The Hideout in Scarborough

To be honest, I was a little dissapointed with our first ever visit here today. I have heard lots of positive things about the hideout so we decided to give it a go. We went for the boro burger, it was nice, a little on the smaller side for the price, the chips were well seasoned and the taters were tasty. Some of the burger was pink in the middle which was a bit off putting. We walked in and couldn’t find anyone so had to find our own booked table, not too much of an issue. The food came quick, roughly about 20 mins. We asked for the bill, we waited over 10 mins and no one brought it, it wasn’t busy. 3 Staff were stood at the bar area talking so I had to keep looking over to see what was going on, I assume they forgot so had to go up to pay. A large family tables order appeared to be all mixed up by the sounds of it and another couple were asking for a refund. By all means the food was good, but in my opinion customer service could be improved.

The burgers were great and the staff were really nice and friendly. The chicken strips were massive ! Looks like they had some tasty cocktails too

Amazing service from Jordan, Megan, and the entire team at Hideout! We’ve visited before and will definitely be back. The kids (twins) were completely entertained with games, Lego and PlayStation, making it a perfect family spot. Plus, Hideout is Scarborough’s top gluten-free restaurant, our daughter absolutely loves the gluten-free menu here!

Great food, great service! The food came quickly and Jordan and Megan were very friendly and helpful (my dog also liked them!)

Visited with a group of friends, 8 in total for an evening meal. Greeted by Megan, our friendly & helpful waitress and seated at our table. Between us, we selected 4 starters, onion rings, cheesy tots and garlic bread which were lovely. Eight main courses (Pizza, classic Parmo and burgers) were served a little later and whilst personally, I had no complaints (other than my fries could have been a little warmer), four of the group were served food that was barely warm. A little disappointing to be honest and below the standards of a previous visit however, when the issues were brought to Megan’s attention, the matter was dealt with efficiently and appropriately with a discount applied. I’m sure it was perhaps just an off night and I will return.

Delicious food to accommodate all our dietary needs. Very friendly staff (Helen and Megan), and super relaxed, friendly environment!

Great little spot, at the end of the road we were staying on for a short break. Really nice vibe and decor, amazing food and drink. Staff were also super welcoming and friendly. We wish we could tip on card!

Meal was very good tasty a big shout out to Helen who looked after us excellent at her job if anyone is in Scarborough I would recommend they go to this restaurant it was out of season a limited menu but still enough had a burger can honestly say the best burger I have had in any restaurant highly recommend this restaurant

Great place to go for food and a chill! Very welcoming, fast service and the atmosphere is amazing! Food on point and very reasonably priced can not go wrong! We will deffo be back!

Excellent pizzas. The best we have had in Scarborough. Really tasty. Would definitely recomend eating here. Good service and beautiful venue😊

Called on spec on Saturday evening. Manage to get a table. Starters & main courses were more than sufficient. They were excellent meals & good value. The staff were lovely, friendly and efficient without being in your face. Highly recommended

Amazing food, nice portions, perfect service, lovely staff, lovely place to eat with family, friends or as a couple, first time I ate here I was welcomed so amazingly.

We had burgers that were good quality, excellently cooked, nicely presented, and had plenty of meat. Service was great and the decor is nice too.

Had a lovely meal ar the Hideout on Saturday. We were pleasantly surprised when we had a card, flowers and chocolates there. My wife was absolutely thrilled. I had slow cooked brisket and my wife had mac and cheese which we thoroughly enjoyed. The service was excellent and will definitely return.

Lovely café, really great food, lovely staff. Pizzas are delicious, we got 2x to share between 4x, big Pizzas, had to ask for a goody bag/box to bring remainder home. Dog friendly. Offer a super cute dog menu, treats and water. Would definitely go back.
