I was down visiting my mum in Cornwall and we decided on a shopping trip to Truro. Mum had been telling me about this sandwich deli and we decided on it for lunch. I went for the quiche of the day (Brie & Cranberry) and 5 salad items. Very tasty and the salad was super fresh. Mum had a BLT sandwich which was so filling she could only manage half so she took the rest home and enjoyed it later that day! My caramel latte was huge too! All great value.

Delicious cheese salad sandwich today - crisp, fresh salad and a generous quantity of cheese. All the sandwich fillings are enticing, and the salad bar is spotlessly clean, being wiped down while I waited for the sandwich to be made. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My sandwich today was a meal in itself! Many thanks.

Advised by our concierge to head here for a quick lunch bite and left happy. It's a small cafe with a limited menu but the sandwiches and salads served are made fresh and with a smile. We shared a giant pick-your-own salad bowl (maximum cost £5.60) which filled us both and was full of variety. There are small tables outside. Don't dare go to Costa or Starbucks when you can eat this well at a local, independent deli.

Walked past this quaint and well presented deli many times and have been tempted to pop in for a bite and a drink. Today , thankfully, we finally tried it out. Wow! Amazing bacon & chorizo filled jacket potato for myself and goats cheese & roasted veg filled jacket potato for my wife. Both perfectly cooked and generously filled and topped with grilled cheese. Nice large cups of great coffee followed, all served on spotless tables with spotless cutlery and the friendliest of staff you could wish for. Thank you, we shall certainly be regular customers.

Bought a ciabatta today, extremely dry had to eat with a knife and fork (left half of it). Chicken definitely not homemade. Over £5 for the dry roll and packet of crisps. I have been here before in the last few weeks since working in the town and I tried a ciabatta as the sandwiches (tuna) were barely full. I'll go back to the sandwich shop next to the cinema from now on. Home cooked chicken and amazing bread and ciabatta/foccacia (think Baker Toms). Also cheaper! I will try other stuff as it does look good but not for me with the sandwiches :(

My sister and I wanted to find somewhere that did take away salads, since Be Juicy closed, so decided to try here on our lunch break. We both chose a large take away chicken salad box... this turned out to be a tiny little plastic (not ideal for 2019!) box, with chicken that seemed to be from a packet and not fresh. The salads to choose from in the bar were ok, but for £6.40 we were both disappointed and found the salad to be overpriced, small and rather tasteless with poor chicken. You can get a salad twice the size for £4.50 from Kessels Kitchen in Falmouth with much tastier fillings and nicer coleslaw. Probably wouldn’t return unless I was going to try something different that was less expensive.

On many previous visits to the deli we’ve always had very good food and drink, but not today. We ordered two black decaf coffee’s which when they arrived looked suspiciously cloudy. I come in here when I'm craving a top end jacket potato, and the only time I leave disappointed is when they've sold out! The Tuna and Spring Onion jacket potato is to die for, the tuna is mixed in with the potato inside and the melted cheese on the top is delicious. If you have salad go for the coleslaw as it pairs wonderfully. I don't know how they do it but it's amazing! The ladies who work there are always cheerful, and the card machine is contactless for extra bonus points. One thing I might suggest is using less plastic in their take away options, as the polystyrene tubs + forks etc could easily be replaced with cardboard & wood for a more environmentally friendly option.

I always seem to make the Duke Street deli my first calling point when arriving in Truro after a lengthy bus or train journey. It is very conveniently located for the bus station (more distant from the railway station. Try home made soup and a wide range of fresh sandwiches. No other customers there but had to wait ages whist the 3 giggling staff decided which one would take our order. The young girl who finally took our order was cocky and rude whilst the other 2 staff sniggered in the background. Coffees were sat on the side and eventually served to us after we had finished our meal. Maybe because it was Saturday there was little/no effort to value our custom?

Just to start i am no way a greedy person but this deli is one sandwich short of the picnic. We ordered a roll each and i also order a piece of quiche. The quiche was so small it wouldnt have filled my 18 month old son up. The rolls were the part baked type and again tiny. We paid nearly £15 for that and a drink and was left somewhat disappointed. I've got my lunch here on a number of occasions and I've always been impressed. The sandwiches are very fresh with great bread and some very interesting fillings (I love the crab). They are slightly pricier than some of the other places in Truro but they are so good that its worth the price. The stuffed jacket potatoes are amazing too (and again, something a little different) as is the salad bar. I guess my only complaint would be the lack of seating. But it's so close to my work place it's not an issue for me generally.
