Dunelm in Chichester

Went in for a cuppa and cake before an appointment nearby. Strange welcome at entrance - an abrupt "Have you come for click and collect?' I also wanted to purchase an item I'd seen online and to say the floor stay were unhelpful is an understatement. I got a filthy look for daring to interrupt a conversation amongst themselves. One of them waved a hand saying "Look over there. If it's not there we haven't got any". Decided not to bother with the cafe and left.

Love shopping in dunelm Sadly the customer service is appalling for a big company you thought they would train staff I went into Chichester store this week went upstairs to the cafe 10am Wednesday there was a girl washing up she ignored me at the counter for a few minutes when she eventually decided to come over not one word came out of her much she stood at the till glared at me until I asked her for something. How RUDE !!! she then proceed to out the stuff for drinks on the tray the amount came up I owed still nothing came from her mouth at all not a word She then brought the tea cake over and still nothing so I never said anything either I’ve never experienced such rude behaviour towards a customer I work in hospitality and I think her behaviour was appalling and out right rude who ever trains these people clearly have zero idea about customer service the tables were dirty not been cleaned won’t go in the cafe again. Disgusting all round

Just to say that during the school holidays, for each adult spending £4, one child eats for free! This includes a small main, drink, choc biscuit and crisps! It is easy to reach £4 - just a coffee and cake and u r there! It would be great if this offer continues after the holidays.

Came here today to refund a mirror. Firstly the guy said he’d refunded it and I would get an email half an hour later. I had no email so I had to go back and it was still sat in there as not refunded then another lady refunded and said I’ll get an email Still no email went back. No it’s still haven’t refunded then. He told me I’ve got to ring customer services as he couldn’t do it so I rang customer services from the desk and they told me they couldn’t do it. Eventually the manager went off and rang them and I’ve got to wait for the money to go back into my bank. I’m praying it does, but there’s an hour of my day in hot weather trying to sort out a refund And what didn’t help with sarcastic remarks from old ladies in the queue, who knew nothing about the situation making comments like who needs friends like that? Made the whole experience, very stressful and reluctant to buy online again.

The food i had was nothing special. i wouldn’t of bothered reviewing really but once seated the floors were disgusting in my opinion at 9am these floors should be spotless! u less they had a food party in the night then yesterday’s food was still there under each one. The staff (women) cut my off whilst talk to another. Very rude!

Very poor food, service slow and had to ask for service. The cakes we purchased were very poor quality and expensive. However, when I asked for napkins I was informed that they had none and had a screwed up piece of blue paper handed to me. No attempt was made to explain or present said blue paper in an acceptable manner. See photos.

It looks inviting but don’t be tempted. We went on a Saturday morning and we were the only people in there. But it took almost half an hour for the server to bring our cakes and coffee. The coffee was barely warm and without flavour apart from bitterness! The young girl serving could not have been more slow She was devoid of any personality. Did not smile or even say good morning!

We were shopping I. Store and thought it would be nice to sit down for a coffee and something to eat... how wrong we were! The coffee (latte) was bitter, the almond croissant and scone that we had were both stale, dry as a bone and hard as rocks and half the cutlery in the trays was dirty. Walk right do the corner to John Lewis or M&S - they may be slightly more expensive , but it’s worth the extra few pennies

Popped in for a quick bite to eat at the Chichester store. Service was extremely slow so I can't recommend it ..waited 30 mins for a panini.

I always make a B line for the cafe when over Dunelm in Chi. The staff are polite (normally have the chap serve me) pretty good value for money and the tea cakes and shakes are lovely.

We went at lunchtime today. There was one guy taking orders, making coffee whilst there was a girl in the kitchen as the queue built up. We had a coffee and a coke. Finally 20 mins later our sandwiches turned up. Not good enough Dunelm......you need more staff!

This cafe is a bit of a hidden gem. We had lovely service from the start, nice and clean and the choice of food was not over the top and easy to follow. We chose cheese and bean jacket potato's for lunch and there was no skimping on the filling. We followed with a slice of gateaux each and found this not only filling, but realised we did not need any meals later. I felt we had excellent value for money and will be heading back very soon.

It was utterly dire, I don't really have much in the way of positive things to say unfortunately. Had a long, long wait in the queue to be served. Ordered a coffee and a baked potato, how hard could this be? By the time I got my coffee at the end of the queue, it was tepid and sloshing around in the saucer. The baked potato finally arrived, it was shrivelled, tiny and not that nice. I only ate it as I was really hungry and there was no other option. My friend was still waiting for hers when I had already finished eating. She went back twice to see where her potato was, even though she ordered at the same time as I did. It finally arrived, minus butter, so I gave her mine. As coffee was about an hour ago due to the wait, I ordered a pot of tea. Although there wasn't anyone in the queue at this point, it still took 15 mins for them to put a tea bag and some hot water in a teapot. Absolutely horrible, we spent over £25 between us and I will never go back.

Really nice Cafe. Not large but a good selection of snacks hot and cold. Lovely variety of very tasty cakes plus scones. If visiting this retail park, certainly recommend this venue

Super service and a nice variety of food items and cheaper than many others nearby, clean and nice presentation.....and it doesn't seem to be a contractor operated venue like a lot are.

We tried the Pausa cafe and we were so glad we did. It is right at the end of the retail park within the Dunelm store on the 1st floor. (Lift access if required) Without a doubt, this is the more quieter cafe compared to JL or M&S on the same retail park. Great tasting coffee, friendly service and a good selection of cakes and toasters. Also you will find the prices are cheaper as well. Give this place a try.

Went here as it was quite new and had coffee and cake. It was very nice. Other people were having lunch which looked nice alas.

This store just opened before Christmas and has a wonderful little cafe on the second floor which can be accessed by lift if difficulty with stairs. Enjoyed an afternoon cup of tea before shopping. Clean and bright with a good service
