Nice pub with 'atmosphere' overlooking the River Dart. There's no parking except for a few cars on the slipway at low tide. Nearest car park is a good 400 yards and you need to be pretty fit to endure the return trip. It's not really worth the effort I felt.

Made an impromptu stop here to quench our thirst after a walk around the very pretty (and hilly) village. Whilst wetting our whistles, we couldn’t help but be diverted by the delicious aroma of fresh pizza. Sideways glances at neighbouring tables tipped us over the edge and we had to order. A good call. Cold beer (FBI great), delicious pizza with a great crust and the most amazing view of the River Dart through possibly the cleanest window I have ever seen (we thought it was open 😂) made for a most pleasant lunch. Lovely staff and great service.

Stunning views from this little pub on the foreshore of Dittisham. Seating is nicely laid out but limited. Got an interesting way of closing the door! Few benches outside to sit on in the sunshine and a short walk along the pontoon where you can park your boat for free while you dine. No car parking available, however there is a village carpark for visitors to the area.

I've been here a few times in a boat over the years. What was really disappointing this time was the poor bar service. I'm not a regular so not being served again and again as the boat locals piled in and jumped the queue shows their ignorant approach to infrequent visitors and tourists. So we didn't' bother with food, we headed down the river to a more welcoming pub.

We recently visited the Ferry Boat Inn whilst on holiday. We caught the ferry from Dartmouth to Dittisham, which was the perfect way to arrive. We had booked a table the previous day (probably a good idea to avoid disappointment) and were really pleased that we had the table in the window. The pizzas were absolutely delicious and the staff were all super friendly (not always the case in tourist destinations!) It all made for a very memorable day - thank you. We’ll definitely be back.

After visiting Agatha Christie's house we took the wee ferry over to the Ferry Boat Inn (FBI). While the lunch menu is very simple (baguettes, jacket potatoes, pizza), I was delighted to find they had a gluten-free pizza option. I had the pulled pork, bacon and red onion pizza with BBQ sauce which I struggled to finish - I should have ordered the smaller 9'' one for lunch. Super dog and child friendly too.

An old favourite which always gets it right. After visiting Greenway House we crossed the river on the little ferry from Greenway Quay (a 5* experience in its own right!) and arrived at the FBI at the same time as the passengers arriving by ferry from Dartmouth. We were staying in the village and wanted to go crabbing. Walked down to the Ferry Boat Inn (FBI) as it right on the edge of the River dart where there is a pontoon for crabbing. We only ordered drinks, but the pub has a large selection, three West Country real ales, cask marque accredited. These include Otter bitter badged as FBI bitter, Sharps Doombar and Sharps Atlantic. There is a choice of three lagers, Carling, Stella Artois and Prahva along with a sparkling Stowford Press and a still cloudy and flat old Rosie cider. For the stout drinkers we offer a great pint of Guinness. The pub itself is pink, so no missing it. I didn’t eat there, however, from what I saw, looked really good. One thing to be mindful of is the gradient of the hill coming down, it’s very steep, beware!
