Emperor Chinese in Gloucester

After I orders my food I noticed they had charged me 10 p for a bag , then when I got home home to eat it I couldn’t believe how burnt the mixed s/s balls were , they were that bad my wife and I struggled to cut into them . I wont

Ordered foods and ask amount plus 10p ! I asked for what and they said plastic bag fee ! I responded others takeaway places never charge so you gonna charge me tubs and containers then !!! Apart crazy plastic bag issues foods also so salty had to chuck away not good for your hart with salty foods !! Oh let know another issues they don’t accept credit cards only cash yeh dodgy tax fiddles !!!

This is a takeaway / collection only Chinese also cash only. I had the chicken chow mein. There were plenty of chicken, nice noodles, and just the right amount of sauce. The sauce was a little saity but still enjoyable.

One of the worst chinese takeaways I've ever had. The time of ordering to the time it came to the counter was barely 5 minutes. Ordered chicken fried rice, special house curry and chips. Given the delivery time it was probably all microwaved rather than cooked fresh which I prefer otherwise I could of brought a takeaway from a supermarket and popped it in the microwave and it would of been cheaper. Very poor I won't be using this takeaway again ended up throwing most of it away should of took it back for a refund.

To echo the pun in the title.. we had two takeaways from here ..one on New Yeas Eve and more recently. Thought it best to phone in advance and had no issues when we turned up. The food was very good as usual, and my wife( who is more fussy than me) tucked into it with enthusiasm. Would we go again-- hell yeah.

This place used to turn out some good takeaways, but its really slumped. Ordered 2 dishes tonight, a beef dish and a king prawn seet & sour. Got home took the lids off, and before you taste it you know its going to be lousy. The food has no colour, no freshness, no care in preparation, greasy and the beef very small amount and way too much fat on the meat part. Nothing redeeming at all with this, I will never buy from here again. Worst takeaway I have had for as long as I can remember.

Good value, decent grub, lovely staff. The only downside is the chips. Dried out and tasteless, like lumps of cardboard.

Had yet another great meal from Emperor, wide choice, great for all tastes. wouldn't go anywhere else locally

Obviously cooking for local taste of Gloucester. I found it ok but have had better Chinese takeaways.

I have been using this takeaway for 10 years at least and the consistency is spot on every time every dish we have is mouth watering I highly recommend the Peking chicken and crispy chilli beef. One down side is they do not deliver and I would rather collect than go anywhere else.

Had a lovely takeaway today. Second time and still very good quality, value and portion sizes. Customer service good. Wait time was zero. All round good experience. Thank you again.

This takeaway has been consistently good for years now and that speaks volumes. The staff on the desk are often bogged down with orders, special requests and questions but they never fail to get your order right each and every time. Sometimes you have to wait 15-20 minutes (at peak times) for your food but that's still quicker than other takeaways I've used and the quality and taste is NEVER compromised. My one 'criticism' is that they don't do Bang Bang Chicken...but nor do so many other takeaways and restaurants so I won't hold it against them! Keep up the good work.
