Dower House Cafe in Edinburgh, City of

Hemos estado aquí un número de veces, y por una buena razón! Este es un encantador café está situado en un entorno verdaderamente único. The Dower House es un maravilloso edificio lleno de historia local con un fantástico museo dirigido por voluntarios y sala de archivo. El café sirve una variada selección de bebidas, como té, café y refrescos. Los bocadillos y pasteles son absolutamente increíbles. El personal es amable y acogedor. Esta es la joya de la corona de Corstorphine.

Muy básico dentro de este pequeño edificio histórico, pero la comida que se ofrece es muy buena si es caro. Los asientos son muy incómodos. El personal era muy amable y servicial.

Acabo de terminar de cortarme el pelo cruzando la calle y fui a por un café y un rollo. La focaccia con tocino Brie y arándano tostado fue absolutamente increíble. Pero me encanta el café, el grano caliente y súper saborizado. Uno para intentarlo.

Finalmente visitó la Casa Dower hoy. Tan decepcionado. Una mujer tratando frenéticamente de servir a una larga cola de clientes. Los asientos exteriores se tejen húmedos después de la noche antes de que llueva (¡Es Escocia los acoge!) El perro de un cliente en la larga cola hizo caca en el suelo del café. Café y bollos estaban bien, pero no me apresuro a volver a este circo.

Vivo cerca de Corstorphine, y no sabía que este hermoso pequeño lugar existía hasta hace poco. Un amigo y yo llegamos a la cafetería para tomar café y pastel, y nos recibió el personal encantador y amable. Su café descafeinado es excelente (un hallazgo raro) , y su tarta de limón es delicioso y también la textura perfecta! No estaba demasiado firme o poco horneado; ¡eran los ricitos de oro de las tartas de limón! Nos sentamos afuera bajo el sol, disfrutando de nuestra puesta al día y saboreando nuestros deliciosos cafés y golosinas dulces. Tienen algunas tumbonas muy lindas disponibles en el exterior, así como una zona de estar arriba, pero, como tengo varios problemas de movilidad, me encantó ver que también ofrecen muebles de jardín de madera (los asientos son muy cómodos). Ahora que sé que el café Dower House está allí, me aseguraré de volver pronto.

We regularly pop to the Dower House cafe to meet up for a coffee and cake after walking our dogs. Sitting outside in the sunshine is lovely and its equally cosy and dog friendly inside too. Love this wee spot.

Visited with friends for a quick coffee. Lovely friendly service, brilliant coffee, and good selection of cakes. Peaceful, chilled rooms upstairs perfect for chilling out. Wonderful addition to the park

Yummy coffee and snacks in a fun, serene and mystical spot for inspiration in the old part of Corstorphine. I take my laptop with me regularly. Staff are super friendly and attentive!!

Amazing place for lunch and coffee. Friendly staff and owners. Always feel welcome when visiting. The food is consistently good and it is a beautiful building. The Cafe is turned into the heart of the local park since opening up. Dog friendly, there are spaces inside and outside, they do take-away coffee and cake.

Friendly staff, lovely coffee and good cake. Even organised for the sun to come out for us which was excellent. Will come back.

This cafe, previously open only two mornings a week and staffed by volunteers, now operates daily and has done since November 2021. There's a nice young man and partner who run the place and they sell baked items with the coffee and tea. They're using rooms in the Dower House which is a sort of archive/museum for Corstorphine. They're going to get overwhelmed once the better weather comes along so they'd better make sure they have extra personnel to clear and clean table surfaces. It's a welcome sight after a walk and it's not Costa which is a bonus.

Paid a quick visit this morning, lovely friendly welcome, good choices of cake on the menu, nice to be served a good pot of tea. Great addition to the area, looking forward to sitting outside when it warms up a bit!

Heard about this new cafe so had to pop in. We got a lovely welcome as soon as we stepped into the cafe. Sat upstairs over looking the park. We got lattes, which where very nice. Even do vegan food. Will definitely go back.

Quality food, excellent service, friendly staff. Great place to go after a morning in the nearby zoo. Not a huge menu which I think is a good thing, they clearly take care to do it right. Many thanks.

My mum and I came across this cafe by accident. We just had coffee but really enjoyed the experience and the coffee was delicious. Very welcoming staff who provided great service and great advice, atmosphere very cosy. Will definitely be back.

This cosy cafe is part of the historic Dower House and right in the heart of St Margaret's Park in Costorphine. I went on a cold but sunny November day, and couldn't decide whether to sit with my coffee on the bench in front, or inside next to the warm and cosy log fire. Also great if you just want to grab a coffee when you go to the play ground or walk your dog in the park.
