What a lovely afternoon spent at Dresser’s Tearoom for my sister’s baby shower. The whole team were amazing. They were extremely helpful, supporting me to set up with all of the decorations, even helping tie the balloons together. We opted for an afternoon tea and every layer was delicious! Everything was freshly made and my sister even got to choose the selection of cakes! The team catered for the vegetarians and vegans amongst us extremely well and nothing was too much to ask. They were extremely attentive, our tea and coffee were always topped up and the leftover food was boxed up for us to take away before it went stale. Thank you for hosting such a special afternoon for all of us! We’ll definitely be back for tea and cake in the very near future!

We held my Mum's 80th birthday at Dressers Tea room and what a wonderful time we had. We had afternoon tea for our family of 14. We were spoilt with beautiful cakes, sandwiches and fresh cream scones. The staff were welcoming and really looked after us and had also put out birthday decorations for us. Thank you to all at the tea rooms for making a special afternoon for my mum.

Very friendly staffs, ordered tea set for 2 £26, 4 mini scones, 2 full sandwiches, 6 small cakes, it would be cheaper if you order them alone, the ham is not BEST as it says on the menu, only the cheap supermarket ones, also the bread just from Aldi, won’t recommend it 😒

From the moment you walk in, every aspect of this cafe comes to welcome you with a hug. From the cosy fireplace, to the beautiful china and the vintage music, you feel transported to a different place entirely - even the cutlery is beautiful! I had poached eggs on toast both of which were cooked perfectly and took some cake home which was a lovely treat after work. I'd like to come back and just sit for a while, soaking in the ambience of this gem of a cafe.

A very pleasant break in surroundings last visited by me 60(sixty) years ago. The Museum has lost some of its authenticity but the Cafe retains the original charm of the place. Would recommend a call on visiting the Museum or just for a general snack or a meal in a yesteryear friendly ambiance.

I took my mixed generation family for lunch here after a visit to the hugely entertaining Dorman Museum, within which the tearoom is situated. The setting is wonderful with vintage decor, the food choices are varied and there were tasty options for large and small appetites, and the staff were some of the friendliest servers we have ever met. It was just a genuinely lovely lunch and I will visit every time we bring family to the museum.

I had scone and tea after a visit around the museum. I love this period so wanted to see, sadly for me it was decorated in Halloween so took away from some of the charm but totally understandable given the time of year! The music played was perfect, nice Earl Grey. Scone was good but they hadn't any clotted cream as on the menu so offered squirty cream which is not the same and packet jam. However, the scone was good 0 just missing some of the little touches. Overall, really nice place, well done and reasonably priced.

Sat in the tearoom on Saturday the 8th at lunchtime and enjoyed a cup of tea and a scone. A young couple arrived with a baby of around 1 year old. They politely asked if they could give him some snacks they had with them whilst they ordered some refreshments from the menu. They were told they were not allowed to give their child the snack. The couple politely left, no doubt to sit outside in the cold while their child ate and they didn't have a cup of tea. This was mean spirited in a family museum with limited places for people to sit outside of the cafe environment. This was not a family picnic it was a tired child eating a snack whilst the adults were ordering drinks. This attitude has ensured we will never go back to this cafe although the tea and scone were OK.

They have a wonderful tea room which we first visited last year and it’s like stepping back in time with its very quaint and old fashion service and decor, as well as being very popular with visitors to the museum and their very own clientele. After lots of reviews and recommendations, me and my husband and it was awful. Mini breakfast came without sausages and so we asked the kitchen and only then we were told that they had no sausages, but shouldn’t we be told before ordering? When we paid the bill it was £10.40 and I had £10.34 with me and I’m not saying I shouldn’t pay the full amount but without sausages I think a 10p differences could be let off. Shocking. Over the last month myself and a friend have become regulars in dressers since we started walking round Albert park to keep fit,, been going in once or twice a week for a nice cuppa tea....made to perfection in a lovely China pea pot and a knitted teacosy (love them) all the food we have had as been delicious and what we love is that they cater for everyone as they do a healthy option,, healthy option cakes are yummy and they do other things like a healthy option sausage..nothing is too much trouble,, the staff are great and so friendly,, always make u welcome,, would definitely recommend this place.Keep up the fab work ladies xxx

A superb place for tea ,coffee and light snacks after visiting the museum or Albert Park .The food and drink are served on real china plates and the teapot had a knitted tea cosy. The staff were so friendly and made us feel special. There was a pleasing choice of sandwiches ,jacket potatoes and the cakes were to die for .The tea room is child friendly with a superbly priced children's picnic meal as one option for them .We will be back.

Excellent meal and brilliant service . I was up in Middlesbrough to watch the football and a former employee recommended this place to me . It was a great shout - highly recommend

Popped in for lunch on a Monday, cafe not busy but barbers fully booked. Cafe is a bit of a hidden gem! I had a ham and cheese panini and my boyfriend enjoyed a Roman stack which was delicious. Will definitely return to try other stacks!

Tried out for the first time today and can't wait to come back. Had the soup of the day (butternut squash and red pepper) and it was delicious! So flavourful and a very generous portion. The GF cake had a sandy/unpleasant texture so wasn't too keen on that but could happily eat the soup every day. I am already craving it again. Friendly staff too. Will be back.
