Really disappointed. On previous occasions the gluten free and dairy free options have been superb but not anymore if seems. We went on Sunday lunchtime hoping for a sandwich and cake but were informed the only savoury food coeliac friendly was a chicken caesar salad minus the caesar dressing. I ended up having a slice of cake which was good, thankfully. They also only have dairy free oat milk which isn’t gluten free which wasn’t helpful and could be simply rectified. My husband had the eggs benedict with bacon, his muffin had blue mould on it which we sent back to the kitchen immediately, fortunately he hadn’t started eating it. The replacement arrived very fast, within a couple of minutes, long enough to toast another muffin but not to cook the bacon or poached eggs again which were now hard. When it came to paying the bill we explained to the waitress that the meal was disappointing and she didn’t seem to accept the feedback even though she was the one who had seen the mouldy bread. When we asked if his food had in fact been cooked again or if the bacon and eggs were the same from his previous plate she assured us it had but we seriously doubted that given the hardened poached eggs and timescale. Such a shame. We paid in full but didn’t leave feeling good about our experience there. I really hope they improve and take on this feedback

with the easing of restrictions because of covid 19, and as the weather improves, it is becoming easier to visit Earsham Tearooms once again. This has always been a pleasure and my recent visit to have cheese scones and coffee together with a few friends, all socially distancing, was a treat indeed. Great to see the courtyard full of others all taking advantage of this excellent venue.

Friendly staff & delicious food, a stand each so a taste of everything, couldn't fault the freshness & different flavours. Would definitely recommend & go back again. The homemade cakes to eat in or take away also looked & tasted fabulous, the carrot cake in particular. Thank you 😊

As part of a tour of Earsham Hall, with a group if family members, we ended up in the tearooms for a meal afterwards. The meal was superb. Jason and his team really looked after us, making sure that we all sat together. This little gem of a tearoom is well worth seeking out as all the food is freshly cooked and the service and attention is second to none. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Today was the first time we have been to Earsham Hall Tearooms. We booked afternoon tea for 4. The staff were very welcoming, we were quickly seated. The afternoon tea was lovely especially the cheese and fruit scone. We couldnt eat it all and the staff wrapped it up for us to take home. The cafe was nice a busy. Will definitely go back again.

Last week we went on the Candlelit Tour of Earsham Hall. Our host Annabel was very welcoming and knowledgeable about her property. A fascinating 2 hours round this delightful house. Then the group had supper in the Tearooms, as usual the food was delicious and the service impeccable. Two months ago we went to one of the regular Pie Nights, excellent for vegetarians as well. We shall return!

Booked tearooms for party of 34 a couple of weeks in advance. Jason & the team provided excellent afternoon tea & service. We had the room to ourselves which made it even more special. Would definitely use them again.

I attended an event at Earsham Hall and also had lunch at the Tearooms - absolutely superb excellent food and fabulous staff - later had afternoon tea in the hall which was just as good with homemade scones and sandwiches and delicious cakes - Jason was the perfect host along with the owner of Earsham Hall Annabel Derham who's knowledge of the hall was incredible - we could have listened to her for hours - I thoroughly recommend the whole Earsham Hall experience ... Well worth a visit

I'm reluctant to give a bad review as this is someone's business and livelihood, but in a cafe service is what you are rating and this failed somewhat. At the till we were told to take a seat. 10 minutes later the same lady came to us, plonked a menu down and told us to order at the counter when we were ready! She then went to another table and took their order. Perhaps if your face doesn't fit?!! Flies all over the food so we stuck to drinks. Nothing special at all sadly.

As self confessed 'sconnoisseurs' we rated the savoury cheese scone as the best we have had. Flavoursome, great texture, fresh and nicely served with cream cheese, chilli jam and fresh salad garnish. Charming environment, friendly professional service. We arrived just before a party of Sunday morning cyclists, but the staff leapt into top gear (excuse the pun) and were seemingly unflustered by the sudden ten-fold increase in clientele. A delightful gem to brighten a slightly dreary day.

Small tearoom which provides mainly home cooked food. I went mid-afternoon so several items from the menu were no longer available. Had an unhurried time there. There is not much natural light which I found a little depressing but the food made up for it.

We stopped for tea before visiting their furniture showrooms. Coffee and home made Victoria sponge. Very good. Selection of round smaller tables and bigger ones. Art on the walls. Lovely wooden surround to hatch area. It looks as though their lunches and breakfasts would be good. They also do full afternoon tea for £12 if you book with 24 hours notice, and special tots teas too where you can tell them what your child would want in advance from £8.00 per person.

We went to Earsham Hall to visit George's Gorgeous Plants, one of many small businesses set up in the extensive outbuildings of Earsham Hall. The buildings were probably originally stables, coaching parking, blacksmiths and so on but are now being used for more modern purposes. We had the light lunch options of the all day breakfast stack and the Eggs Florentine. The All Day Breakfast came with two poached eggs, a large field mushroom, two rashers of back bacon and several small tomatoes on two small pieces of sourdough toast. The Eggs Florentine was the classic variety, poached eggs with spinach on a toasted muffin with a lovely hollandaise sauce. Both were very well cooked and presented and delicious. I had a double espresso with was one of the best I've had and we sat outside soaking up the mid autumn sunshine.

Yes, and I do mean it. Not only is the coffee excellent, but also their scones, both fruit, and cheese. I prefer the fruit, but my partner always has a bacon sandwich.

Called in for a browse round the lovely shop and then coffee and cheese scones in the teashop. The scones are truly monumental. They also serve a good selection of lunches, and the portions look very generous. Interestingly, they offer periodic tours of Earsham Hall followed by a full afternoon tea - which I think would be a lovely experience.

This is the second time since the new ownership. The food looks (and is) really appetising and freshly cooked and worth a visit if you are in the area and fancy a bite to eat and a browse round the adjoining gift shop and showroom. The staff in the cafe were very pleasant and couldn't have been more accommodating on both occasions. The tea is made with real tea leaves (as opposed to tea bags) which taste so much better. Just one point and being really, really picky but my partner mentioned it too after we had left so thought it best to mention it to you - the milk for the tea was served in a tiny milk bottle with the milk bottle placed inside the tea cup when brought to the table. We both thought to ourselves 'I hope the bottom of the milk bottle was clean' I'm certain it was fully clean and looked like it had been through the dishwasher and the whole place is spotless, but if we both thought it at the time I'm not sure it gave the right impression. Perhaps better to place the milk bottle next to the tea cup rather than inside it regardless of how clean it is. Other than this it's well worth a visit and I also noticed that there was a leaflet on the table stating they are having some 'themed' food evenings next year so well worth a future visit.

We have been visiting Earsham Hall Tea rooms for a number of years now but this was our first visit since new ownership. The food and drink were lovely and the atmosphere was welcoming and cosy.We were a little dissapointed with the waiter as we all felt he was sharp when we asked why only one of our 4 drinks had arrived, he told us that we should have reminded him earlier. Our cakes arrived and some 10 minutes later I decided to take the earlier advice and ask if our meals had been forgotten too. After some attitude I was told I ordered everything at the same time so what do you expect and that he was busy serving other people. The meals finally arrived and were lovely, fresh and well presented. I would definately go back for the food, ill just be more patient.

What it lacks in size the Earsham Hall tearooms makes up for in quality. I've been there twice recently - once for the bumper all day breakfast and once for a quiche - and both were excellent. Cakes looked good, too.

This review may be a complete waste of time because you might not be able to reserve a table unless Jason and Emily decide to extend their opening times. We have just enjoyed a Fish Evening and the smoked haddock was absolutely superb and the sauce first class. The poached egg was just right and the tomatoes and the samphire made the course as good as you will find anywhere.Jason told us he had purchased the fish earlier in the day from the harbour at Southwold. So the fish was as fresh as it could be and that is the mark of EHTR, fresh ingredients. There is a price to pay but it is a small one considering the quality of the food. Everything is prepared on a daily basis and that means that when every table is full there can be a bit of a wait. I said it was a small price to pay and it must be admitted we were last in. Quietly sipping our Sauvignon Blanc we watched the other guests being served and realised that even though only having been opened eleven weeks there is now a regular clientele. So if you want to join in the fun you need to be sure to reserve your place early.By the way, we had the pavlova again. Just as good as before.

The Earsham Hall Tearooms is under new management and I for one can't wait until the official opening day. We have just come back from a pre-relaunch taster and if the fare on offer was anything to go by this will be a success in no time. It is not a large place occupying just one room of the magnificent Earsham Hall just outside Bungay. So don't be surprised to find you are not the only patrons when you try what is on offer. There is a certain ambiance and the decor is just right for the title tea rooms. You can be sure of a warm welcome and there is more on offer than just tea. We sampled as many of the normally expected accompaniments to tea and regular visitors who decide to work through the full list will take more than a few visits before they start repeating earlier orders. We saw the breakfast options with all tastes and appetites catered for. and the planned themed evening menus. Again some interesting options. In fact the are going to be so many choices that I suggest that a visit to their facebook page for the current options. It would be a pity if one option did not appear because the version of Pavlova that we sampled can only be described as potentially addictive. So if it is on the menu when you visit make sure you leave room for it. By the way, the coffee is the best we have had for quite a while.

The food the staff.. Everything perfect.. A special thanks to Willow the waitress.. I'm 72 and never seen anyone as fast working. Efficient and service with a smile. We were amazed.. Not saying this because we might know her which is not the case.. It's because we stay in Wyndham once a week from great Yarmouth and always praise people and establishments when they deserve it.. Thank you ALL at the White Heart.. Will definitely be back regularly and recommend 100 %.

Had lunch here, staff were helpful and pleasant, the food was okay but not exceptional. The setting is quiet with a slight nod to the 1940's. Not sure about the green neon light in the alcove but it was an adequate lunch.

It's a lovely little pub in the middle of the village and at the end of Rockland broad where there are around 8 free morning's, it's great for a overnight stay, so back to the pub great people who make you feel welcome and a nice little area for outside seating on those summer evenings, so yes I'll be going back
