The best Chinese takeaway in Newport, always fresh tasting ingredients and no MSG, always my first choice tastes authentic not like some others and a calendar as well !

Always a speedy service when ordering. The food is always tasty especially the chow main dishes! Reasonable prices! We always order from this restaurant! :)

Absolutely gorgeous food , best Chinese in years , have had a mix of different meals from here and all have been great , favourite is the mixed meat curry and salt and pepper chips . Highly recommend.

Nice Chinese, we had the salt and pepper chips, salt and pepper chicken, young chow fried rice, BBQ sauce, and the mixed starter platter and some prawn crackers The mixed starter was good the bbq ribs, chicken satays & seaweed & prawn toast. The young chow fired rice was nice, a little dry for my liking but found the BBC sauce a bit sour but it accompanied the rice nice. The salt and pepper chicken and chips was decent. The Chinese was really nice and would go again if we visit the isle of wight in the future.

Food was microwaved and didn’t taste that good. Was very very disappointed!

The restaurant itself was very polite and friendly in trying to find our cottage for delivery, which we appreciated and although given an estimate of 30-45mins for delivery I'm sure it came alot sooner. However, unfortunately the food didn't taste up to par. The chow mein wasn't really a proper chow mein and lacked flavour and taste. The fried rice, was bland and looked like boiled rice with added meat. Other food ordered unfortunately wasn't enjoyed as much due to lacking flavour.

I never and when I mean NEVER LEAVE negative reviews but you have a girl ruining your business on your phone taking orders. I canceled my order and wanted to ring back to speak to the manger and she has taken the phone off the hook, she is screwing up your business. GET RID

I never leave negative reviews but today I am absolutely disgusted with with how I was spoken to by the staff at dragon city, not only was the food freezing cold they forgot 3 items when I called to just mention the 3 missing items the women proceeded to call me a liar (our order come to £60+ I had no need to try and haggle some free extras) 😂 the women argued her point for 20 minutes that she packed them herself even after being respectful and the items took another 20 minutes to turn up. The whole meal was ruined by how cold it was. I’ve never had a bad experience with dragon city until today but I will absolutely never order from them again! Not even a sorry for forgetting our food or being spoke to like dirt. Disgusting.

Had about 30 meals plus delivered, always good , one order was wrong but could have been me, always read the order back to you. Plenty of meat in main dishes. Would welcome the online page back from before with only 1 phone line.

Great highly recommend fresh, hot food

First time I ordered from Dragon City I thought I would give them a try and see what they were like ,I was not disappointed the food was piping hot and absolutely delicious to eat !! the delivery guy was very friendly will definitely order from these again, rather than any others in Newport 5*

7months we have lived here and have tried 3 other restaurants in newport this one is by far the best and we will be sticking with it food is lovely delivery fast and finally a sweet and sour sauce I like.

One of the Best Chinese on the island, food arrived in good time, not greasy, good quality ingredients. We have made this our go to Chinese now. Good value too.

Great price and really tasty food. No aspect wasn't up to scratch, but the satay skewers were incredible.

First time ordering food from here. Telephone answered quickly and order read back to confirm. Meal ready at time stated. We had a meal for 2 which was reasonably priced and tasted fantastic. Even the BBQ ribs were meaty, unlike some that are dry and tasteless. Would definitely return.

We ate from here last night and had a chicken and beef chow mein. I can honestly say it was the worst chinease meal i've ever eaten. Compared to most of the other takeaways in newport this was above average. Kimbos in lake still by far the best Chinese takeaway on the island

Had a bad meal here. Noodles weren’t great, rice was cold, pork was dry, the prawns were mushy and overall the meal really wasn’t nice. I did contact then via messenger, they read my messages and chose to ignore me. Seems this place is hit and miss..... with a very poor customer service. Would not recommend at all.

Gave it a try when they first opened. God awful curry and rice, very bland flavour. Just chicken dumped in a bland sauce, just before packing. Never again

Suburb food, fast delivery. Probably the best on the island.

They delivered 15mins before the asked time on the Friday night. Small rice came free with the main. You could have a meal for £6. The food tasted lovely and the delivery lady was very polite. Would order again!

Excellent food and very staff. Special mention for the ability to order online with the option for paying cash and delivery time! Some great options for my gluten free friends too! (very similar to Hong Kong express in presentation, but tastes far superior)

Had a lovely takeaway with family. Delivery as quoted took around 45 minutes .Really lovely, flavoursome meals, nicely cooked. Only criticism is that the food was not overly hot Would recommend

The best Chinese takeaway we have had in Newport for years! Fantastic food. The large pancake rolls are packed full of flavour and the Singapore chow mein is so fresh and tasty. Nothing is swimming in grease. Love it💖🍜

First (and last) order from Dragon City. Sadly, both chicken dishes I ordered were incredibly dry and so over-cooked to the point I couldn’t eat any of it. Such a waste of money.

I'm really happy to see a good representation of a family business open on the Newport High Street. Good service and delicious. Good quality for the price and it's always nice to see lots of prawns in my dish. I will be coming again.
