Elliott’s Coffee Shop in Waverley

Interesting that the last review was nearly a year ago and mentioned a relaxed atmosphere . Sadly not the case yesterday. The average age of customers was about 65. It was 10 in the morning. There was a young male behind the counter in his 30s singing along at some points to the music playing which was loud and suitable for a club for young people on a Friday night. It’s a gripe I sadly have to make too often about a cafe, restaurant or pub. In the hospitality industry music has to set the ambience for the time of day and the customers you will get then. The coffee was good.

Popped in for a quick coffee and ended up staying for 3 hours. Lovely place with relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, amazing food and coffee.

Lovely small cafe located on a village green, perfect for a cup of coffee and a slice of cake. There are some indoor and outdoor seating spaces available but the cafe was quite busy when we were there so you may want to book a table.

I stopped off to grab a coffee after a 45min early morning journey to visit Youngs - the local (excellent) butchers for copious quantities of their lovely Chiddingfold Porker sausages. Feeling like a breakfast coffee, I nipped into Elliotts & also ordered what seemed like a fairly expensive ham & cheese toastie. However, when it arrived it was magnificent. Loads of tasty ham, generous amounts of cheese and a layer of crispy toasted cheese on top too. Delicious. It could only have been improved with some wholegrain mustard & a salad garnish - both of which I didn't notice were on the menu until I'd finished. Next time then. All in all, Elliotts is well worth a pitstop.

I had a great pitstop lunch with my dog whilst working nearby in a farm. I arrived in wellies with my dog & was welcomed to sit indoors. The staff were really friendly & helpful as were the other cafe guests who chatted to us. I found the crunchy nut cake & the scotch egg was particularly delicious. I want to get the recipe next time I visit as its quite a unique taste.

Amazing find in this small village. We only wanted a drink, but were warmly welcomed and the mocha was good. Some outdoor seating and plenty indoors. It was doing reasonable business for a mid week afternoon. Parking is on the road by the Green.

Simply the best coffee. After living in Bristol for a few years my partner and I got used to the super high standards of coffee they have there, so we're very pleased to have found Elliott's Coffee Shop. The coffee is just amazing. It's the only place we go where we know it will be absolutely perfect every single time. We always like to support independent places too, so Elliott's just a win win for us. Everyone there is super friendly too, and It's in a beautiful location - not super close for us but worth the trip! Can't recommend highly enough!

Popped in for a little treat and enjoyed delicous cakes outside in the sunshine! Highly recommend the coffee cake and the millionare flapjack!

We love a cortado and not many coffee shops have them. We were fortunate enough to stop here en route to Goodwood. The best cortado we have had so far, very friendly service. Excellent

If you need a pick me up in the form of caffeine and smiling faces…Elliot’s is the place. The coffee is always made with care and the cake selection will test your will power to the maximum.

Stopped here during a long cycle ride for tea and cake. Very good. Prompt, friendly service. Cannot think of anything I would want to see changed.

What a lovely place! Met my old school friend and we went into this super clean pretty dog friendly cafe. Coffee was delicious and we ended up with cake as well. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Lovely decor and would 100% recommend.

We used Elliot’s regularly whilst in Chiddingfold. It’s a lovely little coffee shop. The sausage rolls are delicious, but often run out as a locals favourite. A definite recommend if passing through.

Lovely sandwiches and yummy cakes. Friendly and attentive staff who provided blankets as we had to sit outside initially but were soon moved inside.

Absolutely first class service. We arrived late in the day and were greeted by a remarkably helpful and friendly chap who was everything you could wish for when hungry and tired. We had lovely ham and cheese toasties. Well done and thank you; I hope you have great success in your business, you deserve it.

Elliots is a new incarnation of a previous coffee shop and the new owners have transformed the previous rather drab interior into a modern bright inviting one. Great coffee and selection of cakes which you can take on the Green to have. There’s very limited seating outside the place itself and likewise inside (although this may be currently discouraged due to the Coronavirus).
