This restaurant is inside the theatre, which was unexpected. The staff are very friendly, and the food was delicious. The menu is really interesting

Great night out with friends. Food amazing, cocktails strong and sweet, staff friendly and attentive. PBJ Chicken Burger to kill for.

Absolutely fantastic food and atmosphere in a lovely setting the staff and owner's couldn't do enough to help was there with my 6 year old daughter they made plenty of her which really means a lot if your in Scarborough it's a must you go have an extensive menu something for everyone really is first class thank you 😊

We have been visiting Eat Me Cafe for a fair few years now since moving to Scarborough. It's the perfect place to meet friends for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Or even for just a quick coffee and cake. I'm so impressed by the varied menu and the huge range of beers, wines and cocktails on offer. So far I have sampled breakfasts , lunches and dinners and each visit has always been excellent. The staff are always very friendly and informative. Me and my partner are vegetarian but there has always been a great choice of meals and snacks on offer. In fact most meat based dishes offer a vegetarian or vegan alternative. There are always some daily specials on offer too which are displayed on a retro large blackboard. The venue is inside the Stephen Joseph Theatre so it's right in the centre of Scarborough. The service is pretty quick and the staff always check in with you to make sure everything is OK. The portion sizes are generous and value for money. From bento boxes to hearty burgers there is something new to try each time you visit. The Eat Me Cafe is one of my favourite places to visit.... And our friends who have accompanied us have all agreed that it's a great place to wine and dine. Don't leave Scarborough without a visit to Eat Me Cafe... You won't be disappointed.

Had seen it was dog friendly and I was not disappointed staff were great and welling to me and my dog and the food was great just I had a small dish of chicken satay and fries which were both excellent. A suspect a little hidden gem

I make sure I come here every time I visit Scarborough. It was very busy last night, but the staff were attentive and friendly. The food, as ever, was amazing. I've never had a bad experience here.

Popped in for the first time tonight after nearly missing out as tried booking online and it didn't work at first. I'm glad I managed to call through to someone they managed to get me in last minute and had us seated 15 mins earlier than our booking time as we got there early. The staff could not be more helpful such friendly people and great service from everyone that served us throughout the night. The food was amazing for someone so fussy like me..(I had to ask for certain items removed from the dish and they did without question) Can honestly say not many places like this around here anymore we had such a good night and to top it off it was our 12th anniversary.. Cannot recommend this place enough and I'll be sure to add it to the monthly agenda. Thanks again to everyone there you made it a great night for us both. Reece.

Amazing lunchtime meal. I had an Asian curry and rice type meal and my son had Macaroni cheese with bacon. Large portions and lots of meat. Staff friendly and welcoming and a nice atmosphere. Food very reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again.

The best!! Went with partner and toddler , as we do every few weeks, and it never disappoints no matter how busy. Always made to feel welcome, they go above and beyond- plus the food is gorgeous. An absolute treat!

We had our work Christmas lunch at Eat Me and as usual the food was delicious. The lunch was for 12 people and I must say the organisation of the meal was excellent. Everyone got exactly what they ordered with no mix ups. The staff were great, the food delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful. Thank you Eat Me. Everyone enjoyed themselves.

Amazing little cafe, I've not visited since before COVID hit and they moved into the Stephen Joseph Theatre but I'm pleased to say after my latest visit they're still my favourite lunch spot in Scarborough. Vegan/vegetarian options are clearly labelled as are gluten free options or substitutions. Their fried tofu ramen is still my favourite thing on the menu and they have a great range of cake options - again dietary options clearly labelled. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

We now live in Derbyshire, but when we return to the Scarborough area, this is our first choice. It was great to see it so busy at a mid week lunchtime. Staff are always friendly and there's a good atmosphere. Food is always great. Varied, tasty, and well presented. We had Donburi with chicken breast with Thai green curry and meat balls with walnut pesto, salad and chips. All faultless. Our other choices would be to have the black pepper sauce with the meat balls and I particularly like Korean Fried Chicken. We'll done again. See you again soon.

This is a hidden gem! Inside the theatre so it’s easy to miss. We walked past following maps! We are both vegan and the meals are outstanding. Fabulous staff and lovely Christmas atmosphere. Amazing. Highly recommended.

The menu was extensive but the quality of the fare was only average. Service was adequate but appeared somewhat disorganised. All the staff tried hard and said all the right things but it was an average lunch. A pity because there is pretty well nowhere else to go in Scarborough for a decent pre theatre lunch.

Very cool spot with a full menu. You're guaranteed to find something you'll enjoy. Very welcoming, friendly staff who are knowledgeable on the dishes, and if you're struggling to decide, they'll help you choose... something invaluable to me as I'm crap at making decisions, especially when faced with such great choice! Ramen and donburi both packed full of flavour with soft moist chicken/belly pork and very generous portion sizes. Miles better than a well known high street restaurant... Well worth the drive from Ripon. We enjoyed it so much we're returning for breakfast 😋

Wow 10/10 met with friends for lunch and monthly catch up group of 6 we had booked before hand so seated right away. All chose different things and all very happy with food. If you don’t know what to pick I’d suggest the meatballs absolutely amazing we will be returning

Well........ Back at one of my favourite places to eat we ended up at Eat Me Cafe & Social after a long walk along Marine Drive. Managed to bag a table for a late lunch so I was really happy. For my drink I ordered a Biscoff milkshake,absolutely delicious and definitely need the recipe 😋 Mum & Dad sampled the Red Stripe lager 🤣🤣 Ordered plenty including my all time favourite the EATZAA....Its not a pizza 😉 Mum & Dad ordered the 3 plates for £16.50 which consisted of the Japanese Gyoza Chicken Dumplings,Eat Me Chicken Satay,Korean Dakgangjeong and a couple of extras which was Hoisin Pork Bao bun and onions rings with a curried mayo. All dishes arrived hot,smelling good the chicken still really moist. Proper comfort food that makes you feel all warm inside especially in these grey,gloomy wet days. The best place to eat in Scarborough. Hands-down. Everytime I'm in the area I book myself in, been going for years. Love the variety of cakes, the delicious burgers but especially the flavoursome Thai food. Packed with taste and deliciousness.

I have been a patron on Eat Me since it first opened years ago. I have seen how hard the team work to make the Eat Me Experience so special. These guys travel the world to bring back new , exciting recipes on the ever changing specials board whilst the old staple dishes feel like coming home. The service is exceptional. This really is a gem of a find. If you come to Scarborough, don’t miss out. But book in advance - it’s a busy place for obvious reasons. 🔥

This is mine and my partner’s favourite restaurant, we’re from Huddersfield so we make trips to Scarborough just for this! We first came to eat me cafe on our first holiday together in 2020, and we try to come as often as we can (as students this isn’t as much as we’d like unfortunately!) There’s a great range of choices for all dietary preferences and I’ve never had a meal which isn’t amazing, I can’t wait for when we are able to return :)

Me and a friend met for brunch. The establishment was nice, staff were pleasant, the menu is nothing special but unfortunately for us both the food was completely tasteless.

I've eaten here lots of times - it's my main reason for visiting Scarborough! The staff are lovely and always accommodating and the food is fantastic. I nearly always have the satay bowl as it's my favourite thing to eat out anywhere. If you're thinking of visiting, just do it. Oh, and the chips are some of the best you can get!

Hit and miss. Sometimes food is lovely, sometimes not so. I think I've just been unlucky with the misses, like getting my order wrong a couple of times, and not very nice tasting food (I'm not being picky, others on table who tried my food agreed), however when it's a hit it's really nice. It's a shame the ambience of the place let's it down, no atmosphere since it moved premises, you're lucky if you get a seat im the nain window which can help a little bit. It's best to book as I've been turned away a few times, especially at busy times like a Saturday lunch time, there is however what appears to be lots of space for more tables as it's quite spaced out and looks quite bare. Of a dinner time, there tends to be hardly anything left on the specials board, but there's lots of good options on the main menu. Some of the items on the specials board are on it most of the time and quickly sell out, these would be a great addition to the main menu.

Eat Everything Vegan If you want a window seat book in advance. Lots of space and not over crowded like some places in Scarborough. A super menu with lots of vegan options to choose from too. Roti Cania £6. Having eaten this in India and Bangladesh as a staple breakfast for months on end, I’d say it tasted as good, which is amazing because it usually has egg, butter and condensed milk in it. This vegan version was flaky on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside with a buttery taste. The sauce was really good but a thick curry dal would have been better as it sticks better than a runny sauce. With two rotis, it was as great sharing plate. EMC Baked Vegan Mac’N’Cheese £12.50 Honestly, we thought they screwed up and given us real cheese. It looked too cheesy, crispy too but melted perfectly with oil exuding from it and stringy with a cheesy aroma. It was the best vegan mac’n’cheese we’ve had. They use a mixture of vegan cheeses with a runny one inside mixed with engevita, then scheese on top. Faultless. Spicy Asian Vegan Donburi Rice Bowl £13. A large bowl. Really nice and I like spice but it overpowered me and my partner who likes a Phall! It wasn’t a hidden depth of spice in the mouth which is tolerable, but a nasty sting to the tip of the tongue with dissipated after 10 mins. I think it was from the hot Paprika powder scattered all over it. It tasted good but too harsh. Would I recommend. Certainly. Scarborough hasn’t enough places with good vegan options and ‘Eat Me’ would fit into any city. Would I go back. Yes, we’re going to go back this weekend.

We haven't been to the new venue & whilst the theatre bar is large & roomy it felt a bit cold & cavernous compared to the previous building the cafe was in. It is very central tho. Moved from old premises to the first floor cafe of the nearby Stephen Joseph Theatre. A lovely open space. The food here is consistently great with a broad menu to suit most tastes and moods. Staff ace too.

What is there to say this place is the best eatery in Scarborough if not the world. Everything about it is amazing the atmosphere, the decor, the staff and especially the food - the hardest thing is deciding what to eat as everything on the menu will blow you away!
