it was due to a friend who had ordered prawns. The food was cold I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I definitely wouldn’t come again even if you paid M. Much better other place in Leicester

Emre Steakhouse is an absolute gem in Leicester! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a stunning interior that sets the tone for an incredible dining experience. The atmosphere is vibrant and buzzing, making it the perfect spot for a special night out. Now, let's talk about the food, 10/10 doesn't even begin to cover it! My partner and I shared the Cola Short Rib starter, and it was hands down the star of the show. The flavors were out of this world! For our mains, we both went for the Fillet steak, cooked medium-well, and it was sheer perfection. Every bite was spot on and left us craving more. The service was beyond amazing attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcomed. Overall, I couldn't be happier with our experience at Emre Steakhouse. This is easily the best steakhouse in Leicester, and we’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend! (I always get my food without garnish)

I recently visited Emre for my birthday meal, and I must express my disappointment with the service we received. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty -only three tables occupied- I was told upon arrival that we needed a reservation. When we indicated that we would leave, the staff member then offered to serve us as a "favour." After being seated, we were left unattended for an extended period. I had to get up and ask for our order to be taken. When the server finally approached, he did so with an unprofessional attitude. Our food was eventually delivered by another staff member, but when we requested an additional side, it was added to our order yet never brought to our table. Throughout our meal, the staff seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to customers, which was surprising given the lack of customers. Additionally, the quality and presentation of the food was disappointing and the portions were more suitable for a child than an adult. To top it off, when it came time to pay, the server simply left the bill on our table while I was holding my card, expecting her to take the payment. Instead, she just walked off. I had to get up again to request that they process the payment by card, which is not an ideal experience for any customer. For nearly £100, the level of service and food quality was unacceptable. I will not be returning to Emre and cannot recommend it to others

This was an impulse visit whilst we were visiting Leicester. We were served by Alexander. The hummus was delicious and the bread soft. I had the truffle pasta would recommend! Hubby had the short rib which was amazing value for money. Drinks were delicious too and not overloaded with ice.

Our first visit to Emre coming from up North. We did book our table for 9:30 and they closed at 11. Understandably got told kitchen closes at 10 so we had to rush our decision on what to order. One of the items was unavailable, wanted an extra drink after 10 even the bar was closed to couldn’t order extra drinks. Aside the food being nice. It is over priced and the service was very disappointing considering it’s such a beautiful restaurant

The Food was absolutely amazing and the whole feel of the restaurant was stunning! Alexander was fantastic and very knowledgable about the food and gave us good recommendations. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for that special place to eat with friends, family or partners. You have to Visit Emre!

£3 for BBQ sauce but on the plus... no charge for ketchup!? Porterhouse, lacked flavour, asked for med- well but still undercooked, would have returned it but the chef had already cut my steak.... why? No one asked me! Fillet Mignon, cooked better & was not cut so the wife enjoyed it. Dynamite prawns - £12, see pic to make your own conclusion but if you're struggling with your magnifier, there are 6 small prawns in the pic. Loaded fries was nice. Decor of the place was amazing however, need to work on the food to reflect the price... but still can't get over the charge for BBQ sauce :( * HMC approved. * Prayer room available.

This is the best stake house I've ever been too. I say this as a seasoned worldwide traveler and have eaten at some of the best resturantes in the world, but this place was the best. I was absolutely gob smacked. Will be coming again.

My husband and I celebrated our 9th anniversary at Emre, and we had a wonderful experience. As a niqab wearer, we prefer visiting restaurants during quieter times for ease and privacy while eating. We arrived on a Tuesday evening at around 9 pm and were seated in a far and private corner, which provided the privacy we needed. They also turned off the music for us as we requested for the volume to be lowered. Service We were served by Zuby, who was such a pleasure! She was thoughtful and helpful as we considered what to order, and her recommendations were spot on. Food We thoroughly enjoyed the food; it was delicious, high quality and wholesome. Drinks were great too. The setting was also beautiful, and we would definitely visit again.

Totally love the ambiance and the food. Khalid took care of us very professionally and made sure we were comfortable and being serves well 10/10. Ordered Truffle Caesar Salad crisp lettuce and tender chicken and the dressing was covered all over. Coute De boeuf will was really filling for two. Chicken steak for kids was tender and soft, portion was good enough. Pina colada and Fraise for drinks were up to the mark. Ohh yes how can you not try the chocolate dome.

Lovely experience and food. The waiter Nov was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome.
