Special thanks to the chef for responding to an unusual dietary requirement (low fibre). Food is excellent.

From the moment we entered the venue to the time we left, the service was exceptional from start to finish! We absolutely loved the rum punch and doubles—such a treat! We only wish there were more options for them, as they would make a fantastic lunchtime menu addition with a variety of toppings. The quality of the food was outstanding, and we all left feeling completely satisfied. While one menu option was out of stock (understandable after Christmas), it didn’t take away from our experience. We’ll definitely be returning to Limin again soon!

My friends and I came to Limin for some cocktails and the fondue. The cocktails were very well made and the fondue was delicious. It was a chill atmosphere and our server Guneet was very nice and attentive. I would definitely come here again.

Great atmosphere. The owner came over and greeted us. There were 3 of us. For starters we shared...Calamari,Trini Doubles, Plantain and Freeta. For mains I had The Goat, British off the bone goat with steamed rice. My other guests had The Goat and a Grande Curry Vegetable. Great service by Guneet It was lovely that the owner stopped by several times. Nice background music. Nice decor

First time trying Trini food and I loved the doubles. The atmosphere, ambience and decor here is lovely although I would have liked a table near the fireplaces so bear in mind not all seats have the cosy feel. The staff are polite, not really informative enough for me specially when first time trying certain foods. The food was lovely very flavourful. The only thing that let the restaurant down for me was the prices. Maybe because I can cook curry goat (for example) I wouldn’t expect to pay £25 for it when I know how much goat I can get for that at my butchers. Having said that times are hard (cost of living) plus the location have to be taken into account. I just personally wasn’t happy to pay that price. The starters say to share… they ain’t big enough to share unless you get a few between two people. Loved the fritters and the drizzle it came with not the Mac and cheese so much it’s different, has flavour but not for me it’s also £10 the most I have paid for Mac and cheese in my life.

My first time coming here. The atmosphere is lovely all staff are nice,friendly and welcoming. I was served by Guneet who was very attentive to us throughout our time. The food was great everything was cooked perfectly and nice and fresh. Will definitely be visiting again

We loved the authentic food, amazing drinks and great vibe.

Starters were really good accept the doubles. In fact none of the curries were properly cooked. There was a raw taste of curry, not the best Trini food. In fact non Trinidadian dishes were much better. Also a bit pricey for what it was. Service was good.

The food was amazing the curry goat just melts in your mouth and the Crème de la crème cocktail is 10/10 definitely worth a visit and service was really good Guneet made sure we had everything we needed.

Decent sized portions and well presented. The food was tasty but not all the dishes were what I know and grew up eating as authentically Caribbean. However, I did enjoy my meal and it was nice to have something different to eat near the Southbank.

We’ve visited Limin before, but unfortunately, our experience last night was disappointing. We waited a long time for someone to serve us, and when the order arrived, it was wrong, so we had to remind the staff. We had ordered two of the same dish, but both plates looked different. The chicken was underseasoned, and while the sauce was nice, the meat itself was bland. On a positive note, the rum punch was good and well-portioned, offering great value for money. The crowd was diverse, but it was surprising that the music played had no Trinidadian influence at all, especially since we’ve enjoyed soca during previous visits. We also waited a long time for the bill, which only came after we requested it. My friend decided not to pay the service charge, as the service didn’t meet expectations. It’s unfortunate because we’ve always enjoyed coming to Limin, and we hope this was just a one-off experience.

Attended with an old friend from school days. The Corn Chowder for starters was delicious. Freshly cooked ingredients lifted the flavours. Whilst eating our starter the servers brought our main course which I've never experienced before in any other restaurant, so by the time we started the mains it was cold! I had the "sea bass" which was drowned in a heaving sauce totally obliterating the taste. The Mac&Cheese was quite tasty but dry. My friend had the Trini Ham which she thoroughly enjoyed. A bit unnerving that men and women shared the same toilet area! All the staff were very friendly, willing to help and service with a smile. The overall experience was good and would definitely go again!

This was a pleasant surprise! Overall the food was prepared well Goat was tender and just enough flavour. Roti was 10/10 but for £4 should be giving guests a whole one not half. The Mac and cheese was NOT good at all! I had literally half a bite and asked the waiting staff to remove it from the table. Luckily the rum punch made everything ok again… lovely balance of flavours! Atmosphere was nice and very Christmassy but would have loved more Caribbean music

We had a lovely family dinner, it was the perfect atmosphere for a catch up, the location was a little out of the way, but that was quite nice actually. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Also we cooked through the App FirstTable and had 50% off of the bill, it was very good value for money!!

This place is amazing and the vibes is giving me the Swiss Alps met the Caribbean. Excellent choices of food and don't miss ordering the calamari! The best one I've tasted for a very long time. The roti is fluffy and the curry goat is definitely the G.O.A.T. We were served by Stephanie who is full of great suggestions and has even told us the best way to serve money on shots!

I had dinner here with a friend and everything we had was delicious. Between us we had the G.O.A.T, and the Fried Chicken which were both a very good portion size and tasted amazing. Service was friendly, warned us for last orders before the kitchen closed, and I'll definitely be coming back.

This is a lovely family friendly restaurant, with welcoming staff and tasty food. Big shout out to Dillon at the bar who was attentive and catered for our every need. Thank you also to lovely Stephanie who looked after us and explained the ingredients when we asked her about the dishes we chose. The decor was sparkling with all the Christmas decorations and the atmosphere was warm and friendly due to the staff. The only thing I would say is that the food was rather pricey for the portion sizes but it is very good and I would highly recommend this restaurant to family and friends. Fast and attentive service, I think the space will work better when it’s busier and warms up. Music nice but not too much so we were able to talk and catch up. The croque monsieur was really nice, good cocktail list.

Very surprised at the food quality on my visit, given reviews I had read. Visited with 3 friends for lunch on a Saturday and everything we ordered, save for the Punch was bland and tasteless. We ordered chicken wings and Trini doubles for starters and I thought they were really bland and wondered how anyone manages to get chicken wings wrong. On to the mains of Goat 24 and Aunty's chicken curry (and given these were listed under 'Chef's Favourites' did nothing to prepare us for the abysmal food. I am not a picky eater, so when I am unable to eat a meal.....? It was extremely poor value and my friends shared the sentiment. Did leave same review with the team member who served us. Great service with a smile and I would return if counting only service and discounting the food, but the menu really let down the experience for us.

Was my first time in London and I went to Limen with a group of friends. The overall experience and atmosphere was wonderful and the food was to die for. I highly recommend going here if you have the chance.

This is honestly one of the worst restaurants we’ve been to and I am shocked to see so many 5* reviews! It was extremely overpriced for the quality of the service and food we received. When we walked in we thought we were at the wrong place, the atmosphere did not feel like a Caribbean restaurant at all, there was house music playing and the whole place was decorated like Santa's grotto. We were seated at what felt like school canteen tables and plastic chairs and the ‘walls’ were just chipboard. We got the wings (£12 for 6 small wings) and Doubles (£13 for two doubles) to start, the wings were overcooked and the doubles were cold and bland. For mains we got curry goat (£24), curry chicken (£18) and Mac & cheese (£8). Our meal came with one massive bowl of rice to share and the meat was in tiny side dishes, the ratio of meat to rice was way off and for £24 I would expect a larger portion of goat. Both the chicken and goat was bland. The Mac n cheese had a strange smell and was topped with croutons and other crunchy things, definitely not close to authentic Caribbean mac n cheese. We had to ask for cutlery and a plate to eat off of, and eventually we were given plastic plates which was very disappointing. Our entire meal came to £96 which we were shocked about as we didn’t purchase any alcohol… It’s a shame they’re allowed to get away with charging so much only for their guests to end up eat on plastic plates and in a cheaply furnished restaurant.

VERY expensive for small portions of mediocre food. £24 for the fish curry that was a small piece of fish and some sauce with bread on the side but no rice, vegetables or anything else is daylight robbery. Thankfully my partner got the £24 tiny bowl of goat curry that came with rice (but no bread) so we could share the meagre portions between us. Both dishes were fine, but neither was anything special, or even served very hot. Both cost double what I would have expected to pay for meals of that quality. Service was also slow in general and we had to ask 3 times to get glasses for water, and we were some of the only customers there at the time.

Been a while since I had a decent Caribbean meal so was a welcome change. Lovely curry goat and now bones which was a nice surprise, although it did lack a little in flavour and spice but I guess that's catering for general public rather than a homemade family recipe one. Chicken looked good and the rice was nice but the goat was a bit expensive for what you got. Staff all nice enough and location was good - can imagine it'd be really nice in the summer.

Awful establishment, overrated, overpriced (extortionate) food & drink, poor quality, dreadful decor, tiny portions, slow service.

I went for a birthday lunch with the lads & we were attentively looked after by Renelle (apologies if spelt incorrectly) who was great and looked after us from start to finish. Shout out to Dilan the bartender who kept the drinks flowing for the birthday boys! Food was great, vibes & music were good, make sure you try the rum and coconut ice cream and the basque cheesecakes - exceptional We would come back again!!

A disgrace to respectable Trini street food, Caribbean cocktails & customer service. We visited on Saturday afternoon. The place was fairly deserted, but we were kept ‘waiting’ for a table, when the majority of them were unoccupied. We were seated at a tiny inhospitable table at the rear of the establishment. We were brought menus & ordered Trini Doubles (as a snack) & a cocktail each. Both eventually arrived at our table. The cocktails came first. They were tiny, full of ice, lacking in any alcohol so way too weak for a respectable Rum Punch & had more ice than any true drinking contents. The ‘Doubles’ then arrived. These were pitiful. They were tiny palm sized offerings. (Real Trini Doubles are a full hand span & very filling). I was forced to order a portion of fries to find some level of filling food. They were awful. The final insult was the bill. They tried to put just under £8 ‘service’ charge on the bill, which I refused. Even after this was taken off, we were still charged a ridiculous amount of money. Do not go there. The food was overpriced & overrated. The service was sadly abysmal. A dreadfully poor experience. Avoid at all & any cost.

Very pretty, good music, would have been nice if starters weren’t cold. Also felt rushed wer were forced to have our mains when we hadn’t even finished our starter (that’s not what I’m use to). One of the managers quite a rude attitude about it all and refused to give us her name. However the night was saved by the other manager who was very professional called Victoria and our waiter Alex was amazing. The mains was very nice but unfortunately we will not be back.

Limin Southbank was a lot of fun! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the music added a great vibe. The only downside was the mocktail I ordered—it tasted a bit flat. Despite that, I’d definitely go back!

I attended LIMIN on 5th November 2024 to celebrate my fiancés 62nd birthday. The restaurant has recently upgraded to their new Winter Ski Lodge theme, with fur rugs and blankets and Christmas trees and lights - the atmosphere was welcoming and the host Chloe was extremely attentive, throughout our lunch time booking. We were offered Still or Sparkling water on arrival to accompany our meal and given time to consider our drinks from the menu. DRINKS: The Real McCoy 5 year rum on the rocks, now my partner appreciates a good rum and he really enjoyed this drink.. which if you have not eaten can creep up on you, it packs a wonderful warm and inviting punch ! Mulled Wine Cocktail: now this was a heavenly sweet treat served warm in a copper Appleton Estate tankard - with a fresh piece of citrus and cinnamon bark which complimented the rich taste of the Shiraz and merlot blend of wines. I was not disappointed and extremely happy with this choice ... just consider this on a cold winter afternoon or evening you will really enjoy it! STARTER TO SHARE We had the starter: Chicken wings, these were well seasoned, succulent and very tasty! MAIN (1): Island Catch - LIMIN's version of fish and chips was accompanied with tartare sauce, green peas and an option of another sauce accompaniment (barbecue, ketchup) this is usually my personal choice but my partner chose this for his birthday meal - the batter was light, crisp and the fish cooked to perfection. MAIN (2): Aunties Curry Chicken with steamed rice.. my choice on this occasion, I do not eat a lot of meat, but the portion was more than sufficient, curry sauce accompaniment had a sweet spicy punch to compliment the chicken. My partner and I experienced both dishes and were really pleased as this was our second visit to LIMIN since the Summer (we attended June 2024); this was also our first outing as a couple since we recently got engaged in September. SPECIAL REQUESTS: I asked the restaurant to mark the occasion and we were not let down. Chloe presented my partner's dessert: Dessert (1) Rum cake ice-cream served with a Happy Birthday topper, a lighted candle and greetings of Happy Birthday sung beautifully by Chloe. Dessert (2) The Cheese cake, now this was different to shop bought cheesecakes, it was of a rich consistency, yet lightly baked with the subtleness of the coconut which just complimented this dessert, rich sauce and strawberries. I live locally and LIMIN did not disappoint, the Manager kindly complimented us by offering my fiancés dessert on the house, which was not expected, he really enjoyed his birthday treat. I wish to thank the owner, chef, Manager and Chloe (beautiful host with a warm and genuine heart - excellent customer service) our deepest thanks. We will be back soon, we appreciated all that you did for us Devonnie and Michael x
