Tried the new menu, which was the new kebab on pita bread. Have to say it was lovely, couldn't fault it at all. Staff friendly and helpful

Entertainment here is fabulous and the staff are amazing (especially look after them that don't get out often and may have drank much!!! 🤣)

We are 4 ladies who meet up every couple of months for a meal and a catch up. Last night 7th February we had a meal at 8 towers . Not a lot if people in wd sat in the conservatory . We all had different meals and every meal was beautiful . Taste presentation and quantity. Can totally recommend this place and will be going back . The staff were lovely friendly and helpful . The tikka masala I had was gorgeous and the best nan bread I've ever tasted . Well done 👏

Went for food and a few drinks with the family, the service was spectacular. The food is delicious, you definetly get what you pay for. I would recommend the veg chilli or the cauliflower wings, and I confidently say I will be returning some time soon

Came here for tea with my partner the other day and we were so impressed at the quality of the food for the price! We paid less than £30 for 2 starters and 2 mains. Steak was cooked perfectly and hardly any fat which is usually the case at these kinds of pubs. Cheesy garlic bread was delicious! Only complaint was that they didn't have chocolate ice cream for my sundae so I had to have all vanilla which was a bit disappointing but overall we loved this place and would definitely come back and recommend!

Unless you are a regular, be prepared to wait for your drinks at the bar. Watching the man behind the bar chatting to someone on the other side of the bar knowing he’s seen you is infuriating! Regrettably had to food that was microwaved to perfection!

About 3 weeks ago my partner and myself went for a meal at around 5.30.We sat at one of the oblong booths to the left of the main door, I noticed after we had ordered our food that the backs of the fabric seating were stained and covered in food stains and marks, not nice!. When one of the staff came to ask us if we had enjoyed our meal i told her truthfully the food was good but pointed out the sticky food marks and stains on the seats, she said she would report it later and apologised. However we have just returned from a meal again, only table vacant was the one we had sat in last time...couldn't believe that not only were the food stains and sticky marks still there but more of them! and the table was sticky, are they not wiped down after the dirty plates etc are cleared away ready for the next set of eaters, not good enough! am disappointed that the cleaning staff have not picked up on it, the lack of hygiene around the tables and floor lets it down!

Good value for lunchtime meals. Good service with friendly staff. Only downside was chicken very dry.

Good menu choices and excellent value for money. I visited recently with friends and whilst the place was very busy when we first arrived the staff seemed more than able to cope as they went about their work in an efficient friendly manner.

The Eight Towers in Widnes is a fairly typical pub chain restaurant offering the usual pub classics, burgers, curries, and pizza. The food is the usual pre prepared offering, but perfectly acceptable. Mains cost around the £7.50 mark, but there are light bite, lunch, and special options available, including two fish, chips, and peas which we had on a Friday for £10 compared to the £7.45 each normal price. The pub itself is looking a little tired, but again, perfectly OK. Good for a quick meal, but not fine dining !

We tend to visit this pub whoever we are in the area for family reasons and, as a result, have a real soft spot for the eight towers. This time was no different, the food is not a gastronomic venture but is very reasonably priced and if you accept this fact it is very enjoyable. Always friendly and efficient service. Absolutely awful. I wouldn’t go there if you paid me. I ordered Cajun chicken and it was microwaved. Didn’t even taste of chicken and was rubbery. I was told by the waiting staff that he will tell the chef. Hahaha chef or microwave technician. Personally I’m going for the latter

I was there for lunch with a friend when I took ill. The staff were so helpful and kind. I was so grateful to them and can’t thank them enough. We have been there a lot in the past and always had a good meal of a very high quality. The conservatory is very pleasant and the service is very good

Stood at the bar at the same time as another gent, fair enough... One of the male staff members, then wandered around the bar for a minute before going to the over 18 bar area and found someone to serve! Annoying to be ignored... But hey maybe he thought the other barmaid was serving me. However when he came back round and she was talking to someone else and again he ignored me and served someone else! This is beyond an error, it’s picking and choosing... When I commented, he stated he saw someone at the bar area who was before me... Didn’t mention why he served the other rather embarrassed gent before me!

Cannot fault the quality of the food at the Eight Towers came in today for a snack and both had Toasties with curly fries and Salad well presented and piping hot would certainly recommend a try. Staff are very professional and welcoming

The nice thing about this place is that it doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. Is this the best food around? No. Is it simple and good value for money? Yes. If you keep that in mind you can enjoy yourself here.

We attended the Eight Towers in May for an evening meal,,, it was spot on! We all had the gammon and it was delicious..... we will definitely be returning. If you want a great meal,,, the eight towers is the pub for you !

We were looking last minute for a dog friendly bite on a nice sunny evening not having been for a long time we rang and checked how dog friendly they were and were informed that it was okay as long as the dog stayed outside and there was currently a 30 min wait on food. So off we went no probs to a dog friendly venue. The ordering system was very good. My partner and son ordered a mixed grill and I ordered the kickin chicken burger. When the food came out the light on the ordering device did its job the young lady who brought our food however needed a sharp lesson in good manners not only did she not ask who had ordered what she just plonked it down on t the table in front of me (all three plates) and left with out a word. My burger was very nice although the salad was pitiful 2 pieces of lettuce. Both my son and partner agreed the mixed grill was OK but the chicken was dry and there were no onion rings or tomato and their was no reason given for this as the server just left the food and disappeared and not wanting to make a fuss you only check afterwards. On the whole it was a nice time because we could take our dog but was very disappointed not by the quality of the food but by the service of delivery.

its a long time since we visited the eight tours,, we found the prices really good but only reflected the quality of the food,,we went as a family and they served two for one meals which was good but if you want better quality this will not be for you

Been here a few times has a great value menu 3 courses with a drink 7.99. However I found hair in my mushrooms the lady behind us had mould in her drink some form of fresh orange juice based drink. The manager tried to say the hair was part of the mushrooms but I didn't believe it as it was deffo only clumps of hair. Our last visit wasn't great at all.

Visited today and ordered the thursday steak special. It was just ok, we upgraded to a mixed grill on one of the plates. The chicken was a boiled piece of chicken no colour what so ever, it came with a sausage, gammon, egg and a small piece of steak all with chips. The chips were cold and my steak very fatty. The ladies serving were polite and friendly but did not spend enough time behind the bar. On the two occasions we went to the bar we had to wait a while. The plate I had felt dirty as if the underneath had not been washed , it looked ok but was rough. The food was a lot but not good quality and served cold. Not worth a return visit.
