Early Bird Cafe in Eastbourne

Best breakfast in Town. The bacon is to die for, all fresh cooked and good prices. Great survivor of Covid times when so many cafes closed for good.

Have been to many cafes in Eastbourne and by a long way this is the best. Food fresh,well cooked and reasonable

Not as cheap as this place used to be but it was a decent meal. Coffee was ok too. (I'm picky) what else do you need.

Needs to up their game. Still serving instant coffee. If you like an old fashion cafe then you will feel right at home.

Absolutely disgusting place, I ordered my food and found a hair in it... when I complained I got told that it must have been mine and personally I think this is foul!

Now open as takeaway currently. Same great food and staff. Check opening Hrs. A real joy 😂. Good breakfast menu currently.

Good cafe, food was 5 mins wait, (great, because I didn't have too long), good value, very pleasant staff,clean and good options if you only want a small breakfast, I will def go again when I'm in the area.

You get good cuppa and cooked meals people are very friendly to you always have time for a chat

Although I've lived in eastbourne 28 years I've never been here thought I'd give it a go and was very pleased with the service I received and got to say probley the best burger I've had from anywhere in eastbourne will visit again.

Great food and friendly staff. The prices are good and portion sizes just right. A big selection of food and tables outside if you wish to sit and watch the world go by.

Early Birds has always been my favourite café whenever we're visiting Eastbourne. I always recommend their fresh and tasty well prepared food, that's served in a manner I cannot find fault in. Parking available but limited during school hours.

After a big shop up at The Range we were hungry and hubby googled for food and this place popped up Hubby wanted a big breakfast and that was certainly delivered! A big bird breakfast got hubby and a sausage baguette for me, excellent service, great food and great value Thanks

Good food pleasant staff but scroopy chairs drive us up the wall.

This cafe was very convenient for me and my misses as we only live just around the corner about 5mins, n as it was open early and closed at around 14.00pm so there was plenty of time to get breakfast plus I find the staff very helpful and polite. I will rate this cafe as a must go, and try for yourselfs then you can write what you think of the cafe n how the staff helped or not.

Typical little café servicing a variety of cooked breakfasts and sandwiches. Opted for the Big Bird breakfast. Substituted the mushrooms and black pudding for a sausage which was good of them. Fair pricing. £7.50 for the large breakfast and then £5.95 for a slightly smaller one.

Visited this establishment today for the first time, I have often passed it over the years, but parking is normally quite bad. Anyway I ordered a breakfast, the smaller option. I asked for scrambled egg instead of fried. It was brought to my table in good time, unfortunately that was as good as it got, the eggs were cold, runny and plain nasty, the beans were awful as if they had been reheated too many times, and the sausage tasted ok but was unfortunately cold. But the worst part of all was the hash Brown, I was really quite horrified, I was looking at it on the plate before I even cut into it and thought it looked a strange color, as I cut into it the inside was black, I was thinking perhaps there was an added ingredient into it, like maybe mushrooms, which I absolutely hate, but no it wasn't. The potatoes were black, the hash Brown was really hard and dry on the outside and the inside was black mush. I paid £13 for 2 breakfasts and they were both terrible. I felt really quite sick and just left the cafe. I was really hoping that I was going to be able to leave a good review but sadly not and feel it's important to let people know, I am currently due to have my baby any day now and obviously don't want to be eating anything that would cause me to be unwell. Sadly I won't be visiting again. I hope that no one else experiences this.

Had a bad breakfast here. The chef gave me hash browns which I would not of given to my dog. Black lumps in, and the the potato was all conjilled as if they where sitting in fridge for ages before giving it to me. I have been a chef for 21 years and there is no way that should of even been on my plate disappointed will never eat here again.

Outstanding breakfast. Quality products and free range eggs. You can order off the menu or ask for exactly what you want, it's no bother to them. The owners /staff are very welcoming and the seating area is very clean.

Great full English breakfast served quickly. Polite and friendly staff, reasonable prices. Only minor complaint was that the toast was cold and a not really toasted very well (I think they forgot). No big deal though and didn't ruin a very filling breakfast that lasted me all day!

Good cafe for breakfast uses good quality sausages which is rare. Guy behind counter is really friendly. Good value.

A traditional ‘greasy spoon’ with none of the grease. Well cooked English breakfast with traditional fare (and fantastic sausages). The menu is great with healthy and vegetarian options, with clean tables, ample seating and great staff. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Use this cafe religiously, great food and run by a lovely couple. Breakfast is fantastic.

Very quite when we got there. Limited parking. Quick, polite service, but I'm sorry your food was greasy and the cups of tea we had were tasteless which for a cafe should be on point. Come on Early bird, do yourself a favor and improve the most important things that your customers come to you for and you wont be so quite, but once you lose a customer it is harder then to convince them to come back, expecially with all the other breakfast options around. 2 stars.
