I went in this pub for a drink with my son and paid with my card 2 times the man said my card had not gone through and it was down to the connection on his side the 3rd time he got another machine and it went through I had a Guinness and a water it cost £5but the next day I had been charged 2 lots of £5i went on the chat line and said what had happened 2 times and have not heard anything I would not bother using this pub as £10 for a pint of Guinness is a RIP off disgraceful

Went here with a couple of uni mates for few pints.There was a great selection of ale and the barman was very knowledgeable and friendly.thanks will visit again

Best open mic night in Cambridge on Thursdays

Open mic night on Thursdays is awesome, great atmosphere and very talented people.

Called in in Saturday night at about 10pm. There was a live band. Decent selection of beers and friendly customers.

Nice and chill pub in central Cambridge, close enough to the central station. Inside it is a bit empty in terms of furniture and decor. However, the prices are pretty low and the staff is nice.

Absolutely love this place! Go there most Tuesdays for the jam night, and pop in every so often for a pint or two. Great place, great staff, perfect location!

Visited the Earl one Thursday evening and was delighted to see an open mic live music was on, well controlled each artist had a two tune slot and it was a great night. Beer is good and a great atmosphere. Check the nights for the music sessions well worth a visit

Nice ambience & good mix of customers. Plus they have live several nights a week! I was on diet soda as usual but my mates say the beer is good & their pizzas are great.

Great pub. Fantastic beers and the "Jam Sandwich" live music on Sunday evening was fantastic : quick transition from one band to the next and lots of fun.

Excellent pub. The music scene there is great! They have open mic night on various days through the week and its always a great night.

Good ales, friendly bar staff and great music playing. Clean and with a good atmosphere, I really enjoyed my visit, even if it was for just a pint in the afternoon. Would definitely come back if I was local.

Distant from the city centre. Untrained staff. Scruffy interior. Much, much better choices throughout the city.

Great local pub with regular live music. Often to an outstanding quality! Limited room for dancing, I manage but I'm determined lol! And often the only one. Many regular visitors. There is a classic grumpy barman. Believe its recently been sold so it may change?

Really excellent local boozer. Good selection of real ales. Very good, helpful staff. Even the pizzas are good! The dog is just after food and doesn't do sociable even when food is about. Great place to have a drink and contemplate the meaning of life as long as you don't need a dog that likes you for who you are rather than the food you give them. Will come back again, but will have realistic expectations when it comes to dog affection.

Funny bar close to main station and close to many restaurants. Good music or not and a lot of beers... 2 dogs and possibility to order some pizzas. Interesting pool in a library outside of the main bar.

I liked this pub a lot. From someone from Spain it has all the flavour you'd expect from a traditional pub, and I really liked that they broadcast sports and have live music almost every night!

A nice little pub with a couple of adorable dogs that our group had a hard time not taking home with us. A decent set of drinks and a nice atmosphere. The only issue is that the menu is only pizza. It is very nice and I enjoyed it immensely, but it would have been nice to have some more options available.

Really nice pub that is reasonably priced with a nice beer garden, also has a few events going on throughout the week such as music nights and quizzes etc. Not much seating, but that was on a band night so some of it was sectioned off
