Visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday. WOW! The atmosphere was brilliant, the manager Sham is awesome. So friendly and attentive. Is interested in knowing your experience and if he can make it better. Those Limin Rum Punches 😍 I WILL BE COMING BACK SHAM and look forward to the visit. My husband and I shall be ordering that Rum Punch Bottle next time! Thank you ♥️

Excellent service and the curry chicken and Roti was amazing, the rum punch was absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for a delicious lunch this is the place to be.

They clearly ran out of bread and gave me a half portion (judging by the photos of other meals). Expensive and hungry still, finished before the other food finished coming out. Awful.

Avoid dining at this restaurant as they have a questionable practice regarding service charges. Instead of distributing the service charge directly to the staff, they appear to use it to supplement their employees' minimum wage. This raises concerns about the transparency and fairness of their compensation practices, potentially impacting the overall dining experience.

We held a corporate event here today and Sham (Co-Owner) along with his fabulous team were sublime hosts. The food - DELECTABLE!! I was catapulted to Trinidad & Tobago with every burst of flavour on the tongue. The drinks - INCREDIBLE! Please check out Sham’s own brand of rum… my dears… you will not be disappointed. I cannot WAIT to be back. Until then, I’ll go hungry 😅 #DoublesIsMyLoveLanguage

We came here yesterday for my Husbands birthday. The food was delicious, great bar staff and waiter who were both super friendly. The music and vibe of the place created a relaxing atmosphere. They even brought my husband out a pudding with a candle on to celebrate his day. Will definitely be coming back again!

Had a great Sunday lunch. The wings were amazing two of our guests devoured them. Everything was just yummy.. Masala fish sauce was amazing. All the chicken dishes had perfect chicken and lots of flavour! Island fish and chips hit the spot. Our server made us feel very welcome and happy. We were definitely Limin🥰

We stayed in Waterloo for the weekend for, for my wife's birthday, after seeing the online menu I was excited to dine at Limin, but we were let down, the food menu was not the same as online, it was limited. On arrival the staff were friendly and atmosphere lively, nice music and setting.We had rum punch which was delicious but had too much ice and served in small tumblers. As carribbean, frequent travellers to the Caribbean islands and dining out at Caribbean restaurants in the UK we were excepting to have tall tumblers of rum punch especially at £12 each, at this price with a tumbler, it should of been 2 for the price of 1.For starters, I asked for fritters? But received balls, which wasn't too bad.My wife had Trini Doubles,it was nice.For mains, my wife had fried chicken which we expected to have a fried crispy coating but it had more of a jerk grilled appearance. The chicken was tasty but was not like fried chicken.I had the chicken curry,unfortunately I couldn't eat the majority of the dish because it was bones,fortunately my wife had a lot of chicken and she shared it with me. The curry sauce was delicious so I dipped the 'fried' chicken in the sauce. I like rice and peas with my chicken curry but due to the limited menu option I could not order it.It would have been nice to have been able to order a dessert to finish the meal but again due to the limited menu this was not possible. I wish this was stated on the website before we booked. I said to my wife I wouldn't come here again but my wife said she would come back when the full menu was available.We would definitely check this before booking.

First time diner and it was fantastic. Had a delicious lunch of Doubles and Curry Chicken in the newly decorated restaurant . Food was served fresh, hot and delicious. Only comment would be they plates weren't warm, so food got cold quicker. Service was good, not overbearing and staff very friendly. It was early so relatively quiet and relaxed. I'll visit again for evening service, food, cocktails and music vibes. This place has acquired a new regular customer.

Better Late than never right! Big thanks to Campbell, Chris, Wikoria & Quhira for making my best friends birthday suprise such a beautifully, fun and exciting evening, even during the busy Halloween weekend. The venue is beautiful and we cannot wait to return in the summer, and catch a vibe with the rest of the Staff. Thank you very much again.

Had a fabulous Christmas works event here. Great atmosphere, super service and the food - wow! Will be coming back with the family later this month.

We were 'celebrating' New Year's Eve at this venue, and it turned out to be the most disappointing event ever. Despite promises of a wide variety of snacks in the advertising, all we got were macaroni and one unfresh chicken wing. The food was barely edible, and obtaining it required enduring long lines as they were serving reserved tables. The music was terrible, and there was no interaction with the guests at all. Our evening was completely ruined! When we inquired about the fireworks, the organizer claimed not to know, while the ticket for the firework show was included. Frustrated, we left after just one hour. We spent over an hour and thirty minutes searching for the fireworks area as even the security guards were unaware where this area was. I deeply regret purchasing a ticket on Eventbrite for this nightmare. What a waste of money! I hope this comment will be useful for others considering events at this place. Avoid it!

Served chicken instead of jackfruit in our curry loaded fries. Only realised when my partner came across a hard bit of gristly bone in the food. I have not eaten meat in 6 years! When brought to the attention of the server (who I believe is also one of the owners), he proceeded to argue with us about the bill stating “well it looks like you enjoyed the food before you realised” *mind blown*. As a customer we put our trust in you. To serve meat to a vegetarian or vegan is a violation! Next time, instead of being defensive and implying your customer is trying to pull a fast one, why not take accountability for YOUR mistake, and show some empathy for the upset you’ve caused. Worst dining experience of my life. Needless to say, I won’t be returning and do not recommend.

We just had a Caribbean Christmas Lunch celebration, 15 of us, at Limin Southbank. It was simply beyond amazing, we were there for FOUR HOURS. Okay you are in London just off the Thames but the minute you walk into Limin, the vibe, the atmosphere, the bend over backwards hospitality and the food, yes the food, you feel like you are in Caribbean. Okay so it’s a 8-9 hour flight to get to the Caribbean but just a short 10 minute walk from Waterloo Station or Blackfriars Tube and you are THERE. GOT TO GO and make sure you try the DOUBLES, the famous street food of Trinidad and Tobago. And of course the RUM PUNCH.

What a place! It's quite a big place and was full. Amazing atmosphere, really good service. The owner's were wandering around, sat and chatted, asked if they could do anything more. The food was very yummy! Good portions, very well spiced, well priced! Good drink choices. I was in a big group on a round table overlooking the river which was perfect! Will most certainly visit again. All 10 of us said the same (this place was recommended by a few people I know)

I came to Limin with my family to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately, the service was poor throughout, very slow, the food coming out at different times, having to ask for things multiple times. Despite the poor service we were told we had to pay the service charge as we were a party of 6 and there was no apology. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Nice family environment diverse for all ages. As a trini the food and drinks need some work, it’s not authentic and for the price of the alcohol the cocktails are basically 90% juice- food is very flavourless. Despite that the music is incredibly loud and you have to shout over it… One thing I have to applaud is the waiters, very friendly and accommodating.

Best tasting Caribbean food I have had in the UK. We ordered everything off the menu except the vegetarian rice and I can say everything was unique and very tasty. The masala chips and doubles were my favourites, very authentic flavours. Everything was well seasoned and had just the right amount of heat/chilli. Can’t wait to go again!

I came here last night, last minute and I picked it out because I thought I would rather support a black business than go to one of the other restaurants at the Southbank. I was shocked by how budget this place was. The plastic chairs which felt like they might break, cheap plastic glasses and plates was shocking to me. The curry goat was not nice at all. I was also very disappointed in the very limited menu. We had 3 different waiters. It was just chaos. Plus the fact there was a large group celebrating someone’s birthday but they were extremely loud screaming and shouting, we couldn’t hear ourselves. I honestly felt embarrassed to be there and had to apologies to my friend who had travelled to London from the US for bringing them to this restaurant. I understand businesses might be struggling right now but I could never come back here with friends ever again. It was embarrassing, not what I expected at all.

Three old school friends had a lovely meal in LIMINs last night, good atmosphere, our waitresses Victoria was absolutely brilliant. Well be back I'm sure.

We stopped by mostly looking for a restroom but then my wife noticed they had some vegan items that she was interested in. We got the doubles. Spicy version was fantastic. Service was very friendly and attentive.

Went to Limin to celebrate son's birthday and it was an superb night. The team ensured that we were well taken care of and nothing was too much hassle. Positioned by the DJ for the full party atmosphere with drinks flowing. Even put the rugby on nearby so no guests missed out. The food was freshly cooked and adapted, where necessary, to suit the Trinbago and non Trinbago palate. The exciting take on classics like phulorie and aloo pie was excellent. Highly recommend doubles and goat roti with signature rum punch. Was my second visit to the restaurant and cannot fault the work that goes into being adventurous with the menu while maintaining flavour. Sham and his team are amazing! Pure Trini hospitality. Well worth the visit in the pouring rain!

Oh my, what a service. We were greeted by Rosie and Victoria. We were a huge group and they were very patient with our group and still provided the best service. Both were busy serving other people yet managed to keep us satisfied. The team loved the atmosphere it was warm and cosy. Food was amazing. They serve halal food too. They apologised for food being late but we never noticed. Definitely coming back.

Has rapidly become our go-to place when meeting friends - we've always had a very warm welcome, the music/atmosphere are friendly and infectious, and the food is out of this world... Come for a great night out, but make sure you eat too, or you'll be missing out!

I really wanted to love this restaurant but something was lacking on my visit. The welcome by the staff was very warm. However, the service was not great. The young lady serving us was very friendly but not very good; missed orders and no cutlery on the table. The food took a long time to arrive but it was good. You do get a good sized portion here. Maybe it was the day and time we went here but we were expecting much more better.

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for mths. I had seen the social media videos where they were making the various seasonings and other elements of the meal. We ordered a bottle of rum punch between 2 people, I couldn't taste the rum. I'm a bit of a light weight and I wasn't even remotely touched by the punch, and the juices used had an artificial taste. The doubles were delish, the curry goat was tender but lacked depth to the flavour. The mac and cheese was lovely though. The wings were OK. Really disappointed because I really expected authentic trini flavours.

I can’t say enough good things about the restaurant and its owner, Sham. As a Trinidadian I have very high expectations from a Trini restaurant and Sham’s cooking thoroughly exceeded them all. Flavoursome, fresh, absolutely delicious. Roti soft and silky. Doubles just like the best that you would get in Trinidad. Curry goat, falling off the bone. Service amazing, personal and heartfelt. I recommend to the highest degree. I will be returning!

Turned up to be told the kitchen was closed, but the manager came over and said if we were eating a main meal he was happy to tell the chef to wait. When the food came, it was the best food I have had from here. It was really amazing. Cocktails were great too. Well worth a visit. It seems the food is back to the good old days.

After reading so many positive reviews, we were very disappointed with our lunch here. We all had something different and none of us (4 people) were over enamoured with our meals. The chicken curry and caramelised chicken were very bony - with splinters of bone that I luckily managed not to eat! We thought the food was very expensive and unexciting for the price. Also, the food was served lukewarm. The service was ok but not atmosphere at all. Only two other diners in the restaurant. We have all eaten in the Caribbean a number of times and this came nowhere near the standard we've experience there. Sadly we won't return.

Limin was amazing, I enjoyed a brunch with friends which included 3 courses and multiple cocktails. The food was amazing, so delicious and the cocktails were great too. Such great value for money, the service was amazing and really personal. We had such a good time and I'd really recommend it for anyone looking for something to do on the weekend or for a special celebration.

Went for a pre theatre dinner. It wasn't busy so they offered table service which was great as we wanted to talk The food took a little while but when it came it was obvious that was because it was freshly cooked. I had the fish masala which was delicious and had just the right chilli heat for me. My friends had a marinated chicken dish which they were very happy with. I am from a Jamaican background so it was good to experience Trinidadian food which was quite different, I would say more strongly influenced by Indian cooking. We had cocktails and asperol spritzes to drink which were tasty although my friend thought the spritz was a bit flat, not enough bubbles. There was a nice casual vibe in there, the chef/owner was on hand to explain some dishes as the young waitress was new and a little clueless but very polite. I would definately go back. It's not far from the National so pre theatre is easy. Very enjoyable meal.

This review is specifically for their in-house rum. Do not hesitate to try it. One of the best white rums I've tasted. The staff and service is also great.

Loved the vibe of soca music. Adding a service charge to bill when you’re going up to counter to order the food yourself is wrong. The runners have no idea about the food they are serving, they need more focus on product knowledge. No check back on how your food was. Cutlery dumped on table, no napkins. Some items were good. The lamb shank was delicious. The fish starter balls however lacked fish of any kind. Just a ball of stodgy stuff. They sold out salt fish fritters, I live doubles not served like that which was a shame, we wouldn’t go back? No.

The restaurant was nice. I liked the food, it was spicy but not too spicy. I didn’t like the rum ice cream too much - it was a bit too strong. There was also a rugby match on while I was there - I’d imagine there would be other sports.

As a Trini (and vegan), I was disappointed. While the Doubles did taste good, £12 for something that you can traditionally get for 50p-£1 is ridiculous. A pitcher of basic fruit punch that fills 4 glasses was £55, so it’s actually cheaper to just buy the drinks separately by the glass (the math wasn’t mathing). Very few vegan options. Aside from the doubles, the flavour profiles were pretty basic. I get that it’s London, but this place is WAY overpriced and clearly taking advantage of a demographic that doesn’t know any better, judging by the other reviews. I always want to support Caribbean businesses, but something’s not right here. Seems to be a London thing though, so we can’t blame the owners entirely, I suppose… Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice place, but not worth the price.

Great experience at Limin! Sham is a perfect host and fantastic chef. Highly recommended if you want to experience a real Caribbean meal in one of the coolest spots in London. Impressive use of spices and seasoning not overpowering the main ingredients. Will certainly be back to try all menu items and chill in the best beach of London.

It’s expensive. Paying £5 for a shot of rum is crazy, and they didn’t have wrays💔, especially when you’re coming from outside of London. I’m originally from London but I have been outside of it for 3 years, so that pricing makes me shy away from coming back for a night out. Aside from the price, the vibe is welcoming and warm. The staff are friendly and it’s just a fun place all in all. I came here for a birthday celebration and I enjoyed my time here. The outside seating area is handy if you get too stuffed inside, and you’re still able to hear the music. In terms of access, I would say it was a little hard to find as it was my first time going there but it’s not too out of the way. I would say the location is perfect for the vibe of the place as the Thames is around the corner. Overall I would give my experience a 7.5/10. Deffo enjoyed myself and would go again.

We’re regulars at Limin and love it - I took a good friend of mine this weekend, and she was so surprised she had never been before. She said all the food she ate was incredible and the owner was so warm and welcoming! (We agree) I’m sure she’ll be coming back with us and by herself!

I cannot recall the name of the dishes we had, but they were nice, but rice was a bit dry. Chicken was delicious with those spices. Service was OK, and waiters were kind.

Been coming here with my mum since the days of LIMIN being a pop up in spitalfields market and I can genuinely say it’s gone from strength to strength ! The flavours remain authentic ,the atmosphere amazing and Sham remains welcoming! As a Trinidadian woman it’s a slice of home that I don’t have to come too far to experience !

Had the doubles, barbecue pork ribs, jerk chicken and island tiramisu. Love the doubles and pork ribs. Jerk chicken was excellent was well, but portion is smaller than your typical street vendor. Tiramisu was a nice, tropical twist to the traditional recipe.

Had a great time celebrating my mum's birthday at Limin' as did all family and friends.. Atmosphere was relaxed, chilled but with enough vibes to get everyone on the dancefloor! If you're looking for a venue for a celebration, this should be on your list...or just go for the vibes and great food. Love it!.

Nice and atmospheric restaurant, many shareable food options. Quiet enough to be able to hear each other. The server Dale was very accommodating and made me some hot water with lemon even though the restaurant doesn't have any tea options.

We were a group of 8 that planned to have dinner and drinks, outside table (sand). Unfortunately the service was terrible, so we decided in the end to go somewhere else for dinner. There was no order that came in correctly or on time. Some of us had to wait for their drinks 20 minutes (beer,cider), they have mixed up our orders, a waitress comes to our table with 3 cocktails in plastic glasses asking if it's take away ?? (non-sense). We have asked multiple time to have the service charge removed from the bill and they did not follow. Eventually one guy came to our table and apologized and gave us a free round of shots, which was very sweet. I ordered another round of shots which took 15 min wait. In the meantime another waitress comes to us with a drink of the table next-by. Service was a disaster, I am sorry, the place, set up & vibes are so nice though! Shame...

Hosted our monthly book club there this week. Food was delicious, their branded cider was crisp and refreshing especially in that heat we had. The atmosphere is lively , great spot for after work ,family visits or Any other occasion

Delicious, beautifully presented Caribbean food. It’s also fairly priced. Atmosphere is chilled and relaxing considering it’s located in very busy Southbank. I will definitely be coming back.

Sad to say I walked past this place for many years and now I have eaten in LIMIN restaurant it is one of my favourite places to eat in Southbank. Amazing Trinidadian cuisine and cocktails which makes you feel like you are in Trinidad. Thanks Wik and Sham for making our event amazing!

We stopped in here before lunch at Oxo - we went to the bar and were then told we had to sit down wait to order from a server. I popped to the ladies' while my friend duly sat, and waited .. and waited ... and when when the waiter finally came he told her she should just go to the bar since it was only drinks ... er .... ? Personally I wanted to use the loo and also adjust my bra (yes we girls do more than one thing in the loos!) - finding unisex stalls with no mirrors in them I had to stand in an open area where any man could walk in at any time, while I adjusted my top. I felt very uncomfortable. This new craze really doesn't take into account that private intimate spaces are necessary, for both sexes really, but many women have been victims of male abuse and harassment. I would not return.

Kieran, Chris and all the team and were amazing! We reserved a space for my daughters birthday and the team served us great food with impeccable service. From Wik who handled the reservation and Special thanks to Kieran who went above and beyond to make my daughter have her special day despite the obstacles with train strikes and everything else happening on the day. Thanks guys will definitely be back.

Came across this place with my friend, looking for somewhere to eat. Staff found us a table quickly and made order. We had a plate of doubles, trini puri. Jerk chicken with rice and peas and barbecue chicken with creamy potato salad. Food was nice, not as spicy as I thought it would be. Grateful for that as I'm a lightweight when it comes to pepper. Enjoyed the atmosphere. DJ played music and we sat in the open space. If you want there is a space to dance. Had a couple of nice rum punches. Will come again x

This place makes me feel AT HOME. I grew up in the Caribbean and miss this friendly family beach bar vibe. Sham is that charismatic owner who rules his kitchen, makes you welcome and will open up his kitchen after closing time when I promised my hungry friends from Trinidad that there was GOOD Trini food on the South Bank. If you want a real Caribbean experience on a rainy grey London day, go and lime ( hangout) at Limin.

Great food on a sunny August evening. Vibe was on point, DJ spun the classics that put a smile on everyone's faces. Highly recommended
