Fabulous tearoom but the menu is mainly sandwiches and cakes , no hot food was available that I could see. Great hospitality though in a great setting.

Very interesting afternoon of readings and yummy food! Psychics/Mediums we had gave some brilliant readings that had most of us in tears. Food was beautiful as always and the tea pot that was filled with real leaf tea was refilled the second we'd emptied it! Cant wait for the next one!

I like the idea of this place and it has real potential but it’s certainly not fulfilling it!! first thing that struck me was the awful smell (a cross between unkempt home, mould and cat urine) I struggled to stay in there because of the smell! Each table is loving laid out with a unique tea set which are each beautiful but then the area around looks like a dumping ground for a charity shop making the place overly cluttered and chaotic. The clear glass fridge also had some questionable things in Tupperware which if all the other things hadn’t put me off eating here that certainly would have. The staff seem very nice but I don’t understand how there have been so many favourable reviews! We did stay to eat because the smell itself made me nauseous but I don’t think I would have trust the hygiene standards based on my surroundings. I hate to give bad reviews but I honestly believe this place has so much potential.

Myself and my partner visited for a Cheese Afternoon Tea this afternoon, it was fabulous! Every bit of it was perfect from the cheese to the surroundings to the lovely ladies that served us :) Even managed to pick up a cute new biscuit tin! Thank you so much, we'll definitely be back!

Came here a few weeks ago with friends, cannot fault it in the slightest, I've been to loads of others for afternoon tea and always come back. Sandwiches are freshly made to your own choice so dried out bread as I've had at others and then choice of cake and scones too. Lynn the owner is lovely , friendly and helpful.. If you are ever in the area its definitely worth a visit, a true hidden gem .

I went here today with 3 friends and what a treat.From the moment you walk through the door you feel special. We had afternoon tea and boy what a delight. Sandwiches freshly made to order with your choice of fillings .Then you choose which cakes you would like.and all those little extras make this place a right little gem of a place. Will definitely be returning Lynn was awesome so friendly.Cakes second to none.Iv been quite a few places for afternoon tea this year and this as to be my number 1.Give it a go ,you wont be disappointed.

An amazing tea room. We found this by accident and very glad we did. Tables all set up with proper china plates, tea cups, coffee and tea pots. All very pretty. The afternoon tea looked fantastic, huge pieces of cake. We had scones which were homemade and delicious.Staff were friendly and the uniform was brilliant.Thoroughly recommend

Went for my baby shower Cost £200 The young girls are busy trying there hardest but the lady that seams to be the owner is rude and ignorant. No atmosphere in the place ! Even the other customers in there sort of sat in silence. One member of our party didn’t make it after paying her deposit , for the “ owner “ to say well you ,l be paying , but then we had to ask for the food we had paid for

Was treated to an early Mother’s Day afternoon tea with my daughter in law. Tea room is lovely and quaint. We wanted a vegetarian option and no mayo as my DIL is pregnant. We were offered a fantastic choice of sandwiches, as well as crisps, pistachios and houmous with carrot sticks and a homemade vegetarian sausage roll. Large choice of scones and cake too. Best afternoon tea as far as I’m concerned.

We have just had my daughter in laws baby shower at this lovely intimate tea room. All tastes and needs are catered for and the food is really delicious. The afternoon teas are served on lovely china. Nothing was too much trouble, Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon. I can recommend highly.

Went for a Christmas get together with family and after reading reviews on tripadvisor, we were all really looking forward to it.

Is this mad hatter and Alice and antique shop and cucumber sandwiches and the fantastic tea shop of Edwardian dreams? Combined and confused and re-assembled? Who cares? It is fun with porcelain and proper tea and scones and cakes. I found it by chance, there was street parking by chance available and then this little unassuming alley that led me, totally unsuspecting to this cornucopia of decorated porcelain, tables aplenty and s pretty good tea and cake experience. The space is full of colour and set for as many mad hatter tea parties as you could conjure up. It does look as if that is at the expense of a good kitchen space and a really excellent selection of cakes. This is all about appearance and style and show. It still delivers well on tea and cake but not impressively so. Definitely worth a visit and recommended.

Visited several times and can honestly say it’s the best tea rooms around. Staff are lovely and happy to help and the food is delicious and you even have the opportunity to browse the vintage items that are available to buy

Just had another amazing afternoon tea here that's why I return time after time. The staff are so helpful the atmosphere is so charming and the food is always so fresh. The gin is good too ! Already booked in again for early December.

Ellen Louisa's Vintage Tea Room is an absolute delight! All the cakes are delicious and home-made (so many places buy them in and try to pass them off as home-made!!), the sandwiches are fresh with a fabulous choice of fillings, and the staff are always warm, helpful and welcoming. They also do fabulous themed parties and special events with great attention to detail, plus you can pick up some lovely vintage bargains from the selection of items for sale ; hats, gloves, jewellery and wonderful tea-sets, cake stands and homeware. I would highly recommend this Tea-room in every respect.

My friend and I went for the first time today and will definitely be back. Despite the warm weather there was a fan right next to the table which made it lovely and cool. The sandwich fillings were lovely, particularly the chutney that was in the cheese, I had the lemon curd cake which was light and zingy, delicious ! Thank you to Lynn for an enjoyable afternoon.

We ran to book in advance as we had two wheelchair users in our group. This was a "afternoon tea" but in the actually in the morning and so it was not busy when we visited. The owner tried to ordered us to place wheelchairs where she wanted them and not where the wheel hair users wanted to sit. Not once did she speak to the wheelchair users direct but only the people helping them. Very rude! If there had been access problems or the place been heaving with customers it might have made more sense but it wasn't.

I came with my family for my birthday. The owner made me a gorgeous cake with fresh strawberries. They do champagne by the glass which is brilliant as most places only do prosecco. The sandwiches were lovely and fresh and you could choose your own filling. The room is very pretty with lots of vintage china, linen and bunting.

Absolutely fantastic little tea room x full of vintage treasures x afternoon tea was amazing and plentiful x staff very helpful and looked after us well will highly recommend x

A beautiful treat, very welcoming and very excited about our return visit soon! We were short on time so nipped in for elevensies tea, fresh warm scones, lovely fresh artisan bread sandwiches with a great selection of fillings - nothing was too much trouble and we immediately felt at home. We look forward to spending more time enjoying the ambience next time.

I visited here on yesterday (14th April) with 3 friends for a good chat and catch up in a lovely atmosphere with great food as always. Love that there is such a selection of choice for sandwich fillings, cake slices, scones and endless tea or coffee. Such good value for money! We will visit for another catch up soon. Chatted to the owner, who is lovely, nothing was too much trouble for her and her team. Thanks to you all.

Super easy to book. All done via Facebook messenger. I advised I had my heavily pregnant friend with me, accommodations were made to make her feel comfortable. Food is great. Unlimited tea. Fantastic choices. Great atmosphere and service with a smile. You can also buy cute cup and saucer sets too. What more could you want?

I have been a long standing customer and wanted to share this hidden gem with more people!

As soon as we arrived for Mothers Day Afternoon Tea, it was clear they had massively overbooked. They stuck our table in the front doorway, and the table wasn't even ready when we arrived. My mother (who was on crutches) had to stand and wait until they had finished setting it up.

The room was far too full. One of our party had to keep getting out of their seat, each time being asked to by the staff who were otherwise unable to move between the tables. They even squeezed another table in by the door to make matters worse after we’d been seated. We didn’t complain at the time, but the owner was rude from the start and apparently shocked that we didn’t tip (although we discreetly tipped the waitress, as it wasn’t her fault). The sandwiches and other savoury items weren’t very nice and obviously made with cheap ingredients.

Just spent a lovely, lazy couple of hours drinking tea and sampling the amazing food. Thank you very much, your vintage tearoom is enchanting and full of wonderful items to explore too! 🍰🎈🙏

I was treated to afternoon tea for a birthday treat. It was a lovely place. There was a choice of sandwiches and the delicious cakes. We had to finish with a Babysham with a cherry. Super time. Thanks Lynn

My wife & popped in for a quick coffee and I found it to be a gem of a place, well worth the visit and will definitely come back for the afternoon teas. It’s also licensed too. Lovely quaint vintage tea room!

I have been coming here for many years and I can honestly say nothing has changed it’s still wonderful. The food, the place and the owner Lynn and the ambiance are just perfect

Lovely little place. Beautiful relaxed environment. Food and cake were delicious with a great range to choose from. We were really looked after and the price was extremely reasonable. Would highly recommend.

I have been meaning to review this place for a while, i have visited many times with family and friends and never been disappointed, the afternoon tea is well presented and yummy and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is excellent value for money and the surroundingsare very quirky, they cater really nicely for children also. I would hihgly recommend.

What a lovely place to visit. I was lucky enough to be introduced to this little gem of a tea room as a birthday treat. We sat and chatted for a few hours with no pressure to move on and no one bothered us only to ask if we wanted more tea.

Had a lovely time with with around 40 friends, mainly dressed in vintage wear as is encouraged by the tea rooms.

Visited with a group of about 40 friends. The place is very pretty with different tea sets on each table. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon eating sandwiches, scones and cake with unlimited tea or coffee. Tea was great, loose leaf poured through a strainer. My husband who only drinks coffee said that the coffee was very nice. The bread was lovely and fresh. The scones and cake were delicious. A really nice place to visit. Will definitely go again.

We wanted to find somewhere for a cup of tea, chat and a tasty treat with a girlfriend in Burbage and this impromptu drop in was the perfect location.

We booked a party here for my mum's 70th birthday. Nothing was too much trouble from the moment we booked - we even popped in to sample the afternoon tea and were able to personalise our choices of cake slices or Nellie's little bites. We changed all of the afternoon teas to Nellies little bites and WOW what delicious cakes and they are not so little!!!!!

The place is very charming and everything was clean (a big plus)

Visited here yesterday with family and it was lovely! The owner was lovely and friendly. Service was great. Our tea and coffee was kept topped up through out. I think it's great that you can choose your sandwiches and fillings. All made fresh to order. The scones and cake were beautiful and made by the owner we had white chocolate and cranberry scones. We also enjoyed the coleslaw, crisps, jam and butter that came with the tea.

Went to a butlers in the buff night here on the 9th December, and it was appalling! I originally reviewed this on their Facebook page but it appears to have been deleted & they only like people to see positive feedback.. We received very poor service, the lady who owns it was rude. We paid £20 for a meal and entertainment .. the meal consisted of lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber and slithers of peppers plus a slice of turkey! The entertainment was a singer who left at 9pm and was replaced with a CD! When complaints were made the owner didn't take them on board, argued with the customers and turned the CD up! Half the customers left at 915 and went the pub...!

My daughter has just visited for a birthday tea with her friends. She came home raving about her time there. Cakes and scones were "exquisite". Service was quick and everything arrived at the same time. The staff were very friendly, "explaining all the options available, without us having to even look through the menu". A lovely visit. Went for the Butler in the buff night with a group of girls, however it was very disappointing , it was very disorganised and the food was really poor for the money , we got a basket of bread a plate of salad and a tea plate of turkey between 5 of us.

My friend and I went for afternoon tea . (I've been twice now ) . The tea room is so lovely decked out with beautiful China tea service . The staff were so nice and welcoming . Nothing is to much trouble . The sandwiches and cakes were fab . This is a little gem . If you love afternoon tea it's well worth a visit

So we ventured to this little tea room for a spot of the good stuff after hearing through a friend i was good. We turned up to a lovely place full of random items for sale and a twist of the 1940's throughout. Each table looked brilliant with matching tea sets.....this set a very good scene.

Nostalgic, stylish, traditional, individual, scrumptious in equal measures.

If you are looking for a touch of nostalgia, lovely food and great service this is the place to go for your afternoon tea. Set with beautiful themed china specifically for each individual table, the teas are priced to suit your taste and pocket, locally baked bread, home made cakes and scones and a variety of blends of tea or coffee. Background music unobtrusive but definitely nostalgic and service with a smile. You even have chance to purchase some of the lovely items on display. Well worth a visit!

Really enjoyed the experience. Scrummy home-made cake, lovely hot tea served on a truly vintage tea set, which was colour co-ordinated. Service with a smile. What more could you ask.

Very nice experience all round, staff were very welcoming and service good, also choice of food/cakes excellent! Only two things that they need to change to make them more competitive is to be able to pay by card and free top-ups on drinks, tea and coffee pots, otherwise all good

Me and my friend came to this tea shop to have an afternoon tea with possibility to book this place for a party.. The owner served our food and tea, but when we asked about hiring the room ,we have felt she does not really want our business, she was more interested in couple who were dressed in 1940's and just browsing, then in giving excellent customer service. We even had to wrap our left over cake in serviette by ourself and the owner could not wait to get us out of the door .

Came here for an afternoon tea with family to celebrate my birthday we all had the luxury afternoon tea which was delicious! And my son had the children's smaller appetites afternoon tea (also delicious he ate the lot).

A step back in time - quirky decor, friendly old fashioned service and a delicious afternoon tea served off vintage crockery. We enjoyed sandwiches, scones and cake with lashings of tea and coffee - all of a very high standard. Most of the tables were full, deservedly so, with the clientele ranging from our table of 12 celebrating the 90th birthday of a family friend to a table of 4 smartly dressed early teenage girls. The visit left us all with the feeling that, no, society isn't going to hell in a handcart!

What a great nostalgic place. Fantastic afternoon tea at a great price. Forget your posh country house hotel and step back in time for a real vintage afternoon. Food all homemade, fantastic cakes and scones, freshly prepared sandwiches. Also spent time browsing the gift selection. Would highly recomend.

What a lovely way to spend an afternoon!!! Stepping back in time with a lovely selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones served with a cup of tea the old fashioned way!!! Lots to look at and take in and all at a very good price ....well worth a visit and we will be back.

Met by 2 very friendly members of staff. Seated immediately. We had the options explained to us and everything was then prepared on an individual basis. Sandwich choices were good and I chose salmon . Very tasty. Fruit scone and lemon drizzle cake. All very nice. Would recommend and would love to go again .

Wonderful place to stop for tea and cake vintage style, old style tea done the best way!! Fab chocolate cake, highly recommended

A gorgeous tea room with great service. They were fantastic with my child, and you can even have a bespoke cake stand made. Reasonable prices and a treasure trove of items to purchase. We'll be back

Love this place. Afternoon tea is fab! The bread for the sandwiches is delicious. Cakes are scrummy. The place has been done beautifully with each table having its own theme. They also have vintage clothing, jewellery etc for sale. Keep an eye out for the occasional evening theme night too which often have a singer or other entertainment . Take your mum for afternoon tea and earn brownie points !

What a delight. Nothing is to much effort for the lovely ladies in this tea room. On booking we mentioned one of the party was gluten free and were gluten free and the owner prepared a special gluten free trifle and scone. All the food (Gluten free and normal) was delicious. Excellent, friendly service and a really nice atmosphere. Plus lots to look at whilst you dine. Cannot wait for another visit.

My daughters and granddaughter took me here on Mothers Day.

Absolutely DISGUSTED With this place! Arrived here to treat my mum and sister for Mother's Day and the service I got was not great.

My 2 daughters took me here today along with my granddaughter for a surprise Mothers Day Lunch.
