Barely any meat , £31 just enough for a hungry working man , jokers

We ordered via food hub, food was cold on arrival. Food pictured did not represent what was delivered, tried to return food for a refund, owner refused to help or refund us. Disgusting customer service! Took our money and our food! Avoid, avoid. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else. Owner does not care about his customers and very rude.

Falafels were bad, too crispy and dry, hummus was decent and chips were awful - would not recommend

Probably one of the best Turkish food restaurants in Taunton. Fresh and full of flavour their mixed next along with Efesfamily special is wonderful, great value for money! The staff are great, extremely attentive and friendly. Eaten there a few times and would recommend

Lad is absolutely rude. So just had to walk out of the place. If you make it up to that restaurant all the best to you.

Less food, more money. Not worth the price. Not real turkish food to be honest. They actually charge £15 pounds for this one piece of chicken with some chips.

Doesn’t deserve one star they are fraudulent they care more about money than customer satisfaction I paid £14 for lamb shish rap with Patlican with bread and the portion was stupidly ridiculous for the price, half of the rap had meat half not and there was barely even a hand full of chips the waitress had a really bad attitude and when the bread ran out I asked the man can I have some more bread he starts laughing at me trying to impose I’m fat or something, if the restaurant was good/serious the grill would have been lit in the morning not when I walked in that just proves that the restaurant is bad, Please don’t come here this is literally fraud typical Turks very expensive but food quality is very bad. do not go here YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I would give 0 stars if I could. My husband and I went out to eat on Sunday night, we are Turkish food lovers, but the way we were served and the food left something to be desired. By the way, I was charged £5 for a salad that was neither on the menu nor on the receipt. Where did he deduce that this is the price? Very bad behaviour from the owner/manager. No wonder the place had little or no customers at times.

I really think the business ought to review the management working at this branch. No wonder the place had little to no customers. All worked out in the end though! We found a great place to eat up the road, and glad we didn't waste our money...cash only mind you.

I really had high hopes for this place. Turkish food has been my favorite since I was a small boy and so was deeply hoping for a good result. Unfortunately the reality was far from good. The food was poor… definitely in the bottom 3 places I have ever eaten. To add insult to injury the previous reviews about poor customer service were also on full show. Personally my interaction with the owner over something as simple as taking the order was very curt and arrogant, with no change when it came to pay. Finally do NOT come here if you are a family and have kids under 10. Some of us had the unfortunate experience of watching the owner kicked out a family because their 3yr old started crying after she accidentally bit her cheek. The mother was doing what mums do and was trying to console her daughter but after about 30 secs the owner came over and asked them to leave because” you can not control your daughter and you shouldn’t come to restaurants unless you can!” The father tried to explain but he wouldn’t hear it, instead stating that the child was disturbing the “entire restaurant”. It should be noted that the was the total of 7 customers in the restaurant, 4 of which where the family in question! The couple in the corner spoke up and said not an issue for them. The father asked about getting food to go, but again the owner said no and please leave. It really was a disgusting and disappointing situation to witness and after the family left the owner never once apologized but instead kept disturbing the rest of us with comments like “don’t you agree, they should stay home, etc?” Everyone remained silent and just left as quickly as possible. A real shame… because Turkish food done correctly is wonderful!!

Do not go to this restaurant if you don't want to be insulted. Customer service was beyond poor. Can't review the food because I didn't stay long enough for the food to come out. Stay away. Only giving a star because I have to.

I usually avoid this place because it's often empty however after having sat in for a meal I really can't understand why it's not bustling and busy. The food was amazing, there was even a good selection for vegetarians. The staff were lovely and overall we had an amazing time. Beware that it's cash only (but there is a cash point nearby. I'm definitely going in for a meal again!

This is my favourite place to eat in Taunton. Not pretentious - just fresh high quality Turkish food.

As a dining experience - the worst I have ever had! Booked table, when we arrived not even a "hello" just a blank face. Waited for 15 minutes before being approached, in silence, for order to be taken. Everyone in restaurant was dressed in thick coats and hats, it was that cold! Staff only talked to their friends. So busy talking to friends we tried countless times to get attention but just ignored. Food was terrific, but if you don't speak the Turkish language, stay home! The main business is takeaway, that you pay for by bank card, but if you eat in restaurant is cash only. If you go ad a group who has that much cash on them?

Exceptional food, service, welcome and value

Found this place by chance. Amazing grilled food very clean atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was made fresh on site. Will definitely recommend and pop in again if I do come this way .

Used to be my favourite place to eat in Taunton. But since the recent increase in COL, the meat portion sizes have got considerably smaller. I would prefer to pay more & have the meat amount stay the same!

Always great kebabs - nice fresh salads - tasty and not at all greasy. Fresh orange juice delicious.

Worst restaurant ever!! Food was cold and service was terrible!!!

We have enjoyed Efes takeaway and delivery meals several times this year. Each time we were amazed at the very generous quantities and wonderful flavours. Passing by the restaurant one evening we decided to have our meal there. We were kindly greeted and we enjoyed the delightful fragrances of our food as it was prepared within view. By the end of our meal we felt like family as we talked with friendly staff. Whether eating in, taking away or arranging delivery, the food is generous in quantity and very delicious.

This place is a hidden gem, staff are always attentive and friendly and even better the traditional Turkish cuisine is amazing!

Was not sure at first as had a cafe feel about it rather than a restaurant however, really enjoyed our visit. The staff were lovely and the food was great. The drink choice is limited but we were ok with that as we had visited a local pub. It was nice to try something different.

Only had a takeaway but the food is great and the portion size is well worth the price. Would highly recommend

Food's tasty, but could be served a bit hotter. I doubt that anyone likes cold chicken in a sandwich. Chicken and meat are halal. The place takes cash only, so be prepared. And the ATM within walking distance charges 1 pound per withdrawal.

We often come here as a little family (myself, partner and 5 year old) after swimming and its always AMAZING. By far the best food in Taunton, and also food that doesn't make you feel like you need to go on a diet afterwards due to the wonderful big salads. We love you Efes! 😍

We tried this place on a whim as a collection takeaway and wasn't really sure what to expect but the food was amazing, freshly cooked and very sizeable portions. The staff also seemed very friendly, we will go again! Also was really pleasantly surprised by the Turkish bread, a must try!

Excellent food - very tasty and decent sized portions. The restaurant itself was a tiny bit cold - no doubt because of the energy costs. Otherwise, highly recommended.

We ordered the large mixed grill platter and it was delicious. It was for two adults and two children and we had leftovers for the next day as well. The meat just melted in our mouths. The hummus was spot on and the sauces were perfect. The best dolma I’ve had as well. The staff were nice and helpful. We ordered via their app for collection. Couldn’t be any easier. Well done Efes. Booked a table a few weeks in advance. Don’t hear anything and turn up to a closed restaurant saying they are on holiday!

The grill kebab was amazing, the vegetarian kebab half burnt and cash only policy! What's that on about?

Had a takeaway from Efes via UberEats last month, and my partner and I were both impressed! I had the excellent value chicken shish & lamb shish combo which came with rice, a colourful healthy salad and Turkish bread and my partner had a halloumi wrap and yummy dolma. It arrived quickly, was very tasty and the protions were a good size so we will definitely order again or go in to the restaurant in person to try!

Of all the restaurants around the world that I have been to this has to be the most unfriendly place I've ever been, over priced too and my partner and I were both ill.

If you like Turkish cuisine then this us the place to go and enjoy authentic Turkish food.. Lamb ribs are the best!

Had an excellent meal. Chicken shish was excellent, came with loads of trimmings. More than enough food for any child or adult. Really nice. Will definitely be getting takeaway again. Next time we’ll eat in! Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

The first few times I ate here I couldn’t complain if I tried. Was exceptional. Recently it’s gone down hill completely. Customer service skills have gone down; food went from quality to quite terrible; don’t know what’s changed if it’s the chef or the food supplier but isn’t the quality it used to have.

Top quality, as always. Buying food from them for almost 2 years and quality never dropped. 100% recommend

Great freshly cooked food. I would've given a 5 but the service was a bit slow. Friendly and huge portions. Very good value too. They only serve soft drinks, beer and cider. You can take your own wine for a corkage fee of £2 - amazing. Best to book especially at the weekend.

As someone who used to live in turkey, i know my turkish food. And this place is phenomenal. Ive never eaten in, but they are kind enough to bring over free cay (turkish tea) whilst you wait. I think the prices are very reasonable, we always get the big takeaway family deal between 3 or 4 of us, plenty to go around. We always buy extra rice though, theres just something special about turkish rice, its delicious!

This is quite an unassuming little restaurant come take away. Friendly staff and the food was on point. Halloumi starters, mixed kebab and a Baklava to finish. Lovely.

As ever, really scrumptious food. Fresh and good mix of salads, meat and creamy dairy. They also have a really clean transparent front door...you have been warned!

Really tasty Turkish food, excellent value for money. Service was good but not in your face. A hidden gem. Don't go in expecting fine decor - it is part restaurant part takeaway, but the food more than makes up for this.

The food was brilliant, we both had different meals and both were super tasty. The staff are very friendly and the food is great value for money. Only slight downside is it was very cold in there, but in fairness it was about freezing point outside! Will definitely be back regardless.
