The delivery driver was lovely. Food was hearty but a bit thin. All sauces thin and limited. I’ve eaten here before and been blown away, I’m sure I will be again, but this one was limp.

Not only was this meal stone cold it was very late as well. Both the korma and lamb pasanda sauces were tasteless and look like dish water. The rice was just plain basmati which was also cold. There were 6 cubes of meat in each dish. The nan bread was stone cold and tasted awful . The poppadums' tasted of pure oil. I asked for my money back £30 for 2 dishes, but they refused and offered another meal........ would you have another meal from here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Delivery driver apologized it was late which I was fine with, but almost all of the food was overly salty , the onion bhaji was in 6 individual cooked pieces rather than large one that it states on the menu and the nann was over cooked half of it was solid. Overall not particularly happy with the meal as I was so thirsty afterwards due to major amount of salt in the meal and usually the food is of good quality.

The food itself tasted lovely however it was a little greasy and I don't mean the curry, the rice was greasy. There's no option to add on any sauces/dips for poppadoms and they don't come with any either. I would eat at the restaurant when lockdown is up but I wouldn't order takeaway.

Ok where do I start I placed the order for my Residential home For a Birthday Plus frontline staff Had a 20% Off All good food ordered !! So 20 mins before it should arrive I had the owner Basically saying the 20% was applicable even though it states so! And demanded the 20% back or no order Bearing in mind this is for frontline staff!! And more importantly a birthday that our Residents can’t go out! So I had no choice They were waiting and hungry I had to pay or no food So thank you for your support during this Pandemic But no you just took a chance to rip us off DO NOT ORDER

Missing items and awful food, not edible, I rang the restraunt he didn’t care that the food was apauling he just said “I will return the items I don’t know when but promise me I will ok”.

Excellent food but, due to current conditions of everyone staying at home, delivery was delayed. However, food was still hot and very tasty. Will continue to order from them as always.

I ordered at 5.30 for delivery at 7pm which got delayed until 7.30 - and then didn’t arrive until 8.30. Excuses were we were very busy. That’s really not the point. I accepted 7.30 but 8.30 was far too late and then had to heat up all the food again - so didn’t eat until 8.45l Food was average but too sloppy and not enough meat! . Nan bread was half the size of what I have had from other restaurants. All in all very disappointing. Have used them previously a couple of years back but not sure I will use again.

This was very poor compared to the last time we ordered from this restaurant.I. appreciate Saturday is a busy day, but we ordered at 6pm and were told the food would not be delivered until 7:20, which given we live a mile away is simply stupid. The food actually turned up at about 7:50 and was virtually cold. Suffice to say if we can’t rely on them to deliver on time we won’t be ordering from here again

The food was nice. The delivery and service was awful. Understanding it is a Saturday, and therefore busy, but having to wait 1h40min for food is unacceptable. After numerous phone calls of "it's 10 minutes away" it's disappointing knowing I won't be ordering from them again as the food was quite nice.

Good was great, a little cold like luke warm. And coke was out of date 31/1/20

The delivery was 45 minutes late and they didn't apologise for being late at all. They didn't have in stock the aubergine side dish that we ordered so called us to see if we wanted to change it. We changed it to an okra side dish and got only half a portion. The sag paneer had no paneer in it but had cheddar cheese sprinkled on the top. The madras was very salty and had no spice. The dahl was also very watery. Wasnt so happy with the experience, wouldn't recommend!

Quick delivery. ..quantities were skimpy on salad ..the food was way too salty ..the chicken biyarni and veg side curry was extremely salty .we also had chicken tika and onion bhaji were hard to swallow without a large drink to wash away the salt taste which left a horrible feeling in your mouth ...it's a shame that it was like that so won't be ordering again ..maybe just us but it felt like it was rushed and the lid of the salt had fell off into our food .!

Brilliant delivery man (which I tipped) but the curry was inedible, one of the worst curry’s I’ve ever had.... it was £40 of prison slop! Would love some kind of refund but I doubt I’ll get it! This is the first negative review I’ve ever left on any website in my life but I couldn’t let this slide!

Unfortunately this was probably the worst I've ever had from a takeaway - and I've had a lot!! The starter (chicken tikka) seemed made from processed chicken with some proprietary tikka additive. Pretty bland. The king prawn madras curry sauce was very thin and also pretty tasteless. There was a mint dip which was little more that mint flavoured water - dreadful!!. Papadoms also not great. The plain were tasteless and the spicy were burnt. I know these are troubled times but.... I can cook a better curry than the one I received - and wish I had!!!

Really nice food but the pottions are small my jalfrazy tub was half full. So if you want you moneys worth i would use just eat other indain take aways they do full tubs not half thanks

The food was late. Forgot drink (no redund) the marble sized onion bhaji was stone cold couldn't believe how small it was. The curry wasnt no better Luke warm rather chewy I'm very disappointed The only positive I have is the delivery guy was nice

Took almost 2 hours to come, was ment to be 35 to 40 mins, when it got here there was only one smashed poppadom, im sure the driver must av ate the rest. The man on the phone was elusive on answering any question regarding how long I feel was going to take roughly, and hung up on me halfway through talking and I've been polite the entire time

Was told delivery would come at 7pm on the app. Ended up calling at 7.30pm and was told that delivery had left 15 mins ago. Arrived at 7.40pm. Food was ok. Lacked strong flavours that I like from a curry and was also Luke warm.

Wrong order and 25 minutes late

This restaurant used to be really really good, what has happened! Veg Jalfrezi was tasteless, swimming in oil and actually tasted more like a Chinese dish. Even the Garlic Nan bread was poor, under-cooked and doughy

The food was really good however, I would have liked a prawn vindaloo ( which, unfortunately, was not on the menue) and perhaps a little hotter, this is what I am used to, but nice taste. Thank you Phil Evans

The food was okay. The saag paneer had no paneer but it appeared to be cheddar cheese. The samosas were veggie when I ordered meat. I definitely will not order again. Please don’t sell saag paneer when it has no paneer 🙄

Ordered onion bajiis and a Keema naan as part of my order and the bajiis were smaller than a 50p and burnt to a crisp. The naan was a garlic naan NOT a Keema, I called the restaurant and was treated very badly. It was as though I was being accused of lying and I said I have kept it all to one side you can come and look if you like. The guy on the end of the phone refused to accept that it was wrong and read my order back saying Keema naan and he said that I must have ordered a garlic naan, I told him you just read my order back and it doesn't say garlic naan does it? I made sure to not sound rude, but he was shouting at me down the phone, it wasn't until my other half asked if I'm okay that the guy said oh I will bring some new ones down for you and hung up on me. I have photos of the bajiis as evidence. I can't believe how bad their customer service was, I also asked for there to be no potato in the curries but there was potato in the rice even though it wasn't stated on the menu. I mentioned it to the guy who came with the new bajiis and he said I should have said I didn't want potato and I said I did and he didn't say anything else.

Driver knocked on the door with an order that wasn’t mine. Asked me if I still wanted it! No was the answer so he left without saying anything. Turned up 10 minutes later with my order, no explanation or apology. The plastic bag was leaking sauce everywhere and I now have a curry stain on the carpet outside the front door where he had put the bag down. Food was luke warm. I don’t usually complain but this is the second bad experience I’ve had with their ‘delivery service’. Always used to be good but definitely wont order from them again.

Hi We always deliver from you. However last night was the worst we’ve had from yourselves. I actually put my knife and fork down and didn’t eat it. The sauce was completely different from before it was supposed to be a masala slightly hot it had no spice was brown in colour and tasted of gravy. The naan is also normally light and fluffy last night it was stiff and seemed completely different to normal. Very tasteless! We were very disappointed

Lovely food great customer service will definitely use again

The curry was disgusting both and bryan had to throw the whole dinner in the bin. The only thing that was ok was the pakoras i please let me know what happens now as a waist of £54 and ruined a family get together.

Fabulous food, the delivery guy forgot our poppadoms so drove back to get them for us! We had to microwave the food as unfortunately it got cold while waiting for the poppadoms but it was absolutely delicious!

Awful! The worst Indian takeaway we’ve ever had. They didn’t have the lamb tikka we had ordered so substituted it for chicken, forgot to give us the dips we’d ordered (@75p each!!) the popadoms were soft, the curry dishes tasted unpleasant and it wasn’t even ready when my husband arrived to collect! On top of this, one of us is now suffering from a tummy upset, probably caused by the food. We will never use them again

I am so disappointed with this order and believe i am owed at the very least a partial refund, we ordered as believed that being very local to us we would recieve prompt service, unfortunately the driver admitted to driving out of area to another delivery, before delivering to us, even though we are 5 mins away. I paid more for a chicken tikka dish, but recieved the standard chicken, i expect to be contacted with regards to this order, as this service is not on, and shouldnt be associated to Just Eat if managed in this way

Really disappointed with the service received from Empire of India (EOI). The delivery man arrived with numerous items missing from the order, but tried to tell me that nothing was missing and tried to hide the receipt from me so that I couldn’t prove it. The delivery man was very reluctant to resolve the situation, so I told him to take the food and I would call EOI myself to resolve. I called and simply asked that we have a new order sent to us, however the gentleman I spoke to was rude, continuously talking over me, and then eventually hung up on me. When I called back, he was still trying to rush me off the phone but assured me that the food would arrive shortly. I called back 20 mins later as it had still not arrived (I live 5 mins away) - he first told me that he was packing up the food, then said that it was already with the driver, and then told me that the driver was at my house (all within 20 seconds), which was not true. When the food finally arrived, another 25 minutes later, the order was correct. The gentleman from EOI also sent me a grovelling apology text (I’m guessing to stop me from leaving this review). However, the chicken was slightly undercooked (luckily I realised this quickly and didn’t eat the rest), however I had eaten enough to have a poorly stomach for the rest of the evening. As a result, I will not be ordering from here again and don’t recommend that anyone else does either.
