Got a very tasty takeaway from Dragon House. Placed order over phone, got told +\- an hour, got 10min early 😁 driver was very friendly and the food portion was large and still warm! Enjoyed the fresh cooked food and flavours. We would be back!

2 and 1/2 wait!!!!! Not the first time either. Awful service!!!

Best Chinese I'm the area hands down

One of the best Chinese in bristol always friendly and polite , food is always fresh and tasty full of flavour happy to do submissions from certain dishes, I belive you also get prawn crackers with orders over a certain amount . Never had a bad meal from here after 10 years of coming here .

House Special Fried Rice is lush 😋 and is a decent portion too 😊.

TASTELESS & FOOD MISSING & EXTREMELY SLOW SERVICE!! We are new to the area so wanted to give a takeaway a go , we ordered at 7.01pm on a Sunday , without us asking the guy on the phone shouted through the kitchen to ask how long our order would be , in a reply we were told 1 hour. We were still waiting 1 hour 15 mins later (which was when I rang to ask where it was ) to be told our food was still cooking and hadn’t left the building yet , and the time given was apprently ‘estimated’ however that’s not what we told , we were under the understanding it would be 1 hour , if we knew how late our food was going to arrive I would never have ordered it as I have to be up at the crack of drawn for work in the morning. It arrived 1 hour 40 minutes later (40 mins late) we no longer wanted the food as I needed to get my head down for an early start at work in the morning , however we were so hungry we tried to eat it quickly which was a waste of money as it was tasteless , all dishes tasted the time , if I had a blind fold on I wouldn’t have tasted the different between each dish also the food was meant to be part of the evening we were enjoying , I didn’t order to eat and go straight to bed as if that was the case I would have saved my money and eat at home. Not to mention I was missing my curry sauce which I assume I’ve paid for and made my food so dry. Won’t be ordering ever again.

Massive delays on the weekends. Was told 40-45 mins wait on phone. 1hr15 before i was able to collect my food. They should stop orders when it gets to 30-45 mins behind.

The food isn’t too bad. If other places are shut I would use this place instead, until my last visit. The woman who runs the place has always been very rude but the last time I went she started screaming at me for asking how much the salt and chilli box that I had ordered was as the last time I had ordered it I was charged £7.50 and this time she charged me £10.20. I didn’t even argue it I just asked as I was surprised and said that maybe I was undercharged last time. The way she shouted for no reason was vile and after all the attitude she’s given before I’ve decided I won’t go there again. The man who works there has always been lovely though it’s just the woman who is disgusting

We ordered and paid and then, half an hour later, we get this angry call from someone there saying they haven’t received the payment. We tried to pay again and she swore at us and hung up! Don’t bother!

Pour lad at the front of house just gets the lady from the kitchen yelling random numbers/times at him. We ordered at 6:00 for a big order and at 7.30pm phone them and was told 30mins. It’s now 8:40 sat here for 40 mins after being told an another 20 mins when we got here.. The phone keeps ringing with other customers asking how much longer their food is going to be. My god I hope it taste good. The worst customer service ever! Taking on another member of staff might be a good idea 👍

The food is always great, but the wait is ridiculous. We were told it would be 45 minutes to an hour for our takeaway to be ready for us to pick up and it took 2 hours. If staff had said it would take 2 hours we would have taken it on the chin and planned our evening around it. We really felt for the member of staff behind the counter who was clearly getting it in the neck from other customers who were also tired of waiting. Just be realistic and manage customers' expectations!

Incredible. Waits can be a bit longer but for good reason. Its not fast food, its fresh home made. Would wait twice as long, its best chinese ive had in Bristol.

Takeaway from Dragon House is always a treat! Everything tastes fresh & they have some different items on the menu than you’d normally see from a Chinese Takeout. They’re polite & efficient on the phone & usually throw in free prawn crackers if you ask nicely.

For a family-run local Chinese takeaway, this place hits the spot. Great food and very polite staff. The only issue I would have is the wait time. It does take quite a while for collection or delivery, but it’s worth the wait because the food is still nice and hot and tastes delicious.

Whilst the food is good, we ordered at 5.45 pm and the food took 2 hours and 15 minutes to turn up. No apology just tough we are busy. What’s the point of calling early if it then takes that long to cook!

We were out of town, recommended this and were NOT disappointed. Freshly cooked so takes a bit longer but was WELL worth waiting for! Recommended- house special rice with oyster sauce!!!

Unfortunately they're working only when they want. Tried to order from them a couple of times but they're always closed when actually they should be open.

Good - That bit better, decent portion, chips stayed crispy for drive. Everything was the right side of proper. Eaten everywhere in the area and most in Bristol and this scores way higher. Chilli on the lamb would be amazing Dry herb Chinese style and spicier. Bad - satay too sweet, .

Had to cancel my order after waiting over an hour and they still hadn’t even started making it by this point

I know that on a Saturday evening is very busy but, I cannot believe that I had to wait for almost 3 hours for my order to arrive! At least they could let me know that it is going to take more or less then 3 hours and I was ok with that, but the think is that they told me at the beginning that is very busy! But I think instead of not telling me approximately how long is going to take or to ask me if I'm willing to wait for 3/4/5 hours or not to order anymore and I would've been more than happy to refuse or to accept to wait forever! My children are starving and they came to ask me every hour, when is the food coming! So disappointed!

I'm extremely dissapointed I placed an order 3 hours ago now and my food still hasn't arrived we have been ordering from here the last few months and love the food but this is the second time we have had an issue now I called twice now to ask about my food they said they will get deliver it as soon as possible and still nothing 2 hours later

Normally have the home delivery service, tonight's order arrived and paid quoted new prices. Unfortunately one item was short on delivery so phoned and wow "The customer is wrong" arguments in the kitchen and they wanted us to pay for the shortage as well as delivery. They don't understand the meaning of customer service when they get it wrong. Also asked about new pricing and they quoted totally different prices to what we were told at ordering, talk about angry "again customer is wrong"

We keep going back so I think that says it all. Can be extremely busy at peak times.

Such a waste of money and time. The most awful food ever. Too much salt and soggy looking. I had to bin it. Waited for more than hour for a simple order. No urgency at serving customers. Very terrible. I do not recommend.

Food was good just the time it took to cook it is excessive. The young man serving us was quite unatentive to our needs . As front of house very poor.

Having eaten from this takeaway probably around 30 times, I can honestly say it's the best and most consistently delicious Chinese I have ever had in my life, and I've had a lot! My partner and myself order the same thing every time and it's always exactly the same as the last time. Cannot recommend highly enough....sometimes takes a while to deliver but its totally worth the wait

Lovely food but expect to wait a bit.

We have used Dragon House since the turn of the century, and even after moving to Mangotsfield we still use it as our go to Chinese. The food is excellent. However, recently we have made the sad decision to stop using it as the wait times on a Saturday night have become ridiculous. Ringing at 5 takes around 25 mins to get connected, and then collection is sometimes an hour and a half after that. We will be back, but for now, the wait times have meant we are trying elsewhere.

Lovely chinese! Been ordering from here for many years and the food is consistently excellent. Always extremely busy on a Saturday night though so get your orders in early or you might be in for a long wait. Delivery option also available.

Ordered food for delivery and paid by card when the driver came he said I had to pay cash. I refused as already paid he said no and took the order and left. Will never order from them again

Tonight we ordered Special Chicken Curry and Special fried rice on the phone, went round in 15 minutes to pick it up and it was ready on time. It was only £10.30 which I thought was good and it was one of the best Chinese meals I've had recently. I only live round the corner from this place so that's a real bonus.

He’s tall slim bold white male who has been rude to us more than once now, we have repeatedly asked him not to knock when he delivers as he is very impatient he’s perpously bangs loud each time and has sworn at my partner.

We ordered a large meal for 3 at half 8 and was told 1 hour for delivery, which is fair enough on a Saturday night. After one and a half hours it hasn't arrived so rang them up to be told "sorry. We forgot. to send your order to the kitchen". Unbelievable and no offer to try and rectify or rush the order through. Unacceptable. Shall not bother again

Food always good quality. Living 3 miles away there's a lot of alternatives but we always pick Dragaon House. From the Crispy duck Chicken Satay and Bean Curd dishes, highly recommended.

We have used Dragon House many times for just my wife and me. Sometimes we we have used for family get togethers with 12 or more people. The food has always be first class and hot and delivery times within there given time and friendly​ delivery drivers

Second visit to Dragon House having been recommended by a friend. On both occasions the portions have been excellent and the food has been wonderful. I read some bad reviews of late but these should not put you off ordering from Dragon House you'll not be disappointed.

My 83 year old Grandma decided to treat us to a takeaway and we found this menu amongst the others she had. The menu had a good selection so we went for Dragon House. The estimated time for delivery was long - 45mins to an hour but it's a Saturday night so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We called at the 1hr 15 mark and they said the food was on the way without taking any details of who we were. Another 20mins later and the food was finally delivered. The portions were decent sizes but the quality of the food left a lot to be desired. The chips were cold and hard. The ribs only had 3 rib bones and were gristly. The pork in chili sauce had no spice to it whatsoever. The black bean lamb and prawn omelette were passable at best. We received no apology for the lateness and all of us were bitterly disappointed.
