Ed's Easy Diner - Cardiff in Cardiff

Came here with friends from work, was served by the lovely Niah (Apologies if misspelt). I was the liability of the group with multiple dietary requirements. The service we received was amazing! Niah was very informative, gave me a tablet to note my dietary requirements to assist with menu choices, and came back to the table to ensure everything was OK and to update us if and when needed. The customer service level really was above and beyond. It was truly appreciated, as i get anxious eating out. She is a credit to the company, i will definitely go there again, and I highly recommend! Thankyou! ^_^

Great food Grandson loved his huge milkshake!! They even topped a mini one with cream and cookies for our younger grandaughter. Young guy who served us was really helpful and pleasant . Food arrived quickly and was delicious. Enjoyed by all

Had a burger that was the size of a mcdonalds cheese burger, delicious but tiny. Had mac'n'cheese as a side, macaroni was over cooked and mushy. Service could have been better, polite but a smile goes a long way especially when dealing with children. Not the worst experience but will not be my first choice.

We have been here before and really enjoyed it..so thought we'd repeat the experience and it was great, we ordered at the table via the QR code ..very quick and easy, the food was lovely and the servers were very pleasant. 2nd visit, 2nd great experience 👍👍👍

We stopped here for lunch on my partners birthday. After many times of walking past over the past year or so thinking it looks like a good place to eat we decided to try Ed’s Out! We were not disappointed. Fast service, hot and tasty food, amazing milkshakes. We ordered 1x Burger, onion rings, 1x Bacon Hotdog, 1x Strawberry milkshake and 1x Oreo Milkshake. Incredibly friendly staff, young female waitress in particular (unsure of her name!) We were explaining how we were staying at the secret garden glamping and she shared that she had stayed there also and hoped we had a great time! Stopped in for some lunch on our day out in Cardiff City centre. Food was lovely as was the atmosphere and the member of staff who served us particularly was very friendly, even wished us a happy anniversary! Would recommend 😁

We're very careful about dietary requirements. Took real care and gave great service. Took allergies seriously. Can't ask for better.

Food was not good this time. Usually better than this. Had the full breakfast. Mushrooms cold, tinned and insipid possibly boiled or microwaved at some point. Hash browns greasy and overcooked. Toast barely cooked. Sqdly crossed off the list now. Not table checked but limited staff on floor who were busy.

It was great after the rugby, I liked it.

Jose was are waiter today and I must say his customer service was amazing 👏 he was kind and collected also very smartly dressed would recommend to a friend or 2 one of the top places in the building 🥳

The food was divine, the burger was beyond succulent and satisfied my hunger. Additionally, the service from our server Leo was pleasant and professionally quick paced. Definitely a restaurant to visit!

We come to Ed’s Diner for Lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Tosin was our waitress and greeted us at the front door and showed us to our seats, she was very welcoming and polite. The restaurant was relatively empty, but the atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant to be within. Our food was delivered by Tosin in a timely manner, was piping hot and delicious too. Would definitely recommend anyone in the area to visit Ed’s if they’re looking for a delicious lunch and pleasant experience. Big thanks to Tosin our waitress and the kitchen staff too!

Its been a few years since I visited ed's diner, and the food was always great, but on my recent visit I have to say the food quality was very poor, even the cheese on top of the burger wasn't melted, just a hard square peace, just seems to have gone down hill

Was really impressed by the range of vegan options. I enjoyed the buffalo (not) chicken burger, can't remember its exact name. Waffle fries were so so good and good portions for the price!

We went at a quiet time to be fair but it was good service, good food and reasonable prices and luckily they had dairy free alternatives for the milkshakes

Eds is always my go to place while in Cardiff their burgers are great quality and really tasty. I've tried loads of peanut butter shakes but theirs is definitely the best. We were seated really quickly and it was quite busy so I was pleasantly surprised. Niyah served us and she had really good energy and was so lovely. She also asked us if we wanted some water which I never think of but it's so good to have on the table. Staff really make a big difference and she was great

Disappointing experience. Service extremely slow - wasn’t even busy. Cutlery was dirty. Pudding was brought out before we had the mains. I explained we hadn’t received our mains and he still left the pudding. Waited 40mins plus for food. Chips were cold. Would not go here for food again 😟

Fantastic establishment, had the filthy texan burger and honestly won't have another one for a while, that burger hit all the right spots, our server Niyah was 10/10, friendly and informative on any questions we had, will definitely recommend

Ours was an experience of almost two different Ed's Diners. We ate breakfast twice, the Wednesday and the Friday. The Wednesday team were amazing, helping store our suitcases out of the way as we had just arrived in Cardiff, helpful with allergy information and were overall friendly and welcoming. Especially the lovely waitress named Lucy. The food that day was pristine. The Friday team not so much. It felt like our family had interrupted their hang out session. Upon hearing the allergies rather than work with us they completely removed the option of milkshakes from our table. One of our plates had a hair in it, admittedly one not the fault of any of the staff as they weren't matching but the plate also came with mushrooms we had asked to be removed. The man running the shift offered a new plate, but quickly returned with the same food obviously scraped onto a fresh plate as the eggs still has mushrooms stuck to them. The server also made our daughter's "make your own pancakes" herself before bringing it late to the table, ruining it slightly for her. Overall a great place to relax and eat let down by one shift of staff.
