Amazing place, food is high quality Middle Eastern. I’ve been to many countries and had authentic experiences with this cuisine, I highly recommend Durum, I’d say one of the best in London, if not the best. They’re staff are hard working and extremely attentive to your needs, the food speaks for itself. Lovely starters before the main meal too. My favourite is the babaganoush for starters and mix kebab for mains.

I had a very good meal last night & really enjoyed it..! I had the lamb chops and as I have an allegy to olive oil & olives they were very helpful to make sure that nothing had the this in any of my food. All the staff were very freindly and especially Aziz Emre who looked after me. For a Tuesday night it was very busy in the restaurant & for take outs, but the food arrived very quickly. The restaurant was clean & tidy and I would recommend going for a night out. I would suggest you make a reservation for the restaunt as you don't would to be disappointed...!

I’ve been going to this little gem for many years now. I’m by all means a regular. The best quality price you will find in north london and one of the best turkish restaurants in london in my opinion.

Went here with family for lunch, the waiters were friendly, gave us a small starter and some desserts on the house. The food came quickly, everything was freshly prepared, portion sizes were decent so much so we took some home! Overall, will come here again and definitely recommend.

I love this restaurant! Durum Restaurant Finchley My husband and I come here very regularly. Today I came here with members of FOODIE GROUP. We had a magnificent meal and were extremely well looked after by the very helpful Emre. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was perfect. One of the group was not familiar with Turkish food but is now looking forward to eating it again. Excellent value for money and everything freshly prepared.

Twenty four hours later my blood is still boiling.I went with my family 4 adults and 3 children last night We sat down and ordered food and all of a sudden the waiter said we had not ordered enough so we explained we had eaten earlier and if it wasn’t enough food we would order more, but NO This waiter was implying our order was big enough cash wise. We had placed a £80 order but that shouldn’t matter like we said we had eaten earlier and would order more if we were still hungry.He was having none of it and said we need to order more or leave. After a small argument we left feeling humiliated,I was with my family and I felt embarrassed. I have never ever been turned away for not ordering enough regardless of the size of the order what about families that are on tight budgets at the moment.Durum restaurant shame on you you should never make any feel like you made me feel last night😡

Dürüm Restaurant is a great place, the food is served and the staff are terrific, the prices are affordable.

After our day out on Xmas Day we were glad to find Restaurants open on our way home. Friendly staff; shared a starter and mains. Enjoyed the food and rather expensive bottles of Ale. Good experience but perhaps too expensive for locale and the actual food so unlikely to return.

I bought a couple of chicken shish. Where should I start? The salad was a minuscule portion, stale, discoloured and limp. The bread was the worst I’ve ever had in a Turkish restaurant. Literally looked and tasted like paper. The chicken was less than a skewer. For the princely amount of £12 each. My companion lifted the takeaway containers and asked where the rest of it was. And to top it off I got a stomach upset after eating the food. We used to patronise this and the otherTurkish place a few doors away on a very regular basis a few years ago and though I had a preference for the alternative place, I don’t remember the food being such poor quality at Durum. Standards have definitely dropped through the roof. Very sub-standard and overpriced tat.

Used to come here quite often and went today aftet a long break just to grab a take away and was really dissappointed. The meat was all dry, the bread was stale and the salad was just red cabbage with a lemon wedge ! Threw it in the bin.

The staff is really nice but we had to call them over a few times to the table to get service even thought there is a few of them. Have visited this restaurant on many occasions and have never been disappointed by the quality of the tasty meals. It is very good value too with complimentary pitta and dips before the meal and Turkish Delight and baklava accompanying tea and coffee after your meal. Portions are big which means a main course will probably satisfy most appetites - and this makes this eatery highly affordable. There are the usual Turkish specialities such as kebabs and moussaka, but also decent fish and chicken schnitzels also available. The chips are always tasty and well cooked. It is generally pretty busy and probably not the most restful place for a meal and the service, although friendly, can be a bit inconsistent, but overall a good venue for a tasty Turkish.

We were wondering whether we should come back to this restaurant or visit any of the nearby restaurants in this area, as there are so many equally well priced as we could see from their menus, but we decided to once again stick to the same menu.

I do not have one bad thing to say about my experience at this restaurant. We ordered off the set menu which is excellently priced and the food was delicious. We also received extra sides and desserts which we were expecting to be charged for but weren't. Friendly hospitality and very attentive staff and a great restaurant atmosphere. Open fire cooked lamb. Kabobs are a specialty but I had lamb chops. Grilled over open coals. So tasty. Naan bread was tasty And plentiful. Staff are attentive. Great Turkish food.

I was recommended this place by a friend, however when I went there I observed multiple flies sitting on the uncooked food area which is visible as you walk in. When I challenged them they replied 'its hot that's why'...erm okay I will never ever try this place again!!

We came to this area in North London and were surprised with the high number of restaurants, shops, Middle eastern sweet shops etc we found here. We decided to eat at this restaurant as we like Turkish cuisine and we tend to always go to the same Turkish restaurants in central London.

Mortezd was extremely polite and professional and served me some great kebabs! Very impressive, will certainly return.

We really loved this restaurant. The atmosphere was buzzing and the food was great. I recommend you book in advance especially for the weekend. The sharing platters we had to start were very enjoyable, with lots of dips, bread and a good selection of traditional food. The mains were perfectly cooked and we were totally satisfied at the end of the meal. It was difficult not to over eat! It was very reasonably priced too.

We go here once a month and this visit I decided to try the Kleftico. It arrived on a ice cold plate and was cold on the inside. I sent it back and it had obviously been microwaved as the plate was too hot to carry and was very hot. However the lamb was bland bordering on tasteless and the potatoes and veg were just 'there'. My boyfriend had the mixed grill which looked and tasted really nice.

After a late night bouldering session, we were all starving and since everywhere was shutting up shop at around 10.45pm, our options of places of where to eat were quickly dwindling away. Our friend then suggested we go to Durum as it has never left him unsatisfied and they stay open till late. So off we went and are we glad that we did.

The service is excellent and the food very good. We had falafel, pita, Jajik and calamari for starters. I had the chicken and lamb cooked on skewers and my husband had lamb chops. They are served with a delicious salad or rice. We also had a side of fries. All excellent.

What's happened havnt been here in 6 months but decided to get a take away as we had friends roundUnfortunately they've lost their touch meat is anerage especially the lamb ribs that tasted more on the mutton side than ribs all meat dishes used to come with rice not anymore so we ended up with mediocre meat salad and bread really disappointed The competition for Turkish kebabs is massive in London now and I'm afraid that durum is a long way down the list now!

The food is freshly made in front of you on the charcoal grill. The queue for take away and sit in is long not to mention that orders are coming in over the phone as well . It's reasonable prices and enjoyable. Portions are generous.if you are going for mix grill at 14.95 per throw two will feed 3 unless you have a huge appetite .

If you like the turkish cuisine and a good kebab it's definitely one of the best place in London to go! Go for the maze sharing starters and don't forget to try the lamb!The staff is always there for you with a good attitude.I will definitely come back!

I've eaten at Durum countless times. After my last visit I couldn't think of why I have never written a review. After all, Durum never disappoints and they always produce really sparkling quality food. They proudly display their accolade as winners of "The British Kebab Award", but Durum is more than that. Their menu is a real reflection of traditional Ocakbasi cookery and the staff are friendly and helpful (especially as I occasionally like to go "off-menu"). The Izgara Sogan (grilled onions, tomatoes, peppers and mushrooms) is a fabulous starter, with a rich pomegranate sauce and the main course of Patlican Kebap (sliced aubergine with minced lamb and a deep, rich tomato sauce), is simply wonderful and very filling. If you're looking for crisp white table linen and sumptuous chairs, then this isn't the place for you. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and has a simplicity about it, but this allows the food to shine through and be the real star of the show. My advice is; don't over order. The portions are generous and there are always plenty of delicious Turkish breads to go with it. That's probably why I never order a dessert here, but there's always room for their delicious Turkish coffee. Exceptional. value and wonderful food

Every time I go to this restaurant ( and I've been a few times), the service has always been quick...no waiting around to order....the portions are large, so don't over-order. Bread is always given complimentary. Lovely tasting and fresh food too.

I'm pushing 70 and being Turkish have been going to Turkish restaurants since the 70's.I've seen their prices go up and their food become more anglicised, duller, and frankly boring. A friend recommended Durum many years ago and I have only today managed a visit. I should have made it earlier. It's food is Western Turkish, what can loosely described as Mediterranean. A Cypriot or a Greek would be quite happy eating at Durum. It relies on the freshness of its ingredients, less spicy than eastern Turkish food and better for it. The meze were good and better than many of the Turkish restaurants in Green Lanes, (over the years I have been to a fair number of them) deserving of particular mention is the calamari, one of the best I've eaten, and definitely not bought in frozen. The dolma, again good and how they should be, nice and firm. The main courses?. A Turkish restaurant stands or falls on iits kebabs and I couldn't fault them. My friend remarked that the house wine, both red and white, was better than most house wines on offer in a Turkish restaurants and I agreed. (A tip for those who are regulars at Turkish restaurants. Turkish wine lacks consistency. You could order a Turkish wine in one restaurant. Love it, order the same wine a few months later, and it can taste decidedly poor. Quality control had always been a problem)The cost? For more than we could eat, with half of us drinking alcohol about £20 each. For me it reminded me of the kind of Turkish restaurant I went to 3 decades ago and was all the better because of it. So, if you are within easy travelling distance you should go. There is no need to trek to Green Lanes. I don't profess to have been to every Turkish restaurant in this part of London but on the league table of those I've been to Durum is at the top,. Which brings me back to the friend who years ago recommended Durum. He was Greek Cypriot. The food , being eastern Mediterranean made him happy and likewise for an old hand like me, a Turkish Cypriot, meant I had no need for nostalgia when there was the real thing. GO

As one of my friend was fasting and was really hungry we choose to go to durum because of its liability of providing good food. We ordered the platter to share and some byrek with cheese to start with. The service we received was great as our host was keeping an eye on when to serve the food.The place is always busy and always welcome. If you are in the neighbourhood and fancy Turkish there is no place better.

Was staying for work in Travelodge close to Finchley Central Tube Station so checked TA for a good local restaurant and found this place had good reviews. The reviews are all well justified and judging by the stream of take away customers and the tables full of happy diners lots of other people think it's good to. I won't go through a menu of my meal as it's like reading a ball by ball account of a golf round! Interesting for the participant but 'so what' for everyone else. Suffice to say, portions were generous, food was excellently cooked, staff were attentive but not hassling & prices were very reasonable, especially given the quality & portion sizes. Give it a try if you're nearby you won't be disappointed.

We really enjoy this local restaurant. It has good meat and salads and is reasonably priced. We had the hummus, falafel and grilled aubergine with garlic and yogurt. For mains 3 of us had lamb and chicken skewers and the other had lamb chops. The meat was tasty and tender and it was all served with salad. We also ordered fries. We were given 2 dishes on the house- fried onions with mushrooms and olives and for dessert, a baclava and a Turkish delight each. All yummy

We hadn't booked in advance, but the restaurant still managed to fit our table of 6 in on a Friday night. The place had a nice buzzy atmosphere and the staff were very accommodating. Food was very tasty and well-priced. There was a good selection on the menu too. We were given nibbles on the tables, plus Turkish Delight served at the end at no extra charge. If only we lived closer we would be regulars!

We visited the restaurant Friday lunchtime and had the feta parcels and doner main. The feta starter was beautiful and the doner mean is delicious. The portion size of the main had decreased from last time but still as tasty. We were served a basket of pita and two dips upon arrival. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Been yesterday with friends, had raki with mezes and lamb shihs and liver. Everything were perfect, prices were unbelievable, considering 7 men eats plus lots of mezes and lots of raki (turkish spirit) for only less than 200. We have been noisy and laughing loud alot, but everyone was patient about it even though on epoint i thought they will warn us.
