Elaha Indian Restaurant in Merton

We ordered from here on Deliveroo and the food came on time but we were very disappointed on trying the curries we ordered to find that they were sickly sweet and off flavoured to the point of being absolutely inedible. Don’t order from here, go to tooting instead.

Use to be very good food and deal for £17 but now quality is dropping so I don’t order as much it’s not as fresh as it use to be unfortunately

Ordered this takeaway but was very disappointed with food. We have used them for many years but on this occasion was very disappointed.

Honestly the best curry outside of Tooting. Food is incredible, not greasy, well proportioned, flavoursome and delivered promptly. Thank you for you hard work guys!

The food is the best curry iv had in the area, service always fantastic and the like I say can’t fault the food.

Food spillage all over the place - no taste to the curry. Would not recommend at all. The bag was full of spillage - spent £140 on the takeaway, the best part was the poppadom. Everything else was awful - such a shame, ruined a birthday dinner.

Found Elaha by chance on Uber eats and have never looked back in three years and don’t plan changing restaurants unless they shut down. Food is consistently good with many different dishes, always delivered piping hot and great value. The naan breads are really good. Best take away Indian by far.

Worse Food. I was tired today to cook myself so I went to Elaha Restaurant at Green Lane & brought Chicken Tikka Masala. I was hungry so served it with rice & find out it wasn’t CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA it was chicken pieces with sweet tomato sauce on it. I called them straight way & they say come tomorrow I will give you better one.

4th time ordering and its seriously delicious! Now moved half hour away but yes I'm definitely doing the drive because nothing else matches! Great food and good value for money ;)

They used to be lovely in there. Staff were polite, and the food was lovely. I’m not sure if the guy has changed, but the man at the front desk is a bore now, I used to go in there every Halloween and say ‘Happy Halloween’, last two years he’s shouted at me and said ‘GET OUT OF HERE!’ So nowadays, be careful of the staff, they might bite.

Very happy with the food. We thought it was tasty with just a little heat. Nothing so strong that kills your palate. We thought we got plenty for the money. Happy yo go back.

The food arrived in plenty of time and was hot, and very tasty, we were a bit disappointed that the mushroom pilau rice had no mushrooms in it, I also found quite a big bone in my meat.

Nice taste to the madras curry and not too hot... Just right 😂😂😋

Best Indian takeaway in the area by far. Curries have a great thickness and flavour to them and they always deliver efficiently and have never had a bad meal here!

I've been well-fed this little local takeaway. My favourite dish is King Prawn Garlic Roshoni! It has lots of garlic slices and the taste is divine. I also love Chicken Tikka Dansack. If you like sweet curry dish, you can go for Chicken Tikka Nahar. They are well-prepared and quick to deliver. I'm so lucky to have such a lovely takeaway shop just nearby.

First time trying food here ordered for delivery came really quickly food was really nice received it hot missed mint sauce but that's the only thing I have to complain about will definitely use again and recommend to everyone who asks me.

We ordered from here as we have just moved into the area, and the reviews were really high. The food was hot and on time, and we were really looking forward to eating it all! However it was a major let down to the taste buds and most of the curries tasted like they had bags of sugar poured in (saag paneer). The other curries we ordered (daal, veg curry, saag aloo, chana bhaji) were all very very bland and again incredibly sweet. The two stars are for the service and the naan as they were fine. Very disappointed!

No flavour, popadoms tasted of rancid fat, waste of money. Tried to charge more than just eat ordering direct. Dopiaza is an onion curry, not an onion insight. Danask supposed to be spicy, tasted like korma. Will not order again.

Ok the delivery was fast and the service was good but the curry was truely minging. I cant even finish it. That says a lot because i am not a fussy person at all. What is the poing of making a spinach curry that is sweeter then most desserts. This really ruined my evening

First time I have to say it wasnt up to scratch having used them for 5 years a bit disappointed.

Saag paneer is sugar paneer. Mushroom sabji has no masala, has only water. Bad service. Food was cold when it arrived. Never ordering again.

Very happy the biryani was made just perfect after i stated it not to be too oily will be ordering again :)

My curry was very watery and flavourless Our starter had no flavour and food was warm not hot

Nice Indian food. Very polite owner. I would recommend this place if you want to taste Indian food.

Service was good but my madras was literally coloured water with chicken in it. The rest of the food was okay but that really ruined it for me, only ate a sixth of my actual curry.

Food was great and came early. Although, I ordered 2 garlic naan breads and only got 1. The lamb Rogan josh could have done with a little more meat too but otherwise great food and would order again.

Nice crispy veg samosas. Chicken tikka masala had plentiful tender chicken, a good colour to the sauce (without looking overly dyed) and the sauce had a nice flavour and texture without being too sweet. The chilli chana was a little too spicy for me so I’d probably order the non spicy version next time but the flavour was there and the ingredients seemed fresh.

Amazing curry!!! 😍 was told it’ll be with me in 45 mins and came in 25, curry, rice and naan was absolutely beautiful. It was my first time here and well now be regulars.

Awful curry. Cold food, and chewy chicken. Not enjoyed at all. Infact most went in the bin. Only nice and hot dish was the rice. Even the bread tasted like it was too many days old!

Tasty and sizeable portions. The packaging was a bit weak so it had leaked a bit but better than using single use plastic!

We collected the food as the restaurant is only a 5 minute walk from our house. When we got home and emptied the bag, discovered one item was missing, pilau rice. Phoned them and was told to come back and collect it in person. Slightly disappointed as the meal wasn’t ready as expected so will try a different restaurant next time and let them deliver.

Food was really good loved the phall curry it had a nice kick to it. Only downside was getting poppodoms instead of the nann bread i ordered.. apart from that little mistake i was happy.. will try again

I ordered form here twice the last week and probably will keep ordering from there any time i don't feel like going out or cooking dinner.

The food lacked in flavour. Chicken was very bland. Onion bhajis crispy and hard. Ordered a yogurt and as the weather was hot they could have put in a separate bag but they put in with the hot food so had to throw away as gone off Wouldn’t buy from them again

Was as if they had a paste of curry and then had added hot water to warm it up and forgot to stir - will seriously not be “eating” from his place again (I say eating, but I tipped most of this down the sink - and the remains in the bin). I’ve given 4 star for service and 4 star for delivery time, but don’t let this fool you, the food would get 0 if possible

Was nice but too much leafy green salad more peppers and onion’s incorporated my only criticism.
