Had the vegetarian beakfast, which was lovely. The mushrooms were amazing, cooked to perfection. Found my new go to place for breakfast with friends.

It took me ages to even find their page! It should be listed as Gardentime Cafe, Dartmouth - then people would find it!! (Not Dunkirk House.). Anyway, this is a great little place to have coffee, breakfast or lunch!! We have eaten here several times and the food is excellent. Every day, the chef makes a homemade soup, sausage rolls, quiches, lasagne, scones, etc. the choice isn’t large but what he makes is delicious! It’s approx. 10 minutes drive outside of Dartmouth in the countryside. The garden centre is also small but services a large area in the beautiful South Hams & provides a good variety of annuals, shrubs & perennials.

Not been here before and just gutted it's not closer to home. The breakfast was cooked fresh, local produce and tasty. The latte was equally tasty. The plants are so healthy, you normally have to glance through plants to find a good one that you want, but not here. The plant leaves and petals look so good, it sounds strange to say it. The prices are reasonable, although the 50% off pots are clearly marked up before the discount - so a bit disappointing. Overall will be returning.

Total lack of customer service. Walked in to order takeaway coffee and absolutely no acknowledgment of presence. She continued preparing orders without even acknowledging me or saying ‘I’ll be a moment’ which is not taxing to do. After 5 minutes of being completely ignored I left and got my coffee elsewhere. At least acknowledge customers when they’re waiting!

We stayed 3 nights, Fri Sat & Sun, very comfortable well furnished room, ensuite, with breakfast (diy) available in little kitchen down the hall. Wonderful old world inn, great bar, and bar food til 8.30 (lunchtime til 5 on Sunday, no evening meal). Very friendly and helpful staff, and wonderful location in the wilds of Dartmoor.

Great Sri Lankan food and plenty of it. Really enjoyed tonight's meal. Sadly the lovely lady owner had to turn away many people as she can't get any staff locally at the moment so is running single handedly. This is why she asks you to pre-order. Do it, it's well worth it. New staff team coming soon we hear. We will be going back.

I loved this pub. We walked from Salcombe and it was well worth it (don't worry, you can drive there too). It had the feel of a genuine pub with some good beers that happened to do great food also. I had possibly the best burger I have had in a long time and my wife had a fantastic steak sandwich. Both were freshly prepared scratch. They have vegan options too. I notice some negative reviews, mostly due to poor service. We arrived at 12 noon on a weekday in October. Even so, the place was full by the time we left, so it is clearly a popular place. The service we experienced was without fault. I hope our experience is the norm.

Great late lunch with family, biggest haddock I have ever seen. Had that locally caught ling, calamri and my wife just cheesy chips. All with crispy fresh batter, chips golden but soft inside. Even cheesy chips were top, 1/2 chips, then cheese, more chips and topping of more cheese. All top quality, even the ice cream and with nice pints of Otter, bitter & ale on tap. Great way to end off long walk on the beach. You won’t be disappointed..
