Excellent cafe on Egham High Street. Never been there before but will definitely use again. Great menu, good atmosphere and very friendly staff. Give it a go

Having an MOT carried out so walked down the High Street for a cuppa and a bite, our Son text a couple of places this being one of them he said it was "BANGING!" He wasn't wrong. Very friendly efficient service very reasonably priced and really good food certainly worth going to.

Great wee place to grab a breakfast/brunch. Staff were really friendly and food was very good. We felt that it was a reasonable price. I had a salad which was fresh and lots of flavour.

Food was ok. Cafe is cute. Quick service time. Get what you pay for. Plenty of choice for a small cafe and high street location is good.

We ordered delivery this morning and it was absolutely fantastic! Slight mistake as we got a toastie instead of a pannini but still delicous! The french toast looks and tastes fantastic! Every time I order I am very happy.

This is about egham on toast in staines. As the staines branch conveniently does not have a page here. Awful service, extremely slow and rude staff wondering around from table to table asking if you ordered this. Been waiting 46 minutes for a coffee. Let alone the breakfast been in here in total 2 hours. No breakfast on site. Staff did not ask me if I wanted my receipt either. Just Awful will definitely not come ever again.

I called in today with wife , kids and mum , the staff were immediately friendly towards all of us , the food was fantastic shakes and smoothies were also very good . If I’m in the area again I will definitely pop back in .

I only started ordering via Ubereats because the service in the cafe itself is so painfully slow. Food is kept warm for hours, then put into metal containers which do not retain the heat and eventually given to Uber delivery drivers - the food is cold before it has even left the cafe. Rude staff who then have the temerity to blame Uber for their own dreadful service. I recommend avoiding this place at all costs

We with my wife on Sunday and we ordered poached egg on toast with beans ant tomatoes, the tomatoes tasted like vinegar and so did the so called hp sauce, the toast was slightly over cooked bread and absolutely no taste to the eggs, won't be going back in a hurry, sorry guys!!

Their website boasts 'Breakfast done right'.... well not really! Lady taking orders was very impatient. I wanted an English Breakfast but with fried tomato not tinned. Finally she got it. Grumpy or what. What was served was rubbish. The egg was broken so cooked solid, the tomato was 3 slices waved at a grill and everything was just tepid. Toast ... warm bread really. I later realised that she'd charged me extra for the tomato !!!! All in all an expensive and badly cooked breakfast in a tiny place staffed by irritable people. Don't think I bother again.

Looked forward to a visit to Eggham on Toast. Being local to the town I’d realised it was a place I needed to, at some point, try out. Unfortunately, the visit was anything but memorable. Upon arrival we were warned there was a 20 minute delay for all food orders; that was fine, I had time. The small building was already packed to the brim, not with customers but with family members and/or friends standing around and chatting quite loudly, probably delaying service by a mile. I’d ordered the Skinny Breakfast- consisting of Avocado, Toast, Tomatoes, Salmon and Poached Eggs. When it had arrived, the eggs were notably not poached, but instead fried, and quite runny and undercooked still. Salmon was obviously of poor quality; tough and hard. Toast was lathered with a thick layer of awfully coloured butter or marmalade, (and barely toasted), but worst of all was there poor presentation. Everyone knows avocado breakfasts are best served as smashed on toast, poached eggs and salmon on top. Quite forgettable. The service was passable, however all over the place and lack of professionalism or experience on all parts. When a couple left after waiting 40 minutes for their food and drinks, the waitress made a snarky comment about the woman. Terrible service, forgettable food and an awful shame. Much better at the other breakfast places on the high street.

This place not only has the most genius name or any cafe I have visited but also has the most lovely staff and food!! Very much worth a visit

30 minutes for poached eggs on toast while we listened room the staff row with two different Uber drivers. We will not be going back. The golden cafe is much better and cleaner just look at the state of the condiments -gross!

I visited on a Friday lunchtime for the excellent vegan tomato soup. It is very tasty as usually vegan food is blandness personified. It was a nice large portion and very reasonably priced. It was hot and perfect for a cold day.

They are advertised as having vegan options, but I doubt the vegan breakfast is actually vegan.First, we ordered the vegan option, and they offered us butter with it. Strike 1Second, you can see that the vegan sausages, hashbrowns and chips are fried in the same place as any meat product. Strike 2Third, the sausages with clearly meaty taste. We ask to see the brand they use, first they don’t get back to us at all, then nobody knows but the manager who isn’t there, all of this in a defensive sassy tone. Strike 3 and out!

The food is excellent, the service is very quick, in my opinion the best place in town if you like breakfast.

So...I had missed my favourite (and best club sandwich in London) and drove 40 minutes to Egham. Though they had shut down the oven and were cleaning up, they still hooked me up with my club sandwich!!!

Recently I twice ordered breakfast from here using the Just Eat website. The order was processed very well, but there were errors at the restaurant. First, I ordered extra bacon, but was sent an extra egg and the price was not corrected. Next time I ordered extra bacon, but it was missing, as were the mushrooms. Also their 10-25 minutes delivery estimate on Just Eat was seriously wrong, and it took well over an hour to arrive. It was not as hot as usual.

My partner and i just visited here for the first time and are over the moon to finally find somewhere that does a high quality and reasonably priced breakfast. The pancakes were lovely and fluffy, my only slight complaint is that I wish they came with more bacon. All in all a lovely place and we will definitely be returning.

We came to your little cafe yesterday while out for a stroll through Egham and was drawn in because of the brilliant word play.

Myself and partner ordered a club sandwich, panini and chips from this cafe via Uber Eats. As new customers we were shocked to find that our straight forward order arrived well below par. Our club sandwich failed to include ingredients as advertised on their menu (bacon, egg & mayonnaise in particular) contained inedible/off looking salad and was awful to taste. Our ham and cheese panini included thick ham which was extremely salty and very hard to chew which made it almost impossible to eat.

If you are looking for somewhere for breakfast, be it with friends, family or the kids, then give Egham on Toast a try. There’s plenty of choice (including pancakes with buttermilk chicken), the service is always friendly and the prices are very reasonable.

Great local specialities, if you would like to adventure into breakfast / brunch items. Delicious coffee, and great atmosphere ! Strongly recommend for casual dining.

Our normal cafe was closed and we wanted something on the way to the airport so tried this place. Really good food and loads of choice even for someone who is gluten intolerant. Highly recommended

I had a breakfast here. She freshly cooks everything. It wasn't anything special. Ordinary okay breakfast. The size of the portion could be improved.

Looks like a greasy spoon and has wooden boxes instead of chairs but its food is exquisite and the staff are very pleasant. One of the finest breakfasts I've had anywhere. Must return soon.

Arrived at Heathrow from the USA this morning and all I wanted was a hot English breakfast. Found Eggham on Toast through a bit of internet research and made a beeline straight there. Was NOT disappointed. Plump sausage, farm fresh fried egg with a golden runny yolk, thick bacon, grilled tomatoes, generously sliced toast, scalding hot tea.... perfection! To top it off, the cafe had a warm and welcoming vibe. It’s the kind of place you could come back to time and again and feel at home. Considering this was my first meal on British soil in over four years, I’m grateful it was at Eggham on Toast.

This delightful cafe located at the bottom of Egham High street is tucked away and easy to miss. However, the welcoming decor, friendly staff and hearty food really make it stand out. There is a great choice of breakfast options and little touches make the experience far superior to other cafe's in the area; the flowers on the table, thick, fresh toast and fair prices. We'll certainly be back!

I love this tiny, cosy cafe for its tasty food and friendly service. The menu offers a wide range of breakfast and lunch choices, with the flexibility to build your own. As a coeliac and a vegan, my options are usually extremely limited in many restaurants, but here, I can always find something to suit my appetite and it is freshly cooked and served with a warm smile. My favourite place for breakfast and I go here very often!

Just left this lovely little find. Breakfast all came quickly and everyone finished their plates. Fried bread was fresh and made with crusty bread and the chips were like homemade old fashioned ones. Only small and snug but they made us very welcome.

Stopped in egham on the way home from gatwick. This cafe is at the end of the high street. To be honest we were attracted by the name and on the window advertised they did eggs benedict, my favourite. My partner had an omlette with lots of meat, it was huge and very tasty. The eggs florentine was to die for, perfectly cooked eggs and lashings of holundaise sauce. A decent size cup of tea too. The only reason it didnt get 5 stars is they are rennovating the place at the moment and it looks quite half done.

When I went there, I ordered the full English and it came at a reasonable time but when I cut into one of my tomatoes, I was disgusted to find one of the largest caterpillars I’ve ever seen in my life, there, lying in my tomato. I do not recommend going here for food.

Lovely service great food and child friendly it’s always busy. With such a small space they still manage to make it comfortable for all.

We are here from Canada, as a stopover prior to a long flight. We loved our breakfast experience - hot cooked, generous portions, excellent quality. But what sets this place apart from other good breakfast restaurants is the attentive charming service. Five stars for service for sure!

Usually, I love coming here and the previous experiences I've had were brilliant, however, on this occasion the customer service was poor. Firstly, ordering the food took a considerable amount of time, and there was poor communication between staff to customer. Secondly, I always order the same thing of the menu, however this time it was served cold after only 10 minutes of waiting. Usually its hot and the cheese is melted. I informed the waitress of this to which she rudely replied that it was always served that way and perhaps i had a different chef- when i've only ever seen one chef working there. I've ordered the same meal countless times and this time it was not pleasant paired with the response i received. The waitress didn't offer reconciliation or any alternative, she simply walked away. This made me feel as if I were being an inconvenience to the staff, when I've paid for good food and would expect to not have inconsistency ( who wants cold food). The customer service was seriously lacking today, which is such a shame because it is a great establishment; if this continues, I'll go elsewhere :(

You might easily pass this one by as it is small and somewhat un noticeable, but keep an eye out for it and check it out! You will not be disappointed! Good all day breakfast menu that fulfills your need to have a full english breakfast plus! Great build your own full english item that adds a few extras to a traditional favorite. Friendly service.

My friend invited me to lunch here for a catch up and after hearing what she had to say and what I read in the reviews my expectations were high. I was extremely disappointed. On arrival the window sill was dirty, there were uncleared plates on a table and an assistant plonked her drink replenishment stock on our table that had not been wiped down and was full of sugar or salt. The table menu was dirty and dogeared. I asked the assistant what type of fish they served with the fish and chips, to which she screamed to the kitchen staff as she did not know. They did not have stock anyway. I settled for a safe bet, with a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel, no cooking required. It was, what it was. I think the owners/management need to take a good look at the cafe, give it a good clean up and get rid the notices etc that make it look dirty and untidy. The kitchen area could do with a clean up as well. Food is important but there is more than that to an establishment. Attention to detail and cleanliness required. Perhaps I give it another try during the summer to see if they have made improvements.

Requested only 2 poached eggs on Brown toast with bacon and they were delivered quickly, on a hot plate, and of high quality - not greasy and perfectly cooked. The room is small and tightly packed, clean and nicely laid out with red check tablecloths. Decent cutlery provided. Friendly service.

Eggham on Toast has a great choice of options for that week-end breakfast feeling. Staff is friendly and breakfast consistently good, with a favourite for the King John's!

We often have discrete lunch meetings here to discuss sensitive issues away from the office environment but yesterday we were shocked and alarmed by the discovery we were being watched by CCTV cameras - with NO WARNING NOTICES visible which of course is illegal. This is such a shame as we find the food and atmosphere really quite nice but now we will have to find elsewhere to meet and dine.

Plenty of choice here and all cooked to order so you will have to wait a bit but it is well worth it. There are set menu breakfasts or you can build you own from the menu. All include toast and tea/coffee. Great service from friendly staff.

Really happy with my visit to Eggham on Toast, went with four friends and we were all very happy with our food. Will definitely return, perfect cure for a hangover! Great choice on the menu to suit a low to medium budget and they also offer student discount.

The catchy name reeled me in and I was not disappointed.Good menu options, including child options. Food was excellent . Great service from what looked to be the owner. Young girl who took our order was extremely pleasant but needs to be a little bit more attentive.

We saw this restaurant on a walk from our hotel to the Ogham train station. We cam back the next morning for breakfast. Small place, very busy. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. 7 pounds for eggs, bacon, avocado, tomatoes & toast. Very friendly service.

I went for a lovely breakfast with my family on Friday and Saturday as I was attending a wedding in the area. All I can say is that the food was amazing, cafe was super busy, and their food was delicious. We waited aprox 15 mins for our food, but the wait was worth it. We were told when ordering the food is freshly cooked and we were therefore, more than happy to wait as many similar cafes have pre cooked food and you can taste it.The people are extremely friendly and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Went here for breakfast it was disorganised the food took forever to arrive and witnessed a baguette being made on the same area as a pile of dirty dishes. Sausages were overcooked egg looked like it was cooked yesterday and when I went to pay with card I was charged extra to use it, come on its 2016 and I was already spending about £17. I was then lead to a cupboard where they keep the card machine and made to feel like I was a nuisance as I didn't have cash. Seriously if you're after better quality breakfast go next door to Hugos.

My wife, son and I visited recently after staying in a travelodge close by. It's a nice little place, however we found it to be quite expensive. We "built" our own breakfasts since the breakfasts on the menu "could not be changed" which I thought was daft. Not everyone wants chips on their breakfast, so I ended up spending over £8 on 1 breakfast. Unfortunately when it did arrive, the bacon was cremated and the sausage was not much better. Coffee was pretty tasteless too.

Good selection of breakfast choices, mostly reasonably priced. Coffee nice but a bit small - latte was the size of a cappuccino. Tea rather weak. No sucralose sweetener on table for diabetes. Ketchup in plastic bottles like a transport cafe and inclined to squirt one's neighbour. Another table was having trouble choosing between confusing breakfast descriptions. Eggs Royale was generous, but on a bagel, which was a bit chewy - a muffin is more usual.

Had Eggs royal lovely. Staff were brilliant. Good food, good company, happy staff. The salmon was just perfect. Free wifi. Time for cake. Work don't seem so bad with a treat

I work around the corner from this cafe and visit it every Friday for lunch. The food is always fresh and tastes better each time I visit!The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is always great. Staff are always smiling and always like to ensure that everything is okay, by asking you if you need anything else.I will continue going to Eggham on Toast every Friday for lunch as its the best cafe in town!

My husband, son and I visited this cafe at the weekend as we were in the area and this place caught our eye. It was a very pleasant experience from the moment we entered. We were welcomed with smiles and the waitress spent time to go over the vegetarian options with us. Even though they were starting to get busy at no point did we feel rushed to eat up and leave. There is a lot of variety in the menu with many veg options.They were willing to adapt the veg panini that I went for which was nice, as again I wasn't made to feel that I was putting them out or anything.The staff were very attentive to their customers.We will definitely be going back!
