Vrushali was very good in understating and catering to the food services and over all wet had a great time

Absolutely delicious - went as a group of 4 for the first time - they were very accommodating when we wanted to move as it was noisy. Food was delicious, we can’t wait to return!

Went to eat here based on the reviews I don’t know who has written all these amazing reviews but I must have been in a different restaurant. Cause it was really really awful.the only thing edible was the poppadoms with a teaspoon of condiments.the lamb dishes were unchewable and tasteless chicken curry’s.the waiter spilt a full glass of bear over the table which soaked my clothes.we were going to order fish she brought a trolley with fish on it and I could spell it before I could see it .and for £250 I am more than disappointed. But I shall not be returning once bitten.

Great place for food, service and atmosphere. I have been to Bombay Delight 3 times in the past 2 weeks and the service provided by Pavan on each occasion has been excellent.

Dined for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon, expecting good things having read such charmed reviews! A pleasant welcome and comfortable table! Most disappointing introduction to the seafood trolley, awkward on the eyes and an unkind smell from what was on display… a selection of starters that were average, chops, Seekh kebab, overcooked with little flavour, Prawns too. Main courses were less impressive than starters which is a shame… Lamb dishes ordered were very dry and lacking in tenderness and flavour, butter chicken was enjoyed by the children… main issue is the cost does not match the quality of the food!

We went to Bombay delight last night and had a lovely meal. Staff are friendly and attentive. Did not feel rushed. Good Indian food but not too rich. Had a lovely evening and would recommend.

Food is really good, on the top of that staff is really courteous specially Pawan who served us and Vishal who managed to accomodate us really quickly without prior booking. Overall it was a very good experience. Highly recommended..

We recently hired the private room in the restaurant for a family birthday. The restaurant made it a night to remember. It provided a fantastic service, the staff were attentive to our needs, the food was sumptuous and tasty, and everybody at our party had a good time. Food is always great! Me and my husband love dining here. Our go to food is always Chicken Tikka, veg biryani and daal makhani. Pavan is the one who always serves us. He is very professional and polite. Will definitely be visiting again (as always!)

Visited recently with friends and family for a birthday. First impressions were good. Busy, spacious, friendly staff etc. Ordered starters. You can tell a lot about a restaurant from the starters. Portion size was extremely small compared to even many top restaurants I have been to. Prices were above average so you would think sizes reflect this. Not the case. You virtually need one and a half starters per person. Not the usual order a few dishes and can share as is most Indian restaurants. Disappointed from the starters as had to then order more as it was embarrassing. Poppadoms- one cut into 4 pieces per basket. That's not a basket of Poppadoms. Then onto mains. Again, Prices around £16 per main. You'd expect something. I thought that the children's dishes had come out at first. Might need to take a microscope to see the food next time as not much given per dish. Disappointed. Taste wise, ok. Nothing to write home about. Clearly people's taste buds must be changing as they seemed to be catering for a newer generation of Indians who have forgotten what genuine Indian food tastes like and those who want British Indian food. I think the restaurant is trying to please a moden British crowd with what was quite bland food, even the dishes with 3 chilli's next to them. Staff were great. Service a bit slow. Nice atmosphere. Prices- too high for what you get. Would I go again? Unlikely. Much better places around.

Really delicious. I particularly recommend the aubergine curry (adraki baigan). A great addition to the local area.

Visited on a Friday lunchtime, it was fairly quiet but as you would expect. The service was good and the food superb, well done Bombay Delight, the best curry in Wimbledon!

We have always wanted to dine here but some reason it never happened until today. We walked in to a beautifully decorated restaurant, not over the top but classy. The tables were spread out nicely which is a premium these days as most restaurants try to cram in as many tables as they can. We had the bhel puri for starters and it blew our minds away. The combo of sweet, spicy, sour and crunchy was an explosion of flavours in our mouth. Next for mains, my husband decided to try the chef’s speciality, a chicken dish and it was not like anything he’s tasted before but in a good way. It was minty and yoghurty and tasted divine. I had the spicy prawn dish and it did not disappoint, it was very flavourful. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only gripe I had was the masala chai I was looking forward to came in the smallest thimble of a glass, I just felt for £3.50 I would get more. The taste of it though was very good.

The staff here are amazing - very well trained in their skill, smart, non intrusive, polite - always make you feel very welcome and I feel I’m getting a great service. The food is absolutely delicious!!!! Every time I’ve been it’s been fantastic. The man who I can assume is the manager is so friendly and ensures every table is happy and you feel you’re in such good hands every time here. Thank you!

We visited with friends and really enjoyed the food. There was an accidental glass breakage by staff which was cleared up quickly but I think a complimentary dessert or coffee or removal of service charge would have been a nice gesture. The food is lovely and the service is good. The tables are very close together so its a little claustrophobic but that might be we went at a very busy time.

Not a big fan of curry, never really step into a curry house. Booked buy a friend for a few of us to meet up. WOW. Could not fault the greeting, service, food and atmosphere. Sunday evening and almost full. I will be visiting again. Thoroughly enjoyed it and especially the food. Great Job to the team. Very impressed.

The food came to my place in less than 15 minutes from the time the I placed the order on Just Eat. All the curries tasted exactly the same, no flavour and they just chucked in some chilli powder to mask the lack of flavour. I ordered lamb bhuna, lamb rogan josh and chicken dhaba curry. I know I ordered 30 minutes before closing but you should cook your food with pride regardless instead of rushing to prepare and cook the food to get it out as quickly as possible before you close. Over £40 wasted! I had a nice experience when dining inside the restaurant and food was delicious. But your delivery/takeaway is absolutely disgusting. Shame on you. I won’t be ordering from you or dining in either.

I have dined in at this restaurant previously and thought that everything was amazing from food to the drinks and the service so I decided to try them out for takeaway. I placed my order at 22:07 and by 22:23 the driver was already at my door. This was already a bad sign but given the prior positive experience I had when I dined in I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I ordered 2 lamb dishes and 1 chicken dish. All the dishes were prepared in the same gravy and had tons of whole spice in it and lots of heat but zero flavour. To add insult the complimentary poppadoms were a few broken pieces. If you want ro provide something complimentary either do it properly or not at all. Being someone of Indian descent I have eaten tons of curries in my lifetime and these 3 curries rank as the lowest. Super disappointing experience given our first experience was so good and we ordered the same dishes back then also. If the restaurant cannot keep the same consistency for their takeaways as they do in the restaurant then they need to reconsider if offering their food on delivery is right for them

The staff we nice but some seemed to not know what they were doing. The food took a very long time to arrive and I have to say that it wasn’t really memorable tasting, just average and a bit bland in some areas. The manager came to apologise for the delay but there was no token gesture as one might hope for after waiting a very long time for the meal.

Como siempre en la delicia de Bombay nos reconocieron a su llegada y fueron llevados inmediatamente por él a una bonita mesa aislada que apreciamos. Una vez más el servicio era impecable con caras familiares a mano para atender todas nuestras necesidades. Siendo g un sábado por la noche el restaurante estaba muy ocupado y solo era de esperar que el plato extraño cayó muy ligeramente por debajo de un diez sobre 10, pero todavía muy aceptable. Soy un poco chupa para una masala dosah y los he disfrutado desde hace mucho tiempo en los años 70. El de esta noche no es uno de los mejores, los sabores eran buenos, pero el crepé se llenó con papas de gran tamaño cuando el relleno debe ser una mezcla de papa triturada más pequeña y cebolla con algunas especias. En resumen, otra agradable noche en el Bombay Delight se completó perfectamente con té masala cha y un pastel de chocolate gooey de cortesía con cohetes de fuegos artificiales que sobresalen de él. The services are really good and the food was amazingly delicious, strongly recommended if you want to have Indian cuisine.

We were in this restaurant during our stay in London with our children. They adapted to the children and prepared a non-spicy dish for them. The children loved it. Our dishes were tasty, the service was quick and the staff was friendly. We were even given some pastries for Diwali. Excellent restaurant.

Tuvimos una mesa para 4 a las 7 pm el domingo pasado, y nuestros amigos llegaron justo antes que nosotros. Nos dieron (literalmente) segundos para hacer una elección de cóctel antes de que terminara su happy hour. No bebidas que normalmente optaríamos por un restaurante indio, pero toda parte de la experiencia, volvimos a las cervezas después. Se presentaba una primicia histórica con la opción de elegir entre una selección de pescado fresco en bandeja fría. Un concepto muy novedoso para un restaurante indio. Pedí la mesa y nuestro camarero me preguntó si sabía que el Tikka de Salmón no venía con salsa. Le dije que estaba muy familiarizado con la comida india y que dirigía un Curry Club. Nuestros entrantes llegaron e incluyeron una samosa en lugar de una Masala Dosa. El Gerente me preguntó si queríamos mantener el arranque equivocado, y cuando le pregunté si sería complementario, dijo que no y rápidamente se lo llevó. Esto fue visto muy mal por todo el mundo y no lo que yo esperaría en un restaurante como este. El abridor correcto llegó casi inmediatamente, confirmando que este era su error. Estas fallas, por muy desagradables que sean, no nos quitaron el disfrute general de la comida. En general una muy buena experiencia con comida excepcional en un ambiente espacioso y vibrante.

To say the least I have been to hundreds of indian restaurants in my 40 years of travel and can honestly say this place is the worst for food, service , value for money , ambiance, etc if I could give it a minus I would . The noise was dreadful at first entering , I thought it was a party going on , but soon realised it was the norm , the food was cold straight from the plate , and when I told the staff she looked up at the ceiling to say oh well what can I do ! No hi how are you or welcoming.nothing just sit down eat and get out 😳 I thought I was in a nightmare but seeing my wife was getting extremely upset and anxious I put on a kind smiling face . And when I got the bill I almost fell off the chair with 2 alcoholic drinks and 2 main meals costing me 100 Sterling I thought it was someone else’s bill . Please please people read the reviews which were excellent but oh soo wrong 😥 give me KFC anyday what a disaster even pigs grunt but I never got a how was your meal or anything just hurry up mate I need the table 😞😞

The best Indian restaurant that we have visited in Wimbledon in the last 18 years of living here. If you visit on the weekend over lunchtime, heartily recommend trying their street food tapas. They recommended the Chaat Bomb. Just incredible. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time at Bombay Delight. The food was delicious, we started off with popadoms with a variety of sauces and then moved on to a warm/ spicy kind prawn dish and a paneer butter masala (the pictures don’t do them justice!). The customer service was excellent. Everybody from the second we walked through the door, was extremely attentive and kind. Our waiter was so lovely too (I’d really like to mention him personally but can’t remember his name). I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who has the time to go. I will definitely be coming back very soon.

A hidden gem! Exquisite and authentic Indian food. Attentive and courteous staff and the manager Vishal, who had time for you to explain any questions you had. Almost felt as if we were in Mumbai, India. Great food and service so keep up the good work gentlemen.
