Sorry about the delay in giving a review. As on our previous visit, Debbie was kindness, helpful and caring personified. Our visit was outstanding and our 3rd visit already sorted out. Thank you Debbie again.

Two travelers from America. 17/10/24 Very nice and clean just a short walk to town and Morrisons cafe where we ate most of our meals. We had a nice time talking with Debbie! “Hi Debbie”. Everything is working out great! Alan and Ina

Wonderful place Debbie was very welcoming. Old world comfort. Delicious breakfast would thoroughly recommend. Just 10 minutes walk to town yet feels in the countryside.

A had a lovely, albeit short, stay at Easington House during a recent work trip. My room was lovely, spacious and beautifully clean. Debbie was a fantastic host, really friendly and helpful. Easington House is a fantastic little gem in Banbury and it's great to be able to support a small business rather than a chain!

Terrible loft "room", could barely manoeuvre without hitting head or tripping over the poor quality, creaky bed frame, stairs are steep and dangerous, extremely uncomfortable bed, owner unwilling to resolve issues through Booking.com. AVOID!!

Stayed here for 3 nights on a work trip. Over the silver stone weekend. Couldn’t recommend more! The host was accommodating, spotless rooms and great facilities. Only a short walk into the main town of Banbury. Would highly recommend the breakfast!

Warning to any trade people asked to work for them...DONT!! I was asked to attend a site meeting and provide work, having detailed exact costs of each stage. Since providing the work, and being chastised for doing it too quickly(!), I have been told they will not pay the invoice. No reason has been given. In nearly six years of trading, this is the first client to not pay me. It might be a nice place to stay, but its in Banbury...so proabably not.

We booked a family meal for 11, admittedly the morning of going. The lady that worked there was so unbelievably rude we couldn’t quite believe it. As soon as we were seated she told us what roasts they had left and made a huge deal of ‘saving these’ for us. Her exact words were ‘I could have sold these hours ago’. Whilst that was kind, we were told this repeatedly. The food itself was enjoyable until we asked for an extra small jug of gravy which was like asking for her kidney! My mum asked a lady behind the bar if she could get a drink in for my brother (In our village this is normal but perhaps not here), the member of staff readily agreed and took the money. When it come to getting the drink, the rude lady said that they did not do that there. My mum explained that she did wonder however the girl had agreed and taken payment. The lady advised that that particular member of staff had gone home, luckily another member of staff had witnessed this. The rude lady then made a huge point about how lucky we were as she would not usually allow this.To sum up, the food was great, especially for the reasonable price however the lady who appeared as the boss was so rude we will not be coming back!

I think you may be confusing me with ‘another’ unhappy customer! I am the customer who got shoved in to a poxy room that smelt damp and the bathroom had a strong smell of urine! I never had a dog!

Went with my husband for Sunday lunch. Found a table and was looking at the menu when the manageress came and asked if we knew we were sat in the family are and children can be noisy. The area was nearly empty and on one table there was an elderly man sat on his own. We said that we did but we were happy to stay where we were. She then said basically we could sit in the bar area but children weren't allowed to. In other words she wanted us to move. If the pub would have been packed I would have understood but it was nearly empty. This was the 2nd time we had had problems with this most unfriendly lady so we decided to take it personally and left. We won't be going back again.

Nice venue with ample parking. Great choice of ales if you like them. Was quiz night so didn't stay long. The chilli nachos were spot on for a light snack for 2 sharing. Will be visiting again maybe next time for a proper meal

Buen punto. El personal era encantador. Puntos negativos.

We were given a very warm welcome to Easington House when we arrived for our evening meal. We were invited to sit in the very comfortable lounge whilst we chose from the menu. The menu is fairly basic but probably enough on there to please most people. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The dining room was fairly empty as I guess it is predominantly a guest house with evening meal option. Having said that it was a pleasure to eat in and was very relaxed. It almost felt like you were a guest rather a customer. The wine was reasonably priced and it was good to have it served in a nice bucket with plenty of ice in it. I think if we were to stay in Banbury again we would choose to stay there as well as eat there.

Stayed at this guest house for two nights whilst exploring oxfordBanbury has some nice shops etc but it appears banbury closes down around 530 pmConsidering it is the height of summer also with very nice weather we could not understand why banbury was so desertedWe went to oxford on the train which runs a twice hourly service at the weekendThe service was fast and efficientOxford was very busyWe went on the sightseeing bus which starts outside the railway station it cos us £10 each and you can travel on it all day for that very enjoyableWe went on a river trip which leaves folly bridge every hour on the half hourNow to talk about easington houseIt was easy to find good car parkingThe staff were friendly and helpfulThe bed was lovely and comfortable and we slept wellThe water and shower was hot and plentifulAlthough the room was at the front and facing the road it was not a problem there was on noticeable noiseOnly downside was a strong smell of greasy cooking throughout the hotel which lingered all day Food was ok but nothing too special to write about To reiterate the staff were friendly and efficient housekeeping lady did a good jobThanks mike

Good little pub for a pint, a coffee, or food. Had lunch and dried various bits of clothing in front of their fire. A range of Hook Norton beers - including '12 days' (of Christmas) and other seasonal variants. Lunch was really good and they had veggie options. Warm pub, good beers / drinks, and an excellent menu. Oh, and parking. Highly recommended!

Great dinner this evening, food was lovely and the staff made us feel welcome and well looked after. We dined early so it was quiet - deserves to be full of an evening.
