Elif Su Patisserie in Craven

Very poor afternoon tea, firstly the place has changed it's name. The afternoon tea was the most basic I have ever experienced. Plain and boring sandwiches and the desserts were literally a quarter of an Almond slice, a quarter of a chocolate brownie and a quarter of a slice of lemon cake each. They were no bigger than 1 bite big. Scones were fine but a very small portion of cream. Also we expected this to be a Turkish afternoon tea as advertised but it wasn't. Very disappointed and not worth the money. Probably cost them £3 in total to make for poor quality afternoon tea.

Firstly it is now called The Swadford Lounge. We went for afternoon tea. The tea was suberb the service was perfect professional and beautifully mannered. The tea itself was a selection of white and granary sandwiches, egg mayonnaise, ham, tuna mayonnaise and cheese and pickle. A centre plate of fresh fruited scones, butter, raspberry conserve and clotted cream. A top plate of mouthwatering bakewell tart, chocolate brownie and lemon drizzle mouth sized cakes. All served on china plate wear. A complimentary individual bottle of prosecco each on arrival was a lovely surprise.

Sadly very disappointed our white bread had mould on the ham sandwich. This was extremely of putting when we had already eaten one of them. The scones were stale and we just couldn’t face the Turkish cakes on the top plate. On the plus side we had a lovely waitress and the unlimited tea on the groupon deal was extremely good. This said we shall not be returning.

We attended yesterday (23rd) and were greeted by the loveliest lady. She was so welcoming and pleasant. Her establishment was immaculate and friendly. The food was amazing, the freshest bread and tastiest scones and the selection and taste of genuine turkish delights was immense and the hot chocolate was done to perfection! Highly recommend, we will go back again

We visited with friends and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, drinks were priced very reasonably and our server was friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend to others

I found an offer on Groupon for Afternoon Tea for this place. I booked it as a surprise for my parents. We had a lovely time. The afternoon tea was well presented, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. You can have unlimited soft drink, tea, coffee or hot choc with the deal. She was very accommodating in providing crockery for a third person. The Turkish sweets were lovely. When trying to locate Elif Su Patisserie you need to find The Swadford Lounge. It operates within there, which was a little confusing at first. Highly recommended.

Had afternoon tea it was lovely, as much tea and coffee as you like. Service was great upgraded with prosecco. All in all a wonderful day. Would recommend for value for money and lovely food and lovely staff

We had a Groupon voucher from my daughter for my birthday. We have a confirmed booking for tomorrow (Tuesday 28 June) however when I was looking up directions I noticed that the restaurant is closed Mondays and TUESDAYS!!! Neither the restaurant nor Groupon has contacted me to let us know that openings hours have changed which I assume assume is under the 'new management'! Disgusting as I have been informed that the new owners don't do Groupon. Thanks for letting us know brilliant customer service NOT!!!

New management and now called The Swadford Lounge, they are really passionate about their food, drinks and service, still do patisserie style food, but also savoury food, great coffee, tea, they have a range of real ale too, but we didn't try this. The service is outstanding, and they are happy to talk about items if you are not sure of the contents, or haven't had a dish before.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Skipton & experiencing a lovely afternoon tea for two at this cafe. Our host, Shannon, was friendly & accomodating & keen to ensure our visit was enjoyable. We were offered umlimited drinks & both the tea & coffee were very good. I'd highly recommend popping in here for refreshments.

We visited for afternoon tea with a Groupon voucher. As soon as we entered we were warmly greeted and our table was reserved for us, set with lovely China crockery. The service was warm and attentive but not intrusive. A lovely touch was explaining what was on our afternoon tea, as it included the usual sandwiches and scones but more unusual Turkish treats. We had unlimited tea and didn't feel rushed, we enjoyed the lovely ambiance of the cafe. On leaving we chatted to one of the owners, commending him on the excellent service delivered by all the staff and assured him that the next time we visit Skipton we will be calling in. Keep up the good work.

Had afternoon tea there last week. Really good, thoroughly enjoyed it and the cakes were a little different to the norm. Added a bottle of fizz for the perfect afternoon with old friends. Enjoyed it so much we went back for coffee the next day. We will certainly be back next time we are in Skipton.

Delicious afternoon tea with traditional sandwiches and scones and the addition of beautiful Turkish sweet treats. Excellent value for money, nice ambience, very friendly host. Would highly recommend.

Went with three girlfriends and had afternoon tea there using a groupon. Warm friendly chatty lady served us, very good service. Lovely afternoon tea, a bit more interesting than most using Turkish cakes. Upgraded and bought a bottle of fizz, absolute bargain price at £12. Returned the following morning for coffee, welcomed back as if we went every day. Thoroughly recommend.

My partner and I had the Groupon for the afternoon tea and we were not disappointed, well worth it even at full price. Very friendly host who took the time to chat and make us feel welcome. The pastries were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. We certainly will be returning. Michael and Jeanette.

We were shopping in Skipton and called for an afternoon tea at this patisserie which is on Swadford Street, almost opposite the Boyes department store. Right from the moment we opened the door to enter we were made most welcome. The Staff were very open...

Called in this morning on way from home to Easingwold. Warm welcome excellent coffees & lovely pastries call in it’s opposite Boyes, you won’t be disappointed.

A proper turkish coffee, and a proper turkish desserts definitely recommend it ,different selection of turkish delights all of them worth trying absolutely delicious

My husband ordered the afternoon tea to be delivered for my birthday and what can I say, it was amazing!!!! Delivered to the house at the time they stated (we were isolating so this was all contact free and they were very understanding of this)....

I purchased Turkish sweets and cakes. The owner was very welcoming and showed me a range of lovely sweets. He allowed me to taste the produce before buying and added a couple of freebies.

Lovley shop with a great selections of cakes,coffee,tea,sweet and loads more. definitely worth a visit. they do take aways aswell.
