Lovely spot to stop, shop and refuel! Great coffee and gorgeous cakes! You can just about get away from the crowds here, worth venturing away from the middle of Padstow, just on edge of shop area, perfect for walkers coming off coast path at Padstow from Hawkers Cove!

Managed to get a table outside. Lovely to sit & watch the world go by. Great icecreams & my son said his vanilla milkshake was just the best!..having been disappointed with one he’d had a couple of days before in Polzeath which was really bland and not sweet. Lovely staff & the shop has lots of great gifts and souvenirs. Love this shop thanks guys x

This is a lovely little takeaway that has LOTS of vegan options. About 5 different vegan pasties to choose from (I tried the sweet potato, mushroom and sundried tomato one and it was delicious!) They also have vegan sausage rolls, vegan flatbread and some vegan cakes! Staff are very polite and helpful.

Popped in to get takeaway coffees and cakes here this morning. COV-iD measures almost non- existent! ( sign showing one way around shop obscured by towel roll. 2 tiny arrows on floor & 3 sets of footprints. Hand sanitiser available) Staff disinterested and more keen nattering to each other. No 'hello', please or thankyou. Coffee and cakes were okay.

Called in for a hot drink following a wet and windy walk with dogs. Flabbergasted at prices especially a cup (normal size) of basic hot chocolate. No frills in the form of marshmallows. Cost £3.30!!! Won't be repeating the experience especially as the staff really gave the impression that I was interrupting their chat and had the temerity to actually order something!

Me, my dad and my brother ordered a coffee here on an afternoon and the coffee was delicious. Their latte was smooth and balanced as a good coffee should be. My oat milk in my flat white seemed a little weak, unsure what brand they use but I'd recommend oatly as it goes better with espresso coffee. Needless to say after being spoiled by coffee aroma in Lincoln this place was a much needed spot.

Albeit I only called in to purchase a bottle of water (the price of which I will be referring to later), the lady who served me was unfriendly, cold and completed lacked basic customer service. After my payment went through, I wasn't thanked or said goodbye to. I also think the prices in this established are the epitome of Padstow greediness, I cannot believe a bottle of water was £1.50 and a panini was a fiver! It was not even made in front you, it was just in a packet. If you want my advice, visit many other cafe establishments in the harbour which are more reasonably priced and give you far better customer service.

We were in Padstow for the day and walked round looking for somewhere for lunch. A lot of places were expensive, one place wanted £12 for a crab sandwich ! There were people sitting outside this cafe but as it was hot I asked if they had seating inside. To the right they have a charming room. My husband had a panini and I had a toastie. They were both delicious, the pot of tea was huge. The lot came to £14 and a few pence. Excellent.

Me and my partner made a visit to the beautiful town of Padstow today and thought we would stop off for an ice-cream at Down By The Ferry. I thought what a lovely little place, they sold coffee, ice cream and lovely gifts. I could not see the board which detailed the flavours of ice cream (although I believe there was one), so I asked the lady behind the counter what flavours there was, this obviously irritated her as she replied with a stern face and attitude for me to go outside the shop and have a look myself through the window. I thought would it have been a great deal to show me the board which listed this or for her to even tell me. I walked away and decided I didn't want the ice cream due to the look on her face. My partner got a coffee and came outside and advised the lady never said please, thank you or even smiled and said she was very rude. It's a shame as the other staff were friendly.

Avoid this cafe if you're a coffee lover. Cappuccino was average, the Americano too watery and the flat white bitter and milky. Having experience as a barista, I would say it's a cheap coffee machine. On the upside, it's a decent gift shop.

Being a keen cyclist I do thousands of miles a year and the driving force is to visit cafes and have coffee! On top of that I travel all over UK walking and again visiting coffee shops is the best bit !! Been to the above twice this week with my wife and we can both say this place turns out the best coffee ever . It’s not pretentious with outrageous prices in this wealthy area . It’s a rustic place in a setting by the harbour with really friendly staff, but the icing on the cake is their Cappucino !

Whilst staying in Padstow for 2 weeks we visited here numerous times for coffee. The coffee is fabulous and the items in the patisserie are lovely. A very friendly and quick service. I was all ready to give this review 5 stars......... on our last day we went for early morning coffee and were considering having our lunch there as well. A couple came and sat 2 seats down from us and the guy was smoking. Because of the wind direction it was blowing straight at us and over our coffee. He quickly finished it and stubbed it out on the floor (nice!). They ordered coffee and when it came the woman asked can we smoke? The waiter said yes i will bring you an ashtray. They both lit up so we had double smoke over our coffee. As this place only has seats outside and they are very 'cozy' then surely they could ban smoking? We eat at numerous places that do not allow smoking on the patio or terrace.

Found this place while having a stroll around Padstow and decided to sit awhile. Coffee is good and strong here and the view of the water is relaxing. We had the bacon rolls which were very nice indeed. We had the place to ourselves as it was a bit of a damp, dull day but on our return later in the week, only one table was available. Stayed in one of the adjacent Quarryman's Cottages over Christmas and the New Year and had quite a few meals in the pub. Always got a friendly welcome. Not a bad choice on the menu and sampled quite a few dishes during our visits, all of them well cooked and presented and very tasty. Guest cask ales were also very nice. Couldn't fault the service. Traditional Sunday lunch was also very good, with lots of veg and a choice of roast beef or pork.
