We thoroughly enjoyed our lamb curry dosa and fish curry. The starter was delicious too. Reminded us a lot of our trip to southern India. Service was friendly and food served quickly even though they were quite busy.

Good food and friendly service. Prices were affordable. Will definitely be coming back here again.

Great Food and Good Working staff ,Should be little fast

Awful service. My heavily pregnant wife called to order and was told to be there in 20mins to collect. She was then sat there for 40 minutes with no ETA despite asking multiple times. Only when she threatened to walk out it turned up. Disgraceful service and treatment. Avoid this place.

It's a busy period in Bournemouth due to the Air Show, which might account for a full restaurant on a Wednesday night. A waiter said he was just taking payment for a few tables and would have them cleaned and ready in about 10 minutes. In less time than that, we were shown to a table. Drinks and food orders were taken and starters arrived after a short wait. The sambar vada starter was really good and a bargain for only £5. The main course of dosas took a while to arrive, but was not unexpected with so many customers. Dosas were fresh, delicious and exceptional value for the size. In total, 2 pints of beer, 2 starters and 2 dosas came to well under £40. This was great value for the food received. Paneer dosa and sambar vada were the highlights. There were numerous veggie options, and other vegan on the menu. For a busy establishment, it was good service with friendly staff who were clearly working hard. Would thoroughly recommend a visit!

I went to this place few days back and the food was really tasty. You get the proper authentic indian taste. This is my ho to place now for everytime i want to eat indian food.

Jsr don't even serve you properly. Crowded place but no customer service. The ladies service absolutely awful. Food came 1 hour late and Basically serve you meat and naan 20 mins apart. Made a request for my child for cheese dosa. Lady refused to ask Chef. Asked for bill 3 times.

Great tasting south indian food, especially the dosas and the prawn starters and masala. We were a family of 8 and our dishes took between 10 and 30 minutes to be served.

DIVYA AND KYAKI were really good at thier service! They deserve a good applause for handling the service in a busy operation. The Kuttu Parottas are a highlight at Dosa World

Very good service and tasty food. Definitely recommended. Our host Rakesh was very kind and friendly. He has best knowledge in Indian cuisine. The whole team was very attentive and sincere. Fast service in busy time as well. My favorite is Mysore masala dosa !!

I've been a loyal customer at Dosa World for a long time, and I’ve always enjoyed the food, which is consistently excellent. I've even brought my friends along on many occasions because I wanted them to experience the great food you offer. However, there's a male staff member with a beard, often seen wearing a black shirt, whose rude behavior has increasingly made our visits uncomfortable. While we initially tried to ignore his dismissive and unprofessional attitude, it has reached a point where we no longer feel welcome at your restaurant. On the other hand, I want to acknowledge that the female staff members have always been polite and provide great service. It’s unfortunate that one individual’s behavior is overshadowing the otherwise positive experiences we’ve had. Because of this ongoing issue, I’m sorry to say that my friends and I won’t be returning to Dosa World. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for others in the future.

Been here to order chicken biryani, but staff told until Tuesday it is not available. Is this a restaurant..! So disgusting. Having a little menu but still can't even maintain it. Everytime I come here I'll be disappointed.

Had been to Dosa world few years ago with friends and family and, we had good food so went back today. Ordered mysore masala dos, potato stuffing in it was definitely not fresh with some bad taste to it. So returned. Masala dosa ordered came after which had same old potato stuffing which couldn’t be eaten. Kidd dosa was ok. Onion dosa wasn’t authentic onion dosa made in south India. Chettinad curry was ok but looks like made hours ago not fresh. Chicken 65 was not good. Orange juice is horrible, it was like sugar water with some orange flavour, light orange colour and kids disappointed. Mango lassi also was substandard, did not taste like fresh mango but was like canned mango. Probably won’t be going back there. Service is not good; we had to ask for plates several times and had to take the cutlery ourselves. One lady did serve hot water on asking for our elderly parent which was nice of her. Substandard overall, disappointing experience.

This is my first review on trip advisor …normally I don’t write the review but as I Indian chef I can’t see that chef is ruining Indian food . Really bad place ,The lady who was taking the order doesn’t have sense to talk very rude and unprofessional also food took 50 mins to come. Funny chef was working in kitchen we ordered chicken lollipop and dish came with tomato and garlic sauce with chicken wings ,ordered chilli paneer waste food I ever had,burned naan Shame shame shame …

This place is a perfect dining location for people who love authentic South Indian food. The moment you walk in, you're hit with the amazing aroma of spices and fresh dishes. The dosas are out of this world—super crispy and packed with flavour. The sambar and chutneys that come with the dosas are just as tasty and complement the meal perfectly. The Naans and the currys they serve along with it are unbelievably delicious.The staff is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. Definitely a recommend for anyone who goes to Bournemouth, enjoys the beach and wants a perfect place to finish the trip.

Amazing food and comfortable clean surroundings. We had paneer and mushroom pepper stir fry starters. Best we have ever had, will come again. Rice portion was huge.

I recently visited Dosa World, not as a customer, but in search of a part-time job opportunity. Unfortunately, my experience left me quite disheartened, and I feel compelled to share it. After expressing my interest in a part-time position, I was invited to join for trial shifts. Although these shifts were unpaid, I was eager to learn and contribute. Before starting, I spoke with a staff member(I do t want to take his name- but I think the owner will understand whom I am talking about), who informed me that during the trial shifts, I would primarily shadow and observe the work environment. On the day of my trial shift, I quickly realized that the work environment was far from ideal. He, who had initially seemed helpful, turned out to be extremely rude and had a condescending attitude. His behavior was not only directed at me but also towards other staff members. It was disheartening to witness such a toxic environment, especially when one of the female staff members, who was very sweet and positive, was subjected to his harsh treatment as well. There is no proper training also given and without training he screams at the staff. I firmly believe that every workplace should foster a positive and supportive environment among team members to ensure customers receive the best service. However, his attitude and constant shouting at his colleagues were destroying the essence of a collaborative and happy workplace. This toxicity can severely impact the overall morale and effectiveness of the team. Dosa World used to be my go-to place for delicious food, but after seeing firsthand how the staff is treated, particularly by one member, I can no longer support this establishment. A positive work environment is crucial for the well-being of the staff and the satisfaction of the customers.

Food was absolutely mouthwatering. I have never tasted chilli paneer as delicious as this, it was cooked to perfection as the crispiness was perfect and the taste was immaculate and the naan bread was so incredibly tasty that I am eager to return as soon as possible.

During my trip to Bournemouth, I have been at several indian restaurants. But Dosa World was BY FAR the best place! Ive eaten several Curries here. First the Sri Lankan Curry - which was very very VERY hot! But I love it spicy. Then I have eaten a Tikka Masala - which was one of the best, I have had so far in my live. And Ive tried the Biryani of a friend, that was also great. The sauces were special. And I have had a Kadai Gosht - which was also sooo tasty! Dosa World is my favourite restaurant in Bournemouth! Extremely poor service, took ages to get my food, but food was good though. Behaviour of one of the worker(male) was not so good with other customers.

This was the best Indian food I have had so far in the UK.

Ordered a takeaway on a Monday evening and waited an hour for it. When it arrived it was cold. The Naan was tough, one order of Popadom turned out to be just that - one and it was in pieces. There were hardly any vegetables in the vegetable biryani, the Aubergine curry was just slop and both were massively over salted. Worse Indian takeaway I've ever ordered - inedable! What a waste of money.

Ordered online, no issues there. The issue for me was paying £2.50 to get 2 poppadum and not even a decent amount of sauce. THEN when i called to express my dissatisfaction of paying £1.25 per poppadum. The lady i spoke to tried to insinuate it was an issue with deliveroo. I then asked if she’s saying the driver has dipped his hand in and she’s said she can’t comment but the issue is with deliveroo, again. Will never eat from here again. The picture added was the portion of poppadum. Can’t believe it, £1.25 PER poppadum. Save your time and eat elsewhere.

The food was delicious, but looks like there was lack of communication, we informed them that we need ghee roast Dosa for our kids, but they didn't informed us about the size of the Dosa(it was massive compared to kids meal size) also this meal came the last. my kids were initially board waiting for food and later tired by the time their food came. we had to later just pack the food and go as kids were sleepy and in no mood to eat it.

I found hair in food. This is totally unhygienic and rubbish. When I called the restaurant the staff was rude. They don't care about their customers. If I fall I'll or something so who is responsible for it.

Quite authentic food and the dosas are all equally good! Tried a couple of different ones and they were lipsmackingly good. The non vegetarian food is excellent too, especially the chicken lollipop. And it’s halal. Ambience is all right, nothing too fancy, but comfortable enough. It isn’t crowded during the mornings which is a plus if you want to have breakfast here.

First time to Foss, absolutely fantastic, food wonderful, have eaten different regions of Indian food & cook it myself, lived up too expectations, staff explained different dishes & how hot or not, comfortable chairs great when you spend couple of hours eating. Would go back again great value.

We have waited almost more thn 40 minutes for food. Reception girl was very polite but their service… people come here for having food not for a spending a whole day… they really need to work on their service. We wasted our 2 hours

The restaurant has a lovely ambience and the staff were very welcoming. The food was outstanding and a reasonable price for a generous portion of food. I would definitely recommend masala dosa and Daal Thadka.

Extremely bad service. The staff always made us waiting for at least 5mins just to get the menu. And more than 40 mins of waiting for the food. We always ended up waiting about an hour. I came because of the food but got me thinking about the service again. This is my third time here and the guy staff has an attitude talking way to us. It’s not even the busy time. This could be the last time here. The last time, he got us the wrong order and didn’t even try to fix. We were not expecting to give us free but that is not how a proper restaurant serve.

Authentic Indian food. Very real and I recommend this only place in Bournemouth. My favourite is their Chilly Fish, Kadai ghosh and samosa chat

This is my third visit to Dosa World and again as always it didn’t disappoint. The menu is a little bit overwhelming as there is stuff I do not recognise but the staff are amazingly kind and make helpful recommendations. The food was freshly prepared and so tasty. We had a Sri Lankan chicken curry and the meat just fell off the bone. Cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend Dosa World again and again.

Very bad experience without even eating in the restaurant. We booked a table arrived at the location. Here is the best part, it was closed so we had to find somewhere else! I didnt get a call or anything. The good news is there is a better place a few doors down with amazing food.

Lip smacking food, top service. Neat and clean restaurant. The food was hot, fresh and made with quality ingredients. Our heartfelt compliment to the chef and the whole team of Dosa World. It is a stand out amongst its competitors. My partner and I strongly recommend Mysore Masala Dosa, Chicken Kotthu and Chilly Idli (if you want to try something different).

We went there and were told that they didn’t have any dosa. We ordered our meal and it took more than 1 hour to get all our dishes. We then finished our meal and they started serving dosa all of a sudden. We are so disappointed and will not come here for a very long time

The service provided was subpar and the staff's demeanor indicated a lack of concern for customer satisfaction. The extended wait times were unacceptable, and even basic amenities such as tea and coffee were unavailable during the middle of the day . Despite the aforementioned shortcomings, the dosa was of satisfactory quality. However, the primary issue remains the extremely poor service.

I don't know about the food details. Because they didn't even behave nicely with the customer. Just said no space left in a bad manner. Not even created a welcoming environment.

Would highly recommend This no-frills Dossa, the staff are always really friendly and the food is great and good value for money. Been coming here for years and the quality and prices pretty much remain the same. Definitely doesn’t have a ambience to it but if you’re looking for quality food and a friendly Atmosphere it’s a great place to go.

Great place. Great food. Came in twice for a dine in during a holiday. Mango lassi was superb. The prawn Biriyani with the gravy was exceptional! The other items we tried were: Malabar Parota, prawn dosa, kothu, fried rice. It was all good!

The service was incredibly disappointing. It seemed they were understaffed and lacked attention to detail. Upon entering, we waited at the door for a few minutes despite several empty tables. Eventually seated, our order was taken after another group who arrived later. Despite requesting to keep one of the chutneys separate due to an allergy, it wasn't accommodated. We received our dishes sporadically, with neighboring tables which arrived after us, being served before us, making it impossible to enjoy a hot meal. One of the items never came but we were so tired of the wait we didn’t bother.

Absolutely superb food. I love a dosa and these are of the highest quality. Will make a point of visiting whenever I'm in Bournemouth.

Parking was a pain. Service was too slow. Order was taken after long time. Food came very late. Most of the items were not available. For example Chicken biryani, wada, noodles were not available. Best take away and eat at home. Food was good in taste though. Would avoid in future.

Used to frequent this place during 2014 when I was a student at BU! I'd miss Indian food and would make it a point to visit every weekend for their amazing £6 unlimited buffet!

Great dosa and friendly staff. The menu is vegetarian-friendly, portion sizes are large and reasonably priced. Always enjoy going here.
