Elgol Bistro in Highland

Lovely meal at bistro and custom was good.would deffo come back.drive over Torrin to elgol stunning in the great weather we are having.

We had a wonderful meal of haddock and chips followed by rhubarb and apple crumble with ice cream. Also tried the Scottish cider. Delicious food and friendly informative staff.

A glorious evening so we sat outside and had a wonderful visit. Our food was fresh, delicious and well presented. The staff were attentive and happy to chat. This is quite simply a fabulous place. Very highly rated. If you’re not in Elgol, it’s well worth the trip. We will definitely return.

Donald very kindly offered us a Xmas dinner at his gorgeous bistro on the 20th December. The restaurant would normally be shut over the winter season as it is so remote. His Cullen Skink was outstanding as was our delicious xmas dinner finished off with homemade treacle pudding! Delicious food and such friendly welcoming hosts. We will be back! Very nice little place with very friendly owner Donald ! We were happely surprised by the excellent food we could eat 2 evenings after another and felt very welcomed and pampered.

Stayed at a nearby B&B, so ate dinner here. Had fish and chips, which was lovely, and the best dessert I’ve had this holiday. Small place, so need to book. Unfortunately, not open on a Sunday or Monday.

Great food really nice atmosphere. Cosy and nice inside. Had the burger which was yummy and the soup was delicious. Went back because it was so good.

Recently opened, good place to eat in Elgol. We tried the burger and the chicken curry and they were both good. Indoor and outdoor tables, with very scenic surroundings.

This gem of a bistro had a cosy but beautifully executed design that made you feel it had warmth but modern and private. This lovely place had a fantastic ambience and we were lucky to get a booking as the staff take great care to welcome guests and settle them to enjoying their Fantastic Scottish hospitality. The food was tasty with a menu that wasn’t overly complicated but perfectly made. The homemade breaded mushrooms were so good! Although they don’t have dogs inside we couldn’t help getting our dog in the photos outside. It’s a must visit for anyone wandering Skye!

A new venture and a much needed family restaurant in Elgol. Very nice décor and atmosphere. Welcoming and super service. Pop in and try it.

Recently opened, a really nice little bistro which serves hearty food and delicious whiskies. Very handy for anyone going to Elgol to take a boat trip or to enjoy the spectacular scenery of this part of Skye. The manager Donald is friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is great and the place clean and bright.

Holidaying in Elgol, just one of the many stunning locations on the Isle of skye. With Broadford being 30 minutes away on fun filled single track road we were delighted to find the Elgol Bistro only a couple of miles from our accommodation. Such a warm welcome from the staff and the food was excellent. Plates were bulging with good hearty food , highlights were the Cullen Skink Soup, Venison casserole and rhubarb crumble, however, the other meals we tried over our 3 visits did not disappoint in any way. One final bit of advice, try go on an empty belly as you certainly won't leave with an empty one.

So glad we found this place, only open 7 weeks. Delicious food, very pleasant owner and staff. Spectacular scenery on the way there, a definite must visit when on Skye.

Excellent food, if your looking for a good basic easy meal this is the place to go, very inviting, food is well cooked and plenty of it. Service is excellent, lovely welcome by the owner and quickly seated. Enjoyed our starter and main course. Would recommend this lovely Bistro if your having a day in Elgol try it out.
