Very nice cakes, just a shame that you can't take dogs in. You have to sit in the garden only assisted dogs aloud in shop and cafe so slightly miss leading on website.

1st time going. Absolutely lovely farm shop. Spoilt for choice. Well worth a visit.

Good range of best food, good advise, bit pricey but range and choice top notch

My partner who is gluten intolerant asked to have a bacon sandwich with toasted glutin free bread. Sorry it's menu only. OK I'll have posh breakfast bap. When it arrived she checked with the waitress if the sausages were gluten free. She then checked with the kitchen. No they're not she told us. In reply to an email we're told the sausages we're pate and we're gluten free. Not sure but in my 70 years I'm pretty sure I can tell the difference. Won't be back. Food safety is important.

We like goodies alot. And the best thing about it is we can walk or bike there. The owner is very nice as well. Also the food is just so amazing.

We drove around 1.5hrs for lunch and a wander around the farm shop. Great produce, amazing portions in the restaurant, well presented and prepared. Staff great too.

An amazing selection of all types of foods,beers,wines and more,many sourced locally or actually on site. Think of the best farm shop you've ever visited, then match it with the best butcher, off licence and deli and you've got Goodies. Also a lovely restaurant where we had two substantial breakfasts for £20. We live a fair distance away but when in the area will definitely visit again.

Never been to Goodies but heard lots of comments about it so as we were in that area decided to stop for a light lunch. We sat outside as we had the dog with us, thought somebody may have come to table to bring a menu but ended having to go and fetch one. Decided on a small platter to share, a plain sausage roll and a fruit scone none of which was on display to see what you were getting. It all looked very nicely done on the plates but disappointed with the taste overall. The sausage roll had no flavour at all and the quiche was too wet. The scone however was good. Had a quick look round shop, lots to pick from so picked up a small packet of cheese straws, cheesy enough but not the best I have had. All in all a bit disappointed.

I only had just heard about this place, seen the sign many times before but hadn't called in. Well, it's positively amazing. Both the shop and the restaurant. Breakfast is great value whilst also being damn tasty.

Absolutely fabulous! A lovely Sunday roast , Yorkers, superb roasties, and lots of super cooked vegetables, served by a very attentive friendly waitress. Would most certainly go again.

Treated ourselves to Sunday lunch on Easter Sunday. So glad we did and we will definitely be back. Since moving to the area we have struggled to find anywhere for a special Sunday lunch but we have succeeded at last. Food was plentiful, arrived promptly, was delicious and excellent value. All served by polite and helpful waiting staff.

Great service, good tasty breakfast, nice environment. Farm shop well worth a look round. Would visit again, would like to try the lunch menu.

Really good quality of food, love the new layout

I love visiting here. I like to treat myself, I do find the prices very high, the fresh meat dinners are a good price. The layout now is a lot better, seems to be more variety. I last visited last Friday when I bought 4 pairs of prawsn from the fishmonger outside

Absolutely excellent quality food items from the Farm Shop.

We had a wonderful breakfast at Goodies this morning. From booking a table over the phone to leaving the restaurant, the service was exceptional. Our food arrived promptly and was delicious, and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Goodies; the hard-working, friendly team provide professional service, complementing a tasty breakfast menu. Thank you, we will be returning.

1st time here and we will defo be coming back, The restaurant is amazing, fast service and great prices, the quality for me was 10/10, we had the chicken supreme, bacon wrapped chicken breast on a bed of bacon creamed cabbage with new hassleback potatoes & broccoli and for desert we had the creme brulee with chefs shortbread, staff very friendly and always to hand, cannot wait now to come back. Love the fact it has a large shop of local made & grown and artisan products and again great prices and again 10/10

Busy but great produce and restaurant

Went to goodies yesterday did not know what to expect and when I walked in the place was amazing full of as I call it farm foods but I spent £60 £70 pounds on produce but was very disappointed with the tast as in no flavor realy what is such a shame as I want to come back again.

That's the biggest overrated pile of *** to ever leave my purse! Never Again. Took away four of the 3 for 4 rather basic ready meals and was truly disappointed. Lamb Rogan josh?? Forget it! Two tiny morsels of lamb in plum tomatoes, aubergine and courgette. Deadly nightshade delight with the extra peppers 🤢 Never again! I'll give the crumby Kiev a 1/5 for appearance. The rest was a complete disaster.

Amazing butchers inside, spotlessly clean, and nice coffee too.

We’ve had many a lunch and breakfast at “Goodies”, the quality of the ingredients is honestly, very high. Each item has been prepared and presented with care, which is something that keeps us coming back, the service has always been friendly with a family friendly atmosphere. Definitely returning in the near future.

Know Goodies on a professional basis, decided to pop in for breakfast on the way through to an overnight stay. Farmers breakfast for the money was superb, we were served by Sammi who was also. Nice atmosphere even it was raining when isn't it lol Go visit👍

Large farm shop with everything you need. Large deli,meat, and cheese counters. Service was great and able to try some cheese before buying. They had plenty of variety of cheese. Good choice of wines and spirits. Will visit again when next in the area.

We visit Goodies regularly and today had Sunday Lunch for my Father’s Birthday as a group of ten. The food as always was excellent, as was the prompt service and the staff went above and beyond. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone was so helpful & friendly and team Goodies made the event something special, we so appreciate it.

Great selection of produce, not to be found in the high street. Will be back

Can’t say enough great things about this place! After moving into the area this has been our favourite place to eat. Staff are friendly, cheerful and helpful, food is delicious and really well presented and the atmosphere and decor are just fab. We’ve had breakfast and lunch here - also celebrating a family birthday… then a wonder around the shop after. Just lovely!

Il y avait très longtemps que je n’étais pas allé dans ce restaurant comme ma fille est en congé scolaire. Nous sommes allés tous les deux aujourd’hui. Ma fille a commandé un steak médium rare Avec garniture bien sûr, et moi j’ai commandé un foie de veau. Avec bien sûr ces garnitures, ma fille avait demandé le steak médium horaire et moi j’avais demandé que mon foie foie de veau soit rosé, les deux cuissons étaient parfait. C’était un délice, j’y retournerai d’ici peu.

Food excellent, service good. A little pricey in my view.

This place truly amazed me, the array of foods for sale was beyond what I had envisaged. Our intention was to call in for a breakfast mid journey. We stayed longer than we had planned. The small breakfasts and coffees were top notch! The waiting staff efficient and friendly. All round the standard was way higher than expected.

We had a very pleasant Valentine's meal, the food was very good, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Well worth a visit.

Great farm shop, lots of choice and meat is very good, good food in the restaurant too won't blow your mind but it's decent.

I do feel the food in the cafe/restaurant can be a bit hit and miss. The service is also the same.

Tom the new chef accommodated my many dietary needs ( multiple allergies) and even made me a desert off menu as there was nothing on a menu that would be safe for me to eat. The quality of the ingredients it top tier, especially for the price! The service is always fantastic, they know when to help and give space down to a "T"! Exceptional, thank you!

Today is going to be the last time I shop here. Unlike past visits today I experienced very poor customer service from someone who felt they had a reason to look down on me and be rude, I have no idea why they felt it appropriate to treat a customer that way but that combined with the now ridiculously high price for a sack of potatoes has meant I will be taking my patronage else where.

Dropped in because I’d heard good things about their butchery and cheese counter. Very disappointing. Poor selection of local cheeses. Bought some lamb sausages that might as well have been labels as breadsticks.

I visited on the 25th January, brought some ready meals. The lasagne was sloppy and the cream topping had the texture of curdled milk once cooked. The meatballs looked lovely and went to cook them on the 27th January an evening meal and they were mouldy. Contacted goodies via email on the 27th January and 3 days later I've still not had a response.

Restaurant always lovely food staff friendly and like the cheese tasters in the shop!

Lovely food in the restaurant been a few times and have never been disappointed, food shop has a great variety of products at a good price.

I feel a bit harsh giving 3 stars because I've been here before twice for lunch, once a Sunday roast and once just standard Saturday, and both times I had really nice food. Today unfortunately I was very disappointed. I had a broccoli and Stilton soup that tasted of broccoli and not much else, and then had a turkey & leek pie that was also average with tasteless mash. The best part of both meals was the foccacia that accompanied the soup, that was delicious! My husband had a nice salmon starter but then had a very dry burger. They did say they had a chef in training but a shame that the quality of food paid for was affected. Also the lunch menu on the website was vastly larger than the one we saw, this probably needs to be updated.

I live locally and very often use the butchery,the quality of the meat is great , but I am really disappointed that since the refurb you seem to be using a much greater amount of plastic and packaging which I find disappointing.Given the cost and quality of your outfit I would like to see more waxed paper and such like as in other local butchers. I have thought about this long and hard and really do believe you could do more.

Lovely food in a cosy setting - I had a soup of the day (carrot) with two pieces of homemade bread and it was delicious. Not cheap, but the quality was top notch. Staff were friendly and restaurant was very clean and modern.

Excellent food, if a tad pricey but you get what you pay for

Great breakfast today, I can highly recommend it,top produce used,respectful staff. Only problem was going back into the shop,didn’t bother,which was a shame but the queues were winding round each isle waiting to pay, you couldn’t really look at anything on the shelves. Could do with a quicker easier and faster way of paying as it could become a health and safety issue in an emergency. Such a great shop at great prices though, I’ll definitely be going back.

First visit since the refurbishment and I have to say that I was very impressed! The shop looks much bigger and seems to have a wider variety of choice. Certainly on the vegetarian side of things! All of the different departments were laid out beautifully. With the cheese counter offering samples of wine/cheeses and pickles. Many ready-made meals to cook at home. Plus a big selection of pastries frozen and fresh, also frozen fish/meat/vegetables and fruits. Fresh fruit and veg greet you as you go into the shop plus fresh cooked bakery products. Wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks are also available. 👌 If all of this doesn't wet your appetite, I hear that the food in the Restaurant is delicious too.

I live too far away to shop there regularly, but I always go there for special occasions, especially Christmas. If you don't want to spend hours preparing food, they sell a large selection of fresh and frozen food, prepared by hand and oven ready.

Wasn't clear about opening times of the cafe from the restaurant but I'm glad we stopped, had a really tasty selection board

The Gooderham family have farmed and built this business across the generations. The range on offer is extraordinary and of the highest quality. The staff are valued, helpful and enthusiastic. You can feel Stuart Gooderham's lovely principled attitude the moment you walk through the door. Great chips in the restaurant!

Lovely food, service and shopping area, highly recommended

I enjoyed a great relaxing lunch. The place is very relaxing and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food is very good and loved the triple-cooked chips There is outdoor seating with a nice view and a small playground for kids to run around. The farm shop is 1 of the best I have been to with loads of local foods, price is OK.

Absolute treasure of a shop, butchery, bakery, vegetables and lots of treats. The on-site restaurant serves an excellent Sunday lunch (2 courses for £23) all home cooked and local.

Sunday lunch is brilliant must book to avoid disappointment

The menu was varied, choice excellent and very well cooked and presented. Excellent value for money. Would definitely use again.

Interesting and diverse food choices. The restaurant was very good and food was tasty.

My wife ordered haddock and chips with mushy peas, tartare sauce and lemon which looked delicious and hot. The batter was quite light and crispy. I ordered the fish pie which consisted of salmon, prawns, smoked haddock and mussels, all of which were cooked to perfection and very fresh in a light sauce on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes. An addition to the fish pie was a fish goujon which unfortunately was overcooked and dry, the goujon was too dry to taste what fish it was. Not adding the goujon would have improved the dish. Having said that, the waiting staff were friendly and efficient and the meal was served in a timely manner.

Attended this morning for breakfast and would like to say although a nice meal it was disappointing that staff didn't come back to offer second drinks, especially as it's table service. Also you're handing out leaflets regarding Christmas Afternoon Tea and when I try to make the booking the waiter can see the 21st December is empty but is unsure what to do and upon asking his manager, we're told youre to busy, take a card and ring back!! I would like to say that's £240 you lost as I was bringing my full family. It would have taken no more than 5 minutes to make our booking. Customer Service is a must if you want repeat diners and free word of mouth advertisement.

I was merely the driver but, my wife loved it and bought many delicious home made products. Will call again on our way through Norfolk.

Popped in for quick light lunch on way home from 4* hotel stay - the service and food rivalled if not excelled. Will be back.

Have passed many times but won't be from now on. Large and airy restaurant, made cozy with lovely dark colours and good lighting. Delicious " farmers breakfast " and good coffee. Farm shop well presented and clean. Local produce was very tempting.

Myself and my partner came for breakfast. He had the full English and I had smoked salmon with egg. The yolks were beautifully coloureds my partner was incredibly impressed with the meat selection and overall we had a lovely morning breakfast. We would be intrigued to visit again.

Dropped by for lunch, not knowing what to expect. What a revelation! Very nice restaurant, good space between the tables, excellent atmosphere, welcoming staff. The short, imaginative menu featured local seasonal produce. My pheasant breast wrapped in streaky bacon with tasty roast vegetables, lentils and fondant potatoes was superb and my wife had one of the finest Caesar salads we've ever eaten. The kitchen's on view and the chefs cook virtually everything from scratch, so freshness is guaranteed, even if it means an additional few minutes before the dish arrives. But this is how food should be cooked (other kitchens please take note). And the team obviously enjoyed cooking...a happy chef is clearly a good chef. The service was excellent too, polite and efficient. All this, and exceptional value for money. Highly recommended.

Wow! Heavenly, just up my street. I wanted everything I saw! It's all beautifully displayed and so tempting. The service was first class. We bought some amazing pork pies, one topped with Stilton, another with chicken, ham & leek. There were so many savoury options. The meat counter has some very inspiring made up dinners. The stuffed meatballs wrapped in bacon and topped with bbq sauce looked amazing. We just happened to see the sign for this amazing food hall and what a great and very fitting name. Goodies! Unfortunately, with lack of time I was whisked away but I'm certainly making this my go to food hall and promise a detailed review with photos. Pleased check this awesome place out yourselves.

Pleasant staff very helpful excellent food menu is a little limited but it all looks and tastes great

Not what I was expecting from a "farm shop". Mass produced Ultra Processed Food, made to look like it's home made or direct from a reputable butcher. If these are made on site then why are so many additives needed? Artificial colours, preservatives and other nasties are not needed. When we make burgers at home, we use beef mince with breadcrumbs and seasoning. This is what I expect from a butcher. The cakes with addition of emulsifiers and Palm Oil, totally unnecessary, bad for your health and bad for the planet. We won't be back.

What a fabulous place. So impressed with food, service and prices. Cleanest public toilets we have ever used. An excellent experience.

Beautifully set out farm shop the cleanest and tidiest I've ever seen I went to the restaurant for breakfast which was all locally sourced all good quality and a very good selection of food definitely would go again

Have always popped into Goodies when in the area to pick up some farm food produce. They have a really good selection at very reasonable prices. So I would recommend the shop side highly. Not so much the new restaurant. A few years back, this side used to be a very nice cafe. Now it's turned into a restaurant. I found the prices slightly high for what you actually got on your plate. I had a ploughman's, which to me was just not worth the money paid. Nevertheless, the restaurant was fairly ramo with people. The staff were helpful and polite. One staff member in particular, Sam, he was very helpful etc. Despite this, when in the area, I will still pop into the shop but not the restaurant.
