Delicious food and the dosa is exceptional especially the coconut chutney..

The service could have been better, as we had requested specific items at specific times, but that wasn’t taken into consideration. Everything ended up arriving in reverse order, and we had to wait and remind the staff about our order.

I wish i can give 0 rating … it was my wifes birthday and i visited this restaurant but they cant manage the rush of customers… i waited 20 minutes to give order and after that one member took order than i waited almost 35 minutes and then when i asked status of order that lady forgot what is my order she ask me again after 35 minutes that what i ordered!! I have to catch a train so i leave that restaurant… unfortunately they spoiled our day wrost experience ever … i will never visit this in future

Worst experience…. Went with family Service was too slow ordered papdi chat(without red chilly powder) n they serve with red chilli powder and they change it 2time but with same red chilli powder. No chance to visit again

I had a very disappointing experience. I ordered chicken fried rice, but it had a strong fishy smell and was completely inedible. I called the restaurant to inform them, and they asked me to come back, promising to replace the food. However, when I went there, they gave me the same food again without any real change. Worst experience — definitely not ordering again.

I had the chicken fried rice at Dosa World in Bournemouth, and it was absolutely amazing! The flavors were spot on, the portion was generous, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. The dish was fresh, well-seasoned, and had a great balance of spices. Definitely one of the best I’ve had! The staff were friendly and the service was great too. Much appreciation to the chef — hats off to you! ‍‍. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving delicious South Indian or Indo-Chinese food!

Fantastic Experience at This Indian Gem! I had the Special Masala Dosa and it was absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. Ordered mysore masala and chicken masala dosa!😂 And was served with normal masala dosa, wow🤣 mysore masala dosa has a filling of beetroot couldn’t see single piece of beetroot!! Chicken masala dosa had just chicken pieces with just potatoes in it hardly cooked!🤣

Extremely disappointing experience! Ordered their so-called ‘Lamb Kadai Ghost’—what arrived was clearly cheap mutton with a terrible, raw taste. The Chicken 65 was even worse, tasteless chicken drowned in thick, greasy batter. Absolutely unacceptable quality. The only edible item was the frozen parotta, and even that was just average. Also, the staff also didn’t seem interested in making the experience better. I wouldn’t recommend it

The worst place I've ever ordered today placed my order at 11.22am today as it said they open at 12.30 but I never received my food and the order was cancelled coz they didn't prepare on time

Good food and friendly service; yummy dosa of multiple varieties soft affordable price and I loved the tea. Gets a bit loud at lunch rush but otherwise good vibes.

I used to be a big fan of Dosa World, but unfortunately, the quality has been declining day by day. The chicken fried rice is excessively oily, and its taste has worsened compared to before. Similarly, the chicken lollipop and chili 65 are disappointing. Overall, the food is nowhere near as good as it used to be, and instead of improving, it has only gotten worse. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone, as the taste has deteriorated drastically.

The food quality was not as expected. The paneer Rava Dosa and chutneys lacked salt, the Fried Rice had an overburnt aroma, and the Paneer Butter Masala was overly sweet. However, the service remained excellent as always.

Fabulous service by Rakesh. Food was wonderful and the special thali is super good. Feels like home.

Brilliant traditional food. Dosas are great for a lunch time snack. Not particularly heavily filled though so I'd definitely recommend a starter. I've been visiting here for a while, this review I'm editing is from 8 years ago, and I have to say the service has improved a lot since then while the food quality has remained as good. Price wise things are a bit expensive when it comes to the starters, probably better to just eat two dosa ..

This the best place in bournemouth, where i can eat good Indian food with good flavours… i tried so many places but i never liked any restaurant, as i am north indian so i barely like any indian food here… but u guys are fabulous.. i order takeaway and the malai kofta and prontha and naan was fabulous.. thanks for the tasty food…

Good service and varieties of tasty dishes.

Genuinely don't bother. I was really hoping to love this place but had to call five times to discuss missing items and they gave us different information each time. The food we did get was overpriced different colours of tasteless slop. The dips all came in one big pot which wasn't helpful for an extended family sharing. Needless to say we won't be back. Maybe we caught the restaurant on an off day, but I really wouldn't recommend anyone buys from here.

Took my mother here for her 63rd birthday and it's by far the best meal we have had out for a long time. Excellent service,huge portions, a bit of a wait for food but well worth it the food was delicious especially the rice, it had so much flavour and I'm not really a rice person. Highly recommend.

The food is very good and the server is very polite and friendly. I have given this restaurant a very negative review last year but now since they have changed the staff it is really good. We always enjoy going to this restaurant with family and friends.

A Disappointing Experience with Lamb Biryani Today i visited a well-rated restaurant, eager to try their lamb biryani, which had garnered rave reviews online. Unfortunately, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment. When the dish arrived, it was visually unappealing. The rice was clumped together and lacked the fragrant aroma typically associated with good biryani. The lamb was tough and dry, making it nearly inedible. It was evident that the chef had neglected to check the food quality before serving, as the spices were unevenly distributed, leaving some bites flavorless while others were overwhelmingly salty. Despite my hopes for a memorable meal, the experience was marred further by inattentive service. It took quite some time to get a server’s attention to express my concerns, and even then, their response was lackluster. I ultimately left without finishing my meal, feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. A good biryani is a labor of love, but this dish clearly missed the mark. I won’t be returning, as it’s crucial for a chef to ensure the quality of their food before it reaches the table. 0/5

Corrrrr what a find ! Just randomly spotted this place and fancied a curry with the family , didn’t even look at the reviews till after . The food was UNREAL!! Best ive ever had . We had starters and mains and it was all so so tasty . We were very welcomed , read previous reviews saying staff were rude etc not our experience quite the opposite good banter :) Highly recommend this place ! Thanks for having us .

I went to this place few days back and the food was really tasty. You get the proper authentic indian taste. This is my ho to place now for everytime i want to eat indian food. Want to go to indian place then this is the one of the best place. The only recommendation is to add more north indian options as well in the menu. As of now it is more of south indian food.

Food was actually good and have no complaint about that.This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had, and it was mostly due to the staff Rakesh. He was disorganized, inattentive, and had no sense of hospitality.The lack of professionalism and courtesy from Rakesh working there was shocking. It’s clear that customer service is not a priority at this place. I definitely won’t be going back.

i visited here today with my friend and we ordered masala dosa . The food was good but i was very uncomfortable with their service, all staffs were polite and welcoming but there is a male staff with beard whose behaviour was very rude, arrogant and very disrespectful , This is not the service that the customer expect as well as i saw him raising his voice against another customer .

From the moment we were seated, he greeted us with a warm smile and took the time to explain the menu in detail, offering personalized recommendations based on our preferences. Throughout the time Rakesh was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our drinks were always topped off and that we had everything we needed. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and his enthusiasm for the dishes added to the overall experience. What truly stood out with his ability to anticipate our needs—whether it was suggesting the perfect food or checking in at just the right moments. His friendly demeanor and genuine care made us feel valued and welcomed.

Today I visited here, the food was really good and the staffs who served us was good but when my friend asked for student discount at billing, one of the male staff who is beard came and insulted him. Is this the way a customer to be treated!!! I really like this restaurant but because of this incident I will not be going there in future!!!

Es la primera y última vez que hago un pedido a Dosa World. Pedí un curry de cordero para llevar en el hueso. El curry no estaba en el hueso, a pesar de que era muy sabroso, había unos 7 trozos muy pequeños de cordero en un recipiente muy pequeño. Por 13 libras. 00 , solo para el curry, habría esperado una porción mayor, sin embargo era muy pequeña. No volveré a pedirles nada. No se obtiene una buena relación calidad-precio

Ordered Masala Dosa , Mysore masala dosa and Idli for 4 persons. Must say the dosa was the best I have eaten in the UK. Sambar was literally what I used to have in India . I wish I could come to this place again but it's far from my home but I would definitely recommend it if you are a dosa lover. Price for 4 persons 31 pounds.

La comida era absolutamente sublime, tanto yo como mi pareja somos vegetarianos y nos mezclamos pero nos probamos y ambas comidas estaban deliciosas. El tamaño de la porción de arroz era muy bueno, solo pedimos uno entre nosotros. Muy auténtico y fue la mejor comida que he tenido en mucho tiempo. Una desventaja era que una familia muy grande llegó cerca del final de nuestra comida y eran extremadamente ruidosos, lo que se hizo hincapié en lo pequeño que es el restaurante

Awful service. My heavily pregnant wife called to order and was told to be there in 20mins to collect. She was then sat there for 40 minutes with no ETA despite asking multiple times. Only when she threatened to walk out it turned up. Disgraceful service and treatment. Avoid this place.

Un camarero dijo que solo estaba recibiendo el pago de algunas mesas y que las tendría limpias y listas en unos 10 minutos. En menos tiempo que eso, nos mostraron a una mesa. Se tomaron bebidas y pedidos de comida y llegaron entrantes después de una corta espera. El entrante sambar vada era muy bueno y una ganga por solo £ 5. El plato fuerte de dosas tardó un poco en llegar, pero no fue inesperado con tantos clientes. Las dosas eran frescas, deliciosas y con una relación calidad-precio excepcional para el tamaño. En total, 2 pintas de cerveza, 2 entrantes y 2 dosas llegaron a bastante menos de £ 40. Esto fue muy valioso para la comida recibida. Dosa paneer y vada sambar fueron los aspectos más destacados. Había numerosas opciones vegetarianas, y otros veganos en el menú. Para un establecimiento ocupado, era un buen servicio con personal amable que claramente estaban trabajando duro. Recomendaría a fondo una visita!

Jsr don't even serve you properly. Crowded place but no customer service. The ladies service absolutely awful. Food came 1 hour late and Basically serve you meat and naan 20 mins apart. Made a request for my child for cheese dosa. Lady refused to ask Chef. Asked for bill 3 times.

Great tasting south indian food, especially the dosas and the prawn starters and masala. We were a family of 8 and our dishes took between 10 and 30 minutes to be served.

I've been a loyal customer at Dosa World for a long time, and I’ve always enjoyed the food, which is consistently excellent. I've even brought my friends along on many occasions because I wanted them to experience the great food you offer. However, there's a male staff member with a beard, often seen wearing a black shirt, whose rude behavior has increasingly made our visits uncomfortable. While we initially tried to ignore his dismissive and unprofessional attitude, it has reached a point where we no longer feel welcome at your restaurant. On the other hand, I want to acknowledge that the female staff members have always been polite and provide great service. It’s unfortunate that one individual’s behavior is overshadowing the otherwise positive experiences we’ve had. Because of this ongoing issue, I’m sorry to say that my friends and I won’t be returning to Dosa World. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for others in the future.

Been here to order chicken biryani, but staff told until Tuesday it is not available. Is this a restaurant..! So disgusting. Having a little menu but still can't even maintain it. Everytime I come here I'll be disappointed.

Had been to Dosa world few years ago with friends and family and, we had good food so went back today. Ordered mysore masala dos, potato stuffing in it was definitely not fresh with some bad taste to it. So returned. Masala dosa ordered came after which had same old potato stuffing which couldn’t be eaten. Kidd dosa was ok. Onion dosa wasn’t authentic onion dosa made in south India. Chettinad curry was ok but looks like made hours ago not fresh. Chicken 65 was not good. Orange juice is horrible, it was like sugar water with some orange flavour, light orange colour and kids disappointed. Mango lassi also was substandard, did not taste like fresh mango but was like canned mango. Probably won’t be going back there. Service is not good; we had to ask for plates several times and had to take the cutlery ourselves. One lady did serve hot water on asking for our elderly parent which was nice of her. Substandard overall, disappointing experience.

This place is a perfect dining location for people who love authentic South Indian food. The moment you walk in, you're hit with the amazing aroma of spices and fresh dishes. The dosas are out of this world—super crispy and packed with flavour. The sambar and chutneys that come with the dosas are just as tasty and complement the meal perfectly. The Naans and the currys they serve along with it are unbelievably delicious.The staff is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. Definitely a recommend for anyone who goes to Bournemouth, enjoys the beach and wants a perfect place to finish the trip.

This is my first review on trip advisor …normally I don’t write the review but as I Indian chef I can’t see that chef is ruining Indian food . Really bad place ,The lady who was taking the order doesn’t have sense to talk very rude and unprofessional also food took 50 mins to come. I recently visited Dosa World, not as a customer, but in search of a part-time job opportunity. Unfortunately, my experience left me quite disheartened, and I feel compelled to share it. After expressing my interest in a part-time position, I was invited to join for trial shifts. Although these shifts were unpaid, I was eager to learn and contribute. Before starting, I spoke with a staff member(I do t want to take his name- but I think the owner will understand whom I am talking about), who informed me that during the trial shifts, I would primarily shadow and observe the work environment. On the day of my trial shift, I quickly realized that the work environment was far from ideal. He, who had initially seemed helpful, turned out to be extremely rude and had a condescending attitude. His behavior was not only directed at me but also towards other staff members. It was disheartening to witness such a toxic environment, especially when one of the female staff members, who was very sweet and positive, was subjected to his harsh treatment as well. There is no proper training also given and without training he screams at the staff. I firmly believe that every workplace should foster a positive and supportive environment among team members to ensure customers receive the best service. However, his attitude and constant shouting at his colleagues were destroying the essence of a collaborative and happy workplace. This toxicity can severely impact the overall morale and effectiveness of the team. Dosa World used to be my go-to place for delicious food, but after seeing firsthand how the staff is treated, particularly by one member, I can no longer support this establishment. A positive work environment is crucial for the well-being of the staff and the satisfaction of the customers.

The service was incredible. Me and my family had an amazing experience with the service being fast and the food tasting incredible. Would definitely recommend people to come here after a wonderful day at the beach.

During my trip to Bournemouth, I have been at several indian restaurants. But Dosa World was BY FAR the best place! Ive eaten several Curries here. First the Sri Lankan Curry - which was very very VERY hot! But I love it spicy. Then I have eaten a Tikka Masala - which was one of the best, I have had so far in my live. And Ive tried the Biryani of a friend, that was also great. The sauces were special. And I have had a Kadai Gosht - which was also sooo tasty! Dosa World is my favourite restaurant in Bournemouth!
