Dora's Cups & Cones in Southampton

It was expensive, no options for those with alleges and was not capable of handling large orders. I would love to give you 5 stars but I don’t want to mislead and I prioritise others interests over yourself.

A lovely little cafe with superb ice cream. We go regularly & never tire of the place. Good tea & coffee too.

Found this little after a stroll along Riverside park. I had an iced coffee milkshake ... which was amazing and very much needed after that heatwave.

Fui a tomar un café con un amigo ya que es local, nunca he estado aquí antes y no volveré. No es muy acogedor y los asientos son muy incómodos, como un estrecho banco de madera, pero los amplios asientos acolchados tenían un aviso "reservado para el personal". ! ! ! Pedimos té / café y un pastel, lo cual estuvo bien, pero nunca trajeron el pastel, después de esperar diez minutos, ¡pedí el pastel que trajeron! ! !

Tomé café y un sándwich mientras comprobaba el área local que acababa de mudarse. Maravilloso lugar excelente comida

Convencidos por las críticas de TA, los dos nietos y abuelos visitaron, supuestamente para el regalo de cumpleaños de los nietos. Había razonado que como era cerca de la hora del almuerzo, también podríamos tomar un bocado ligero. Los positivos; - fabulosos cafés (2) hechos a máquina. fabulosa sopa casera de calabaza con pan local. (1) Precio razonable, al igual que las cocas. Los negativos; - Pude ver el jamón mojado en rodajas sacado de un paquete. No hay carne adecuada. Paninis: no tienen chapata, es pan rebanado. Entonces, ¿por qué no llamarlo sándwich tostado? Sin saludo al entrar, sin acuse de recibo cuando nos fuimos. Lo atribuyo al personal joven e inexperto que es muy tranquilo pero que ciertamente no se siente bienvenido.  El nieto de 10 años transmitió "panini" y recibió lo que se llama gofres. Incluso Él dijo que era absolutamente terrible, claramente está fuera de un paquete, pequeño y flácido con una pequeña selección de fruta y jarabe. Nos cobraron el impactante precio de 5. 95) Lea mi próxima reseña para Sprinkles, Portswood, para ver que lo masivo era 1. 55 más en Sprinkles y vale cada centavo. Pedimos los tés de crema. Ya no los hacen más. (Por cierto, tuvimos que seguir levantándonos para ir al mostrador, tanto para ver los tableros de menús como para hablar con los miembros del personal ya que no hay menús y hay que pedirlos en el mostrador). Luego nos dimos por vencidos, pagamos nuestros 25 y luego visitamos Sprinkles. Impactante, caro, entregado y no orientado al cliente en absoluto.

This is a small cafe on Manor Farm road which my grandson [aged 3] said we must visit. The staff were friendly and helpful when discussing food allergies . All the ice creams have a comprehensive list as to the ingredients. We were welcomed to eat in or takeaway and nothing seemed too much trouble.My grand son was right. Excellent ice cream at a reasonable price.

Quite rightly one of the top places for desserts in Southampton. Located outside the hustle and bustle and near to the Bitterne Country Park this place offers up a wide variety of ice creams, shakes, sundaes and smoothies. Also homemade cakes and American pancakes. Speciality teas and coffees. Very friendly and welcoming staff, with on road parking. 4 legged friends are welcome.

The Songbird provides the most delicious Marshfield Farm ice cream, which is mostly gluten free. You can go wild with all sorts of sundaes and other lovely creations, plus cakes and various savoury dishes too. Great atmosphere. Outside seating for the nice weather.

I had the most amazing afternoon tea here for my daughters hen do, they provided me with a delicious selecting of gluten free cakes which were all hand made and a lovely selection of gluten free sandwiches. It was a very reasonable price too.

Had an amazing afternoon tea here for my hen do. It was delicious! Such a relaxed atmosphere and the staff were so friendly and laid back. Even managed to cater for my family members with various dietary requirements. Massive thank you! Would 100% recommend this little treasure of a cafe ❤️

A charming cafe, very peaceful with lovely gentle music. Great for families. Great selection of food and ice-cream and drinks. Will definitely return!

We found this place on TripAdvisor after looking for a place to get ice cream on one of the hottest days of the year after our lovely camping trip in Netley. We didn't want to leave our car as our tent was on top. We parked right outside and got an outside table. Firstly I was surprised at the range of menu options inc GF and LF options. This makes a very pleasant change for me as I can not tolerate either. My family had ice creams and my son dropped his (twice!!) The owner offered to replace it both times at no extra cost which was so lovely of her and a huge relief as I didn't want to drive home with a screaming child. When I got to the til I found I could pay contactless with my phone - very sophisticated! I say diamond in the rough as the shops around made me a bit dubious but this place is lovely.

Wonderful customer service, great drinks and panini's, relaxing vibes. Would come here more often if I could!

First impressions were good, all seemed clean, tidy, inviting. Not overly busy, I overheard staff saying that they had been busy. The menu looked exciting and the prices reasonable - although I cannot comment on portion size or quality of food served. My husband and I found a vacant table and sat down. I do not recall being greeted on entering, but the staff did seem to be busy behind the counter. We observed the menus for a some time, then decided on a toasted sandwich to share (which we hoped to follow up with some ice cream / cake as it looked delicious!). We waited a little as the counter was busy with takeaway customers. We wondered if it might have been table service, but concluded we probably were supposed to order at the till. Unfortunately other customers then entered and so I decided just to get up and make our order. I approached the counter, waiting for one customer to have their order taken, then requested a toasted sandwich - to be told that they were no longer serving toasted sandwiches as these were only served over the lunch time period. I was not offered an alternative 'lunch' option, nor did I feel the member of staff was sorry for the inconvinience that this may cause (we had walked a long way to visit). I found myself saying 'Oh sorry, I did not realise you only served sandwiches at certain times of the day' thinking it was later in the day than it actually was. I looked up at the menu to see that lunch is served until 14:30. It was 14:32 according to their clock, at the time of ordering, and we had been sat in the cafe for some time prior to this. I found this treatment overall quite unfair. I really no not like to leave a bad review, but I did not feel our potential custom was valued. I like a walk in the area and it would have been nice to find a café like this to visit when we walk there.

Visited here recently with family and never knew it existed as don't go down to Bitterne Park Triangle a great deal. 3 other cafes within the triangle but would be hard to beat this place. Very pleasant staff and great variety of drinks as well as sundaes and waffles. Perfect place to visit after a walk around Riverside Park.

It’s a little cafe specialising in ice cream but also offering savoury snacks and waffles + nice coffee and tea. Also offers a number of events in the evenings. A local gem.

There is a really friendly atmosphere and the menu, though small, is perfect for lunch. Great paninis and really delicious cakes.

Wow! I love this place! A friendly quirky little icecream shop. My little boy loved his sundea and my latte was perfect! We shall recommend and come back!

Facebook hace de este hotel un lugar increíble, sin embargo he estado en mejores lugares. La comida era buena y tienes lo que pagas, pero no cantan y bailan. Selección de helados es bueno y el personal era acogedor. Un poco de la media.

Great drinks and nice decor. Love the quaint garden. Would recommend this place. The owners of this restaurant really care about community and it's great to support them. Lots of arts and crafts here too. Just chatted to the knitting group ladies!

Personal muy amable, agradable y cómodo espacio, pasteles y gofres así como helados. Los talleres creativos de pequeñas y ocasionales actuaciones e. g. Grupo de tejer, músicos locales.

A menudo me tome mi nieta aquí para disfrutar de las actividades de artesanía. La semana pasada hicimos animales y hoy nos color decopage. Es justo decir que disfrutar de estas sesiones tanto como ella lo hace. Los paninis y helados son maravillosos.

Parece que siempre terminan aquí si los niños tienen algo que ver con ello! Gran selección de helados, cosas dulces y café para los adultos. Personal amable y agradable ambiente relajado.

Tuvimos tiempo para desechos mientras nuestro coche estaba siendo probado, así que caminamos las tiendas triángulo, y descubrió el Café Helado y Songbird creaciones. No podemos hablar maravillas del servicio ofrecido en tales entornos diferentes de interés. Las opciones de helado eran impresionantes y café y pasteles, efectivamente, creativa. Altamente recomendado.

Have been here a couple of times with my kids for and ice cream treat. Lovely atmosphere. No TV unlike the other ice cream places in Southampton so the kids will actually talk to me rather than gawping at the TV! Yummy ice cream and very friendly servuce

Very homely and friendly . Not slick or cool unlike other Southampton ice cream places. Had a selection of different waffles. All tasty. Waffles £4.50 each. Range of craft/art to buy and craft to make. Worth supporting.

Great for a treat or as a regular coffee, ice cream spot. Daughters birthday party went really well. The owner manager and staff are so lovely. Nothing is too much effort. Really nicely done inside. Just fab.

I visited this cafe on a whim after a walk with a friend in riverside park. It's not especially pushchair friendly as there are steps in and quite small inside but the owner moved the tables around so they could accommodate us. It was a lovely place to sit and enjoy a good cuppa and tere is a huge choice of ice creams starting from the usual vanilla and going to the more adventurous chilli and lime (delicious!). I enjoyed my visit so much I returned a few days later with a different group and will most certainly return. It's not the cheapest in the area but is definitely the nicest.

We stopped off here for coffee whilst on a family day out. The waffles, cakes and ice creak sundae's all looked great, so we indulged. The service was prompt and friendly, we will definitely be back when we visit the area again!!

I visited with my friend and our 13 year old sons. Really friendly and welcoming staff. Delicious ice cream and great coffee. Played cards whilst chatting. Relaxed atmosphere. Gorgeous decor and even managed to pick up a card and present for a friend. We will be back.

Delicious ice-cream, I especially loved the ice-cream and espresso combo! Yummy. My favourite is probably salted caramel. Very friendly service and cute surroundings - english tea room style.

Popped in for an ice cream with my daughter. What a pretty, light cafe with lovely staff and delicious ice cream. The lime and chilli was gorgeous. Tempted to pop back tomorrow to try one of the other flavours!

I visited here this weekend as heard it had changed hands. I had the salted caramel ice cream and it was delicious! I also had a coffee and since I've given up sugar in drinks I haven't been enjoying it as much but this was lovely and mild. I took my friend and our two toddlers, the staff were really kind and patient with the children, we felt very relaxed in there - would recommend.

It is so lovely to wander down the road to this special little place! Always a warm welcome, delicious ice cream and great prices too!

I came here with my daughter who is a very fussy eater and she absolutely loved the ice cream! It had a lovely atmosphere and the owners made us feel very welcome I can recommend this place to anyone!!

I was recommended this place as they do gluten free cones and I am Coeliac. The lady was very friendly and made an excellent effort to make sure I felt included. She got out all the ice creams that hadn't been contaminated at all and got out fresh gf cones. I couldn't have all the flavours obviously but who cares, being gf I don't expect that and they have gf cones! They also cater for a lot of other allergies and it's nut free, the lady said they like to include everybody which is refreshing. The decoration in there is lovely and a nice change for Southampton!!

I loved the atmosphere here, as soon as we walked in we were made to feel like members of the family. Great range of hot and cold drinks, ice creams and sweeties.

My kids love it and enjoy the ice cream. Personally, I would say that its a little over priced. The ice cream is good and it is ice cream and not gelato like other places. It's very clean inside and it never seems to be a problem to get a table. Though we haven't tried them I like the sound of the kids sundae making lessons, the cheese and wine evenings and Halloween wine evenings. This is a great local little business, more of which are needed at the Triangle. If I didn't work full time I would probably take my kids there after school more often.

I've been twice. As a huge ice cream fan I'm very fussy about the quality and this place is excellent. The ice cream is good quality other than Italian gelato in Italy it's my favourite. I have tried two kinds the honey and ginger as well as the Caribbean coconut both were excellent. A must if, you are in the area rain or shine.

Just popped in here on a whim with my 2 small children.Lovely welcoming feeling, decor is gorgeous too.We just had ice creams (cute teddy bear cones for the kiddies) & tub for me but decided to sit inside as it was soooo hot out.We sat in the small back room, which is again lovely.Noticed the family on the table accross the room were enjoying wonderful looking sundees & waffles.Can't wait to go again as our ice creams where lovely tasting (we all tired abit of each others).

We have had coffee and cake and ice-cream here a number of times and we all have enjoyed everything we have had. Worth a visit if you are in the area. Friendly helpful staff. Hope it lasts. Kids and adults alike seem to like it. Shame that the seating is a bit limited

I've visited this ice cream shop on a few occasions now and never have been disappointed. Good quality true ice cream, lovely staff. Just what bitterne needs. A place to meet, eat, drink and socialise.

Stopped by as had been recommended by a friend. Was very impressed. Good quality coffee and the staff seemed very polite. Deffo a nice change to sitting In a costa.

Omg what can I say.loved the coffee & cake and my daughter had waffles awith ice cream and devoured every morsel ( which is an achievement for her).the staff were very friendly and the decor is beautiful.Highly recommend a visit.

We stop here on a fairly regular basis either as a treat or before a walk along the riverside. Great location, lovely decor, fantastic staff and that's before you even taste the icecream! Real dairy icecream and mums favourite tutti frutti which we have yet to find anywhere else!! Would highly recommend a visit

Took my granddaughter here today for a treat and what a lovely time we had. High chair for her and a big table for me! The decor is perfect and the staff so friendly and helpful. Also there is a toilet available - good to know!The ice creams we had were delicious and I look forward to visiting again and trying a coffee and waffles.It's a place well worth visiting and supporting - we will definitely will be! A long walk in the park first will use up the calories!

We visited for the second time today and had waffles! £4 for the most delicious waffle and your choice of four ice cream flavours on top and choice of syrup! I really recommend the coconut syrup. The waffles are not like Sprinkles (waffle/gelato) branches in Portswood and Soton' town centre. These actually have taste to them and are crispy on the outside and gooey in the middle. Much better friendly service at Dora's :) I love the way they have decorated the place. Support the local bitterne park community and visit Dora's for excellent ice cream, coffee and waffles.

Lovely place to grab an ice cream after walk along Riverside Park. Lots of different flavoured ice creams; funky banana, heavenly honeycomb, raspberry pavallova to name just a few. A waffle,two different flavoured ice cream, topped with some sauce, £4. Excellent value. The coffee was also very good.

Decorated in a lovely shabby chic (stained white wood, Cath Kidston esque florals, bunting etc) style. Fantastic range of ice creams and sorbets (honeycomb, strawberries and cream, cookies and cream, blackcurrant sorbet, bubblegum, honey and ginger..etc),ice cream floats in Fentemanns drinks, Coffee and Cake, flavoured cones all reasonable priced.Staff are lovely and very helpful.Clean toilets too!A perfect edition to the triangle!

what an amazing place!!! after a long walk in lovely riverside park, we stopped by at dora's cups and cones. The decor is very stylish which is a good start. Then on to the ice-cream; a great range of mouthwatering flavours with lovely waffle cones and really cute teddy bear cones for children. The staff were very knowledgeable, I am a coeliac and wanted to know if I could have any of the flavours. In all the other ice cream places in Southampton there seems to be no gluten free options. At Dora's though, as all the ice creams are such good quality I could take my pick! Even more exciting news.. they had gluten free cones!! I have visited 3 times now and each time there has been a great buzzy atmosphere, great staff, great service and THE BEST ICE CREAM IN TOWN! Blackcurrant and clotted cream is my favourite so far! Going again very soon. Definitely a place to go!

Incredible ice cream, wonderful waffles and amazing coffee enjoyed in a fabulous shop with welcoming, friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble. Very clean, comfortable and very competitively price. What more can I say...... All in all a great place to visit. Excellent !!

Amazing range of yummy tasting ice cream, lovely atmosphere in a pretty little parlour. Friendly helpful staff. The only problem is choosing which flavour to have they all look so good!!
