Always a great night especially when Greg is performing

I have to say this bar is good until the person playing the piano actually starts singing who can not sing for one... please note this is a piano bar and the piano bars I've been too you don't have the singing while playing a piano they just play the piano which is relaxing and u don't actually see the person normally playing it. I'll think twice about going here again they do tapas on the menu which is great if u want something light. I suggest only going here when the guy not on the piano as he can't sing and sounds like a strangled cat... I wish he just played the piano as its called a piano bar not a karaoke piano bar which is what it sounds like.

Elton’s Piano Bar Torquay is amazing tapas and piano bar, great lively atmosphere, tasty tapas and lovely wine! Definitely would return. Friendly & professional waiting staff and Alex on the piano is a pure talent, playing all the crowd pleasers! Thanks guys and gals! ❤️‍🔥

I was walking past one evening and was captivated by the guy on piano so I was listening to the music outside. And a lovely group of people said they love my style and invited me to join them at their table and I sat with them for half an hour had a sparkling water. Went to the toilet took this bomb selfie. And went to leave but then listened to another song from outside so went to come back in and someone who worked there said I wasn’t allowed in wearing what I was wearing….even though I’d already been in. Ironic really because if it’s named after Elton John I’m sure he wouldn’t be happy about it. I can’t help having immaculate style 🙄

All table service. Didn't like the glasses had a gin it was like drinking out of a pudding dish. Staff were friendly.

Did not try food. The atmosphere was excellent as well as service. Great for a night out.

First time here and a welcome addition to Torquay music scene. Maitre D was a little overbearing on arrival as we were instructed to sit while trying to locate some friends in waiting. Quickly resolved. Payment before goods in some instances, unusual but trending elsewhere too. The main attraction Piano Man, was very entertaining and receptive to requests. A great old singalong to many classics. It was a touch loud for conversation and catching up with friends but a jolly good spot when warmed up!

Absolutely fabulous visit! Popped in on the off chance on a Sunday evening and found the most attentive staff, a fantastic pianist that was more than happy to take requests along with yummy cocktails and food. Thank you ilyas and colleagues for a lovely relaxing couple of hours 🙂

Great cocktails and excellent drinks selection, fantastic staff who are very welcoming and serve drinks to your table. Greg Agar on the piano was amazing playing every kind of music that was requested and very witty. A must visit in Torquay.

Visited Torquay for valentine's day and next to our hotel was this bar. Amazing tasting cocktails and prepared rather quick! They do an offer of 2 for £12 between set times. We went to our comedy show and returned as the decor and service was really good! When we returned there was a piano player taking requests of songs old and new. He was truly amazing Greg I think his name was! Really made our night! 👏🏻 If I was to return I would definitely visit again! And the tapas menu looked great

Every time I'm there, it's perfect. This time we went for Valentine's Day and they bought in some vegan options especially which I was super pleased about. The service is impeccable, food is delicious, drinks are beautiful and Greg on the piano is absolutely amazing. Would go every week if I could! Eltons is a real gem and may it continue :) thank you for a wonderful night x

Our first time visiting Eltons Piano Cocktail lounge even though we've been to Torquay 6-7 times in the last few years. Wish we've visited on previous occasions. We only had drinks here but the service was amazing! Ordering at the table was great, drinks were coming quickly, extremely friendly staff, great music, what else could you ask for? If you're in Torquay this place is very highly recommended! We will definitely be back next time we are in Torquay!!!! Thank you to all the staff for working so hard, providing wonderful service and being super friendly!!!!

This is still Torquays best night out y if your over 30 or a couple then I would highly recommend it if your on a stag night or the sort of girl that thinks it's fine to dance on tables then this is not the place for you

We went here for my birthday! What a fabulous place. Incredible atmosphere, attentive staff, and lovely food. Wow!! We are going back for the New Year celebrations, we can't wait. We know it will be fun. The piano player adds that touch of magic. Join in the songs or just absorb the atmosphere. You couldn't want for more. Absolutely recommend.

Service is amazing, I've never been anywhere better! Atmosphere is number one, stunning interior, staff are attentive, friendly and very welcoming ! Best venue in Torquay !!

Good music. Good food. Drinks okay at £9.50 a drink. As soon as you drink them at a slow pace or sit enjoying the music without constantly ordering food or drink the staff approach and ask to settle the tab. Staff are friendly when you’re spending loads when you stop they want you to leave. Be warned!!

What a wonderful welcome ,service and selection of wine and food. We look forward to returning with a large group of guests. Great evening and entertainment.

Elton’s is one of my favourite places to visit on a night out. All of the staff are amazing and go above and beyond to make sure we’re always well looked after. The food is always great too. The vibe in this place is unreal! How fab to be able to drink cocktails whilst singing your heart out to the wonderful piano players music 👌

Very disappointing experience.. staff very pushy to sell. Atmosphere lacked and we ended up leaving soon as we had the drinks and food that we had ordered. The reviews don't match the experience we had this evening.

within 2 minutes of entering the venue we was all put off. a member of staff came over and asked my son for Id he's only 16 I was unaware it was 18+? I told the staff he's only 16 so was happy to leave he said no no he will be fine 🤔 felt really awkward after this....we ended up leaving!

Fantastic piano player, who played and sang his way through every request. Cocktails are the best selection I have seen but on the £££ side. Service promt.

Me and a friend came here for a few drinks. We decided that Elton’s would be a great idea for a few cocktails as i personally hasn’t been there before! We were welcomed in and quickly served which was great! After having 6 cocktails and older lady come over claiming to be the owner, she asked if we would like another drink, we decided not to and just wanted to let the drinks go down for 5-10 mins before departing. The old bint replied with “this is not a free cocktail bar to sit and watch piano, if you don’t get another drink you’ll have to leave”… we asked if we could stay for 5 mins minutes and she replied “I’m the owner and if I say you need to go then you need to go”… Very rude lady…seems like she wants customers to spend their money with out treating them fairly. Won’t be going back after that, once was enough…

A total shambles and a waste of time. Me and my friend decided we would go and have a few drinks, and we decided on Eltons. We were greeted and shown to our table, so far so good! But that's where it ends. After finishing up after approximately 6 drinks, and no more than 15 seconds after finishing the last, an old lady came to the table claiming to be the owner. She told us that we had to leave because we couldn't sit here all night watching the Pianist for free. (If we wanted to do that, we can see it from outside!) We mentioned that we would be leaving in 10 mins and just wanted to relax. Well, it was at this point that she decided to throw her toys out of the pram. " There are other paying customers wanting to use the table! " which was an odd statement to make considering there was nobody waiting at the door. And there the story ends, She made us leave the table after we just bought 6 drinks, cheers! There are plenty of other local bars and pubs in the area that offer much better value for money and customer service. Without the Pianist, it's just a glittery cocktail bar that lacks any superior quality. If this is the way you treat your customers, I can't imagine how you treat your staff (which were great, by the way!) AVOID.

Staff were lovely. Drinks mixed amazingly. However, the owner is out of control. I've see her shouting at and abusive staff. She serves tables herself and is extremely rude to customers. The owner was very rude to me and rude to my sister. One of the waitors had unfortunately missed a drink from our order, the owner cane over and shoved a card machine in our faves and wouldnt even let us try to discover what drinks were missing. We ended up buying two drinks we didn't need. The owners attitude and customer service completely ruined my night. I left alot earlier than I intended to. I'll come back if the owner ever changes, because the staff run that place amazingly, they'd be better off without her.

Went there last Saturday, customer service was awful was very rude and obnoxious. Drinks were tasteless and awful and 3rd drink I had purchased had a fly in it and they refused to do anything about it

Great food, great service, great food and drinks....perfect night out...

We dropped in for pre dinner cocktails, everyone was very friendly, the drinks were a bit on the sweet side and the music was way too loud for that time of night. Maybe consider starting quiet, getting loud then ramping it down again late.

Thanks for a wonderful night . When on Saturday night. Didn't book , I heard it gets very busy . We all got put in the VIP lounge. Lovely and cosy . TV to watch the man playing the piano . 🎹 staff is very friendly and helpful . Thanks 👏 😊 all for a brilliant time. Xx

The cocktails and service are exceptional. The musician was also so talented and really entertaining.

Richard was a fantastic host, checking on us regularly but discreetly so service was always quick but without interrupting our evening. Piano performance was great too, lovely atmosphere. We will be back

Rubbish cocktail- no alcohol, pushy staff, won’t be back

Can't say about food as we didn't eat here, however, drinks atmosphere and service amazing. We came after having dinner out and stayed the rest of the night! The pianist Greg is fabulous!! We are not local but if we were it would be a regular place for us to visit, the cocktails are lovely, really well made the atmosphere chilled, classy and friendly. Service is attentive and friendly but not in your face. Hubby stuck to the Guinness and said it was a good pint obviously well looked after. Thank you Richard especially

It was wonderful from the second we walked in. Richard our waiter gave us a table to accommodate my disability. The bar was quite busy but Richard was very attentive and warm. Our food was delicious and the Cocktails were great. Will definitely go again.

We make a point of visiting here each time we take a trip to Torquay......and we are never dissappointed. The live music is always top quality.....this time we were privileged to be entertained by Greg Agar, a truly talented musician who made the night great fun. Would highly recommend a visit of you are in the area. The cocktails and service are good too. 👌

The bramble cocktails are a 10/10, just like Richard - they might even be better than the girls from wellies

We love it here. The food is amazing. It is some of the best food we have eaten in a long time. We came for a birthday treat, and were so impressed.

Good food, excellent service and enjoyed the music.....

It's a nice place however it was quite noisy. The piano man sang beautifully and the song choices were fantastic.

Food was awful and the waiter was extremely rude with a very bad attitude. As for the entertainment that saved the evening from being a total shambles. If this is still open next xmas i will be shocked!

Fantastic venue!! We discovered this little gem on the way up to our hotel. With the sign for 2 4 £12 cocktails & a stunning classy black & gold decor how could we not pop in! We were shown to a table & given a fabulous packed menu. We were informed we could mix & match the cocktails with any on the 6 pages in the menu. On our last night we watched Greg Agar on piano, after I requested, he played Billy Joel Piano Man beautifully & didn’t mind that I was filming it to send for my brother. We visited twice on our holiday & we will definitely be back next year!

Tonight me and my partner visited to celebrate our 6 month anniversary. The food was amazing! Staff were very attentive! The entertainment was other worldly. All in all it would have been the perfect night. Due to the amazing service and wonderful atmosphere, we spent plenty and was dancing in our seat with the table beside us. Why the one star you ask? About 2 hours into our visit, shortly after our drinks were cleared, we were approached by a short woman with blonde hair claiming to be the owner of the establishment. It didn't matter to her that we had spent over £160 on food and drink. Since we didn't have anything in front of us at that time, she very rudely stated that we weren't welcome. Even though there was no queue at the door, her reasoning was that other people who would continue to buy drinks could have our table. In overview, our perfect night was ruined by a greedy owner kicking us out even though we had spent a significant amount of money with them. My advice? If you do attend for the amazing food and perfect drink selection or if its the 10/10 entertainment, take your time with your drinks since if there is nothing in front of you, they might throw you out. :)

Beat cocktails in the bay and the food was amazing

Visited this venue on a Saturday evening for the tapas, ended up having some cocktails too. Food and drinks were superb and so were the staff! Very friendly and welcoming. Great entertainment too. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area.

What a fantastic night out! Super talented pianist/singer in a great venue with superb atmosphere and amazing staff who couldn't do more for us. The service was incredible - never had an empty glass all night! We were a family group aged from 25 to 70 and we all had a night out we'll remember for a long time. Thank you soooo much!

Great night singing along to all the tunes, would definitely return. Table service was a little slow and drink prices are fairly high.

This place is class. Went in on a whim, just passing and could hear a guy called Greg Agar playing. Man... What an evening. He was taking requests and was absolutely incredible. Staff were on point as well, constantly keeping everyone topped up and getting drinks out to people within a minute or so. Never experienced such good entertainment in a bar before... Cannot recommend this place enough. If you go to one bar in. Torquay, honestly make it this one.

Took 2hrs to get my food and 30mins to even speak to the manager. Shocking service would not recommend this establishment!!

Lovely atmosphere, good service despite being short staffed. Food was absolutely delicious and good portions for tapas.

Great cocktails - both on selection and taste. Food was also excellent - delivered quickly. We were here for the live music - great selection of tunes covering Beatles to Bowie with Queen on the side

I had the pleasure of photographing a Birthday party here. The venue and music was so good, I vowed to come back for a meal. Last night I had the meal. No exaggeration, the ribs were the best I've ever had. All the food served was incredible. The music for the evening was from Greg Agar. His interactions and humour made the night that much better. If you're ever looking for an incredible performer for your event or wedding, Greg is the one! This is a hidden gem of a restaurant. 10/10!

Great cocktails... More towards the expensive side but the love music was amazing

Brilliant. Wanted something different for my other half's birthday surprise. Didn't know quite what to expect, including the menu but not disappointed in the slightest. Lovely atmosphere, excellent service and the food was superb with plenty of it. The added bonus was the resident pianist who came on at 8pm, just after we'd finished eating so we could join in. He was BRILLIANT. Wishing we could have stayed for longer but we will be back as live local.This type of venue is just what the bay needs. Thanks again for making our evening.

One star is too good! Was appalled to see male bar staff man handling a young female waitress, leaving her in tears. Arguments between staff were more entertaining than the piano man, but didn’t come out for soap opera entertainment. Drinks are over priced and slow to arrive, but considering the bar man looks like he’s drinking more than he’s serving I’m not surprised! Won’t be returning, had better expectations for an upmarket bar, but it is still in Torquay so I shouldn’t have been too surprised I suppose.

Busy bar, with comfortable seating, nice buzz and efficient friendly staff, cocktails were good too.

Great concept of Elton John. Even the bathrooms have golden wash basins!

Went on a Friday night. Place was packed. The singer/pianist was fabulous!! Sang all the right songs. His 80's meddley was amazing. Staff very friendly. You must go there!!

Amazing experience, the tapas dishes of which me and my party had 8 were all lovely except the ribs. The teriyaki sauce just tasted of salt, this made them completely inedible... and I normally have quite a hefty amount of salt with my food. The music was good, but at times it was so overpowering that maintaining a conversation was almost impossible. Not the worst thing, hence 4/5. These were my only criticisms of an otherwise lovely night out!

Had lunch there with my daughter and the food and service were really really good, every dish we had was wonderful and I especially recommend the patatas bravas which were as good as any I've had in Spain.

Actually had a really good time here one of the best nights I've had in a long time until this lady came over who said she owned it and told us to stop having fun. We was dancing and getting other people involved and she didn't like it. I think she wants this place to be a really sophisticated place for sophisticated people but that's just unrealistic. Just let people have a good time.

Had an amazing night here. Food was really great, (seriously good ribs). The music was fantastic and the atmosphere was relaxing and fun. I would really recommend this place.

Dropped into Eltons last night and ended up staying all night!! what a fabulous venue!! Great Energy, but not rowdy with the crowd and music was fabulous, Ed ( on piano) had a huge repetoire everyone loved it , Will definitely be going again. There is door control and it was very busy so would suggest if you want to get in .. go early!! Great decor and staff were fabulous!! Look forward to going again in the not too distant future!!
