El Rancho De Lalo in Lambeth

We have just walked out of the restaurant due to very poor service. We as a family love the restaurant and have been eating with lalos since brixton village. But today, greatly disappointed. We ordered 2 breakfasts 2 coffees and an orange juice. A table that arrived after us were served their food before we even got our coffee. We questioned the waiter and we were told "you just have to wait!!!" Such a shame

Overall good, I think the owner needs a little more support from the staff. Mr Lalo is very attentive and friendly but the staff not so much.

I love this place I go here 2 or 3 times a week if I turn up early they let me sit in the restaurant till they are ready boss man found me sitting on the door step one day and told me to come and wait they all know I travel 1 and half hours to come here ( Northampton to London)I love the food and the staff

Being Colombians traveling to London, we decided to try one of the Colombian cuisine restaurants. Luckily we found the best of all. Very warm and friendly people, always careful not to let you miss anything and above all the food was delicious and of excellent quality! Thanks to Lalo and all the staff for making us feel at home! I recommend it!!! everything was delicious!!!!

Delicious and wholesome food! Tastes really home cooked. I especially loved the blackberry fruit drink! So fruity, refreshing and not too sugary. Just delicious!

The empanadas are the perfect size and are always satisfyingly crunchy and generously filled with juicy, flavorful meat. I appreciate that they contain minimal potato, just the way I like them. The only empanadas worth paying for are the ones made at Lalo's! The service was fast and foh team were friendly, attentive and charismatic. All the food was cooked perfectly, and the meats were juicy, tender, and well seasoned.

The Positive: The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried was packed with authentic flavors, and you could tell a lot of care went into the preparation. The meat was tender, the rice perfectly cooked, and the salad fresh and crisp. If you’re looking for tasty Latin-inspired cuisine, they definitely deliver on quality and flavor. The Negative: Unfortunately, the dining environment was less enjoyable due to how cold the restaurant was. It was hard to relax and fully enjoy the meal while feeling chilly the entire time. Pricing Concerns: While the food was tasty, the pricing structure didn’t make much sense. For example, ordering a basic plate of rice, meat, and salad costs around £20. However, for just £1 more, you can get a Bandeja Paisa, which comes with a significantly larger variety of food, including additional sides like beans, plantains, and avocado. The pricing difference feels inconsistent, making some simpler dishes seem way overpriced compared to more generous platters

Incredibly welcome atmosphere :) the place, externally, internally, the music, what an amazing vibe! Everything is so inviting!!! As soon as you start to talk with the staff you feel even happier, everyone is friendly! A big thanks to Sebastian who looked after us on Saturday night, such a kind person. The food was delicious, so authentic and tasty. The size of the dishes were generous. Our group had people from Brazil, Peru, Portugal, Ireland, England and we were all impressed with this place :) We are already planning a return trip! Thanks for a lovely night.

Loved, loved, loved it!!!! The 1st place I have been in Lindon, servlng real Colombian food. The ambience is perfect, it resemblance a true Paisa restaurant. Everything in the Bandeja Paisa is from Colombia, the flavours are amazing.The arequipe with cheese was divine, and so was the aguardiente. Not only that but the restaurant itself is spacious, well decorated, nice. And the staff couldn't be nicer or more professional. A great experience all together. Great value for money. I can't wait to go back for the tilapia frita.

Always a great experience visiting El Rancho De Lalo. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly, and obviously enjoy working there. The atmosphere is very welcoming and while there is music it is not overwhelming, but adds to the experience. After our first visit, coming back is like visiting family - now we come whenever we can. I thoroughly recommend El Rancho De Lalo for a great Colombian experience in London.

I loved this spot. Walked in and immediately felt welcome, the staff was outrageously nice and the food was perfect. Daily specials highlighting different Colombian classics. We had the plantain soup, a delicious empanada, and Lulo juice (a favorite). Will definitely be back!

We came here for a late lunch on bank holiday Monday. We were lucky and had a table as son as we walked in, as the restaurant was busy. But in a good way. The atmosphere inside is energetic and welcoming. But you need to come for the food - it was delicious. We had the Bandeja Paisa and Chuleta de cerdo, and both were generous in portions and very tasty. Some of my Colombian favourites were missing from the menu (Arroz con pollo, arepas con todo…) but the menu had great choice. The servers are friendly and helpful. 100% would recommend to try!

This is my favorite Colombian restaurant. Without fail, the best Colombian food in London! Very attentive not only to me, but also to my 3 and 6-year-old daughters. The breakfast with white peasant cheese and hot chocolate is the best!

Excellent restaurant, amazing service from Jean Paul who is a credit to the restaurant. He talked us through the whole menu and explained all the authentic drinks, which we tried and loved! The food was amazing and took me back to my trip to Miami where we had similar food. They have a decible meter to see how loud the restaurant is which makes is great for families with small babies. Unfortunately, we took no photos as the food looked so good we wanted to eat straight away. Thank you for an amazing evening!

The best Colombian food outside Colombia.

I like to eat on the street and before going somewhere, I like to look at the reviews and that's how you orient yourself. It is the first time I have eaten at this restaurant in its new location and unfortunately I have to say that it was not a good experience. I don't understand why a restaurant trying to improve, like they only think about aesthetics. Everything is very nice, Lalo and his team are very well dressed, the new place is very nice, but I have to say that for my taste the quality of the food is very average. For the exorbitant prices, the food is very bad. They have raised the prices while lowering the quality of the food. We had 4 people eat that day and none of the dishes met our expectations. I in particular asked for a tray paisa and that was far from looking like a tray paisa. Starting with the fact that they served it to me on a round plate. I'm sorry, but I do not recommend this site.

Being welcomed by Lalo in person was a nice start. A bright, shiny clean, high ceiling and originally decorated made me feel in a real American ranch. This is my first time eating Colombian food, and it tastes pretty good! The staff in this store are very enthusiastic and the service is very friendly. In fact, Colombian food is very suitable for my personal taste. I recommend this fish dish. Although the fish looks dry, it is very delicious when paired with the shrimp mayonnaise sauce! Very tasty! The comprehensive meat platter looks grilled, and all the meats taste relatively dry and not very tender. Regardless of whether it's beef, chicken or pork, they are all a bit dry and chewy (not chewy). I don't particularly recommend them, but you can still eat them. The garlic shrimps are delicious and the rice cakes are special (although tasteless). A very unique store.

Everything about this place is a gem. Not only is the food delicious but I’m always met with such kindness. One day it was pouring down and the owner gave me his umbrella so that I could keep dry. It’s a family run business so it feels good to support them and give back to the community. I came for the grilled chicken but stayed for all the reasons above. I have become a loyal costumer since and will recommend to anyone looking for their protein fix, a good salsa playlist and great costumer service!

We went on Wednesday and enjoy el sancocho de carne, followed by ox tail washed down with agua de panela with lemon, absolutely delicious and the service excellent. Must try!

Sooo lovely! Having spent a few months in Colombia and having enjoyed much Colombian cuisine through friends, I can say the food here tastes super authentic and nostalgic to me! Also full of Colombians which is an excellent sign..! The empanadas and chicharrón in particular are delicious. Food all came out really quickly, the restaurant has a great family feel, not too fussy at all, and the service is absolutely attentive and all staff super friendly and warm. A must try :)

Beware the starter menu! Tempting, but the main courses (all around the £20 mark) are colossal - and very tasty - with a real range of tastes. Very friendly service, with Latin music playing throughout bit never at an intrusive level. We are already planning our next visit!

INCREIBLE !!!! Las mejores arepas en Londres (best arepas in london!!). I'm Venezuelan and we overlap in some of our cusine with Colombia + a lot my family lived in Colombia whilst I grew up so I spent a some time in Cúcuta and have tried bits and bob of Colombian food near the border :) . This place is authentic and delicious the arepa with butter took me back to my child hood :'( so incredible and the empanadas are the only ones of this type that I have found in London (this style is only found in the north of south america, mainly Colombia and Venezuela I think).

My favourite Latin food restaurant in London, and arguably the best one. I’ve been coming here for 3 years, ever since they were inside Brixton Market, and I must say that they are not only consistent with the quality, it’s constantly improving. The service is always warm and friendly, the food always tasty and warm. Don Lalo is always here looking after every customer, making us feel at home.

Nothing to complain about excellent service and good quality food.. My Colombian friend took me here to experience how traditional Colombian food tastes and i got to say it is superb! Little more to the higher side as an average order can go up to £25-30 but the food matches expectations. Very impressive 😊

Great service, food and atmosphere. Had booked a table for 12.30pm Saturday 9th march however I was told in arrival that the booking was not made however the swift service I received was fabulous and a table was given to me and my party of 5. Waited a while for the food however the wait was worth it. Delicious soup with mussels, prawns, squid on the specials menu 🙌

The food is delicious, the service excellent. They should have 5 stars. All the staff really give 100 to make you feel comfortable.
