Eastern Balti Restuarant in Northampton

Always lovely food, would not hesitate to order again.

Food was COLD and late and the restaurant is only 5mins from my bungalow, think it had just been sat there waiting for someone to deliver it.

The food was great as usual but we had an order problem for the first time. We ordered two Mixed Vegetable Rogans and only received one. I phoned the restaurant and they quickly sent the missing meal. Unfortunately, when we opened it, although labelled "V Rog" it wasn't. It contained chicken pieces and rice and wasn't in sauce, perhaps it was a Chicken Balti? Anyway, I didn't call back again and we enjoyed it, fortunately it wasn't for a vegetarian.

Just very bland, there was heat there but no flavour, shame really because it’s cheap.

Good food, but waited 1hr 30mins - stated when ordered would be max 1hr. Phoned to chase and was told on way I have to wait. Not great.

the food cold omelette was wafer thin no chicken and had to microwave everything never buy again poor quality only good thing was on time

fast delivery, more importantly the food was hot & tasted great...delivery driver friendly & an asset to your business.

for the first time I was disappointed due to the fact that the curry had leaked and there was a pool in the bottom of the bag,not only that but all bar the nan bread was not as hot as expected. The prawn cocktail was a smaller portion than what I have received in the past.The sag aloo was perfectly cooked.will definitely order again ,but hopefully all the order is hot.

The curry was lacking flavour. And was not very hot. The rice was warmer than the curry.

Delivery was quick came nice and hot but they sent the wrong naans and the curry's were really bland and watery with no flavour

delivery was poor food leaked over everything requested new delivery and was refused by restaurant had to hand delivery it back to restaurant for a new meal

Wrong food was delivered and cold

Food arrived cold I had to microwave it which for the cost of it wasn’t the point of paying for takeaway! If I was going to microwave my dinner I could have bought a takeaway pack from the supermarket down the road. It normally arrives hot!

1 Pilao Rice and 2 x Lime chutney missing from my order.

Ordered X2 Biryani dishes, but it arrived with one of the veg curry's missing. They replaced it about 30 mins later, but ruined the meal. Expected better service.

Tasty Indian food, Monday treat!

Sadly on this occasion it was disappointing, samosas and tikka chicken had no flavour, onion bhajee was greasy and like card board :-(

food was bland, onion bajis were hard around the edges, whole curry was very watery

The meal was lovely however i preordered it at 16.26 for delivery at 18.00 and it arrived at 18.35 it was tasty the only real moan was the onion bahajee was hard the currys were very nice

The whole meal was only like warm. The onion bharji’s were hard. I feel the sauce to the curry was very watery… not a good experience 😔

Great prices and arrived within the time they gave. Like some of the other reviews on here, some of the dishes were a bit bland and watery. Definitely not the most flavoursome indian takeaway but if you want cheap and can cope with skimping a bit on flavour then it's fine.

Food was cold, onion bhajis were like rubber. sauces were really watered down with very little flavour. Really disappointed!

Portions were good and it arrived hot, a little bland though. I called up to get an update on my delivery and the man on the phone was very unnecessarily rude and hung up on me.

food was really good. lamb madras was amazing. ordered french fried chicken thinking be like kfc style in batter but was just bits plain chicken with mushrooms and peas. abit disapointing. other then that good as always.

Ordered Vindaloo which lacked patatos which is normally part of a Vindalo, also was mild to say the least in taste.

Very nice meal, arrived a little early, which was fine, and piping hot. Huge pieces of chicken. I would order again 👍

Biryani wasn’t biryani it tasted plain like pilau rice. I wouldn’t order again I was really disappointed i was not expecting it to be so plain.

ordered a lamb madras, only 3 small pieces of meat the sauce was so thin and runny it may aswell of been soup.

Always get lovely food from here and it`s well priced too.

not sure what's happened to this place but food was worse than luke warm and balti was oily had half plate swimming in it even the mushroom rice was oily. last time I'm afraid 😨

Rather disappointed with tonight's meal. Poppadoms were soft. Chips needed a few more minutes, but the worst part; TWO LITTLE METAL WIRE SHARDS were found in the chicken tikka roll (good job I'm one of those people that pick apart their food!!) Plus note, Chicken Garlic Balti was spot on!!

Food was extremely late considering we are only a 5 minute drive from the restaurant. Poppadoms are soggy, chips under cooked, rice over cooked and sloppy. Curries had zero flavour and korma was cold.Called the restaurant to ask how long delivery would be and was met with an extremely rude man. Honestly would not recommend to anyone

Never had Bombay potato before from there with no onions or tomatoes in was like potatoes in a korma sauce. Tikka masala was tasteless and the chicken like rubber. The rice and peswari Nann was the best bit. Very disappointed

35minutes late in the end … only because I called them to double check it was on the way! Last time they forgot mango chutney. Pilau rice was very watery! Disappointing

Food was average, after spending £40 i expected at least some salad and extra poppadoms with my order but didnt unfortunately. Food was 20 mins late when theyre just a 3 mins drive from my house, and when i called up to ask where my food was the man on the phone was rude and didnt even let me finish my sentence before abruptly saying “yes mam its on its way” and hanging up on me. Disappointing wont be ordering from here again.

Ordered a makhani curry(butter chicken) but got chicken korma.

The food originally said 5:35 delivery. It then changed to 5:30 to 5:50pm the app stated the food was delivered at 5:50. After calling the restaurant the food finally arrived at 6:15pm it was barely warm

Food is cold, naans are soggy. Missing a sauce for biryani so called the restaurant to be told I’m lying as they didn’t believe me, rude! eventually agreed to deliver another one within half hour.

food came early. everything was correct and food was piping hot. it all tasted amazing and good price too. never go anywhere else now for indian food. beat around.

Never used Eastern Balti before, I’m very glad we did . Food was absolutely excellent , delivery was 20 mins early , used discount through just eat and the food quality was perfect. We definitely recommend and will use again.

We have used Eastern Balti many times through just eat and once had a bad experience but gave them the benefit of the doubt as the food is good. Unfortunately, exactly the same thing happened tonight. They say the orders on the way and then when you query its late they say its been delivered which it obviously hasn't. They offered to send again, ok great, but when that doesn't turn up they get rude and abusive. They obviously use the same story every time. I wouldn't order if I were you, they don't appreciate loyal customers.

Ordered a meal from here. Delivery driver delivered to wrong address but because it’s in the same street that’s apparently my problem. It’s a real shame because ordered from here multiple times before and always had good meals.
