Absolute rip off 2 bog standard burgers and cheesy chips was a staggering £37.50 🫣🫣 wasn’t nothing to write home about I found a black hair in my burger and the salad was black and slimy absolutely rank a waste of money nothing spectacular which I’d expect for that sort of money

Best burgers I’ve had in a long time. Big portions, good prices, the buns are top tier and the menu is super big. Me and my boys inhaled everything, food didn’t last more than 5 minutes 😂 Honestly, 10/10

The food here is nice and the burger was lovely, for the price though was 10 pound with a can of coke it was over priced for the portion size. I was still hungry afterwards so had to buy some chicken from asdas . I've been more full of a normal burger from burgerking . If they had realistic prices for the people of Hull I would use it regular but as it stands the food is over priced in my opinion. Nearly an hour wage for 1 burger come on .

I ordered chicken strips and a vanilla milkshake The chicken strips were dry flavourless and tasted like they were made days ago. The batter was chewy rather than crispy. For £7.50 for 6 I was expecting something pretty special. The milkshake actually tasted pretty good but £4.50 for a pre made milkshake lined up in the fridge that was no bigger than 400ml is a massive rip-off I should have gone to McDonald’s Definitely won’t be going back

We have always sang dope’s praises, even after it got a bit expensive, it was worth it, until tonight, less than average burger, and lord knows what the beef brisket fries were try to be

First visit tonight to the dope burger on cleavland Street, there was a bit of a wait which was fine, the girl on the till was very smiley. Now the important bit, this was our first visit to any of the dope burger takeaways and we were excited to at last be trying the food as we had heard so much about it. For 3 prions of fries, and 3 burger (one of which was a veggie burger) the bill came to £45 now the burgers were tasty but nothing I've not had before at other burger places and the chips were so over cooked that most of them were left. I fail to see how they won the best burger takeaway on the BBC if tonight's good was there usual standard. I'm afraid I will not be trying them afghan.

Ordered 2 Cheeseburgers and 2 fries with seasoning salt . Chips were over salty and the burgers where raw inside , 1 piece of lettuce , 1 tomato, 1 gherkin and hardly no onion . Having never been before we didn’t know you had to ask for the burger well done . Called them and explained so they cooked 2 more and the staff was very polite but will not go back again as it’s over priced and below average at best .

The best burger I’ve had for a long long time. I’ll definitely be back for seconds yes you pay a little bit extra but you get what you pay for top quality succulent beef burger great kids chicken nuggets. Slight hiccup on the order but quickly sorted.

We enjoyed our 1st burger 6 months ago even though its not the cheapest we gave them another go. This time. Burnt burger for £8,50. Staff only interested in talking between themselves and no customer service. Had better food in my back garden on a bbq. Maybe there s a lesson. Wont be here long. Nobody in the shop. Maybe employ a chef and some decent staff.

We had heard fantastic things about Dope Burgers so, when visiting family in the area, really wanted to try it. 3 items from our relatively small order were missing, the food was luke warm on arrival and the menu states “vegan” and when you receive the order are told that parts were missing because they aren’t vegan! When we called for a refund for our missing items (totally about £7), we were told that we couldn’t refund unless we were there in person but they’d do money off the next order - a note left by the till saying that we can have money off. Very poor customer service and not even food to write home about. Don’t fancy returning for our “voucher”, although based on their inability to correctly fill a simple order, I doubt they’ll find the post it note allowing us a discount… a classic case of a business that had found their niche and expanded far more quickly than they can manage.

My husband and his work colleagues went here for their Christmas night out and since then my husband has wanted to take me there too - we finally got to go here yesterday and I got to say I have never had a burger like what I had here ! I had the dope cheese burger and upgraded to the rainbow bagel I have never seen this before and I must admit I was not ready for the tastiness of this - I definitely recommend getting to any dope burger you can and try these amazing burgers - I will most definitely be going back

For the price you pay you expect something special, but all I got was a greasy tasteless burger. First time visiting and definitely the last, I suspect the standards have dropped massively, now they’ve got the name out. It was that bad, Burger King beats the food I had.

Wow where do I start. Placed an order. Came out cold and soggy and burnt if thats possible. specifically asked for no raw onions and got raw onions. Rang to complain no answer ever. Rang the other store and said she would pass the info on and nothing. Not even an apology or to try and rectify. Then emailed and got an email quite quick saying they would sort and when I seen it and replied again no answer to sort. I've sent several emails and messages. It's more the principle to me than the money. I have never dealt with such poor customer service ever and meal went in the bin. I've tried to reach out to sort but have had to resort to this as believe others should be made aware. Never again......

I've often driven past this little burger shop on anlaby road and been tempted to stop and try it. However, parking can be a bit of a pain. Obviously that's not the shops fault.When I did finally visit, I was quite impressed. The shop, tiny though it is, looks very clean, the staff on duty were polite, chatty and pleasant but unfortunately due to its size, when theres more than one customer, you'll probably end up waiting outside. Glad it wasnt raining for my visit!There is a decent selection of burgers on offer but I was surprised to see all the toppings available for the fries. Bacon cheese and maple syrup anyone? Well, actually yes. Me. They were very nice I must say.The burgers themselves seem to be cooked the american way, steamed on a hot plate. This results in a very nice but rather juicy burger. Depending on what toppings you add, this can become a bit of a problem, unless you like that sort of thing. Luckily, I do. This did present a bit of a problem though. The burgers after cooking are wrapped in paper for you and unfortunately my paper kind of dissolved into the burger. Despite extensive surgery on my part, I still ended up eating some of it. Mayne next time I'll ask for it to be wrapped in tin foil only.Price wise its maybe a touch on the expensive side. Burgers start from £6 and some of the options for the fries can be a bit expensive. I spent £13 on burger and chips, but aside from the paper, it was very nice and I would probably order from here again.

Can't deny it's a good burger but £7...... really......just no! I'm all for a business making profit but this is just a step too far, the sum of this burgers parts do not equal its price. If money isn't an issue then tuck in, otherwise value is to be had elsewhere.

Great place to goto food was fantastic and a good price aswell will go again as it was a clean and tidy place. Very easy to fine on goggle maps

So me and my workmate got sent up to Hull for work for the night and when leaving the next day I had absolutely zero nice things to say about the place untill we ate here, it was the highlight of our road trip we are not easy to please when it comes to burgers although dope burgers impressed us very much, brilliant food. nice quirky resfruant. friendly staff 10/10

This place has done really well from being a Zero rating to what it is now. Burger was lovely, in fact, I ate far too much, but we won't go into that, as that would be tmi!! Will be going back (and eating less) :)

Dont let the somewhat ' alternative' premises put you off. The burgers are just FAB ! Best burgers I have ever had ! The black and blue takes me to burger heaven !! Only take away available as premises are tiny. Quality fresh produce. Cooked to perfection. Engaging, happy staff.

My children and I often stop for a juicy lucy dope burger on our way out of Hull. (Beverley Road Dope burger) We like a great burger and this is by far our favourite place. We are more than happy to pay a little more for the quality meat at Dope Burger.

Excellent burgers. ' terrible' premises! - whilst kitchen prep and cooking area is spotlessly clean, the premises are rather 'alternative ' - dont let this put you off. Take away or delivery service only. Tiny premises at top end of Anlaby Road. The black and blue burger was full of flavour. Sweet potatoe fries were crisp and fresh. Polite and efficient service. Top quality burgers.

Ordered a hot dog with 'raclette' cheese which came as a congealed and cold lump in a bun. Sweet potato fries must have been made when we first ordered an hour ago as they were colder than Mr freeze's dick.

Proper America style burgers. Full of salad and topping. Sweet potato fries. Often long queue resulting in a long wait. Definitely worth the wait just wish they were in nicer locations.

I’ve eaten many a burger but this place is unreal. Fresh meat patties which are tender and juicy and the flavours are so rich and tasty. I recommend the ‘Juicy Lucy’ with its cheese stuffed patty and candied bacon for a sweet & succulent treat. Hands down the best burger!

They are okay. Nothing amazing. Bit too greasy and stodgy. No balance to the burger, the fillings just sort of blend together and become one taste.

What an awful experience. The burger I ordered from here was just absolutely dripping with grease. It ran all down my arms and was an absolute nightmare to eat. The sweet potato fries I ordered were like rubber and I certainly would not visit here again! They also use a very interesting tac tic in order to ensure reviews are always positive! Management, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Doesnt look particularly attractive externally or internally but noted that kitchen area was spotlessly clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Good selection of burgers and toppings. Hot dogs too but these can never pass my lips! Burgers are made from quality beef pate and my favourite is the blue and black burger- black treacle and blue cheese! Wonderful flavours. Prices top end for a take away- no seating available, BUT it is a quality product. Good lunch time deal with heavily discounted skin on fries and drink with any any burger.- available 12-5.

I was hungover and fancied junk food so smoke dope burger it was, and it was delicious bit pricey for a burger but never the less nice.

Drank 3 pints, then went for a Smoked Dope. The smell of the bacon is primeval! And though it was a barrel loaf of calories, absolutely nil fat on bacon. One of those basic hole in the wall places that you might shy from without someone saying it’s good. It’s very good

Tonight me and my boyfriend ordered dope from the beverley road shop as we often do because it's usually the best burger around. The burger was alright however it was put together very poorly. The sweet potato fries which we got two of were a joke. There was a handful each, you would get more in a happy meal. They were also undercooked and soggy which was extremely disappointing. I was also still hungry afterwards which never usually happens...not ideal when you're spending 30 quid on a meal for two. On top of that they've upped the sauce price from 50p to £1.50. This is an absolute joke. If you're gonna up the prices up the quality or at least keep it consistent...

Had the Olde Amsterdam burger and every component was delicious and tasted really fresh. Burger was a good size and I found it to be good value. Would definitely recommend.

Went and tried a dope burger on Friday after hearing such good reports. I must say I was very impressed as this was easily the best cheese burger I’ve tried outside the states. Only slight drawback is the price of small extras such as dope sauce costing the consumer extra when I think it should in my eyes be an optional extra.

If I’d have realised they were on here I would have written this sooner. Been coming here since they opened their first little shop, you just will not find a better burger fix anywhere else and you will not convince me otherwise. Both myself and my husband love this place! Amazing burgers, cheesy sweet potato fries are a winner too and add a bit of pulled pork if your feeling extra piggy! Haha staff are always chatty and friendly. You cannot visit Hull without coming here! 1000000% recommend :)

Having been a fan of the original Dope Burger from the Anlaby Road outlet, I've not had the chance to visit for a while but as I am now nearer the Beverley Road shop, I popped in there for tea after finishing work last Thursday. I went for my favourite, the black and blue. The order was taken and £7.50 was asked for. I questioned this as the wall and paper menus had it down for £7.00. The response was a rather surprised "oh, does it still say £7.00 on the wall?" I was offered the 50p back but declined as, despite the price now being £2 more than the initial price a few years ago, I know Dope Burger has a reputation for providing a lot of support for the local homeless and generally give a tip anyway. How I wished I'd taken that 50p after all. The burger was everything it never used to be; smaller - noticeably so, not half as tasty or juicy, very little dressing or black treacle, scant amount of salad which did not crunch (lettuce) or squish (tomato), blue cheese was not overly melted which indicates a burger that's not hot enough - despite being freshly cooked and I needed no serviettes to wipe my chops afterwards either! The black and blue has always been my favourite so I have plenty of past experience to compare it to so be assured, this is not just sour grapes because of the steady price hikes I have noted over the years. By the time I'd got half way home to Withernsea, I literally had a bad taste in my mouth and was hungry again.
