I've been using this kebab shop for over 25 years and have found the food is always great and so is the service. Would recommend to anyone wanting good priced and tasty kebabs and burgers

Disgusting called to let them know the doner meat tasted foul like it was old. No resolution couldn’t be bothered to argue and it is now in the bin and I’ve ordered a curry great.

Food very good, portions appropriate to the price. Every time I ordered, nothing was missing. The right place to eat well and quickly

Tonight I Ordered chicken Doner burger with all salad chilli sauce and garlic sauce the burger buns was a tad too small for the filling😋 best burger I reckon I have ever had😋 yum! Belly full!

I am a kebab expert. Get a chicken shish chips and salad. Extra white cabbage. A pot of chilli and a can of coke. You won’t find a better shish in London. Superb. Friendly. Consistent. A*

Horrible , overpriced and disgusting

Gone downhill quite a bit now. Still ok but quality is hit and miss - more miss than hit. Salads are still very nice as is the shish - the rest you might want to skip.

Right so I've been a customer here for over 4 years and I can say that the meat use to be very good before but now they've change it and the quality isn't as great. Little overpriced for the portion size And they only accept cash in store.

Not tasty anymore. I think they have changed their doner meat. No taste and very chewy like plastic. Don't waste your money. It's a shame cos they used to be the best in Croydon.

Emek Kebab is one of the longest & oldest Doner Kebab shops in the South London area. The staff are always very friendly & the service is fast. The food is really good & they have a vast menu to choose from. They are normally open till late at night and are well known in the area after most of the pubs shut. The shop is always kept neat and clean and all the staff are always chatting with you while your food is being prepared. Overall Emeks is good quality. 👍👌👏😁

Ordered on urber, however half the meal Missing, sadly Emeks refused to help only blaming Uber driver!! Asked could I come and collect it!!! So unhelpful Killed the meal Was a regular customer However Won’t use them again! Sad really for the price of sending missing Items they chose to blame driver I spend £25 most weekends Obviously don’t think they’ll be bothered but rather spend my money elsewhere

An order was placed for a kebab without the Pitta Bread due to an intolerance to the bread. The order arrived with breaded product/ Pitata So Emek, did not read the notes on the order. Contacted Emek by phone who couldn’t replace and couldn’t refund the order. They then proceeded to blame the customer that we should have made it clearer. I’m not sure how no pitta/ bread but extra pickles isn’t clear enough in the notes. The restaurant proceeded for a further 5 minutes to not understand our postcode the order came from. 10 minutes of call, we’re not getting much further. Advised the issue couldn’t be resolved as no delivery drivers to correct the error. We were then asked to make an order for a can of coke to deliver a replacement but couldn’t as the app didn’t allow it. Eventually the issue was resolved. By this point the chips were cold my partners kebab was cold. It was just ok a bit of s**t show to be honest! Advise- don’t order from this place online if you have any specific requirements or requests. The notes are not read on the order and you will be asked to travel 1.5 miles to collect your order. Takes away the point of ordering in in the first place really!

I've ordered via Uber Eats and specified to include cutlery with the food. I've asked the delivery guys abd also called the shop. The guy was rude and hang up the phone in my face when I've asked him how am I supposed to eat the food.

I've had a kebab from here twice within the last 2 weeks. I only went to Emek as my usual kebab shop was on holiday. Had DonIr Kebab. It was alright, nothing to write home about. I don't think I will use them again. The kebab did not have that kick which i get with my usual kebab shop.

Absolutely disgusting! Do not spend your money here, my kebab was over cooked and there was also a hair in my food, wasn’t fresh. Also ordered a large but it was definitely a small. End result ended up with me having food poisoning. NEVER AGAIN!!

Kebab not tasty at all, not worth the money! tiny bit of salad separately given even though I ordered a large kebab! I chose garlic and chilli sauce and only chilli sauce was put on so was spicy, instructions not followed. Disappointed chose the wrong kebab shop.

Chips soggy, chilli sauce was more of a tomato paste, didn't take card (but didn't tell us this until we ordered, we then had to go to a cash machine)

I wish I had taken a picture, the portion of my kebab was that tiny it was actually insulting, not enough to even feed my two year old, won't be ordering from there again. Sort it out.

Shocked at the portion we were given. Awful presentation. Sauces were not given separately. No salt on chips. No tissues or cutlery provided. Wrapped in paper only not in boxes. Won’t be ordering again.

I’ve ordered from here for years and never had a problem but lately is Worst sloppy kebab with tiny portions ! If you would like a real kebab go to the Smokey grill on green lane so much better and real nice Turks!

Possibly one of the best Kebab places in Thornton heath. In the evening it tends to be full of people. They do a lunchtime menu which is worth trying. Very tasty.

Very bad service. The short guy has a bad temper starts yelling at the customers. As if he is giving free food. I would never step inside such a takeaway ever. The guys behind the counter speak in their language staring at u. Such a horrible place.

Terrible size and presentation. Not what I expected. £12 for a little lamb kofte and oversized chips. Can get a better meal elsewhere for that price.

Ordered chicken skewered Kebabs. Flavour was very tasty and flavoursome. Wait time was only 10 minutes. Cooked from fresh. Staff were very professional. Highly recommend.

Never order from here again I've been going here for years even when they had the two shops. 4 times got it wrong with uber eats this time called me a lier then then after 10 min they agreed put chilli sauce over my food and gave me wrong food as well. Wouldn't let me speak to manager. Its a joke and there Customer service skills is a joke.

Disappointing. £7.10 for a "large" Donner kebab. Asked for large Donner and he said "shish?".... If you're hungry then perhaps look elsewhere. If you're on a diet then come here👍

Smallest portions ever. 2 boxes of just lamb doner meat nearly 12 £ . Size = small silver salat container

Called and ordered a large meat and chips for bloody £8.70 arrived to collect and the box felt fairly heavy as it was wrapped in paper I wanted to just get home and dig in only to find that they had three quarter filled the box with chips and the equivalent of a extra small kebab meat and a separate box of salad. I will not be coming back here again as the value for money is far for what I would consider fair. Covid times and these people are clearly taking the piss to account for lost earnings. Sad state of affairs!

Best kebab shop in the area and the reviews reflect this. Chilli sauce tastes home made which is a sign of a kebab shop. They seem to take a lot of call/delivery requests so again a good sign. Salad was fresh and chicken shish tender and tasty.

Amek's Jebab has been there for about 30years plus very good only one critisisim specially during this pandemic I think they should be wearing hygienic gloves.

The only problem is that they just get payment in cash.. But besides this. Is amazing!

Value for money is poor. Ordered a mixed kebab through ubereats which is normally £11 but had 50% off. What arrived was essentially a small kebab. Could have gone to my local and got much better value for money. Will not bother in future.

The best homemade Donner Kebab in London. The taste and quality of this is really impressive, not to mention their chilli sauce is the best in the U.K, that’s a guarantee. I’ve tried and tested almost all of the donner recommendations I’ve received but this place is still at the top of of my list 👏👏👏!⁣
